For 5 years, I have gone from doctor to doctor to doctor, all of them telling me the same thing, making ME believe the same thing, that there was nothing wrong with me, when in fact there was. I have spent countless amounts of money trying to heal and ultimately cure myself of these parasites and moreso wasted on doctors and tests. Since my fight alone, my mental strength had completely shot down to 0 leaving me as a nervous wreck waiting to explode. I stumbled upon Dr. Eversull and her clinic. I sincerely, cannot stress enough on how she has completely changed my thinking process, given me knowlegdable insight for recovery, enhanced my ability to mentally lift myself up throughout this torture, and she has helped me get back the girl that I though I was losing, because I was losing myself from this. I basically wasted a ton of time with this practice- I gave…read morethem my insurance info UP FRONT, Maria the receptionist insisted that my own PCP or Sleep Study doctor write a prescription for me to obtain an oral device in order for it to be covered by insurance. I thought this was really odd as did my PCP. I set up an appointment, drove all the way there- I really liked Dr Akkad, very personable and made some good recommendations. Another person came in and said you're out of network and there's not enough time to help you this year. I'm mad. I could have focused on someone who WAS in network but felt led to believe my insurance would be accepted from the start. It then pivoted to well you can be a cash pay customer... there's the hook- Clear to me they don't want to deal with insurance when they knew who my provider was all the long. I may act further on this with the state as I definitely felt misled, and this will end up costing me insurance deductibles with a provider who is in network. Be very careful providing them any information or listening to them getting a prescription from a provider.

My main concern was jaw pain from the position my jaw would be in all night. They told me there would be "very minimal jaw discomfort". Needless to say there was severe jaw pain and discomfort, even though I followed their instructions to a T. I called about my concerns and the lady on the phone told me that "the jaw pain would continue for the next 2-3 weeks" and to just keep wearing the device. The pain would only subside when my jaw was in the position the appliance put it in. It took a month of not wearing the device for my jaw and muscles to go back to feeling somewhat normal. I do NOT recommend this device to anyone. I would rather wear a bulky cpap then to go through that kind of pain again.

I have had about 6 visits here in the last few years and the meeting is typically done through telehealth, not once has she joined the meeting within 15 minutes of proposed starting time. INSTEAD OF TALKING TO ME AND GETTING UPDATES, OUT OF THE GATE SHE READS MY CPAP "COMPLIANCE" AND ASSUMES I MAY NEED A BIPAP................ without any indication outside of (c-pap compliance no working + patient says he is using it = need for bi-pap)........... They then inquire about your sleep and if you snore or stop breathing at night when you rest. Next you are sent home with a sleep study device for two (2) nights. when you return for the next visit to return the sleep study device you have a brief video television visit with a doctor down in Florida where they recommend an oral appliance. a few weeks later you are called back into the office and given the appliance, along with gum, rinses, a brush, instructions and a cleaning device. Since they do not have a Medicare signature card on file you receive a call from an associate that informs you that you should be getting a check from Medicare in which you should deposit it in your bank account and write a personal check to Star Sleep and Wellness for $5000.00 and send it to a Post Office Box in Denton, Texas. this whole ordeal sounds very shady and corrupt where I consulted with several specialists in the area of ears nose and throat as well as Medicare reimbursement specialists regarding the billing process. I was instructed to wait until I received a bill in the mail however this business just leaves text messages and calls from unknown phone numbers. Based on what I know about the healthcare industry Medicare generally only pays 80% of the amount billed and every patient is entitled to receive printed reports of the patient results including sleep study results which were never shared or disclosed. Personally I took the time to get a second opinion and met with an ears nose and throat surgeon in Plano, Texas who did a turbinate reduction on me as well as corrected a deviated nasal septum and discussed other options to me regarding eliminating snoring verses meeting with a dentist who wants to put a large oral appliance in your mouth. I offered to return all the rinses, gum, brushes, instructions and the oral appliance back to Star Sleep and Wellness but got no response from this ghost business and the office in McKinney, Texas was permanently closed. The best consumer is an educated consumer, so especially in this case let the customer be aware that these people are very suspicious and sneaky in their business venture.

