I dreaded losing my laptop for a week or 2 with the Geek Squad, then paying a crazy fee to have them remove malware, which was what I needed done. So I called Patrick this morning at 11, and within the next 2 hours he had come to my house and completly made my computer new and working again. More than anything else, I didn't have to go anywhere, it didn't disrupt my busy day. With all the time I saved by not even having to leave the house, and he did this way faster than anywhere else I could have taken it for service, and he was way more affordable than the Geek Squad. Nevermind the fact that my house is insane with noise, with 2 loud children and dogs. My son is also potty training now, and passed me a potty filled with pee while I was talking with Patrick about my computer woes, I looked down in horror and apologized for talking for several minutes with a pan of pee in my hand (nas-T!) and he just chuckled and said he has a son too. Put your phone down -- stop looking for another tech. RUN . . . don't walk . . . to Techs in Cars! I have a Dell Latitude E5440 and was convinced it had a fried mother board. The machine was already boxed it up and ready for the dump when Patrick came and saved the day. I explained the issue and symptoms over the phone and he thought he could work some magic to make a repair. I didn't want to buy a new laptop, so we negotiated a price and within two hours he drove to my office to pick up the device. 24 hours later . . . the machine ran perfectly -- Patrick even installed additional memory I requested -- all within our negotiated price. It's clear this gentleman knows his stuff. After he delivered the Latitude he spent an additional 20 minutes explaining to me the nuances of the different Dell models. I'm someone who tends to hold onto my computers a little longer than the tech industry would like. Why buy a new one when the one I have is perfectly fine? When a friend recommended Patrick, the price was too reasonable not to try him out. He arrived on time and got right down to business. I had spent 6 hours trying to get my Dell connected to our new wireless router. Telephone "Tech support" is a joke- ("yes, the computer is turned on...") If computers had doctors, Patrick would be a surgeon: about 15 minutes after his arrival, he unplugs the Ethernet cable and he's walking around my town home, laptop in hand, searching the Internet! He spent another 30 mins, and my beater Dell is now running like an "out of the box" computer. Totally clean. Fast. I had one other desktop computer in my closet that hadn't booted up in years. Only reason I held onto it is because my kids pictures were on the hard drive. Half hour later and he hands me a thumb drive with the "extracted data"! Almost every picture was preserved.
