Since post doesn't let you give this business 0 star the one star is being forced l. Back in December I posted how PUC requested my deductible upfront for treatment when I was sick with the flu. I walked out without any treatment. Which is violation of insurance provider contract. Today I get an explanation of benefits for treatment I did not rendered and PUC charged my insurance $500.00 and received a payment from my insurance for $200.65. Despite the provider stating their weak explanation for their actions this only proves my point they put business before patient care. This was no accident, despite being denied treatment, they turn around and bill my health insurance company for services NEVER rendered . That is bad billing practice. I am taking my complaints to the Better Business Bureau and my insurance company. I would seriously think about taking your business to Premium Urgent Care. And Sonya L business manager here is my personal message to you. Return your payment of $200.65 back to my insurance company. Staff here are unprofessional, untrained, rude, immature, negligent, and incompetent. Who is in charge?? What happened to this place? I went to Premium Urgent Care - Herndon & Milburn on Friday, Sept 12. The first medical assistant handled "sterile" swabs with her dirty gloves that she was walking around in prior to entering my exam room. I asked that we wait until after I was examined by the provider before swabbing anything... The nurse practitioner was very pleasant, performed his exam, and ordered a throat culture... The second medical assistant entered the room carrying pre-opened swabs while still wearing unsanitary gloves. When I requested that new swabs be opened in front of me (a basic infection control measure), she argued with me, refusing to get new tests. I insisted that tests be opened in my presence, she rolled her eyes, left, slammed the exam room door, and shouted my request across the back office... I left untreated because the staff refused to follow basic infection control standards. Standards that, by the way, UnitedHealth Centers across the street follows without question (that's where I ended up)... To make matters worse, on a previous visit, Premium Urgent Care staff sent another patient's prescription to my pharmacy under my name. Thankfully, the pharmacist and I caught the error, but this is a dangerous mistake that should never have happened. This facility urgently needs retraining on CDC Standard Precautions (proper glove use, sterile handling of supplies), prescription review and verification processes, and a full CDPH audit of infection control practices. Patients deserve safe care, not negligence and hostility. read more

Quick and efficient. It's not like AFC Urgent care at all where the wait time can be up to 2 hours even with an appointment. I'm glad I gave this place a try. I called and the receptionist told me to complete the forms online; however, it requires printing. So that needs to be updated on their website. read more

