Summer of 2022, the keyboard on my laptop broke, and I paid Computerland to fix it. When I got my laptop back, everything seemed to be fine. Two years later, the screen of the laptop detached from the motherboard. Upon closer examination, the bottom of my laptop was missing 5 out of its 8 screws. Amazing experience getting my Dell laptop repaired by Hadi. He was able to sort out an issue I've been dealing with for months with my computer not charging, which I had struggled to fix myself by replacing the battery and DC input jack and buying 2 new chargers. It turned out to have been an issue with the power regulator, and he was kind enough to replace the broken part with one salvaged from an old motherboard which saved me both money and time. An absolute angel!!!! I cannot thank Hadi enough for saving years of my hard work. I had purchased this mini USB on Amazon. Over time I noticed when I'd remove it, it was hot to the touch. It held all my self-published work, 600 page books I was planning on publishing at some point. But I also had a copy of the folders on my laptop. Then one day my laptop started acting up and Apple had to wipe it. No big deal I thought I have everything backed up on my USB. WRONG! As soon as I put it into my laptop to pull some folders off it...nothing. It wouldn't read. Frantic I emailed several data companies for quotes. I got quoted $150 to $3,555. My budget was $250, that's unfortunately all I could spare as a recent grad. So I started with the cheapest option, and he could do nothing to save my work. Told me he suspected it was a physical issue. I was hysterical. Another company quoted me $300 so I sent it to them only for them to tell me it would actually be $870 and they had to re-sodder the reader (or something) to try to get the device to read again. I told them I couldn't afford it and begged them to reconsider a lower amount because it was my life's work, they said no they had to make money since they're a business. So they sent it back with a warning that the more people played with it the worse it would be to recover anything. Thats when I messaged Hadi, he suggested either they could try to save it or I could try Data Savers which he highly recommended as a very skilled company and gave me a coupon to use them. So I sent it to them only to have them tell me it was a $3,555 dollar job. Nope. Send it back I said. When I told Hadi what they said he said the job likely was because of hardware and that costs more to fix. I told him my budget was so tight and the max I could push myself was $350. He graciously accepted and saved the day! I worked 2 years on one book thats 686 pages. It's my baby and to have thought it was all gone was devastating. When I went to pick up my files turns out the extra USB's I had weren't enough to put all the saved files on so he gave me one of his personal USB's to use to take my data home. I am sending it back this week as I write this. I cannot thank him enough for corresponding with me through all of it, recommending other companies he thought were more skilled to handle the job and patiently and graciously working with me and within my budget when others wouldn't. I've now saved my work on multiple devices etc, because you know, lessons learned. But if you somehow end up in the same unfortunate boat I did, Hadi is your guy! read more

I took my PC here because I couldn't figure out why it was stuck at the BIOS splash screen. ComputerLand's Justin ran diagnostics and identified that my SSD was cooked. Oof oww ouchies, almost precisely one year after its manufacturer warranty expired. Oh well. I know how to install an SSD myself, so I told Justin I don't need them to do that and asked how much I owed them. The answer: ZERO! Diagnosis is free! Whaaat. My macbook pro got glitchy after being left outside one night... The "Genius Bar" said I would need a new motherboard for over $700 and that it wasn't worth fixing. Another repair place said it would be even more. Computerland took the time to investigate; they only charged me $150 and got it working again. I have to manually put it to sleep instead of just closing the lid, but I was happy that Computerland came up with a practical work-around that didn't cost a fortune, and didn't try to sell me a more expensive solution. My LG 5K monitor unfortunately had the usb-c power/monitor port malfunction (it's a common issue with these very expensive monitors). I took it to Computerland and hoped for a repair that wouldn't break the bank. Had a 7 year old Macbook that's battery couldn't hold a charge anymore. Everything from start to finish was excellent! Reception was very friendly. They were helping another customer but were able to get me started on filing out a request form. Shortly afterwards, they were able to submit the request, take my Macbook. They estimated it would be done on Wednesday (I went in on a Saturday) since they needed to order the specific battery, do labor and test it. On Tuesday, I was asked to pick it up. Is this how nice people should be treated? My hard drive broke during finals last year(December 2023), and I urgently needed to recover my data. I found this store, the closest one to me, and initially, they quoted me $200. I paid a $50 deposit, and they promised it would be done within two weeks. However, two weeks later, they said they needed more time. By then, my finals were over, so I let them take their time with the recovery. One year passed, and every time I visited, they told me it would take another two weeks and promised to call me, but I never received a call from them. After graduating, I moved to South Bay for work and wanted to end this endless waiting, regardless of whether the recovery was successful. A month ago, I went to the store, and they told me I could pick up my hard drive before Christmas. Last week, I called to ask if my friend could pick it up so I wouldn't worry about not getting it because of the holiday. They said they would check with the manager and promised to call back in one to two days, but I never received a call. Today, the day after Christmas, I called in the morning, and they said I could pick it up, so I went to the store in the afternoon. I waited 15 minutes, and then they told me I had to pay $850. I couldn't believe it. I asked again, and they confirmed the price was $850, while my receipt originally stated $150. They claimed the cost had risen because it took them a year to recover the data. I told them no one had mentioned any price changes during my numerous visits, and we had no written agreement, just the original receipt. They tried to print a new receipt for me to sign, but luckily, I kept the original receipt. They even said their original receipt was lost--very tricky. While dealing with this, my friend, who had been waiting outside, came in. He was aware of most of the situation and was furious. He used to teach business ethics at university, and he was appalled by their behavior. He insisted on speaking to their manager, but they not allowed us to talk to him. A fixed price should remain fixed, and it's unacceptable to increase the price when the customer arrives to pick up their items, significantly when the service was delayed for a year and still not completed. In the end, I paid what I owed and left feeling disappointed. I've lived here for five years, and most of my family and friends will continue to live in this area. It's sad to be treated this way, especially when they assume that, as an international student, I'll be leaving forever. read more

I was sold a broken and defective phone screen. The day I purchased the screen it broke and was partially unusable - I called to let them know immediately since it went down in less than 2 hours. I was told to come back "at any time". I told the owner it would be a few weeks till I returned because I travel for work. He said that was fine. I was lied too, I just came back after a few weeks and was denied a refund and denied a replacement of my phone screen. I'm extremely disappointed by the service and extreme lack of value I received. I was told "the OLED aftermarket screen will work on your phone seamlessly" it immediately disabled all haptic functions and for multiple weeks while I traveled I had to use a combination of my phone and Ipad to do basic functions till I returned. I have filed a claim with my credit card and bank to get my money back and have provided them with all documentation and proof. Since he won't give me my money back - The bank will get it for me. Complaint also filed with the Better Business Bureau. Avoid this business at all costs, complete scammers that don't care for you. Just want your money and to send you on your way. Slippery, untruthful, and disreputable. Spend your money anywhere else but here. If you can do the right thing, I'll take this review down. Thanks for stealing from me and wasting my time. read more
