Zero Stars! Five thumbs down! Sooooo disappointed with the service I received from this clinic. Signed in when I got there but had to ask 30 minutes later how much longer would it take. Only to be told that we don't just sign in but had to talk to one of them from the front desk. Although no one really said anything when I signed in. Mind you, there were 4 people waiting and for the last 30 minutes, no one asked us what we were there for. We all just signed in and then we were told the same thing. And it's like you're already there then might as well wait but it was the worst decision ever. Should have walked out after 30 minutes. Waiting is always a complete waste of time, let alone unnecessary waiting is the worst. MA and doctor were fine but just the total waiting time and the whole process is the worst experience ever. As far as occupational health places go (and I go to a ton of them), this one ACTUALLY isn't horrible. I had a choice between Concentra and [somewhere else] and I decided to roll the dice, because nothing could be as bad as my last OH place. I had an appointment for a physical. I rolled up and signed in. Separate clipboards for physical therapy and appointments, so make sure you pick the right one. After I signed in (which was 15 min prior to my appointment), I waited about 25-30 min before I was seen. About 10 minutes of that was spent on paperwork so not bad at all. The staff were personable and the physician's assistant that examined me was quick, professional and got me in and out in two shakes. The waiting area gets a bit crowded, so your first few minutes will be filled with "excuse me"s and "pardon"s as you cut in and out towards the counter for paperwork, ID, etc. The only gripe about my experience was some idiot who has no idea what conversational volume is when speaking on the phone. read more

Don't come here. They don't see you if you have ANY cold symptoms or a persistent cough (doesn't mention that on their website or over the phone) and don't come by if you have a work place injury. They refused to see me because they didn't want to stay past 5pm, yet had no problem "squeezing in" a former employee for an exam. Nepotism at its finest. The African /American lady sitting at the front desk was extremely rude. After I waited an hour she told me I need to signed in again. So I told her I have to leave it's already 3:20 pm. Came in and waited awkwardly at the counter while Concentra employees were talking about work related problems such as billing and printers not working. Ended up waiting two hours only for them to tell me that I didn't have authorization. Now I understand that my employer failed to submit the authorization but does it really take two hours to verify? I sliced open my finger on a jobsite in San Diego Monday morning, and it required numerous stitches, because it was gushing blood. I was blessed to find such an incredible clinic here in San Diego, because I honestly don't know the area all that well, so I suppose I was taking a chance. Well, long story short, I'm glad I took the chance, because they took me back immediately, fed me some snacks, kept me hydrated, and had me on my way in no time at all! I've been to the emergency room before and or urgent cares in the past, and they've always left a bad taste in my mouth, they've also irritated the heck out of me at well! The very next day, I was back on site, hammering away at a remodel! They gave me plenty of supplies to make sure the bandages were changed daily, they also followed up with me the very next morning, they were affordable, which is usually never the case with most clinics and above all, they were friendly and extremely professional! I'd like to shout out a HUGE THANK YOU to the entire staff of Concentra Urgent Care for getting me back to work immediately, and Dr. Nancy, you went over and beyond, thank you for EVERYTHING! read more

I needed to get a drug screening for my pre-employment background check. After giving the front desk my information, one of the ladies at the front desk said my employer's payment for the drug screening was on hold and I would be charged $10. At first I think, "Okay I'll pay the $10 now and ask for reimbursement later". I give them my urine sample and go back to the front desk to make my payment. When I get to the front desk, someone else at the front desk says I actually owe nothing in charges. The workers go back and forth about whether I should pay the $10 or not. Before leaving, they tell me that I may be charged later for "authorization purposes". I suppose some of the workers there think it's okay to take money under the table read more

I had to get a bunch of testing for my company, ppd, mask fit, mmr, ua, etc. the first day I waited almost 2 hours before being seen. It had something to do with my company working with Concentra for the first time and not registering? More a fault with my company and not theirs. The cute lady at the desk with the curly hair tried her best to get me seen as soon as possible. The 2nd day I had to come back for a PPD reading. I know they have to be read after 48hr, which I didn't bother to keep track of, and for some reason they didn't look at my paperwork. PPD got read early which meant I had to come back the next day as well to get it read again before the 72hr mark or end up having to do the whole process all over again. Not a huge deal, just wish the LVN/RN? would've payed more attention to detail, especially in this profession. Overall, the people were friendly and the 2 main ladies at the front desk seem to be keeping the place running. read more

To start, if you have an appointment, still consider 45 minutes as a bare minimum wait before you're brought into a room. Thereafter, another half hour. And that's just for a recheck. The front desk has presented me with more attitude than an authentic desire to help. I've noted, that as a protocol, they tell everyone: "just ten minutes", despite the reason. But, it never will be ten minutes. If you're transferring from another Concentra, consider your first visit to take at minimum three hours. The doctors are helpful and courteous and deem the only star that Yelp allows as the minimum. Physical Therapy is typically always booked way ahead of time, thus, schedule all your appointments upfront. read more

