Absolutely the BEST CHOICE & Here's Why... First of all, This is a Real review! I say this because I sometimes skip past five star reviews, thinking they may be from the business itself, but I am a real patient. My name is H (Chris) Kirby (Not S.) I went to this urgent care center with a severe sinus infection with teeth hurting, headache, massive infected sinus mucus, etc. The experience I received was BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL !!! So much so, I felt compelled to write a review, which I rarely do. ALL of the staff were extremely professional and so nice that it made me wish I could make this my primary care center, & even asked them if that was possible!! My wait time was minimal, especially compared to every other urgent care clinic that I have been to. The Outside of this Location at: 15810 Midway Rd. Addison, Tx 75001 has a normal business look, however the Inside of the Location is Extremely Clean & Well Organized, with very comfortable, cushioned, waiting chairs, situated in front of a large flat screen TV and coffee station. The Nurse? Nicole, that took my vitals, and performed Covid, Flu, & Strep test swabs, and also later assisted me with getting the steroid shots, and patiently answering all of my many questions, etc., showed me Absolute Respect, Care, & Kindness, as did all of the front reception staff, and Real Medical Doctor!!! The REAL (MD) DOCTOR, & Center Director, that treated me, Dr. Darien R Kavasmaneck, was so Thorough with the exam & questions asked, that I was left speechless (which rarely happens, lol)! He asked me detailed questions, after first checking my medical history, and then thoroughly examined me. He then prescribed, a strong antibiotic which has a history of working very well for me (Amoxicillin & Clavulanate Potassium) along with steroid shots (of Prednisone and Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate) and Explained Every Aspect of what he was prescribing and why. I felt during this whole experience that I was the only patient in the center with absolute care and attention being given to me, throughout the entire process!!! I even had questions (of course) that my mind came up with afterwards, so he came back into the room and spent even more time with me!!! ***** I've read a few low star reviews (out of many more 5 star reviews) and almost didn't choose this location. I now Believe that they were possibly disgruntled people that most likely were more upset with employer requirements and chose the urgent care center to vent out against unfairly, instead of their place of employment, or were in bad moods and exaggerated the truth to "get" at someone. In the end, I can only speak for sure about my personal experience, as I have done, which in NO WAY resembles these few bad reviews, in any way! ***** I cannot say enough about how amazing this place is!!! Thanks to Everyone at this center, Especially the Dr. & Center Director, Darien, & Nurse, Nicole!! You all deserve a raise!!!!!!! P.S. I also wanted to state, that the paperwork that they gave me was Very Comprehensive as well, and has everything that was done, including weight, measurements, Cuff size, what my vitals were including Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Respiration, BMI, BSA, temperature, o2 Saturation, and test results (with dates & times / taken & given) Health Issues Discussed, Treatment Plans and Interventions Made, and what was prescribed, along with directions! Everything printed out in a well organized, Clear & Concise, format! Blocked offed with Titles & Corresponding info, in separate sections, easily readable in large print!! Unprofessional and slow as shit. Went in for a simple pre employment drug screening. Took well over an hour to be called back and several people who arrived after me was even called before me. I was on short legs to stand on as I let my strep throat progress too long. I was in unbelievably rough shape and as a new resident, uninsured in TX. Everyone from the from reception staff, to the intake nurses to Dr. Darien could not have done a better job of taking care of me. I went back for a check up a few days later which was exactly the tweaks that we needed to get me through this. This place is HORRIBLE! OMGOSH. I arrived at 10:33a for a simple drug screen. I was told it would be 15-20 minutes...ok no big deal. They call an hour later to ask a the form for the drug screen. Mind you I am going to working for Concentra as an off-site employee. Then she proceeds to tell me it would be 15-20 minutes. WHAT! Why the Hell didn't you say that you only had one nurse doing x-rays...blah, blah, blah. It is totally inexcusable. Then they don't want you to leave and come back. I swear time of my life I will not get back. I will never come here again I don't care about what job it is for. If I have to go through them, I seek employment elsewhere. RIDICULOUS! They SUCK! Some of the staff is rude and the doctor I saw was dismissive and unhelpful. I went in for a work related injury and during my follow up I told the doctor my pain was a lot worse and it was hard to even sit up but he wouldn't listen to my symptoms and didn't bother to run any more tests. He tried sending me back to work with no restrictions after 3 days even though the pain was unbearable and I could barely stand up and my job started threatening to fire me because I couldn't come in despite what the doctor said. I ended up having to go to the ER and after they ran more tests I was told it's a good thing I did because my condition could have required surgery and could have even led to kidney failure and that I needed another two weeks off work. Don't come here if you have a choice; they'll probably just screw you over. read more

