Brought in my hp all in one desktop the other day. I didn't know any of the passwords or emails linked to it. It wouldn't reset because of security reasons. So basically it was a very expensive paperweight. I took it to the geek squad and was told it would be at least a week to reset. Small business owner. My computer is the heart and soul of my business. It has been an extremely hard end of year. My laptop randomly refuses to turn on or show any signs of life. Had I simply waited, I would have been fine as it was updating. Instead, I was in a panic and took my laptop to computer citi. They charged me $50 for a diagnostic. Up to this point we are fine. I get a phone call an hour later and they tell me that it was simply updating but they could add a bunch of screws to make everything more stable for $200 dollars(more accurately $187 after taxes). I take some time to consider it but then call them back about 2 hours later. I tell them, I am coming to pick up my laptop. 40 minutes later, I arrive and they tell me that I should have told them I was not going to do the repairs. I cannot take my laptop at this time because it is in pieces. Frustratingly enough, I take accountability for not being more clear and leave. I come back the next day and they try to charge me again for the diagnostic that I already paid for and they were not going to let me leave with my computer without a receipt for it. Once again, I accept that I failed again, in a moment of stress. I walk out to my car and remember that I paid for it with my debit card. I log into my debit account and show where I clearly paid for the service already. At this point, I pickup my computer and take it to my car. But I notice how much more flimsy the screen has become. I'm happy to have my computer back but I'm very curious how it has gotten worse. I get home and take it apart to find that they broke both of the metal screen supports that could ONLY have been broken by taking it apart. Why do I say that? Because the support is still screwed in but the bottom is bent in a way that metal bends when you snap it. I simply look at it stunned. Not only did they not communicate their failure but they were attempting to double charge me for a service where they did not need to do anything. Because again, it was just an hour later when they called me to tell me it was simply updating. I cannot imagine they would have started by taking the machine apart. That seems like dishonest work. But let's assume the best and most earnest practice. Attribute to neglect rather than malice. Why did they not tell me? Because they consider my laptop old? Either way, when I delivered my older laptop it was hurting but not broken; when I retrieved it from them, the screen could no longer support itself and I got a handful of broken plastic around metal threads and unfastened screws. It's as if, they would have only done right by me if I spent the minimum amount of money they wanted to retrieve from each customer. I am very disheartened. I would have been better off never venturing into this business. I feel like there is no way to punish their poor performance and dishonest, low integrity business practices. The entire way, I kept my cool while I was boiling underneath because of their lack of diligence. I do not want to see them succeed. I want them held accountable. The worst I can do is leave them this honest review. I slept on it and meditated on it and thought on it and hoped their Karma was honest and true. And I'm sure it is. I'm sure they wear the weight of it. This review is all I can do. But this is where I let go of it. How they injured me when times were hard and pretended they were unaware of their trespass. I let go and let God. Be aware. Unscrupulous people will do good business half of the time. Do not take your eyes off of them. read more

