First the good... the wait was only about an hour between the time I walked in until the time I saw a doctor. For most urgent cares thats pretty good. Now the not so good.... The receptionist was not friendly, welcoming, or minimally kind. I could see that I had interrupted her from doing her homework at her desk and I felt like I was treated as a bother to her. Actually the biggest issue I I had with my visit was privacy and confidentiality. The exam rooms are not rooms at all. They are just curtains. I didnt see any exam rooms with doors and four walls. You expect that in an ER at a hospital not a doctor's office. After I sat in the exam room waiting to be seen for 30 minutes. I could hear the doctor with another patient - someone who had come in to the waiting room and was filling out paper work when I was called to the exam room. I know that in a medical environment some patients need to be seen sooner than others. Its not neccesarily a first come first serve environment. Problem is that I know this patient's complaint was not pressing because I could hear the doctor tell her, "this is the most common thing we see in here". I pulled back my curtain because I thought maybe the staff forgot about me. When I did, the medical assistant sitting about 50 feet away admonished me for not keeping my mask on. I saw the doctor a short time later and was careful to keep my voice down as I spoke to him about my personal medical issue. He didn't do the same. This urgent care is as bare bones as you can get. Smiles, common courtesy, and privacy are scarce at Willow Urgent Care. read more

My wife was experiencing pain in her right hand and it had gotten to an excruciating level, so we decided to take her to urgent care. After taking her to Willow Urgent Care, they said that we should get X-Rays to check to see if there was potentially a fracture or something of that sort. This clinic does NOT have an X-Ray machine on site and used a service called San Joaquin Valley Imaging who brings in a mobile unit. BEFORE agreeing to this service, we asked how much the service would cost, and we were notified that it was $60 per image that they charge. At the end of the day, nothing was fractured, and we later found out that it was Arthritis related, and this visit to the Urgent Care turned out to be pointless. We paid somewhere around $300 for our visit Cash. 2 Months later, we get a bill in the mail from San Joaquin Valley Imaging for $490.66. This was extremely shocking so I decided to call Willow Urgent Care to see what this bill is about. Then I was explained to on the phone that the amount we paid per image was their FEE PER IMAGE. It wasn't even for the X-Ray itself. Wouldn't that have been great to know at the time of imaging and the potential cost of something like that which was not made aware to us. EXTREMELY DECEPTIVE service, I will never recommend this clinic and will be keeping my eye out from now on. Please don't get screwed like us. read more

Came here for a physical exam. Had a 2pm appointment on a Saturday and was the first one at the door waiting for the staff to come back from lunch. Saw the staff walk through the front door and locked the doors behind them... and they finally decided to open the doors at 2:10pm. If your lunch hour extends to 2:10pm, have that written on your business operations hours - 5 people were waiting in the heat waiting to get inside. Even though I was the first of five people to sign in, I was the last to be seen. All I needed was a pre-employment physical exam. I waited in the extremely dirty waiting room. The waiting room only had cloth cushioned (heavily stained) chairs, and they look like they've never been cleaned before. I patted one to see if it was safe to put my purse on, and a cloud of dust exploded from the seat. I immediately stood up and asked them to wait outside - didn't want to catch a disease waiting in the waiting room. Finally was called in to see the doctor. They have little "rooms"/stalls(?) that are blocked off by curtains, so EVERYTHING was audible - I could hear him tell my "neighbor" his ovaries were twisted, and the patient in the next room that his wound was infected. And I definitely heard him tell everyone he's been an ER doc for 25 years. Finally I was seen after 55 minutes of waiting, and the doc listened to my heart, my lungs, asked me a couple questions, and signed me off. Great, 5 minute deal for a $45 physical exam. Didn't expect anything more. BUT THEN I WAIT ANOTHER 20 MINUTES TO GET MY PAPERWORK SIGNED, so I go outside to wait again cuz I'm paranoid of catching something inside the building, and they tell me they'll walk the papers out when they're ready. After 20 minutes, I'm wondering why it's taking so long to just get a signature, and the signed papers are just sitting on a desk with a bunch of the staff just chit-chatting. All in all: AVOID THIS PLACE. You'll be waiting forever, and you might catch an infection while you're there. The building is plain gross. read more

Showed up at 2pm and they were closed for lunch which is totally fine. Came back at 3 and waited outside for 10mins with another lady that was waiting to be seen. A lady then comes from her car at 310pm and says sorry we took our lunch late so we are not going to be open until 330pm. She also said what did you need to be seen for because our doctor is new today and he can't do much. What does that even mean?! We need to be seen for our health and that is giving a false hope as a CARE PROVIDER. That's fine if you took your lunch late but the door was previously locked at 2pm! Not only did they extend their own lunch but then a family came out without wearing masks assuming it's the receptionists family and got in their car to leave. Of course it is now 3:40pm and the door is still NOT OPEN. I used to love this urgent care and now I will not come back it's gone to trash and the receptionists needs a reality check on the job she signed up for. read more

