Shared by hikers and bikers, for a large portion, the trails follow a nice creek. It should be noted that in the NE portion of the trails, the wastewater treatment facility "butts" up next to the trails. This means for about five minutes each pass, hikers experience an olfactory delight that motivates them to keep moving forward. This area is a VERY SMALL portion of the trails and is by no means a reason not to visit. Overall, I recommend travelers and locals to visit Park Springs Park.

It is across the street from the Amazeum off of J street. There is a large parking lot for the park. You will have no problem finding parking! Well, unless there is some large happening, in general you should be good. AMENITIES: The park has bathrooms and drinking fountains. There is also a covered picnic table area. Along the pathway of the pond/fountain there are benches as well. PARK: This is a pretty large park. My daughter loves playing by the pond and I have to constantly convince her it is not a good idea to go swimming in the water haha. There is a large field where there are wildflowers. There is a pathway you can walk through it. There are a lot of concrete walkways to walk around the pond/park. The landscape around the park is nicely maintained and generally there are beautiful flowers as well, unless it is winter :( haha. Great park!!

During business hours, you can take your bike by elevator to the N. Forest Trail. This trail will come out near the additional parking and can continue out to J Street. It is then a nice easy flat ride over on 2nd to downtown or on out J to Bike Rack Brewing and the main trail.

It's a beautiful trail. I mostly frequent the Bentonville and rogers part of the trail with riding my bike and walking. For bikes there are many stops along the trail with a bike "tune up" station. I've used it to pump up my tires with their air pump. The station is free to use. There are also some water fountains and seats as well. There are numerous stops to make along the entire trail for shopping, restaurants, museums, etc. You can find the trail map online so you can plan your route! There are also many convenient parking lots to park and hop on the trail. I love how this area is so bike/hike/walk friendly with all the beautiful trails.

We saw a lot of turtles swimming or sun bathing and the kids loved that! The path itself was nice and everyone walking or biking seemed friendly and things were cleaner than my initial impression. I wouldn't swim in this lake, but there were people fishing and that seemed fun and it was a lovely 2 mile easy walk. It felt safe, too. Good for families and pretty views!!

They had a few walking bridges and a nice section by the parking lot with splash areas. The lake was much larger than I thought and had a large paved trail around it all. It was 1.8 miles total with some sections in the direct sun and some uphill so be prepared. There were a few benches and stops to rest on the trail but the only bathrooms were in the front. There were a lot of of people fishing and many concrete docks to walk out on which I thought was a great feature. I did see a lot of garbage in the water and ground and not enough trash cans for sure. Also a lot of goose poop but I guess that happens. We saw many birds, turtles, and fish which my kids liked a lot! I do recommend checking this nice lake out for fishing, nature exploring, or a nice walk.

This path is partially shaded and there are restrooms with water fountains. On the path you will pass an exercise course which is well maintained. This is in my top three paved paths to jog. Concrete engulfed the grounds. Much of it looked like add-ons. It's a pity that more bricks or stones weren't used to add more character and appeal. And oh what a hot July 23, 2025. My dog did well walking in the shaded areas with me. Live music seems non-stop here. Overall, it was a nice area with many shops, a few restaurants, at least one all-things dogs shop, and a simple yet really good ice cream parlor. Across the street in between some shops was a public restroom. The separate women's was a bit of a ramshackle to be honest. On top of that, my two young daughters kept laughing, giggling, and whispering at all the stupid messages and sexually-charged drawings on the walls. Metered street and lot parking nearby.
