Came here around 11:30am on a Wednesday morning with a severe case of the flu that I caught when I was in New York, to the point I can't speak nor breathe without coughing. I was lucky I could see a doctor on the day I stopped in (I was told that they don't accept appointments, you have to walk in), because I did overhear several patients who were told to return the next day. So much for urgent care. If your schedule is flexible, bring something with you to pass the time, like a book to read. I ended up spending hours here. 11:30am: Walked in and gave my info. They also gave me a face mask because I couldn't stop coughing. I'm glad they had a spare to give to me. 1:30pm: Took about 2 hours before a nurse finally ran a flu and covid test on me. 3:00pm: FINALLY saw a doctor. She was very nice, and gave me prescriptions to pick up at my pharmacy later. 3:19pm: Dismissed and good to go, and given a doctor's note to excuse me from work. I had to do a pre-employement physical here, and I've had some mixed experiences. As recommended by my employer, I schedule an appointment a week in advance for Monday at 10AM. I arrived at 9:50 to check in and the lady had to take my pre-employement physical authorization code back to her manager to ask if they could do the physical today. BUT WHY WOULD YOU SCHEDULE SOMEONE FOR AN APPOINTMENT, if you were not sure if you had the time to do a physical for a employer? Why even contract out if you're too busy to do physicals in the first place? She came back and said they could do the physical today. She said it was a 2-3 hour wait. I asked her about my appointment, and she said it doesn't matter. So if you're doing a pre-employment physical, an appointment won't matter. I asked if I could leave for an hour and come back, and she said no since I also needed to do a drug test for my job. I sat in the waiting room and waited. Surely they'll go in order of whoever arrived first, but nope. Physicals are the lowest priority, so you'll sit there while everyone else gets called back. Including people who arrived hours after you. Bring snacks and something to do. They have a water dispenser and a Keurig with no pods or coffee cups. read more

I was injured on the job, a physically demanding job. The PA-C (physician's assistant) was more focused on repeatedly telling me that, "I cannot put you on 'No Work'" than actual medical help. Apparently, going back to work is more important than working with the patient and the obvious and undeniable pain, which was from a significant spinal injury. The last time I was in, she began berating me, and finished with, I cannot put you on No Work" before I even began speaking. read more

I came in about 12:45pm for a walk-in TB Test and a physical for my job. A nurse/MA named Gabby helped me and let me know that the wait for what I need will be about 1 hour and a half. About an hour rolls by and she calls me back. Gabby was immediately friendly, and kind. She took her time explaining everything to me and took time to hold a conversation for me. She made my experience so nice here. Thank you Gabby & Dr. Sadeghi (he was very kind as well!) I will be back at the specific concentra every time! (Edit after reading reviews) I work in a medical office, 1hr wait is the norm in any clinic, even with an appointment, especially when the clinic offers walk in services. Things happen like other patients appointments running longer than anticipated because of NUMEROUS reasons, or medical equipment not working properly, internet down, etc. Patients need to be HUMBLE. If you're not prepared to clear your schedule for spontaneous wait times, hire a personal physician ‍. You must have patience to work a job, so how come you don't have patience to wait an hour for pre-employment processes? Y'all need to relax abd give health care workers slack. read more