My experience with Willow Urgent Care was fantastic! The entire staff were helpful & understanding. I was seen by the doctor within 30 minutes of arrival (with awful flu symptoms). After a nasal swab test, my condition warranted a new viral flu treatment, and they sent the prescription directly to our pharmacy. They even went the extra step to get my Willow treatment records to my primary physician (which is usually a cumbersome process for someone severely ill). They billed my insurance and I only paid my standard co-pay amount. I've been to a couple of other urgent care facilities before, and I gotta say - Willow Urgent Care will be my go-to Urgent Care for any future needs. A few months ago I took my mom here because she accidentally sliced her finger with a razor blade. I can't even begin to give justice to the incredible staff that works here. They were beyond nice, courteous, and friendly. Their attitude, demeanor, and beside manner was nothing short of amazing. They made my mom feel so incredibly comfortable and welcomed and I am so grateful for that. She continued to go back and moderately get check ups for her finger and all of those visits were just as pleasant as well. Just today I went in to get a blood test done and once again I was greeted with the same time of amazing friendly service. The very nice nurse who took my blood did a fantastic job. At age 34, this was my first time having blood drawn and let me tell you I didn't feel a thing... I wish I could remember her name, but thank you again! And a special shout out to Judy, the doctor there who always has a great vibe to her. Every staff member I encountered were just awesome. Thanks again everyone! If you are hired for a position in customer service DO YOUR JOB!! She was NOT helpful and just wanted to get rid of patients because her lunch break was starting. Below is a paste that went to Jennifer who was unhappy with my care there as a medical provider a few days ago. This has been an eye opener for me. We're human and though I feel most of the patients really appreciate my care etc. I may have dropped the ball on my customer service or as we say, "bedside manner" in the medical arena. No doubt Dr Hansen and the staff deliver spot on Medical Care. I just wanted to share to all. I was completely surprised over the Yelp review. As an old backrow Baptist boy, I want to let you know how much this did pierce my soul and heart. Which takes a lot from this old army nurse corp Major and combat paratrooper etc. All I can do is offer a genuine heart felt apology. Sometimes when it gets busy we are rushed in patient care and being military more bland and straight forward. My wife & I are frequent patients here, since she has some health conditions that often incapacitate her and leaves us with no option but to come in for some emergency injections. Throughout our years coming here, we've had nothing but amazing care from the different providers & NP's that have been here. Above all, we would definitely love to give Jessica an amazing shoutout! She's incredibly caring and always remembers my wife, and does the best she can to show patience, empathy and give new providers here a quick rundown of her health history & such. As far as wait time, it usually ranges from 15-30 min, which is pretty fast for an Urgent Care, and we've never felt rushed. Definitely appreciate the staff here. read more

STAFF DID NOT WEAR MASKS AND DID NOT ENFORCE MASK WEARING. My wife came in for an urgent medical issue. She saw that someone else wasn't wearing a mask as they left. She told the front desk staff, who said that the person not wearing a mask was off duty so she didn't have to wear a mask. (Apparently for her, the coronavirus only infects people when you're on duty.) The doctor providing treatment entered the room not wearing a mask. He said he forgot it. He went back to put it on and it was a mask with an air vent--thus not effective at protecting others. read more

The staff were great and quite proficient. I was a little startled by the state of the waiting room. The chairs look like they have never been cleaned and they are filthy and stained. The rugs looked the same. The back appeared to be clean but the waiting room made me consider going elsewhere. They either need new furniture and rugs or they need someone to clean them up. Does not fulfill the business hours of operation as stated to the public, which is misleading and false advertising. There was an entire line waiting since 12:30pm to make sure they were seen while the office was out on lunch from 1:00pm to 2:30pm, the girls get back late at 2:37pm only to tell us that the doctor was not going to be there for the rest of the day due to an emergency. Mind you, this is not the first time they've done this. There were many other times when me and my family have came here and there was a note on the window saying due to an emergency they would not be open. Do not come here! Not if you are sick and need to be seen ASAP. You can't trust to be seen due to an "emergency" here at this urgent care. read more

