Computer Warriors is a great Wilmington area PC repair shop!!! The other day my Dell PC stopped. I took it to Best Buy (The Geek Squad) for repair. They diagnosed a bad motherboard. Interestingly, Best Buy told me they could not replace the board because of a contractual agreement they have with Dell specifying they will not replace motherboards for customers who purchase their PCs from Dell. I subsequently took my Dell PC to a local Wilmington area repair shop, Computer Warriors (CW). CW said they could replace the motherboard and quoted a price. However, on their tech guy's suggestion (Cameron), I first contacted Dell to inquire about their repair cost even though my PC is recently out of warranty. The Dell out of warranty cost was approximately half the cost of that quoted by CW. If not for the suggestion of Cameron from Computer Warriors, I would have easily spent nearly twice as much on the repair. Cameron explained their inability to meet Dell's lower price stemmed from Dell being the manufacturer of my PC. But there's a bigger message here. I was ready to tell Computer Warriors to complete the repair until they sent my business away in the hope I'd ultimately have to spend less. HOW OFTEN TO YOU FIND THIS LEVEL OF INTEGRITY!?!? I commend to you the Computer Warriors in Wilmington! I've had them complete other repairs for me in the past and they are great. This time they sent me someplace else to save me money, thereby sacrificing profit they would have otherwise had from my repair. I like dealing with people who place my needs first. I found the Computer Warriors by chance, I didn't expect much when I did a google search for tech support in Wilmington, NC but I saw their website and crossed my fingers and gave them a call. We are a small company that conducts all of our business via the internet and have had a very difficult time finding a trustworthy IT Support company that delivers what they promise. We were having issues that had our business at a complete standstill and Brian (the owner) came to our office the same day for an interview and we hired him on the spot. What was just to be a 10 minute interview turned into a two hour troubleshooting session. He recognized our needs immediately and got us back to work and did not seem put off by the fact that he was here much longer than he planned to be. He also never stopped to question us about paying him; I brought up the fact that he would most definitely be invoicing us for his work. He offered us several new options to alleviate the issues we had been having and we are now running much more efficiently than we were. I feel confident in saying that Brian and his team are extremely knowledgeable and, most importantly to us, they are reliable and conduct themselves professionally. We have since had them to the office a couple of times to set up new equipment and they are consistent in the quality of service they provide. I have nothing but good things to say about these guys. My 4 year old daughter broke the screen on my iPhone 6. I called several places in Wilmington before calling CW. The cost was almost as much as the phone at one place and they couldn't do the repair for a week. Another place was a little cheaper but it would be 2 weeks before they could get to it. One company said it was too difficult a task to replace phone screens. Another company was extremely rude and acted like I was a buffoon for not knowing the technical complexity of replacing a phone screen. They also couldn't do it until the end of the following week. Then I called Computer Warriors and spoke with Brian. Great guy! It was approximately 3 o'clock on a Friday afternoon and he told me to bring it in. He had my phone repaired by 5 o'clock and charged half the price of any other computer repair company I called that day. I highly recommend Computer Warriors to anyone out there with "technical difficulties". The customer service is outstanding. They stand behind their work. VERY DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING - THE OLD BAIT & SWITCH TACTIC Great sale advertised via email on Dell laptops on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving from 9 am to 11 am for $299. Before 9 am I was 3rd in line and was told I got the last one available. However, I was then told the unit was located at the Leland store. I paid for it as advertised. I was then told that they would have it at the Eastwood store on Saturday ready for me to pick up. Today, on Saturday, I drove back to the Eastwood store to pick up what I thought was going to be a new laptop. I was then handed a Dell laptop with no box or paperwork. I then asked if this was a refurbished device. The answer was yes. I will post a copy of the ad which nowhere states that these units were used, refurbished laptops. After expressing disappointment, I did receive a refund. If I had not asked the question I would never have known until I got home that they were simply selling refurbished laptops at this price. It was never mentioned to me on the email ad, nor at the time of sale this past Wednesday morning that these laptops were not new. This is a very poor way to do business. I have lost all respect for this business entity. read more

The first time I used them I had my NC inspection machine go down. I found popped capacitors on the motherboard. I carried the box in Saturday morning explained it was business equipment and needed it asap. They said they could make the repair, so i left it. I figured a week maybe. They had it fixed the same day FOR LESS THAN THE QUOTE!! So I thought wow I'll use them again. Well several months later the guys broke the blue tooth antenna on our scanner. Again I carried it in Saturday morning and left it. He told me he probably did not have the part but he would try. Well it was not repairable. BUT HE DID NOT QUIT THERE, HE TOOK THE EFFORT AND TIME TO FIND A USED ANTENNA AND REPAIRED IT THE SAME DAY FOR LESS THAN THE QUOTE!! After having taken my family's phones to a few places around Wilmington, I decided to try Computer Warriors - and thank goodness I did. This is by far the best iphone repair facility I've seen. Not only was the phone repaired quickly (while I watched the process on CCTV) but I found out why we had experienced so many issues with previous repairs. The answer is junk screen replacements. The screen that I had received at another repair shop (no names, but it's about a block away) was absolute *&$&. It had 2 or 3 reburb stamps on it and parts that were supposed to be securely adhered peeled apart with no effort. No wonder it came apart. The screens Computer Warriors use are AAA quality and it shows. Side by side there was a huge difference in quality. I'm really upset that I wasted so much money on a series of crappy, low-budget screen repairs that were billed as "OEM." On the bright side, I'm thrilled to have found a shop that prides itself on doing the job right with quality parts. I'll never go anywhere else again. Highly recommend!!! read more