Worst experience ever. I had a required pre-employment physical at this company. (I asked if I could used another company knowing all the bad rumors I've heard about this place, unfortunately they weren't able to accommodate) I called to see if I can make an appointment for pre-employment physical as I had a few months to do so and it wasn't urgent. I was told on the phone that they cannot make appointments for pre-employment physicals. They only accepted walk ins. Ok. Sure. I walked into this location first thing in the morning around 8am. There were a few patient waiting in the lobby already. They told me I can be seen at 1pm. Ok sure. No big deal I live close by. So I went home and did my thing and came back at 1pm. Front desk and MA were nice. They took me back to my room and did my vitals. And that's it. They just left me in the room. No one gave me any updates on how much longer the wait would be. No one came to check on me. I was getting hungry and upset. I had to waved someone down for water. The staff would just stare at me as I tried to get their attention and walk on by to ignore me. Seriously?!!? I get that doctors run behind and there are more urgent issues to see than an pre-employment physical. But come on.... give me the courtesy to update me at the very least! They didn't see me until 4pm. The doctor that saw me was nice. She was thorough in her exam. She gave me the paperwork I needed. I hope that I never have to come back to this place again! The front desk seemed organized and of course, you have to sign a lot of papers. Expect that! This was a Friday morning I might add and there was, at least, 15 people ahead of me but they were probably for doctor visits. I was scheduled for physical therapy before they even knew what was wrong with me. I scheduled my therapy with them and when they called to confirm it wasn't even the days I had scheduled. When I confirmed the dates and we had everything the same I received a message that I had missed my appointment. I called and again he answered and was rude. They have no idea what is going on I have to repeat myself every time I go there and I see the same person every time. They either don't read their own notes or don't write them down. My boyfriend was injured at home and needed stitches, we called here to check on the wait and we're told he could be seen upon arrival. We got there checked in and waited 2 hours before finally being called back. He needed a total of 5 stitches and 2 shots - this process took 3.5 HOURS most of the time he was in the patient room in pain waiting to be seen... WHY take someone in and leave them waiting alone with an injury for such an excessive amount of time? Due to them taking so long we were there after hours (closes at 5pm we were still there at 6:30) at 5 we were asked to make payment before the service was completed as they were shutting their systems down, I mean I guess? We were then told he needed to return in 1 week to remove the stitches but they weren't able to make an appointment as the systems were already shut down. Now a week later we are calling to remove the stitches and are being told it was a single urgent care appointment and we need to see our physician to remove them; IF WE HAD INSURANCE WE Wouldn't HAVE CAME TO THIS PLACE WITH 1 STAR AND SHITTY SERVICE, we specifically mentioned there was no medical insurance and everything would be paid out of pocket which they collected prior to the service ending and now don't want to complete the job... We were very specific that we did not have insurance or a physician in which we were told they'd remove the stitches since they were the ones that put them in, now they went to wipe their hands clean of it and not finish the service they started. Such a waste of money and time, next time I'll pay a little extra and go to a more qualified location. I wouldn't even trust the physicians here after he experience we've had. They tell you one thing and it's the complete opposite. Avoid this place at all costs. I was told to go to this place by my insurance company saying they were contracted with them. However, when I got there and tried to sign in, the manager on duty, Ruby V, told me I needed pre-authorization from my insurance. I told her that was incorrect information and showed a paragraph on my insurance plan's website in black and white saying I did NOT in fact need pre-authorization to be seen. She then told me that MY insurance had sent her an email one MONTH ago, saying the policy had changed. I then asked why the website information hadn't been updated since it happened a month ago. She said she had no idea. I then called my insurance and talked to a customer service rep who confirmed that I, and the website information was correct, NO pre-authorization was needed to be seen there. Ruby then insisted on talking to the customer service rep who told her the same thing he told me. She asked for his name, noted it on my chart, then hung up. She did not apologize to me for having the information wrong and making me jump through all the hoops she did. Nope. Not a word of apology of any kind. I was assigned by Neighborhood Healthcare Clinic for a pre-employment physical at the Concentra Urgent Care. I went to the Concentra Urgent Care in Mission Valley. There I presented the Physician with copies of my 2019 Scripps QuantiFERON TB, a copy of my TB Skin Test, CT Scan of the Chest/Abdomen/Pelvis, and a Chest X-Ray. I also presented to him my immunizations. The Physician stated that these copies and results were all he needed to clear me and that I did not have to repeat my tests or Chest X-Ray. He took notes, but did not take copies. Three times I asked the Physician and the Receptionist if they needed copies. The Physician declined 3 times to accept the copies, as did the Receptionist. I am an RN and know that Occupational Medicine at other facilities take copies for their records to clear a future employee. Two weeks later, Human Resources at the clinic I was to start work at on 09/09/2024, did not receive the clearance from the Physician. I explained to Human Resources the issue I encountered at Concentra. Human Resources attempted to contact Concentra, but did not notify me as to the results. I had to repeat a Chest X-Ray at a Concentra facility that had radiology services. When I arrived and signed in, 15 minutes later, the Receptionist advised me that they needed proof of the positive QuantiFERON TB test or the positive skin test. I explained that the Concentra Urgent Care in Mission Valley refused the copies of my tests. Now I must repeat the chest X-Ray, and my employment start date was delayed due to the inefficiency, carelessness, and unprofessionalism of the Concentra staff and organization. I strongly believe that any company utilizing Concentra for pre-employment physicals should reconsider their choice. Concentra dropped the ball and caused me great anxiety and anguish for the delayed hiring start date. I would not rate Concentra a 1 Star. But, the review would not allow a "0." read more

I am an employer. We sent our candidate for Pre-placement non dot drug test. After almost a week, there is no status no result all I see is the visit date and time. I have been calling this facility for update for the last 2 days, but no one picks up the phone. I tried all options just to be able to talk to a live person. The phone keeps on ringing forever. Waited more than 3 hours to see a doctor. No appointment allowed for the 1st workers comp visit. The doctor finally came in and told me that I waited this long because the staff didn't assign my file to her. Then the doctor finally saw me. She always tried to finish my sentences most of the time. I felt like she's not listening at all. I kept telling her that physical therapy hasn't done much for my issue in the past but she kept saying that she is going to get authorization for PT. Speechless... The wait is longer than DMV...