Bathroom clean, waiting room clean, gave me a mask, make sure you check in after your mobile check in. Nice doctor, didn't hurry me, talked about what was happening, what the options were and what he was going to prescribe. Longer review Have a nasty flu, that wasn't going away, went to another urgent care across the street first, turned away at the other place because they don't do urgent care before noon? So I drove across the street, walk up to the counter they show me a QR to scan to check in, no problem for me but some people might find this off putting, basically the same check in process just not on a clipboard with a pen. Takes a few mins, after doing this I went back to the counter to pay my co pay. Then went to a machine to do my measurements, weight, blood pressure, etc, no real direction here just kind of sit and figure it out situation. Doctor visit was good, he was cordial and genuinely sympathetic with my condition. Didn't seem hurried or overly concerned with getting out of the room and to the next patient took his time explaining the symptoms and what to expect. Drs check your symptoms out and gives you options on their thoughts of treatment! They make you feel comfortable and confident in their care! Love the care this Premium Urgent gives to patients! Really friendly professional and knowledgeable staff they have from front office to back office! The employees and staff truly enjoy their jobs. If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would! I am beyond disgusted with this place. They simply don't give a damn & they just don't listen at all. First of all, I went here and was given a prescription that did not agree with me, so I had to go back here, pay another co-pay & be re-evaluated which was a waste of my time. The stupid NCP did not even listen to me when I told them NOT to send my prescription to a pharmacy that was closed, so I spent a bunch of wasted time, effort & aggravation driving to the pharmacy I told them to send it to, only to find out that they sent my prescription exactly where I told them not to - a closed pharmacy!! I am highly pissed how they screwed up my specific instructions/ directions - what a complete waste of my time! These people "working" here simply DO NOT CARE about the patients here at all. Two Hispanic girls sitting at the front were too busy talking, playing banda music, and chatting about how more people were trying to come this late. Terrible, i went in for an ear infection and i was told to buy eardrops and ill be prescribed ibuprofen. It was a quick 5 minute check the doctor checked my infected ear with a ear scope and proceeded to check the pther ear, i didn't notice at the time but he didn't change the tip for the ear scope which led to my other ear being infected so now im stuck with 2 infected ears As for the prescription, it was never sent to the pharmacy i chose (cvs) or anything other cvs, he seemed like he just wanted to get it over with. Marie at the front desk is horrible. No empathy. My friend came in with a sharp object lodged in her thumb and she was short and all she cared about was paperwork. Next we had to weigh and get vitals with Monica. She had the personality of a piece of wood. She wasn't sure if Dr. Lasher is a doctor. Lasher is nice and a nurse practitioner. She was wonderful. If I could give no stars I would. One of the ladies at the front desk was helpful. The other was super rude and acted as if I was inconveniencing her when I was trying to pay my bill and get the documentation that I requested from the doctor for my child's visit. However the doctor was just incompetent and rude! I explained my child's symptoms and he told me basically that sneezing is an allergy symptom not a sickness symptom. WHAT???? Since when??? He barely checked out myself or my child...barely listening to my child's lungs and I can't even remember if he checked my kiddo's ears. He definitely didn't ask my child to open up so he could check the throat. He quickly checked my breathing and my ears and throat and said everything was good. He said it was probably a viral infection and just needed rest and lots of fluids. My child has a bad cough with sneezing and horrible congestion and my child had been playing with a sick friend at school which happened to be absent on Friday for being sick which I told the doctor that. I have the start of a cough which I told him always travels to my chest and I get bronchitis every year. So he basically brushed my concerns off. I told him I needed to know what medication I could give my child and explained why I needed to know including the meds my child takes and some of the ongoing medical issues that my kiddo experiences that are pertinent to treating my kiddo. The doctor told me give him Benadryl to "dry him out" and no cough meds but wanted to prescribe a cough medicine for me which I declined because my cough wasn't super bad yet and I didn't trust that he would actually give something that I could take or would be a help...I'm allergic to codiene. He also tested us both for flu and I had them also test my kiddo for COViD which we were negative for everything. When I asked for documentation of why my kiddo was seen, what my child was treated for, and what was recommended the Doctor looked at me like I was an idiot. In explaining why I needed it, I ended up saying something that I didn't want to have to say about my kiddo in front of my kiddo to get the doctor to give me what I needed. He walked out without really acknowledging my request. Hence the reason I asked at the front desk and got the rude response. Lo and behold I gave my kiddo the one med that I was ok'd to give and guess what...it didn't work. Oh and my cough is worsening...going into my chest just like I told the Doctor it would. So now I will have to find somewhere else to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. Thanks I spent 2 hours of my time and money just to get confirmation we don't have Covid or flu. I'll NEVER return to this urgent care or the Clovis location which I have also had a poor experience at a few years ago. The doctors are completely incompetent. We came here because my wife was having massive dizziness and almost passing out. She had had allergies before and it has been nothing like this. When we went in the doctor shrugged it off and told her to take allergy medicine when we said that he wasn't treating the issue he slammed the door and stormed out. The PA told us to get a second opinion immediately because her ears were so inflamed and the doctor said nothing was wrong. We went to a different urgent care to get a second opinion and they are now having us get a CT scan and say it's a inner ear infection and that we now need to go to the emergency room because of the severity. Do not come here you are better off going somewhere else. Instead of getting treated like trash by the doctors here. The doctor didn't even try to diagnose anything. Pure negligence. read more

Opens at 10am. Got here at 10:06 turned in paperwork at 10:10 am w 4 ahead. Lexi in the front will lead this business to fail. It's been 1 full hour and I still haven't been called to even pay my co pay or get my ID back. A good front receptionist should only take between 5-10 mins MAX. That's with data entry and insurance verification. Simple math, 5 patients including myself, 10 mins a piece to register, no excuses. I've been a receptionist with 3-4 mins expected registration time. We could not slow the back office. Thank goodness for Kristi to the rescue. And urgent care would want to have someone fast to help turn rooms around. An urgent care is a turn around in and out ordeal. Anything extensive, resort to your PCP. Horrible staff and doctor was very unprofessional. After waiting for hours with and empty room and becoming fed up I just asked for a refund which they refused to give even when I hadnt been seen and asked me to leave. They also charged more with my insurance then without. After calling my insurance the co pay was supposed to be $40 and they charged $135 then refused to refund even after not seeing me. I'm reporting this urgent care & Dr. Douglas P Kerr They only care about getting the $120 for the rapid covid test and bill your insurance for an office visit. The doctors office didn't even send me home with an RX I had to call several times before they send a RX to my pharmacy and to only find out I was allergic and it was a extremely low dose of antibiotics for 5 days and I'm still EXTREMELY sick going on over 7 days now. After they take your money for a negative covid test they don't follow up and send you to your PCP. Worthless place. Absolutely don't go here! St Agnus urgent care is directly across the street where they actually take the time to find out what's wrong with you. Worst urgent care & worst doctor- terrible service read more

