I dropped off three home towers at the bonney lake location asked if they could build one good one , they said yes no problem going back to check every few weeks with no answers after a few months I asked for my computer's back , they gave me some crappy other customer computers that somebody left they were all junk and one of the computers that I dropped off was liquid cooled and a gaming computer high tech stuff and they gave me the worst crap on the planet ! I've been to them a few times over the last couple years, at first when they still rented out that actual Commercial space across the street from the private Home they're in now. They are knowledgeable and from my most recent visit, quite considerate as I stopped in to see if they could give a Laptop a cleaning before I gave it to a family member. I was in a rush so I couldn't get a thorough internal cleaning as that would take about an hour, but then the owner (I believe) offered to blow out as much junk from the keyboard and vents using compressed air as she could free of charge. That felt too generous so I picked up some cans of compressed air myself since I needed some anyway, which they carried. Try not to let the fact they operate out of an old house these days get to you, they're still pretty professional, they carry the newest, powerful components for sale, and I believe they even build custom PCs. The price point however may be higher since they're a small business. But I do love how there's a place like this in-town for things in a pinch. read more

One of the best computer shops around. I had a graphics issue with my computer recently. Other shops wanted me to bring it in so they could charge me a diagnostic fee and then probably try to sell me a new GPU. Not these guys. Aaron walked through several details with me until we discovered it was a heating issue on my South Bridge which can be fixed with a simple fan. I have never had a bad experience here and everyone who works here seems to know intimate details about PCs. Highly recommended. read more

I brought my laptop here after it seemed to crash.It took about two weeks and the news was bad. A tech. named Chris called and said my hard drive was bad. He could replace the hard drive and would be able to save some info and OS but not my Office programs for about $250. I decided to pick it up and buy a hard drive on my own. The diagnostic they did cost me $40. (I now know most places diagnose for free) On my search for a hard drive another computer place wanted to check my laptop before selling me a new hard drive,guess what... my hard drive was fine.This place repaired my computer in one day and even my office program was accessible.Went back to Computer Shack to get back my $40 after they diagnosed it wrong but they refused. Super responsive, excellent service and communication. I took in a dead laptop and they tried to fix it, unfortunately without success, but they gave me a fairly reasonable answer as to why. They were helpful in selling me a new laptop, and even got it all formatted with all my info and documents transferred over from the recovered hard drive. Her location has changed only a couple of times in all of these years. I had the worst experience with computer shack. I took my computer in for a hard drive replacement, reboot my computer back to factory settings, and load windows 8 into the system with all updates needed.. since the old hard drive was bad, there wasn't any way of pulling off any of my saved information before the hard drive went bad. It seems pretty simple and a given to first wipe clean a used hard drive that was previously used by another computer before installing it into another computer. Making a statement to the customer I didn't think to wipe the hard drive, nor reboot the computer to factory settings. No lets just leave other persons private information and settings for others to use and see. Common sense here guys. final statement is I was ripped off paying for services I never received, oh yes I got the windows 8 installed. At lease they were able to get that right. When I brought it up wanting it to be fixed, they refused to fix their mistakes, because it will take precious time to undo their mistakes... I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and filling a complaint. read more

I've brought my family's PCs to them numerous times over the years, and never had a bad experience. Basically, anything you would think to call geek squad for, but then don't, due to their cost, call these guys instead. Their service is fast, even during the holidays, and they always fix the problem. I've brought in PCs that simply went blank, PCs that started acting up due to a virus or malware, and a PC that died after a power outage.They've replaced parts, and installed hardware for me, and can often save stuff for you, for a fair price, if you need them to, before replacing a hard drive. They're not cheap, BUT, they're more reasonable than anywhere else, plus you get fast, friendly, knowledgable service, and they stick to their estimated price range. read more

To all who may enter, There owner Michelle Armstrong is not a hands on Owner. Her employees are very rude in a snobbish way. They'll tell you what the deal is , and if you don't like it, to bad !.They have been known to blow off there customers, and say sue us. There attitude stinks. Solving problems with a customer is not there priority. There cockroaches .They don't care about you the customers or the owner. Now as far as there work is concern is lousy at best. Took my computer in and they said the Mother board was dead. Mind you I bought this computer from them 9 months prior.. Took the same computer to Best Buy and a store in Federalway, and there was nothing wrong with the mother board. They(the computer shack) were going to charge me over 400.oo plus tax for a re manufactured mother board. when all it needed was a new power cord( the other cord was beginning to break) . When I confronted them with this they sold me a power cord for 76.00 (the wrong one).Again this a computer that they have worked on before and was bought from there store. Then when I got the right one from another store, they would not refund my money. What a Joke. Buyer beware !!! Stay away, Or get ready to go to hell. read more

The only reason this place is receiving even one star is because there is no way to submit a review with zero. I brought a PC tower in to them so they can remove video files and transfer them to an external hard drive that was formatted in FAT32 prior to them touching it. I paid around $80.00 for them to complete the task and now the external hard drive that I brought in to them is reformatted and will not work on my current computer (MAC) I called them to see if they could FIX the problem they caused and tried to charge me a SHOP MINIMUM FEE of $80.00 or so. Unacceptable business practice. I then called and spoke to the OWNER of the business and she transferred me to a tech named CHRIS. This guy is completely unprofessional and it's honestly beyond any normal rational thought why he is still employed due to the way he handles and treats customers. He treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about and basically denied that they messed up my hard drive. His attitude was completely condescending and he could care less about what trouble the have caused me. I will now be losing money from a client because I can't retrieve anything from my hard drive. I now have to go pay another shop to fix what the COMPUTER SHACK has messed up. Its not about the money. Its about the principle of customer service and owning up to there mistakes. This company has very poor customer service. They do not let their customers know what they are doing to their computers once they have left their computer with their business. I dropped my computer off over a month ago because I could not get it to turn on, they told me that they would have to look at it to diagnose it and that process would take a week, and that they would call me with the problems that they found to let me know what my options were for fixing my laptop. A week went by I received no phone call, Another week went by. (so now into the second week), still no phone call. Then a third week went by I finally got ahold of them by driving to the business and asking what was the problem in person with my computer the son of the owner said that they still had not looked at my laptop yet. I said ok about how much longer???. He stated " he didn't know and that they would call me within a few days to let me know" they finally called me and said that it was my DC Drive that was broken and that a new one needed to be ordered and that if I wanted them to order it, it would be another $300 and that once they had the DC drive that it would only take a week after that to install it and have my laptop up and running again. I said ok lets do that, Because just like anyone else i need a laptop. Yet another week went by and I received nothing. I called them again they informed me that they ordered the DC drive from out of state and since the weather was bad from where they ordered it, that it was taking much longer than anticipated to fix it, But assured me that once they had received the DC drive that it would only take a day at most to fix it and then I would be able to come pick it up. Yet another week went by from when this conversation took place, and I received no phone call or update. I called again to see what the hold up still was. The owner answered the phone in a very rude manner, saying that my computer could not be fixed and that now after a month of having my computer and a hassle of them being lazy and not being forthcoming of everything they were doing during the process I now cannot have my computer fixed, But it gets worse after this whole ordeal they tell me that they cannot do anything further they tell me "I still owe them $40.00". I say $40.00 for what??? YOU DID NOTHING. they say because that is the diagnosis fee. That being said if I even want to pick up my computer and get a second opinion I have to pay them $40.00 for doing ABSOLUTLY NOTHING. BEWARE DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSNIESS YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF!!!!! I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place and this business should be shut down. read more
