My review is based on my 4 visits from evaluation and diagnosis to workman's comp dismissal. As other reviews have stated, this clinic is primarily for workman's comp urgent care cases and not just for an everyday urgent care need. 1st visit - Day of injury. They were completely patient and thorough on trying to get me in to see the MD while my company was trying to arrange all the proper paperwork. The service was fantastic. All the medical staff was professional and polite. I was seen by the md, X-rays taken and received my work status order with order for medications, back brace, hot/cold packs and a pain relief over the counter roll-on. Total time for office visit was 40 min. 2nd visit - follow-up with MD 4 days post injury. Physical therapy cancelled my first session on the same day and rescheduled for the following week. MD was concerned PT cancelled and even though I felt much better he still wanted me to go to PT. He allowed me to return to my full work duties. Total time for office visit was one hour. 3rd visit -first PT session 8 days post injury. I was already feeling better and had no pain. PT gave me some stretches to do at home. She was wonderful and helpful. 4th visit - 2nd follow up with MD. MD released me from Workman's comp. This is when it gets bad. I was upset that this visit took 2 hours!! I had an appointment and came 10 min early. It took 30 min for them to call me back. Then when I was called back, I was sat in the hallway and waited another 30 min for an exam room to be available. Once in the exam room, I waited another hour for the MD to enter. I even heard the staff say they had a patient that had been waiting since noon (so that person was waiting for ever 3 hours). So yes they are wonderful but they over booked! I get that they get a lot of walk-ins like myself on my first visit but they should have rooms set aside for just walk-ins and stick to a tighter appointment schedule. read more

Came to Concentra for a DOT physical and drug test Right from the start the check-in/front office people were extremely friendly and knowledgeable Unfortunately I did not have an appointment as apparently these are difficult to be had here It was explained to me that they like to keep walk-ins to a 90 minute maximum but today was an extremely day As per the conversation my wait ended up being right about the time quoted The attending nurse was very informative, friendly and professional The on staff doctor as well was top-notch All in all this was an excellent experience for me and I absolutely would recommend coming to Concentra if the need arises again... especially this location! read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. This place is the most unprofessional and disgusting place I've ever stepped foot in. The staff are completely rude and make you feel less of a person. They talk badly about patients and make fun of people. My wife had an injury at work and needed to go to an urgent care. Thank goodness it was nothing serious but the lady with the small eyes and big, thick glasses was the worst. They had us waiting over 4 hours just for the doctor to say that they were going to clear my wife because it was nothing serious. The lady with the big thick glasses was nice at first and welcoming until she heard me say that we were here for my wife. She made a nasty and disturbing face when I said "wife". I know people aren't accepting which is fine, we've gone through a lot of that but this was a field of care and she did make it clear that she was bothered with our presence. She told us to fill out some paperwork and that it'll be sent to my wife's phone number. We didn't receive it until 30 minutes later and then when we tried to fill it out, we were unable to access the website because the same lady put my wife's information incorrectly. We had to fill out the information inncorectly in order to pass by their system. We finished the paperwork work and we sat in the waiting room for about another hour. Then the same lady proceeded to ask us if we finished the paperwork and I said yes about an hour ago. The lady then said that we didn't do the paperwork and my wife showed her the page where it said that all the information was completed. The lady then said it was they were having problems with their system but even then she didn't check us in until an hour after. Then they called my wife to the back to get seen by the doctor. I asked if I could go with my wife because she gets anxious with the doctor due to previous experiences like this one. The same lady said no because they is only one person allowed. Which was fine but then when other people were coming in, they were allowed to be in the room with their wives/husbands of the opposite gender. I asked if I could go to the room to get my car keys so that way I can wait in the car because their chairs were beyond uncomfortable. That same lady then announced very loudly that I was going to the room to get keys and leave. she said make sure she comes back out after getting the keys. I grabbed the keys and started walking out and I heard one of the front desk ladies say I wasn't going to let lesbians in the same room. I can't confirm who it was saying it because I didn't physically see but if I had to guess it would be that same lady because I recognized her voice. I'm beyond disgusted and disapointed. I normally don't write about reviews but this was infuriating because my wife was uncomfortable and just wanted to go home already. it only seems Dr J and the check out staff are the only ones who listen and care for patients. every other person didnt even care to listen to what was wrong, just said its healed, its your fault and released from care instead of addressing my concerns. the PA that discharged me is also the one who took 4hrs to look at an xray, send home to come back following day for someone else to verify indeed had broken bone. no considerations as to it being over an hour of driving every time had to come in, add in awful wait times, its no wonder work injury care gets such a bad reputation. read more

