There are no words that could ever describe this beautiful giant of a man! He is the best There is! I have been seeing Dr. Balat for over 25 years and I dread the day he retires. He is the kindest and most personable Doctor you will ever meet! Any problem you have, he is most determined to find an answer. This is how I came to become his patient! After going to 4-5 doctors, one being a female, they all said my problem was just in my head, imagined but Dr. Balat told me he believed me and it was not in my head. He was able to find the problem and resolved it! I have been seeing him ever since! He is a great Doctor! If you are a new patient, don't let anyone get in your way, including his staff! Recently, Dr. Balat performed hysterectomy and I have received excellent care from him and his staff both while in the hospital and since being discharged from the hospital and going for after care. I've been coming here since 2015. My first two Ob-gyn's moved but I've have Dr. Zeid for two years now. He's a great doctor. I had an unexpected diagnosis that was caught thanks to him letting me get tests done. He's been very compassionate and personable. The space is always super clean and the nurses are very nice. I only knocked one star down for the wait time and there's no parking validation like most offices. Overall, this place is great! I highly recommend to anyone looking! read more

Dr. Zeid was my OB Doctor for my first child. I dealt with hyperemesis throughout my entire pregnancy. Dr. Zeid was quick to get me to the hospital when needed and is a let's make sure you're safe Dr - so if I had to call him really late in the evenings even on weekends, he was always willing to do what was best for me and baby, and I called him way too much lol. Fast forward to labor, he let me labor until baby was ready. Dr. Zeid is a great doctor, his nurses are funny and sweet, and I definitely would recommend him to any pregnant mamas looking for an OB. read more

After having a REALLY bad experience with another group of fertility specialists (HFI) in Houston, I was so happy to meet Dr. Zeid! My husband and I have been struggling with infertility for two years now, partly due to living in different cities for a large portion of that time, but partly because it's just hard at our ages! Dr. Zeid really listened, cared about what I wanted, and gave me encouragement and medical advice in a really courteous way. He was never pushy but was always honest about the chances of anything we tried. I never got the impression he was impatient with me, even when I was. Also, his staff is amazing! I always felt like they were rooting for me and happy to see me, which is nice when you are in and out three days in a row, talking about really personal things. Sometimes there is a long wait, but I've always seen Dr. Zeid himself and left feeling confident with my questions answered, and I know he also has to go to the hospital, so I haven't minded much. (Granted I have the luxury of working from home and no kids, so it was fairly easy for me to catch up on work later). The only con for me has been the $7 parking. It's weird while shelling out hundreds of dollars a month that it bothers me, but it does. read more

The foot pads on the examination chair were dirty. Very long wait time, about 1 h. I was not able to log in to my account to view the test results and they would not share them with me on the phone and would not help me access the results. It's unacceptable that you cannot see your test results. read more

The office people are smart asses and put you on hold every five minutes. I tried to call and schedule an appointment for my girlfriend. I explained the situation to them clearly and then they got all smart-alecky when I corrected them on the insurance I said we have. When I went to go give them the information on the insurance, she put me on hold and never came back to the line. I hung up and called back later, but it went to voicemail. I will be looking elsewhere for services because the office staff here are pathetic. It's already ridiculous you have to pay to park there and don't get your ticket validated. I'm sure the actual doctor who is a nice person though. read more

Beyond disappointed.. the 1 star is for the front desk clerk only ,not the doctors. I called on 9/26/23 around 2:15pm to make an appointment for 10/4/23 @3pm and someone (younger chick) didn't even put me in the system, instead put me down for the wrong date. When I called , I was on hold for about 15 min , when I finally got someone on the phone , she stated that they were short handed and she sounded frustrated, and rushed me off the phone as to why I wasn't even put in the system for my appointment. Not only did I drive 45 min , left work early, picked up my daughter early from school so she could be apart of my journey and see the ultra sound , all this to not be put in the system and not be seen . I got a curtesy call on Monday and I even told them I would address my issues on Wednesday with the doctor and they lady didn't even tell me that I didn't have an appointment scheduled for Wednesday. How could you make this mistake and not make it right . read more