Well the problem with willow urgent care continues. When I first called about a covid test I was told it would be $91. But now I keep receiving bills stating that I still owe $324 dispute me paying the $91 up front. After many tries I finally got a hold of someone that told me oh you was private pay, ok then yes it is only $91. Which was a red flag because does that the same service cost more of say you have medi-cal, which our taxes pay for. Rip off artist. But she did say because I was private pay she would take care of the balance but I am still receiving bills for the $324 and can not get a hold of anybody. I brought my daughter in for a rash from a mosquito bite and they told me they would give her two shots. One was given to her on her bottom for the rash. Went home and an hour later my daughter is in the most excruciating pain so I rushed her to the HOSPITAL for them to tell me that the person who gave her a shot hit a nerve!! My daughter can't mover her leg without crying!! They put her on prednisone and Doc said to wait 3 days and if it doesn't get better to come back to the ER. I WILL NEVER BE BACK!! He has taken care of several of my Medical emergencies in the past year and is a credit to his profession. He gets XXXXXX 6 Stars. NOW, let us chat about the office staff and BACK office, specifically. Jessica, the Medical Assistant working the phones. He manners are "deplorable" at best and is now the recipient of the (Worst of the Worst Award) in Fresno/Clovis for her bedside manner and her awful, just awful demeanor, condescending attitude on the phone. When asking Jessica questions regarding my file... her go to is to interrupt constantly and refuses to pay the patient any attention. She does not listen to the patient needs and exudes rudeness at every passing moment. Please take the phone away from her Dr. Hansen. She is the main reason for Road Rage if you know what I mean??? When I finally bypassed her and got Robin Hansen, the good Dr's wife (Owner) I soon learned that that horrible demeanor is taught and encouraged by the owner herself. She might have been having a bad day, who knows,,, however, they are there for YOUR care before, after... Do yourself a favor moving forward with WILLOW URGENT CARE,.Question everything they do and when, where, how, how much billing shall be and when they will send you statements, Do not depend on the front and back office staff to answer any questions as NONE of them know diddly. Get copies of ALL your billing up front and what care was given and dates and times of all care. Note to others coming here if you do not have a choice. 1. Pay Cash 2. Make sure you give all proper billing information or you might get mysterious calls with some young one asking for personal information and not stating who they are calling from. 3. Erm..no. One of the things I noticed when reading the reviews about this place was that they seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum. Lots of 5 star reviews and some 1 stars thrown in by people who admit that they didn't have issue with the staff necessarily, but that they were inconvenienced or that their co-pay was too high (take it up with your insurance). Because the negative reviews were for piddlin' problems and not, "I came in with a cold and walked out a kidney and both big toes short.", I decided to give this place a shot when my normal doctor wasn't available. Just, no. First of all, if you're used to going into a clean exam room, where they change the paper between every patient, this may not be the place for you. I was there for over an hour and never once heard paper being ripped. You may wonder, "How could you be so sure you didn't hear it?" and I would tell you that there are no doors between exam areas, just curtains. Kind of like an ER environment, which offers very little privacy. So little privacy, in fact, that I had the privilege of hearing the woman next to me groaning as she had a boil drained. Yeah. Instead of changing the paper, they had a dude who walked in and out of the rooms spraying disinfectant around in the air. Thanks, but I'll still sit in the chair. While I'm sitting in the chair, I'll lean my head back and run into an over-sized bandage that's been slapped over a hole in the wall. Humor? Laziness? Just...really? While waiting, the doctor came in quickly and at first I was surprised. Wow! Fast service! Until the doctor told me, "I'm very sorry, but your blood test came back positive." Which would have been horrible news for me IF I HAD HAD A BLOOD TEST DONE. Yeah. Wrong person. But thanks for violating all of those HIPA laws and letting everyone around me know I have a phantom case of the HIV. As soon as he realized that he had the wrong person, his face contorted into a horrified expression and he literally ran out of the "room". Like.."Code blue"/"There's a fire in the ICU"/"A tornado is headed this way, Toto!" running. While there for a case of bronchitis, I was told instead that I have asthma and that I should start using inhalers. This was discovered after twenty seconds of talking to me and a bare minimum exam. I'm sick, not asthmatic. But thanks. Never again. Go to Dr. Levin at Clovis Urgent Care for a much better experience in a spotless exam room. read more

As soon as i walk in there, the ladies at the desk are completely blunt and not friendly. It felt like i was bothering them. Luckily, no one was in there so i was able to be seen within 10 minutes. The nurse took me back and swabbed my throat to see what i have which i suspected was going to be strep throat. Doctor literally comes in a minute later. He looked in my throat and felt my lymph nodes and already knew what to prescribe. I asked him what was it i had and he a said "some strep virus". Seemed like he was unsure or just trying to get my appointment over with. The prescription was some steroid which made my muscles twitch when i took it. I immediately stop taking it bc i didn't like the way it made me feel. I don't know i just wish there was more concern and in depth examination. read more

I was there at 9:00 on Monday when it opened. The doctor didn't get there until 9:45. He couldn't button his own lab coat because his hands were shaking so badly. They said they were out for lunch until 2:05 pm...fair enough... long lunch but Ohkay...came back at 2:05 and they had changed the time to 2:25 pm. First off who takes almost a 2 hour lunch.
