Can't describe how disappointed I am with this place. Brought in my 64 year old mom on a Monday at 9:30am with a full lobby, maybe 20 people in front of us. We got checked in with no estimated time given. We noticed people going in and out that came after us. I asked the front desk if they could give us an estimate time and the girl say that the screening people go in first. At 11am I got up to ask one more time and the front desk girl mentioned that there is 1 person in front of us. Right now it's 12:00 noon and no one that was before us is here and we are still waiting. At this point i'm frustrated because I know it's almost lunch time and they will start taking breaks. I complained one more time and they said they will check with the doctor. The front desk could have easily said that it would be few hours and suggested elsewhere. I don't recommend this location at all, especially if you have an emergency. P.S. They also had two doctors in that were not doing screening as mentioned by front desk but over 30 screenings that occupied every room. Crazy. read more

She is a kind hearted professional who without a doubt loves her job and helping others. I was very nervous and had many questions over my visit. She was patient with me and very thorough with her explanations. She turned an uncomfortable situation into a great experience. So COVID vaccines aren't TECHNICALLY required BUT... If you're trying to be seen in person and your chief complaint has any symptoms that "could be linked to COVID" and you don't have the vaccine, lie. Being transparent gets you nothing but a referral to another urgent care or information for vaccine locations. Today I had a teledoc appointment and was told to follow up in person within 72 hours potentially for steroids because my symptoms all seemed to be linked to inner-ear issues. I informed the receptionist and doctor of that, but because I have nausea FROM DIZZINESS I couldn't be seen. My PCP is booked and I don't have another nearby urgent care in-network. Is half star an option? My wife, a registered nurse, went here to get her drug screening completed to start on time for a travel nurse contract. Come to find out days later that this place LOST her sample. Not to mention, she waited an hour with our toddler to get it done. Now her whole contract and our timeline is delayed by weeks with everything that entails (think rental lease agreement needing to be renegotiated, for starters). Wait there was too long! Was told we would be in and out in under a hour. Biggest lie ever! It took over an hour and half to be scene. Before they would even see him, they made him beforehand. The money wasn't an issue, it was the fact that we had to pay ahead, even though hey he his insurance card. Once we were seen, he was back there maybe 15 minutes. And they sent him home, they gave him no medication, they told him they were out for sure what it was. And he said he should just sleep on it and maybe it'll get better, if not go to the ER. Definitely was not happy about this experience because once we got home, we had to go to the ER and we found out that it was kidney stones! What a waste of time even going there. Before I get into my review, I would like to begin with a quick shout out that this is an U.R.G.E.N.T. C.A.R.E. facility!! Would you really want them to hurry with you if you came in needing urgent care (not a drug screen for employment or a physical)? Of course not. Sometimes its easy to miss the bigger picture. I am posting a raving review of my treatment by the front desk, nurse who took me in and the manager in charge who I spoke with. In keeping my privacy intact, I just want to say a THANK YOU for the much needed bedside manner you immediately showed me. That is what healthcare is all about. Making patients feel heard, understood, valued and at ease. Unfortunately, that is something that nowadays is sorely overlooked, so my moment in time there this week will stay with me far longer. I would give them a Zero if it was possible, I went for a physical at the request of my employer. Wait time is UNACCEPTABLE, I spent three hours before I saw the nurse, and another 45 minutes to see the doctor for a 5-minute exam. I was directed to the checkout desk to finish the paperwork and was told that they will fax the documents the same day. well, they didn't. The employees were apologetic about the wait time but I felt that is the norm for this location. read more

This Concentra Urgent Care should definitely look into the front desk "office manager" attitude and lack of personality! I brought my Nephew up here to get drug testing and evaluation for a job offer. Upon check-in, we let the Caucasian lady at the left side of the desk he came ready to give urine. She said, "ok have a seat, we will call you shortly!". After waiting patiently for an hour and a half without getting his named called, and 6 people that arrived after us getting called back to be seen... I walked back to the counter and said, my Nephew is literally dancing needing to release the urine please! She said, "we are about to call him back..." and gave me a terrible look. I requested manager and was told, "I am the manager!"... We waited twenty more minutes and finally they called him back. 2 hours is completely rediculous; but, if someone expresses discomfort and your manager could provide a bottle to at least get the urinalysis test out of the way, that would really help! Please address this concern with your front desk staff asap, your business has low ratings for a reason. SMH read more