If you could avoid coming here, I would. However, I couldn't, as my workplace had deemed Concentra as the go-to place for my pre-employment physical exam and drug screening. Came here on a weekday afternoon a little before 3pm and was turned away by the receptionist, saying I was too late for a physical. Mind you, they close at 5. Got here at 6:55am this morning (they open at 7am) for my physical exam. Service is extremely slow. Took me an hour and a half be called in. The whole process took 2 hours. I'm not sure how they prioritize clients, because they don't call people in by the order in which they sign in; it was all very unorganized. read more

The doctors here are the lowest of the low, they lie on reports or ignore all concerns and shift blame to each other. One did a bad stitching job, another says my physical injury is a genetic disorder which never happened until said injury. The nurses were sympathetic though. If your here for any reason than you got the short end of the stick. I had my friend make records of every interaction because of their negligence and un-professionalism. read more

I came in today to this Urgent Care just to get my vitals taken by a medical professional. I had just switched insurance providers and so I have been trying to set up a new pcp while also attending my psychiatrist. I have been jumping through hoops for days with other places telling me I need to wait or to do bloodwork or a myriad of other things before they can just take my vitals so I can present them to my psych. Today at Concentra I walked in no appt., told them my situation, and the wonderful young woman at the front desk named Rosa helped me out and said they could take me shortly as a courtesy. They had me in and out in less than 20 minutes and at the end I expected a small copay at least... they said it's okay have a good day. THANK YOU TO ROSA AND MERAB AT CONCENTRA!!!!!! read more

I visited Concentra for some pre employment immunizations/ bloodwork. Visited on a Wednesday and was there 3 hours. The front desk staff were polite but not very attentive to anyone when they were standing there waiting to ask a question or check in. The phlebotomist that helped me seemed to not know what she was doing and was all over the place. "Did I wipe you with alcohol? Hmm I need this.. oh wait no I don't." Not very reassuring... I was poked by 2 other before the clinic manager was able to draw my blood. She was amazing! Great communication & extremely professional. 5 days post visit and I have cellulitis where I received my immunization. I won't be returning. read more

Came to the Concentra 1st street location after a work injury. The staff was extremely patient and kind. I could barely walk and everyone was extremely helpful. The doctor took the time to truly listen to me and make sure he had the correct treatment plan. The doctor suggest physical therapy. After my visit the nurse walked me over to their on site PT department. Their physical therapists (Grant, Kanuj, and Marissa) are extremely knowledgeable and I appreciate everything they did to help me recover. I wish I could leave 10 stars. Most of the staff here are garbage human beings. I was told it would be a 20 minute wait after I arrived with an appointment. The wait was 4 hours long. Additionally, when I called to cancel my follow-up appointment, they told me "I'll make a note of that" and then quickly hung up on me before I could ask any follow up question. The time before that, I came here at 7am with a stomach bug; I was throwing up every 30 minutes but they couldn't be bothered to turn off the Food Network on the TV. Even though I was the very first person in line, they made me wait an hour and a half to "process my insurance" even though they made me pay upfront and didn't even go through my insurance. I'd be lying if I didn't mention that there were a couple staff members, however, that were absolute sweethearts. The gal that gave me my x-ray and the gal who helped me on the phone the second time (I believe her name is Michelle) were absolute rock stars. The x-ray lady got me a blanket when I was waiting in the freezing cold waiting room and Michelle took the time to look up my file and help me. Avoid if at all possible. Although, if you've seen the reviews already and are still going, I'm guessing that you probably don't have any other option. read more

I arrived at 6:45 am - (15 minutes before they opened at 7:00am with 8 people in front of me). It is now 1:25 pm and I'm STILL WAITING to be seen. How can a physical and lab work require a 6+ hours process- it boggles the mind. Run away from this place if you can, if not bring some drinks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a hat, and a chair because it's gonna be a long day. They only allow 9 people to sit in the waiting room, everyone else (20+ people) are standing outside in the sun d/t Covid restrictions. read more