I have TWO computers that had been giving me a TERRIBLE TIME! Hacking, lost information, too slow to get going, etc. You name it, my computers HAD IT! My computers are running beautifully...Lost information (AND PICTURES!) was located and saved.....We were discussing the best way to make my computers totally secure. So glad Wilmington Computer Warriors is about 10 minutes away! I have used them before, with pleasure, but this time my dinosaur, 10-year old MAC filled the screen with computer code that would not go away. By pressing random buttons, I got it to leave temporarily, but then the screen display was funky and inoperable. As you can see, this is a non-techy talking. So I took it in with trepidation since I am a Secretary of a Board of Directors with a number of documents to email the next day. As usual, the Warriors fixed it the next day. Dave, the technician, diagnosed a virus, warning me that the machine will be more and more susceptible to viruses as it ages. :( Bryan introduced me to the Mac Book and docking station with an explanation that even I could understand. I have a group of nefarious Neighbors that were piggybacking on wifi for an unknown period of time. I was traveling a lot for work, months at a time. I was also very naive to the potential for neighbors to hack my network. Once I couldn't watch movies on AT&T fiber I started changing things. Retaliation from said group began shortly after. I filed multiple police reports, to no avail. They hacked my wifi cameras leaving me with no proof of damages to my plants sprayed with round up. I tried new modems and passwords with advanced settings, to no avail. Computer Warriors set up my network as well as monitor traffic. It will take time to feel more comfortable with sensitive information transmitted on my network, but I'm very greatful that they exist! They are very professional and responsive. The best customer service experience in my life! I went in because my laptop quit working. Chris was very helpful and explained what happened to my laptop and gave me multiple options on what to do next. also, Chris happily took my laptop apart to try some tips I saw on YouTube. They definitely went the extra mile to try and fix my laptop. Unfortunately, my laptop couldn't be fixed but they did give me advice on what type of laptop I would want to buy. I felt absolutely no pressure to buy any products from them but I did end up getting a laptop from them that they recommended. They even transferred all my data from my old laptop to my new one, even after Best Buy said it couldn't be done! AND they stayed after hours to help me. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. First class professionals--knowledgeable, prompt, courteous, and fast workers. After a move, I called them to untangle my entire technical life--about which I know nothing and prefer to know nothing. Presented with a box of tangled wires and devices, our technician Rich quickly unraveled lap tops, wireless, computer phones, readers, tvs , dvrs and got our household up and running in exactly one hour. This is a feat that may not seem so impressive to younger people, but as seniors, my husband and I looked on marveling. OMG this place is great! My son just went there due to an issue with his Apple ID. He was frustrated, as most young people are when there is a problem with their phones. But the representative Anthony was extremely patient with him through the entire process. My son called me, as he is away from home, and Anthony took the time to explain what the problem was and the options he had to rectify it. He is now in the process of getting things squared away. I know there are not many people who would have taken that much time and gone that extra mile to help their customers get what they needed. This speaks VOLUMES to the culture of this place. I needed some new hardware for my desktop and didn't want to wait for it to ship from Newegg or Amazon, so I reluctantly headed to Best Buy to see if they carried what I needed. I waited about 40 minutes for one of their employees to be free so I could ask them if they had what I was looking. Their response was exactly what I was dreading. "I don't even know what that is." I waited another 20 minutes to be told by another employee that they didn't even stock what I needed. Defeated, I looked online for somewhere else and found Computer Warriors. An employee helped me find what I was looking for and finished the transaction in less than 5 minutes. I definitely will return if I'm looking for some hardware for my PC in the future. read more

Today was my third time having to go to computer warriors in the last month since school has started because my two year old computer has been having a lot of problems. I went to best buy first when my computer would not power on and it was going to cost me over $100 and a couple of weeks at the least to get it fixed. I instead went to computer warriors and they only charged me $50 to entirely disassemble and reassemble the computer to fix it, and it was done in LESS then 24 hours. When I got home, the computer would not connect to wifi so I called them and they told me to bring it back. They fixed it again in under 2 hours and charged me nothing! Have to say that very seldom do you have a problem with a Mac but when you do, where do you go?? The answer is Computer Warriors in Jacksonville NC!! Trevor Strobel is the Mac Tech. Took my Macbook Pro in as I thought I needed a new battery. I told him to look it over and do whatever was needed. Thought probably I wouldn't see it for a couple weeks. in 4 days I had a call from Trevor. He said he had run all test and nothing needed to be done. The battery should last at least another year I had paid a diagnosis and expected to pay additional fees and was pleasantly surprised that there was no further charges. Tom came out to my practice to help straighten out some IT issues with our officemate system. We have hired 3 different companies before trying computer warriors and all I can say is CALL THEM! Tom will HELP you and EDUCATE you too. We had reached a point where he could not help me and was honest and stated, we will figure this out I am not leaving you hanging. My daughter had shattered the screen on her iPhone 7. We took it to Computer Warriors in Wilmington, NC and were greeted with knowledgeable staff who promised a one hour turnaround. After two hours, my daughter and I returned to discover that the replacement screen resulted in the malfunction of the home button. Before we had even returned to the store, Computer Warriors had already ordered a brand new exact duplicate phone for my daughter that was scheduled to arrive in a few days. They did a fantastic job. My Iphone 6 had a broken screen. They fixed it in less then 2 hours with a very competitive price. looks like new!! I Had to buy a case (I have an 18 month old). The salesman educated me on the different options and didn't hard sell or push me on the more expensive option. I ended up buying the more expensive case because if fit my lifestyle (again 18 month old). I have recommended computer warriors to my family and friends.