If we could do 0 stars, we absolutely would. Our experience started when my husband was injured at work. He was referred to this location due to workers comp insurance. Upon the first visit, he ended up waiting in the exam room for 2 HOURS before he stuck his head out and reminded the staff that he was in there. Tara Stewart was the physician who saw my husband. She treated him initially, and stated that they require a follow up. He returned the next day for another check on his injury. After that one, no other appointments were scheduled after that, telling him he was good to go. Now a month later, the injury has flared back up again. We returned and the office personnel claim that there was a 3rd appointment that he never showed up to. No such appointments were scheduled. Tara Stewart was the physician whom saw my husband again this time. She initially told him this visit that "oh this just looks like bad allergies!" Without actually even giving an exam. Further into the exam, she realized that she had created scar tissue in his eye. He was sent on his way. They told him that they would call with an eye doctor referral in the morning. We waited, and nothing. I called the office to get an update, and they told us it would be 3-4 days, when he was told 24 hours the day prior. We fought and fought with the front desk personnel Alisa or Lisa, who kept telling him 15 minutes. 3 hours later we called and she told him that "your manager took too long to file the claim, and now no doctor wants to see you. We still have an appointment scheduled for you to come and see Dr Stewart again." We ended up calling the same eye doctor they claimed to have called, and made an appointment on our own. Even though he was told that "no doctor wants to see him". The whole experience showed us that the numbers were more important than actual patient care. It is absolutely unacceptable, and we will make sure to tell all of our friends and family to not ever support this facility or any other Concentra locations. read more

I have been to this location a few times for my job (drug testing and physicals) I have always had to wait way longer then should ever be expected. I'm talking hours and hours with no one helping me. It took forever to be seen. Gave me a prescription after being there 2.5 hours. Worker's Comp issue. Got to HEB and WC doesn't cover this particular medicine. HEB called their office to substitute. I called HEB after 2 hours to see if new medication was ready and they hadn't heard anything. I called Concentra and spoke to Tara (AVOID HER LIKE THE PLAGUE...SHE'S AN IDIOT) and she said she would call HEB immediately. I called HEB an hour and a half later and guess what??? They hadn't heard from her. Concentra has chumped all these businesses into Worker's Comp contracts and then provides shitty (at best), slow ("urgent" is a huge misnomer) care. Concentra should be ashamed. If I was dying and they were my only choice, I would choose death. It would be way less stressful and certainly quicker. read more

I found myself at Concentra after slipping and falling in the tub on my wedding night. And before you make a hilarious joke, no, it was not because of wedding night shenanigans. I literally slipped. That's all. Anyway, I landed on the left side of my torso, right on the ribs, and after a few days of being stubborn, my wife kinda sorta made me go to urgent care. Concentra was the only urgent care place covered by my insurance anywhere close to my home, so off I went. Everyone was super nice, and the doc who assessed me (Tara) was great. Turns out I had broken ribs, and after x-rays and reading every copy of People magazine available, she cut me loose with a proper painkiller prescription. She also followed up to inform me of the official diagnosis from the radiologist and threatened to cut me if I didn't leave a nice Yelp review. She was joking (I think) but I didn't need a threat on my life to make me leave a nice review. This urgent care clinic was great and I urge anyone who does something dumb like slipping in the bathtub on their wedding night to pay them a visit. read more

This place has some nice people here but some of the people that work the front desk are very rude. I was told there was going to be a 2 hour wait just for a physical. I said "2 hours?! are you serious?!" the lady smiled and said "Yes sir" in a very rude and condescending way. She also said "We have other appointments and other people to deal with sir". I replied "Yeah, well Express MD in Pflugerville does too and they don't make me wait 2 hours just for a physical!". Went for a CDL physical and was denied my 2 year card because of my neck size. Was told I needed a sleep study evaluation. Even though I passed the physical portion of the physical and blood pressure! Reaked of a scam going on. After consulting with my employer, I went to another company, took another physical, and given my 2 year card. Avoid concentra at all costs. They are in cahoots with sleep study facilities. FYI, $650 for in house study, $250 for in home. $150 phone call prior. Stay away! Can't stress enough!!! read more