For the office at 7862 El Cajon Blvd, La Mesa, CA 91942 This place is the and most unprofessional organization I have ever seen. Dr Leonard Constantini is a liar and can not be trusted especially when it comes to workers compensation claims. He in my opinion and experience is on the side to deny you your benefits. He is not at all thorough when it comes to his examination or consultation/interview. His mind is already set to say you are clear to go back to work based on no physical testing or therapy. He just decides, probably in advance, to do what is in the best interest of the company not the patient. BTW I watched to people at the front check in station try to convince a patient who had surgery from his work place injury that he was not or could not be sure his post abdominal surgery pain was from the abdominal surgery injury he suffered while on the job. This place is a joke! Every time I go here, it takes at least 3 hours to even see the doctor. They brought me back to the lobby 3 TIMES cause the rooms were full? How do you ask a patient to follow you back to a room, only for that room to be occupied by another patient, and then just tell me to go back to the lobby to wait? I'm sitting in the lobby right now waiting for a TB test. This review is just to acknowledge the front desk staff for being communicative and professional even when faced with disgruntled patients. My personal experience has been brief but positive here and I believe everyone's working as hard as they can to see people as soon as possible. There is a shortage of people in the world and I don't get why people get so upset waiting ! Especially for an urgent care or true workers comp visit, understand you are waiting for a lot more service than some people and you will see people get seen before you! That's because some of us aren't seeing a doctor. This is an urgent care and occupational health office in one and i wish I'd observed more patience from patients especially when staff is visibly busyyy. The location at Mission Valley is terrible. I've tried numerous times to reach them by phone and cannot get them to answer the phone. You dial 0 or hold and get hung up. This has happened to me numerous times. I've told them and their answer is that they have been busy. Finally, I had to drive 20 miles to talk to them. When I was there, they were not busy. So, I called and the Receptionist didn't answer the phone. The light lit up on the phone, but it didn't ring. She and her co-worker laughed at me. I tried again today and the same thing happened. Moises was the person that helped me out at the clinic yesterday he was extremely rude and barely spoke any English to me because I have a Hispanic sounding last name well I speak English when I asked him to repeat himself in English he rolled his eyes and just kept speaking in Spanish . Then as I was checking out from seeing the doctor he hands me the wrong patients chart and I could see all their private information then when I said this was not my chart he accused me of lying and saying I was the patient of the chart he handed me. Two hour wait, the lady said I if I left I'd lose my place in line. Also said I could not make an appointment but I heard other people coming in and checking in for an appointment. It was super hot in the waiting room and they were playing some sort of day time trash on the tv like Maury povich or something. Anyway I left and went to the urgent care on mission gorge near magnolia I think it was, much nicer, had air conditioning and I was in and out in 45 minutes. I work for a firm who uses Concentra for the on boarding of clinical staff, and this location has been by far my best experience. The Manager- Angela Blaze assisted me with processing 16 people in 2 days, and it could not have gone smoother. The front desk staff including Morgan were so incredibly friendly and helpful. The entire process was well organized and painless. My candidates (their patients) mentioned that the doctors and assistants were very professional, kind and knowledgeable. There was never more than a 15 minute wait, and everything throughout the process was communicated clearly. Overall I give this location a 10/10 and recommend anyone who needs any urgent care services :) read more

Rude and incompetent staff with a lazy doctor. We had an appointment booked and called twice to confirm the details were correct. Upon arrival, the staff claimed there was no appointment and the doctor was already packing. The staff was rude and lacked empathy by refusing to hear us out and providing reasonable accommodation. To the doctor on site: in the future if your staff makes a mistake like this stop packing and see the patient; as a medical professional your job isn't to be lazy especially considering impacts of situations like this can be mitigated by accommodating patients or replacing incompetent staff with better personnel. read more

I can't even describe how terrible of an experience for a patient this is, how could a place like this front with such terrible process that lacks respect for people's time. A little background. I've been an RN for 10 years. 3 of those years as a cardiac nurse mind you. Look up my license. It's active. ID number 802323. I've been to this urgent care twice within the last year for heart issues. Both times I was "treated" by Dr. Pohl. And both times I was met with unprofessionalism and poor bedside manner. I came in for heart issues and he said "I can't treat you. Those are symptoms of COVID. You need to come back with a negative test result for me to see you." I didn't have any of the typical symptoms of COVID (flu like symptoms cough loss of taste or smell). Mind you I felt my health problems were urgent so finding a testing site and getting tested for COVID and then coming back was moronic. This guy better have malpractice insurance because he could kill someone. I would not bring my family here. Just an fyi I went to the ED the same day and my test results came back negative for COVID. read more