So happy to have had Dr. Zeid recommended so many times and would definitely trust him for any upcoming pregnancies! I had a very ugly experience before coming to him and he heard all of my concerns due to a previous and hurtful csection of my second child now had my third baby(rainbow baby)delivered by Dr Zeid and met all of my expectations and made me feel SAFE in his care due to previous miscarriages as well. I am currently 5weeks postpartum from my first csection with Dr Zeid and I have never felt more better during a recovery and overall I have gained my confidence back as funny as it sounds my previous csection was horrible and made my recovery the worse experience and very traumatic. read more

I am in love with this place and Dr. Balat. I transferred to this clinic because I was so unhappy with my last OBGYN, so I decided to give Dr. Balat a try. After years of TRYING to have a baby, I finally conceived, sadly it ended in a miscarriage, but Dr. Balat and his staff were very friendly and very comforting during that time. I love Dr. Balat I wouldnt change anything about the clinic. its nice and clean, plenty of parking in the garage and very easy to get to no matter what side of town that you are coming from. If you are looking for a OBGYN that cares and knows what they are doing, I suggest you give Dr. Balat a try. read more

No one likes to go to the doctor, and while I don't like the waiting room which makes me feel like I've been transported to the 80s with it's odd lighting and strange blue color, I do find the individual rooms rather pleasant (for a doctor's office). There are great views with big windows inside. I really love my doctor. Dr. Rahman seems very interested in me personally and in my health. She's personable and patient. The two visits I've had with her are some of the most pleasant I've ever had. On a side note...parking is not free. Yuck. read more

HORRIBLE place. I went into preterm labor because of a PROLONGED UTI that could have EASILY been avoided if they were checking my urine properly. The day I went to the hospital because of bleeding I was on HUNG UP on, and when I finally was answered I was on hold the entire trip to the hospital, my obgyn didn't even make it to the hospital till hours later when it was TOO LATE. Now that I'm pregnant again my new obgyn was requesting my file to see what happened in my last pregnancy to see what we can do to avoid it & she constantly called the office requesting my file be faxed over & they ignored it. Dr. Balat is the best! Personable with great bedside manner. I am an older woman (over 35) and he encouraged me that I could still be a mother despite the fact that many other doctors may instantly consider me high risk due to age. He encourages lifestyle changes in collaboration with medication to ensure a healthy pregnancy. I actually left the clinic and went to another doctor because I moved and I went back because there are no doctors or staff that compares to the team at Plaza Obgyn. Staff is A1 and office is clean. Bloodwork is taken onsite. Dr. Balat checks everything and if there are any issues he will find it and work on a healthy solution. There is no parking validation but the $7 you pay is worth the quality that you receive in medical services. They also will test your spouse if you are having issues conceiving. I would highly recommend this facility. read more

I decided to go here for my prenatal care because of the great reviews I read on google but I did not experience any of that. They must have been from long ago. I was disappointed every visit and at the end I didn't even get delivered by my doctor. I could go on and on about my experience here but to make it short, It's not even worth paying the continuous parking fee. Would not recommend. read more

Dr. Balat is a good doctor but he's also not the only one in Houston, the wait for him is an hour and every time I come back I hope it gets better but NEVER DOES! I don't understand why he takes forever because when he finally gets to me, he gives me 10 mins of his time and he's always ready to leave to the next one, it's ridiculous. Remember the longer they take is also costing you parking money. Don't recommend anyone to come to this office, they have enough patients and the more they have the more they want knowing they can't handle so many women. read more

This place is amazing. Everyone was so concerned about my comfort and care. I trust the staff implicitly. I had to have a laparoscopy today. I didn't say anything, but I was a little bummed about having 4 new scars. I just checked my incisions and discovered that the doctor put all of the incisions on my existing scars since I didn't have any scar tissue. He is such a good man and this is such a great place. I've been going to plaza ob gyn since 2016 I started off with Dr. Bui and then I found she was no longer with the group. I started seeing Dr. Rahman I gotta say I'm always hesitant about seeing young doctors, but I did my research and always give them the benefit of doubt. Good thing I did I am in love with the way she is with me, very caring, compassionate, smart, reassuring and makes you feel very secure. I always have a pleasant visit with her and her nurse Patty. They are both very knowledgeable and get it done. I've been on a medical leave for a month now and I've NEVER had to call their office to request anything because as soon as I'm out she does it. Besides always being on time they're office is always running on time I don't have to wait long before I'm called their front desk is awesome. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE! They ARE THE BEST!!! The only thing that sucks is the parking, Other than that they're AWESOME AS A GROUP. read more