This is the second time Dr Kerr was NO help and had an attitude. He refused to treat me, and then said he was going to discharge me because I said I was going to file a complaint against him. I have been an RN for 20 years and the convince of seeing Dr Kerr and getting treated was great. I was able to walk in ,and get checked in and seen with in the hour. They are able to fix everyday illness quickly or advise you to go to the hospital for higher level of care. read more

Has goes in to check if he has a couple broken bones w waited 3 1/2 hours for them tell him that there is no x-ray tech that day. My Mom is visiting for six weeks, she is 85 with Alzheimers. We had a visit at St Agnes Urgent Care, it was absolute nightmare. my Mom needed a re-check and I took her to Premium Urgent Care. Received a call the next morning after posting the original review. Sonya was very kind and informative. She explained the reasoning and issues behind billing the insurance company. Premium Urgent Care realized and refunded the copay that they originally charged as UHC had waived it. I would hope they are retroactively doing this for all patients that qualified for the waiver even if months later (like myself). Hopefully Premium Urgent Care and UHC resolve their differences sooner rather than later. I have recommended to friends and coworkers to call and request their copay be refunded as their insurance also waived the copay. Unfortunately, they had not received a refund automatically and had to call in. Testing-wise they remain one of the most efficient places and cannot be faulted for that in anyway. read more

Extremely slow service. We got here just after opening and waited in the waiting room about 15 minutes after checking in, which isn't bad. But once we got back to a room we waited for 45 minutes before the doctor came to see us. The walls are also incredibly thin and we could hear all the medical information about other patients while we waited. read more

Wasn't feeling great after work today. Sore throat and headache. Dropped in to this urgent care and was quite impressed with how quickly I was seen. Online registration was an awesome plus! Staff was all very friendly and the doctor was very nice and patiently worked on the proper medication to treat strep throat that would not interfere with my allergies and existing medications. read more

Best urgent care hands down! I made an appointment online for the next morning. I was greeted with a smile from the receptionist. She went over my insurance and got me checked in quickly. I was called back within 15 minutes. The medical assistant was super sweet I wish I would have gotten her name. You could tell she genuinely cared, which is nice to see in a medical setting. The doctor came into my room within minutes. He went over everything in detail with me and answered all of my questions. I never felt rushed throughout my entire visit. I went to the Clovis Premium Urgent Care for an injury. I filled out the forms and waited for an hour and 10 minutes before an employee said that she had had to contact my insurance company. She stated that since my deductible had not been met I would have to pay in advance for the office visit. I should mention that during my hour and 10 minute wait, I was the only person in the waiting room. Shortly after paying, I was escorted into a treatment room. The person who treated me never introduced himself, so I don't know if he was a doctor, or a physician's assistant, or some other healthcare worker. When I left, neither of the two workers at the front desk said anything to me. Several hours later I received a call from the office, telling me that there were additional charges for treatment. I asked her to bill my insurance company. She said that they don't bill the company and that I have to pay. I asked her why did I have to list my insurance companies on the form that I filled out if they don't bill the insurance company? She repeated that don't bill and that I needed to pay. I hope that I don't require an urgent care facility again, but I ever do, I will not be using Premium Urgent Care! read more

My experience in this urgent care is frustrating. The staff ( I forgot to ask her name) who answered my phone call is not patient friendly. They were supposed to call me after an hour but it didnt. I called them to follow up. So the lady that answered my phone was unfriendly, unaccommodating and not helpful. I use to love this place. Super fast, great staff as of last year. However, this place is now a joke. The front desk needs to stop with all the outside conversation and actually do what they're getting paid for. They let me go an hour without telling me that they didn't take my insurance after all. One of the ladies at the desk mentioned she tried to call me but I In fact did not receive no calls. I'm sick and don't feel good and when I decided to walk in (because I was waiting in my car) one of the ladies at the front desk ran to the back. ????. I absolutely love it I go here all the time just walk in register . They are very friendly and welcoming sometimes I go and my symptoms could all be caused from anxiety and other times it actually could be something treatable and dr Kerr takes the the time to re assure me that everything will be ok .
