I was given a window of 11:30-3:30 for the installation, so I went to work at 8 and planned to be home during the time frame they gave me. At 10:19 am, I received a call from the Geek Squad tech saying he was 4 minutes away from my house. I told him that I was at work and this was not within the time frame I was given. He said he could only wait 15 minutes and if I was not at my house then the installation would need to be rescheduled. I raced out of work and sped home. I passed the Geek Squad van as I was entering my neighborhood and he was leaving. I called and texted him that I was home but he cancelled my appointment. I lost time at work and did not receive the expensive installation I paid for. I immediately requested a refund for the installation and do not intend to shop at Best Buy again in the future. I have already found a private individual to install my TV for a fraction of the cost I was prepared to pay Best Buy.

They lied to me directly and the "MOD", "Fives"? did not care about losing a customer, and more importantly customer First mentality. Details: Drove 50 miles (one way) for a set appointment for work on my iPhone needing a new battery. On arrival I was told the battery could be replaced within 1.5 hours, and they would get "it started right away" (I have the timestamped contract). I came back 2 hours later only to find it had not even been started yet. To make matters worse the MOD, Fives, said "I'm sorry and nothing can be done" only a reversal of the already charged replacement". I suggested a discount on the service due to the lie they told me and more importantly my loss of an afternoon of my time. I have also requested they remove my PII from all databases, datapoints. I recommend a total revamp of their thoughts on customer service. In the meantime, I hope this helps many steer clear of an unnecessary business with Best Buy.

I live almost an hour north of Gainesville, so I got it on hold and drove down there and was there in 45 minutes. I was told that they actually didn't have it. Their computer said that the phone would be delivered to that store in 7 days. I said "skip it". I was treated with lack of respect there last year too, when getting a dash cam. Best Buy has not been anywhere near the same that it used to be before the virus.

I was about to make a TERRIBLE mistake and have to take two days of PTO by taking my laptop into Cleveland to "IT Computer and Phone Repair" as they could not get to my computer until the next day. Something didn't sit right with me with their reviews as well. They seemed to be done by the owner, and the only honest ones were not good. I decided to do one more quick search on Yelp and that's when I found Paul. While I was on the phone explaining the issue, he asked me to text him my name and address; which at first I found odd, until he told me he was on the way to my house right then to get me back up and running! That's right, within one hour of calling Paul he showed up at my door with his tools to get my computer all tuned up and working again. He also knows his stuff too; this is clearly his career as I bounced a few questions off of him that he was able to explain with such depth and aptitude that it was clear to me he has passion and knowledge for tech - skills one does not simply just get by watching YouTube videos. The professionalism Paul exuded made me feel comfortable with him immediately in my home. He was able to diagnose the issue and fix it within 30 minutes, not days like the other guys. On top of that, he went ahead and cleaned up my laptop for me as I process a lot of data; and he did it all for an amazing value. In fact, I was in shock with how affordable Paul was, especially considering he drove to me the day of. Now, my computer is running better than ever, I didn't have to miss work and take PTO, and I didn't make the mistake of being honeypotted into a shop that would have had my computer for days. They were able to quickly determine what would need to be fixed and what was still in working order. The price was competitive and they were able to get started immediately. We finished our shopping for the day and swung back by to pick up the repaired IPad. The shop is VERY VERY new, and they are still working to get the shop products on the shelves. If you have a device that needs some work, I'd recommend giving these guys a shot.

Plus, they could have not done on the same day. They would have to order the parts in order to replace my screen. I also called several other chain screen repair shops. They wanted me to come in for a consultation before they would fix my phone. I was getting very frustrated. On Friday thinking I was just going to need to buy new phone with all the prices being between 160 and $200 for a screen repair. Friday, September 20 at 7 PM I decided to look 1 more time. I found this store (I fix and repair) inside the Cornelia Walmart. The store was open until 830. By the time I got there it was 8:05. I brought my phone in and showed the guy the damage. He was pleasant and told me he could get my phone repaired and out the door in about 20 minutes. He was a super nice person. This is a family business. And within 25 minutes he had me fixed with a new screen and screen protector and out the door for under $100. I believe if you would bring a phone to most places, and they only had 1/2-hour before they closed. That they would turn away business. Not this guy, he was like. You give me 20 minutes and I will get you taken care of. It is a small shop inside the Cornelia Walmart. They have accessories and phones to purchase inside their store as well.