The front office staff is very rude and disrespectful, and exceptionally slow. They treat you as a number and are very unwilling to work with your schedule. They never ask when you can return for a follow up. They just make the schedule and tell you if you can not make call back when you can. DO NOT COME HERE. They misdiagnose you and send you back to work when you're CLEARLY still in a lot of pain. Some nurses are nice, doctors are quick, dismissive, and careless. The ladies at the front desk are rude with you on the phone. I unfortunately had visited this spot multiple times for multiple appointments over one injury and it did not go well and went straight to the ER which I'm glad because they ACTUALLY do thorough TESTS and know what they're doing. Had to see a doctor urgently for a throat infection and couldn't get in to see my own. I waited about the same amount of time that I do at my regular doctor's office. What impressed me most about this visit was that they called me a few days later to check on me. No other urgent care centers that I've been to called to check on me. The doctor and rest of the staff were pretty friendly and have their act together. I'd definitely go here again if the need arises. read more

This review is solely based on my meeting with Adam Bentley (the physical therapist). I was sent here by my employer after I was injured at work. There was almost no wait time, and diagnostics were fast. I was told by the attending physician that I may have rotator cuff impingement but he wanted to have me evaluated by PT. Adam was VERY nice and made sure I was comfortable. He worked me up, and while the motions were uncomfortable, he made sure not to push me past what I was comfortable with. He said (after physical exam) that my rotator cuff seemed fine and he was worried about a partial bicep tear with tenosynovitis. He let me know that he couldn't be sure due to referred pain and inflammation, but wanted to make sure that we got an accurate diagnosis so I wouldn't need unnecessary surgery or MRI. He asked that I come back in a few days to see a colleague of his so they could be sure. I was impressed. Not every doctor is willing to immediately jump to having another person evaluate a patient. He seems to genuinely care about appropriate diagnosis and patient care. If you need PT, Adam is awesome! read more

Front desk staff super helpful and friendly, however physical therapy is a joke there, don't do it. No attention to detail, have multiple patients at a time to one physical therapist, and just treat you generally, not case by case. I've been to this location several times, and the staff has been consistently very friendly and attentive. The wait time to see a doctor is reasonable, and as another reviewer mentioned, they call to follow up on your progress. The staff is also very responsive to phone requests. The only minus is that the doctor only spends a few minutes per case, but for me that is to be expected for this type of clinic. I whole-heartedly recommend this Concentra for urgent care. read more

