Time for update
Yesenia B.

I waited over two hours for a 30 min ultrasound. I was told the wait was due to them waiting on images from another facility. Images that I told the receptionist I had brought with me. I found the place to be dirty and dingy. The couches in the waiting area had stains in them and the carpet was filthy. The bathrooms were outside the office around the back corridor, which did not made me feel very safe. After my long wait,I was quoted a price twice the amount of what my insurance said, I was then handed over to a student who was practicing for her AA while the nurse watched her. I never saw the doctor but was billed for the one that saw my images. I think my disdain with this office is the state of their wait area and the impersonal staff.

Long wait. Appointment is at 10:15, they have you show up 30 minutes prior to the appointment and then make you wait for another hour apparently. Just in case you have absolutely nothing better to do. There's no vending machine in the building. Water dispenser which is appreciated but has Styrofoam cups not recyclable paper cups. They have you sign the same forms over and over EVERY visit (To make it super clear that in case your insurance doesn't pay, you are liable). I'm not sure about other medical offices but I sent my payment 2 weeks ago and during that time I received 3 invoices from them. They were courteous at least. It turned out that they don't have an order form from my doctor's office. They called my doctor's office twice but failed to notify me of this. I CALLED this office this morning to verify that they have the correct order and whoever I talked to said they did.

3-D imaging is now available!

My first impression was that it's a huge space with lots of rooms. So incredibly clean. The nurse took my stats and showed me to a very comfortable room that had two chairs and a table. I liked that I could sit in the chair while waiting for the doctor. The doctor came in, was very friendly and professional, and wasted no time getting to work. They were able to do a strep and flu test and in no time had my results. When I left, they gave me Rx (I had strep), and a get well bag. When I got home and opened it, it had chicken noodle soup, a face mask, some tea, hand sanitizer, cough drops, and tissues. My visit was Saturday and they called me tonight (Monday) to check up on me and to see how I was feeling. All this, and they're "just an urgent care." Amazing. I've found a new place to go when I'm not feeling well.

My final visit was on 03/25/25, and from start to finish, Dr. Waldrop showed genuine care and attentiveness. He truly listened to me. Based on the honest details I shared about my symptoms, he promptly ordered the appropriate tests--an MRI and a memory test--and both results came back normal for my age. That gave me so much peace of mind! Whenever I called the office, they answered. If I had to leave a message for Lisa in the billing office , I received a call back. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and kind, which really made the whole process comforting. The only hiccup I had was with GPS--it took me to another location because I was navigating under a mild concussion. I would have been late, if I don't make it a habit to leave out early. But even then, once I arrived, I was met with understanding and care. Dr. Waldrop was focused, patient, and clearly committed to my well-being. Hands down, I would refer him in a heartbeat. Be aware if you or someone you know goes to them, especially the elderly as they are more likely the target for this scam.

So I get an appointment to see Dr. Yuan at Georgia Urology. I get there on time, but now I have to…read morefill out "just a few questions" on a tablet. Twenty-one minutes and quite literally more than one hundred answers later there is no indication of how much more there is to answer, so I hand back the tablet and tell them "I'm done with this." When the medical assistant calls me back she is already pissed off about something, and I'm thinking it's me. She cuffs me for blood pressure but it fails. I ask her if I've done anything to offend her, even though I had just then met her, and she blames it on frustration with administration. She calms down and says, "So you're here for a prostate issue?" I have no idea what she's talking about. "No, I'm here for Erectile Dysfunction. Why does it say 'Prostate'"? She has more frustration with administration. She shakes my hand and more formally introduces herself as a sort of reset. No problem. So then she starts asking the EXACT SAME QUESTIONS I already painstakingly answered on the tablet! "Then why did I take all that time answering all these questions on the tablet in the waiting room?" Excuses for systems that won't talk to each other. BUT WAIT -- THERE'S MORE! If you act before midnight tonight, you get a FREE BONUS PRIZE of one pissed-off Urologist who tries to run through questions about my Old Fella like I'm a roll-your-eyes annoyance and the bane of his existence! The very first thing he starts talking about is medications like Viagra, etc. I remind him of the spreadsheet I gave him of the 22 medications I take, which includes Nitroglycerine, Gabapentin, Amlodipine, etc. He didn't even review the list before he saw me! If he had, he would likely focus on the Gabapentin and possibly one or more of the other medications I take as the root cause, or at least a contributing factor, of my John Thomas acting more like Salvador Dalì. (This next part I need to be discreet for the sake of Yelp and Yelpers alike, and not because I'm embarrassed -- obviously) He started pressuring me to answer a question that only my wife could answer accurately, so I told him I needed to call her. HE CRITICIZED ME FOR NOT KNOWING THE ANSWER MYSELF! He finally relents to letting me make the call, but by that time I was ready to say "See You Next Tuesday" and leave. I told him I was not comfortable with the way I'd been treated since I got there, so he starts stacking my forms in a huff and says "That's fine" and leaves in a second, new and improved huff. Now let's see if he charges me a New Patient Visit (he said he wouldn't). I'm a handicapped senior citizen with lots of medical problems who is trying to get back to Normal, and I'm scared that I can't. I'm really scared, and I'm trying my best to get this problem solved. I should not have been mistreated like this. There was no excuse for any of this. I got a different Urologist reference so I'm going to make an appointment with them today.