Went in for a dot physical so I can get back to work I saw this African doctor , he was bias disrespectful this happened at the hapeville ga location , when he came in the room no acknowledgement, everything was fine my neck is a 16 and my pressure was normal , bmi is over but never was denied a dot card , we had a disagreement this doctor assuming I was a diabetic and hiv positive , he was saying that most people in Atlanta ga have it , I was there for my dot physical , what was this foolish doctor trying to assume , I could assume the same thing about him and could very well tell him that he probably might be , hiv positive or had a std instead instead assuming that a patient has it ,some one needs to put this place under investigation he broke the hippa law by saying most patients that comes there has an std wtf read more

They preferred to see people with work comp claims for piss tests and physicals before treating people actually sick. This place is ALWAYS busy. For starters your first time visit is a walk-in. I don't know about you but I do have other more important things to do then just sit and wait for nearly an hour to be seen! Finally when I made it back to the room I was quickly seen and given an X-ray. I would have to say the worst part about this office is the fact that you have to wait for such a long time. They not only specialize in Urgent care, but they also do worker's comp claims and drug screening. Who would have thought! Waited over an hour for a drug and TB test. I was not the only person that waited forever. Saw a lot of standing around and talking. One of the girls that works her coughed straight into her hand and went in working. There is no germx or anything in the waiting room. Had a TB test, told I could just walk right in, no wait. I am waiting now and someone just spilt coffee and left it. Go somewhere else if you can. I'm just here because this is the closest concerta, and the place my job sent me. Their Physical Therapy Office is great. When they give you appointments you are taken in for your therapy promptly. I cannot say the same for the urgent care! On all occasions of my work comp. follow up I had to wait an average of 50 mins. To an hour just to get to into the examination room. Once there, I had to wait at the least 30 mins. To see the PA or the doctor, then to get the paperwork to walk out, another 10-15 mins. This is the worst wait ever that I have experienced from any urgent care clinic!!! read more

Was told I would have to sit and wait for 3 hours for a pre-employment drug test because the dope behind the counter didn't want to have to call to get an authorization from the employer- who pays concentra , ie ..the customer. I have had the misfortune of having yo use Concentra since 1998 here and there for DOT drug screening and their "crap" business practice has always been "crap", some things never change. read more

I went to the urgent care because I had a chemical go in my eye. First of all I had to wait for 3 hours. Inspite to requesting for a physician they sent a nurse practitioner. People come to see a PHYSICIAN NOT A NURSE PRACTITIONER. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME AND THEY CHARGE AS IF SEEN BY A PHYSICIAN. the nurse practitioner prescribed a drug that's not widely used anymore. I checked Wallgreens, Kroger and other pharmacies. I call them next morning to change the prescription to something that's used current. They said that nurse practitioner is not available and they will ask another nurse practitioner to put in the prescription change and will call me back. I waited for another day still didn't hear anything. Just ended up going to a specialist and having to pay copay once again. What a waste of time, money and energy. When I tell you the service here is TERRIBLE please believe me! I came in for a physical at 2:45 pm on 12/08 my physical didn't start until 4pm the same day. After the blood pressure, height and weight and sight and hearing I was put in a room where I waited for over FORTY FIVE MINUTES. I understand everyone needs to be checked out properly but at what point do you start to make appointments for the following days. UNFORTUNATELY I had to make this happen on my own. They were nice and all , had to get my physical for work, they got my height, weight all that. When they finally put me in a room to wait for the Doctor they told me it would be about 15 minutes , I waited for over an hour!!!! If they were that busy they should at least have a nurse come in and check on the patients and tell them how much longer it will take , this is ridiculous. I've never waiting this long for a doctor. I came in to the location on Ashland ave two days ago for a TB test. Returned two days later but apparently an hour earlier than I was given the TB test and was told I have to wait until the exact time to get it read. It is a negative result and would not change in another hour! Also they did not tell me this when I got it done! I live an hour away and came to this location bc it was open late. Save your time and go to a more professional place that explains things more thoroughly and values your time! read more
