We had a wonderful experience with this business! Brought my college son's laptop by as it had a broken key. Reza offered to look it over and he'd know more in an hour. He speculated that the entire keyboard might need to be replaced but couldn't be sure until he opened it for further inspection. We left the laptop, ran some errands, and 45 minutes later got a text that the laptop was ready. When we returned the key was fixed (was able to re-attach the broken key) and we weren't charged for the fix! First class and professional all the way. This small business gem is a bit hard to find (in a multi-story professional building) but we'll worth it and so nice to do business with a place like this vs. a big box repair establishment. Note: these guys moved to 7 corners! I found these guys a couple years ago when my laptop died. They were honest and prices were reasonable. When my laptop died again, I called these guys up. They moved to seven corners. While I hate to drive, going here was a no brainer. I had a couple bad experiences fixing a phone in arlington, and it was worth getting in my car to get my computer fixed with no problems or repeat visits. They cleaned up computer and replaced the battery for $150. I have recommended this place to my friends, and won't hesitate to go back the next time my electronics fail. read more

I requested I diagnostic for my laptop, and when I called to check, they replaced the hard drive for $250 without letting me know. I complained and they lowered it to $150 for what must have been no longer than the time it takes to open up the laptop, and switch hardware. So I paid them. Less than a month later, my computer was dying again, which tells me they DID NOT do a proper diagnostic, and wanted to make a quick buck. The owner, Reza, was very rude and did not care that it was very difficult for me go to his store, and he told me he didn't care because it was not his problem. Then he offered to replace the motherboard, which was more than the value of the laptop. A BBB claim has been filed to address this, but I would avoid these crooks. read more

I posted a prior review on google regarding a bad experience I had with this business. The merchant responded but the response included two factual errors: (1) The person I spoke to on the phone said nothing about a charge for an estimate; he just told me the total price for the repair job based on the error code on the printer. The fact that the price for an estimate may be posted on the CTI wall (whatever that is) in the shop is therefore totally irrelevant. (2) I have no idea what the merchant is talking about when it references the repair of two laser jet printers each $60 minus $45. The merchant must be thinking of another customer. I was having network connection issues and an overall slow laptop. In a few hours the problem was diagnosed and fixed! The price was reasonable and the service was unbeatable. Full disclosure: I cancelled my appointment before work began. I had scheduled an appointment by email with a quote of $120 if I bring my printer in, $150 for a technician to do an on-site call, which included cleaning and labor, but any parts would be extra. I scheduled an on-site call. The morning of the appointment, I got a call from this firm saying the charge would be $165. I told them I'd been quoted $150 and he said there would be extra travel charges (wouldn't that have been part of the price difference for an on-site call?). I cancelled the appointment. They haven't even showed UP yet and they're already jacking up the charges? This makes me wonder what OTHER charges they would add on if I let them actually start servicing my printer. Brought my desktop pc in to swap hard drives and although it took longer than anticipated to complete they still went out of their way to get it done same day on the spot and everyone was very friendly. Brought in my laptop because the charger port was broken (the socket where the computer charger plugs into). They were very friendly and seemed helpful. The quote they gave me to replace the part was steep ($40 for what I can buy from the manufacture for $16), but after researching other comparable computer repair places in Arlington, it seems up-charging on parts is common practice so I went along with it. The gentleman at Computer Tech also assured me that they were getting the part from the manufacture which is why it cost so much. Turns out they used a cheap knock-off part which wasn't the correct voltage. After taking the laptop home and using it for about 6 hours the hard drive fried - making the laptop useless. Lost all data and had to purchase new laptop. TLDR: $80 charger repair fried laptop because knock-off part was used. read more

Terrible. DO NOT GO. I took my desktop in and the technician didn't have a clue what he was doing. They didn't have the connector to connect a monitor so I had to go home to get it. When I came back...my desktop was half torn apart and (being and Electrical Engineer) it was clear to me that he was way in over his head. I took my computer back on the spot. My Sony Vaio crashed and my printer kept jamming so I decided to take it to this place for repair, since Best Buy wants to suck my pockets dry for repairs. Gary at GSM (co-located at CTI) was fabulous when I brought in my Brother multi-function printer for repair. Even though, in the end, he told me I'd be better off buying a new printer because the repair would be so costly, he kept in touch by phone to keep me posted on what he was doing to try to fix the problem. And he even offered to advise me when I buy a new printer. A great guy who really knows printers and cares about his customers. They fixed my computer after the hardware crashed and they were able to restore my files. They got the job done and were great regarding customer service. The only thing that gives me heartburn about this place are the prices. The cost to repair my computer was 55% of my computers retail value. Not sure if I would have been better off just buying another computer. read more

About two months ago I went in to get my laptop battery replaced. The computer technician working there was able to order the battery the day I came in, and then swap it out the day it I came back with my laptop. At $75 for the service plus the price of the battery, I'm unsure how the price stacks up against other computer repair places (I chose this company because it was close to me and the first thing I saw on Google), but I can say that having my laptop serviced in just an hour was very convenient.