After the initial consult (in my neighborhood) and co-pays galore, I then had a follow up meeting a couple of weeks later in an online. I was told that they were creating a customized mouth appliance for me, as I scored 'low' on the study. Over two months and $600 later and NO WORD from them, I called the local office to find out what's going on. I learned they had 'moved.' Then I had to do a bunch of research to find national number and call it to get ported over to the Houston office ( I live in a suburb of Houston). I explained to them how unhappy I was with this experience and asked for a refund. They told me that they have the mouth appliance already created and were just waiting on an authorization from my insurance provider. Two months later?!!!? Then, more phone calls and still no authorization. Also, if these people even exist, I'm going to have to drive over 30 minutes during a weekday into hectic downtown Houston, just because the office in my neighborhood no longer exists. Fast forward several more phone calls and we're still at the 'pre-authorization' stage and searching for 'co-morbidities' in order to obtain the authorization. You'd think they would have completed all of that before taking my $600. I will be calling Aetna tomorrow to personally request that this company be blacklisted, along with reaching out to the Better Business Bureau to file a formal complaint. Please believe me when I say that my money WILL ALL BE COMING BACK!!! Absolute fly-by-night, shady business!

This is a good facility and an awesome staff. The individual bedrooms look like a nice hotel room. Lots of pillows, blankets, a fan, a TV, table lamps, plug outlets, nice bedding and drapes. There is both a women's and a men's restroom in hallway outside of the bedrooms. They were clean and spacious. I had good experiences with the techs both times. Very professional, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. In the morning you are offered coffee, juice, and snack. Even though the wiring and strapping are all in place, you can push a button on bracelet to be able to get disconnected from the monitor to go to the restroom. I was tired and looking forward to sleeping... especially knowing that these tests would help me be healthier and have more energy! I recommend this company, this location is in my neighborhood, but there are several locations. The phone staff, schedulers, and text message reminders are so helpful! Be healthier, Yelpers! This location is no longer open…read more Oh I am so excited to be writing this review. First, I appreciate the ability the fire hostile clients. I was not a hostile client. Was I fired because I hurt Sorin's ego, or was it because my sister wrote a bad review of HER experience? I have been a patient of NTINH for over a decade, and in the approximately 50-80 appointments, I was late by 5 minutes one time, and missed 1 appointment due to Apple's "wonderful" update that turns off the alarm sound if you move your phone. I paid the no-show fee without complaint as it was my fault. Second, I received a "certified mail/registered return receipt" that was absolutely not sent by either, I received it by plain, regular first class mail. Lying seems to be second nature to NTINH. I recently started Botox to treat my migraines. It has been, administratively, a nightmare. There was no pamphlet to explain what to expect or how it works. No one ever provided me with the paper aftercare instructions; I had to pick them up myself at the 6-week follow-up. Each time I scheduled an appointment, I was called before my appointment and told that I needed to move my appointment as Paige wasn't available on those days. Both times, the length of time between the call and my new appointment was too short for me to request an update to my time off, and I then had to involve my manager, making everything twice as complicated. Physically, my second Botox appointment was with Sorin (who was very condescending), and it was so much more painful than Ms Wolfe. The front desk staff, particularly in the Plano location, seem not to have evolved beyond high school mean girls. Elaine Timm is one of the meanest doctors I have ever dealt with. That sounds juvenile but holy God was she awful. Every time I went I dreaded going, and ended up with a stress migraine/headache. She withheld useful pain management information for over a year for some unknown reason. The only useful thing she did was suggest Ajovy/Aimovig, otherwise I stayed at status quo for the entire time I was with her. Frankly, the one star is because I have to and because Dr El-Hag was quite kind.

So far so good, I have been very impressed with these folks. Today, during my visit I was…read moreimpressed at the measures they took to protect patients from each other. Prior to my visit, they called me to make certain I was not running any fever and had not in the last two weeks. Additionally, they asked about other potentially concerning symptoms and also any recent travels. My appointment with them involved me actually coming into the office, but in some cases they were conducting appointments via phone calls when they could. When I checked in, the pen was wiped as was the counter both before and after my using them. There was also ample amounts of hand sanitizer both for staff and patients available throughout the office. Once I met with with the therapist, she was nice and gave me all the instructions for my at home sleep study. After my sleep study I will return the equipment and shortly after that I will meet with my doctor and get my results.