Even though this urgent care was in my insurance network the front desk staff couldn't figure out how to run my insurance (even after confirming on the phone with a representative that I was 'in network') so I had to pay out of pocket. Well my boyfriend and I came in about 4pm Tuesday afternoon and there was only 2 people in the waiting room. Paperwork was short and we were done with that in 5 minutes. Apparently the front desk ladies didn't know how to enter his information so that took about forever then finally got another lady to figure that out! Then 2 people walk in and filled out paperwork and were taken back not even 10 minutes after signing in. Through all this mess my boyfriend is in extremely excruciating pain in his lower back. Can't even walk or barely sit in the chair. I would in my mind red flag that as an "oh we need to get him back ASAP!" seriously...? I would understand if the place was packed but when I'm hearing crickets (not literally...the place is clean) I better hear his name quick to get called back. People I am not that person to complain but this is an URGENT care place not let's sit and have a tea party! Maybe it's just today but this place sucks! I'm writing this as I'm sitting here and it's been about 2 hours. Might as well have gone to the emergency room at least they might have somewhere for him to lay down! After we contemplated just leaving he got called back finally and was back there for maybe 10 minutes or less with the doctor. I don't know about you but that's a really short time to have a visit for something and apparently by boyfriend didn't even get a chance to speak. All the doctor had him do was bend over and felt around then prescribed him some muscle relaxers and told him to take OTC pain relievers. Like he hasn't been taking those daily anyway...like what the heck?? So get his prescription and there's only 5 pills. 5 pills for a stalky guy with a month worth of pain beforehand while doing heavy duty labor for 9-12 hours a day 24/7. $120 for that visit?? The front desk staff was very genuine and friendly. They have a great team there. If you are ever injured I strongly recommend this place. No issues with front office staff, location and or wait times. However; Dr Robert Contreras is one of the worst physicians I have ever been to. He was so rude and one of the most arrogant and condesending physicians I have ever encouter. His facial expressions, the tone in his voice, fake smile and terrible communication skills reminded me that I was another piece of meat in the work comp system that he just had to process through to get his pay check. Not recommended by any means and I know exactly why he is not practicing in his own practice. Run...run as fast you can and never look back. The doctor here not only misdiagnosed my condition, but he gave me a dangerous level of steroids that made my condition worse. When I went to another doctor weeks later, she was shocked at what had happened. Now I will have to go to a specialist because the prescription he gave me made my condition so much worse. Oh yeah, it was a two hour wait and the staff was terrible. I genuinely feel sorry for the millions of workers comp patients who have had to come to these terrible people. While Concentra is a good place to get medical care, be careful of their pricing policies. THEY CAN BE EXPENSIVE. I was assured by their staff that Medicare would cover my brief and not urgent visit. This ended up not being true, and while they gave me the Medicare contracted discount and Medicare paid a small portion, the amount they billed me for my portion was considerable more than if I had gone to my old family physcian. Concentra's base rate for their Office/Outpateint vist is nearly double what my physian would have charged and three times what the same visit is to other urgent care companies. read more

Don't see Dr. Robert Contreras!!! This man indirectly SHAMED me and made me feel guilty for having strep throat "again" (even though I have never seen him before, and the last time I had strep was 8 years ago...the only reason I tested positive for strep this time is that I'm a carrier, so I have no idea why he would say "you tested positive for strep, AGAIN") and freaking SCOLDED me for being at work with this illness...he gave me penicillin and cough syrup to treat it, even though I had none of the symptoms of strep. This idiot "doctor" incorrectly diagnosed me!!! So after going 4 days without getting better, I decided to call the Teledoc hotline associated with my insurance, they correctly diagnosed me with RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) in 5 minutes, and gave me the correct meds. I felt better the very next day. I wasn't getting better because, surprise! ANTIBIOTICS DON'T TREAT VIRUSES. Do not go see these people. Dr. Contreras gave me the willies, was a super weird person in general, not to mention RUDE, and obviously doesn't know what strep looks like. read more

One person started my check in process and then just left for lunch without completing it. 1.5 hours later I ask why everyone was seen except me. 15 minutes later the staff finally figures out that my chart wasn't finished or put in the stack to be seen. I just called this Concentra to ask them a very simple question about an appointment. They said, "Let me look your information up right quick," and put me on hold. I stayed on hold for 5 minutes before someone finally picked up, but it was a different person who didn't know anything about my appointment or information. I filled them in again, and once again they said, "Let me look your information up right quick," and put me on hold. I stayed on hold for another 5 minutes before a woman with an attitude picked up and rudely asked me what I wanted. I filled her in for the third time, and she said, "Let me look your information up right quick," and put me on hold. This time though, I realized that I hadn't even given her my name before she said that, so there is no way she was looking up my information. I sat on hold for 10 minutes before finally hanging up and calling them again. This time I started the conversation by saying, "Please don't put me on hold. I already sat on hold for 20 minutes before giving up and calling again so please don't put me on hold." Her response, "Hold on just a minute," and she put me on hold. I'm done with this place.