I strained my back at work back in November and my workplace insurance finally got around to sending me here. Seeing the doctor was quick, but almost too quick. They deal with a lot of people, so I'm sure speed is necessary, but I was a little nervous when I was only asked a few questions. Regardless, they sent me into the south wing of the building for physical therapy and this is truly where they shine. I was helped by Kanuj and Grant. These guys are personable and they really seem to care. I've been to physical therapy before at a completely different clinic, and the staff weren't helpful at all. This place was different. They took the time to listen to me and how my pain was emerging. They took the time to explain to me what could be going on, and it felt like a collaborative effort. I could hear them giving the same exact experience to all of the other patients as well, and everyone was in good spirits due to how helpful and personable the staff is. They check in on patients often, and actually have goals for patients to get better and stronger. They celebrate each patients little victories, as they recover, and it shouldn't go unrecognized. I went in for 6 appointments and they sent me home with everything I need to take care of myself from here on. Hopefully I don't get injured and *have* to come back, but if I do, I'll be coming back here! read more

No stars would be better. Front desk employees are not clear on getting right information needed. As soon as coming in for a physical exam they have you fill out some paper work that is needed. Then once you are done they ask for you to fill out the same information on their app asking all the same questions you just filled out on the paper. *** be sure to let them know once you are done with the questions on their app because once you are done it tells you, they will notify the place and your former employer. But it does not. I waited a additional 30 minutes -- no time is necessary on coming although they are open 8-5pm and expected wait time to be seen here is about 3 to 4 hours. 1 star is for they're free snacks and beverages Letting you know , you will be here for awhile so sit back and wait your time to be seen. I would give this place a negative rating. Poor quality of service. Each time I've gone their they either can't check me in because their check in system is down or say you should go somewhere else because the wait is long. They should definitely change their name it's not urgent care they just like to cater to drug testing. Like the lady said "we are mostly a workers comp clinic or testing". They don't like treating sick people. Due to my prior bad experiences for myself I hesitating going again for my son, but since they are the only urgent care my insurance covers I had no choice. I tried to call ahead to see if they would take him before I wasted my time but they don't answer their phones. Your just on hold for so many minutes and it drops the call. So I went in to take my son. Explained that I needed him seen for urgent care and they said same thing that I should go somewhere else and wait is 3 hrs but they'll have manager talk to me after waiting 15 min. The manager again said same thing and told me they can't even see my son because he is too young. Unbelievable. I'm so done with this place. No information on when to return. And to get my employees information faxed with the properly completed fields, there phone system will send you to Michelle V. Voicemail. 2 times and 3 weeks later, nothing back from her. Calling again and speaking to somebody real, they transferred me to a "Forever On Hold" line. I was told it would be sent and after waiting for about 2 months, I got someone that understands what follow up and expedite means. He not only called the other office but he left me the voice message that was not only professional but detailed the conversation he had with the other office! I am a travel nurse and needed to get a simple drug test and physical here. I made an appointment at the front desk to come back the next day because the wait was long and when I arrived I was told by Cassandra that the appointment I made was a "walk in appointment" and not a real appointment and I still had to wait over an hour. Cassandra and the ladies up front were rude and couldn't care less. The PA I met to do my physical was very kind however. Just be prepared to wait even if you made an appointment. read more

First Yelp review ever. I got here at 11am as a walk in but was told to come back at 1pm. Then, waited 4 hours to be seen. FOUR. Room was packed so I waited in my car & outside the entire time. (Note it was 101 degrees today) Got called in around 5 for the drug screen, and was placed in an exam room for my physical. It is now 6:30pm and I'm STILL waiting. Staff members have been apologetic and I know it is not their fault for the wait, I've also heard talks of "short staff" but upon reading other reviews, this just seems like their everyday situation. The staff here are super nice and great customer service but Alert!!! I don't understand what takes so long. The most inefficient system for work related testing...You better set aside 5-6 hours out of your day if you come here. This is my second visit to this place...first time 7am until 2:30 i sat and waited for physical and other work related requirements...2nd time all i need is one VACCINATION and I came in at 7am then returned at 10 am and still wasn't seen hours later for just a vaccination a two minute procedure.....it's noon and I'm still waiting and waiting and waiting.......Slowwwwwww....This is not just an urgent care, they do workman's comp injuries, drug testing, vaccines, blood tests, work physicals...they are a one stop shop for employers needing new employee requirements. If the review was based on the staff Attitude and customer service would have given it 5 stars but they seem short staffed and the whole system is inefficient...so slow extremely slow and like 60 people always waiting in the waiting room. And a line out the door all waiting for the same thing requirements for a job...so they have to be here...if you can avoid it...go somewhere else. read more
