Great experience working with John! Highly recommend Computer Nerds! Very professional, excellent service. On the same day I called about my broken TV, he made a house call to my apartment to determine the problem. It was so convenient and easy: for $40, he examined my 4-year-old flatscreen television (32", 1080p, LED) and diagnosed the issue as a malfunctioning power board. After researching the prices of replacement power boards, John gave me a quote for parts and labor... for me, it made more financial sense to spend the money on a new TV. John offered to remove my broken television, which he could use for parts and give a donations receipt for tax purposes. This was perfect for me--I had no idea what to do with a broken TV and didn't want to pay for someone else to come get it. Later that night, I realized that I had a 4 year warranty on my TV!! In order to file a claim, I needed the serial number from the sticker on the back of the television--so I texted John, requesting a picture of the sticker. The same day he sent pictures of my old device's numbers, allowing me to file my claim. Now, with John's help, I'm getting a replacement TV!!! I asked John last week for a quote to fix my Chromebook and explained that I'm an online student so it's important that I have a working computer asap. He said that he could sell me a new computer for a lower price than what it would cost to fix mine ($100 for a laptop that was already set up and equipped with everything i needed, what a deal!). He came the same day and dropped the computer off to me. The screen unfortunately stopped working this week and I called him for help. He told me he would come and pick it up, and either fix it or give me a new one. So he came and picked up the computer and told me on the spot that there was a crack on the screen. He's definitely good at what he does because I couldn't even spot the crack. He came by the next day with an even better computer and didn't charge me the extra. This is the best customer service I've ever received from someone. He was so quick to reply to my initial email requesting quote, and he never missed a phone call after that. John and Jermaine are great!!! They were super efficient, extremely professional and dependable in a bind. The screen on my Macbook Air malfunctioned after bumping in a a door. After calling around area computer repair shops, and being quoted high prices with 5+ days turnaround time, I ordered a screen for next day delivery and called the computer nerds to install it. They had great (though limited) reviews, and sounded professional on the phone. The repair exceeded my expectations in every way. The guys arrived at the apartment within an hour, worked carefully and quickly, and put all wires, screws, etc back in place exactly as they had found it. The job took 30 minutes, and my Mac was back in action in time to finish my paper that night. On top of that, they were very professional and the price was reasonable. My logic board in my computer broke and I was devastated by the price that Apple wanted me to pay. I'm a college student and couldn't afford it. I called John and he offered to come out the next day to give me a quote. He was completely understanding of the fact that I was a student, and offered me a lower price from his original quote.
