I ended up leaving with a new phone and a new watch--and it worked out perfectly because my daughter is now happily using my old watch! A few weeks later, when my bill arrived, it was quite a bit higher than I expected. I'll admit, I was worried that some of the promotions I had been promised hadn't been applied correctly. I called Ryan, and just as he said he would, he walked me through the bill line by line, explained everything clearly, and even adjusted the promotion to make sure the pricing matched what he had originally quoted. In a time when upselling and empty promises can make customers skeptical, Ryan did exactly what he said he would do. That level of honesty, follow-through, and customer service is rare and truly appreciated. I've been back to this Verizon location twice since returning to Verizon, and every experience has been positive. The entire team has been great, but Ryan definitely set a high bar. After a few visits to Geek Squad, I realized these kids are for the most part, impatient and unwilling to walk in this dinosaur's path and help me. I then sought out another local technician who paid me a house visit. Although this was convenient, he, the so-called expert, left me more confused! That is when I contacted Robert of Global Computer Consultants. I am not one to take the time to leave reviews, but I feel compelled to do so after working with Robert. He was fabulous. Patient, understanding, with an ability to explain tasks in lay terms. He snarkily replied " I doubt you ever go anywhere where you won't have a signal". I don't think this guy has ever travelled out west or down a hiking trail in a remote off grid area.