First and last time ever coming to this store. Reason #1 is because the price of their repairs are way overpriced. Reason #2 If you are getting something replaced they WILL NOT use genuine replacement parts and will charge you more for the labor than the actual part needed. Reason #3 the customer service is terrible they might say a date when it's ready but won't be until a week later unless you keep calling to check in. Reason #4 once again their fees are not worth it would, I would rather go to a corporation to get your stuff fixed and pay their fees. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE ITS NOT WORTH IT. Let's just start by saying I am NOT tech savvy at all and when my little hp notebook decided to run out of memory I freaked and thought I'd be forced to buy a new laptop. Googled computer repair near me, read their reviews and decided to give them a try. Dropped my computer off in the morning and had a call mid-day it was ready for pickup. Their fees are totally reasonable, they talked in terms I could understand when I picket it up and we're super friendly. I was shopping for a custom gaming computer a few years ago and felt as though I was being "annoying" to a different local shop that I used to frequent with my questions about how to build a good rig. I was tired of being tackled by the sales-hungry guys at the chain stores too. Needless to say, I was so glad when I finally found Computer Citi. The owner, Mohammad, asked me a lot of questions and ended up building a great machine for me. Since then, I have been back dozens of times for upgrades, service, etc. I was especially grateful when my hard drive crashed and they were able to recover ALL of my data from it. I promptly referred another friend here and they too were able to get their family photos and videos back from their crashed hard drive too. My wife's laptop was having some issues and needed to get it repaired quickly. I called a couple of places and then found computer citi. They told me over the phone it would take 2 to 24 hours to diagnose and repair. I dropped it off at 11:00AM on Friday. Some time had gone by and I hadn't heard anything so I called them around 4:30pm to get a status as to what the issue was and price. He told me they didn't have time to get to it today but first thing Sat morning the tech would be looking at it. Fast forward to Sat, 3 calls by me to them and finally at 4:45 on Sat they told me the issue and price and it would take 3 to 4 days to repair (for a motherboard). When I expressed my frustration with, what I assumed was the manager, the lack of concern on their promise of timeline I got some excuse about how busy they were. Here's the thing, I was lured in by a timeline they offered, and my urgency was completely ignored and so was the obligation to hold up their promise of a speedy diagnosis, and no one really cared because either way, I still had to pay $32.00 to be treated that poorly. I have since called around other stores and got pricing anywhere from $75.00 to $200.00 less then what they quoted me. Proceed with caution and they will tell you what you want to hear to get you in there. read more

They are wonderful group of guys who are very proper and professional. They fixed my computer very very quickly and gave me almost daily updates on how the process was going. Also, they gave me a total price if I needed new parts. I would recommend this place to anyone from anywhere, definitely have good people behind the counter. For example, I had to have my fan cleaned in my laptop due to noise issues. They not only cleaned not just the fan that was making noise, but cleaned the thermal heat pipes in my entire laptop and the other fan in it. read more

I took my laptop to these guys last month, while in the parking lot I saw a man come out with a box and out it in his car. I entered the store and the man came back in and asked for his charger, what looked like the owner (Mo) told him he already gave it to him, the man claimed he did not find it in the box and Mo told him (too bad) you already left the store. This was a man of 60 or so. He was upset and left, Ii should have walked out with him. I stayed and they told me the estimate cost and I said I needed three things checked. I wrote down two of them and they said never mind the third they knew what to do. I went to leave and asked for a copy of what I signed , Mo said no need and gave a little sticker with a number on it. I left feeling nervous about my choice and after a couple miles I went back and insisted on a copy of what I had wrote down. after 4 calls to them They said my plug was bad, they'd order a new one and that the other two issues, touch screen not working and sound button was moving left to right constantly. I was told on the last two calls that all was fixed and it was ready. I spoke with the tech (Jeff) on all calls. I picked it up again he said it worked got it home, only the plug worked. I called Jeff and he suggested that I try to fix it. I went down there and Jeff after questioning him said they never actually got into my computer because the password didn't work, I verified the password was correct and asked several times why they told me it was fixed and he said they assuned the the new charger would fix it. I asked for part of my estimate back because they NEVER opened my computer, they refused. They flat out ripped me off and said too bad. DO NOT GO HERE. I guess there's never a convenient time for your computer to break since you're probably wanting to use it for a reason. Mine stopped working a week before a major interview for a big new job, and I had crucial files on my computer that I had been preparing to present. I feared all my work was lost and I that would have to start from scratch. I originally took my laptop to another place down the road, and they said the typical turnaround time was close to a week. They seemed very laid back (too much so- I was panicked!) and said they'd give me a call when they had diagnosed the problem. I already knew what the problem was- the screen wasn't working- and I just wanted my files off the hard drive! Like, yesterday! I waited somewhat patiently for almost 24 hours before calling Computer Citi to ask what their typical turnaround time was. The guy was extremely helpful and understanding over the phone, so I immediately drove to the other store to get my laptop back so I could take it to Computer Citi. Within four hours, C.C. called me to tell me that all of my data from the old laptop was on an external drive (as I had requested), and I was able to pick it up and get back to work. I found the price to be very reasonable. I'm borrowing my husband's computer for now, but if I need to buy my own, I will definitely consider buying one of the cheap refurbished ones I saw at Computer Citi. read more
