I'm very disappointed in the work that I had done with hard@work computers. I told the Tech, Troy, that my computer had a hard drive failure and I needed to know if he could get it to start again or retrieve my information. He said no problem he could take a look at it for a $100. And then he would let me know what it needs to have done and we could go from there. At no time did he mention that he may not be able to retrieve my info off the hard drive. Well he was not able to retrieve anything. He said he does not have technology to do this. What the heck? If he would have told me that from the beginning, I would not have thrown $100 away. I feel like I got scammed! I'm a senior on a fixed SS income and cannot affort to just throw $100 away. Needless to say I'll not have work done again nor refer anyone to them. DO NOT USE HARD@WORK COMPUTERS THEY ARE DISHONEST!!! read more

My 5 yr old laptop was taking ages to boot up and icons were not accessible. I brought my laptop in for a diagnosis thinking I had some corrupt files and it could be fixed. Owner having the same response time decided to not access the hard drive since opening up the laptop would potentially lead to liability and thought that the hard drive was toast. Suggested that he would need to replace the operating system & hard drive (approx $300), so essentially a new laptop. Given the diagnosis, I went and purchased a new laptop. A few days later I took the old laptop to be recycled and to destroy the hard drive. The recycling company asked if I needed anything off the drive, so we connected it to another computer and low & behold, there were all my files! They were kind enough to copy & send me ALL my files from the old drive which were all intact! A true lifesaver. A BIG thank you to them for salvaging and asking all the right questions! Nothing short of a full refund ($66) from Hard At Work Computers in Puyallup would make me return to them for any reason. read more

A virus destroyed my laptop so instead of making it into a boat anchor I set out on a mission to find someone who would raise it from the dead. (My technologically challenged wife could use a basic machine for the sole purpose of checking Facebook). The people here are friendly however, DO NOT bring your computer here if you are having trouble with Microsoft Office. I brought in my laptop in because I was having trouble saving new documents. While trying to fix it they deleted the licence I had been using and were unable to access it when I went back. The upshot was I went in with a somewhat functioning office and left with none! I contacted Microsoft but they told me I was out of luck, I would have to buy it all over again. :( I could have spent the same amount and simply bought an updated version of office.
