This is a terrible business, and I strongly recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere. I scheduled a service consultation in July with the receptionist, who booked me for Monday, August 10th. She explained that the owner/mechanic would contact me beforehand with an estimate in order to finalize the appointment. Instead, I received no call until the day of my appointment, when I was told they were canceling because my phone number had apparently been written down incorrectly and they were unable to reach me. I immediately explained that my vehicle repair was urgent and that I still wanted to proceed with the inspection. Considering the error was on their end, I should have been accommodated rather than being turned away. I was told they could not accommodate me that day but that they would call me back to schedule me sometime that same week. They never called. I left several voicemails throughout the week and received absolutely no response. I ultimately received an estimate today--after already spending approximately $600 on rental car expenses as a result of this situation. The lack of communication and follow-through is completely unacceptable. I clearly communicated how urgent the repair was, yet my concerns were met with a nonchalant attitude and no meaningful effort to resolve the situation. Their mistake resulted in additional expenses for me, and rather than taking responsibility and making an effort to accommodate me, they simply left me waiting. After speaking with John, I specifically asked to speak directly with the owner, Will, so I could address my concerns. I was not allowed to speak with him. If a customer has a legitimate concern about how their appointment was handled and requests to speak with the owner, refusing to even allow that conversation is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. A business can make mistakes, but how they handle those mistakes says a lot about their professionalism. In this case, there was no accountability, urgency, or consideration for the customer. I should not have been left responsible for hundreds of dollars in additional expenses because of an error made by the business. If you are a single mother, living on a tight budget, or simply don't have extra money to throw away, I would strongly advise you to take your vehicle somewhere else. You should not have to absorb hundreds of dollars in unnecessary expenses because a business failed to communicate and properly manage your appointment. I would not recommend this business. Do not bring your vehicle here if you expect reliable communication, accountability, or basic customer service. If you have a foreign vehicle, I recommend looking into Downey Care Center in Downey instead. Their customer service and communication have been significantly better in my experience. I was a huge fan from watching all of their videos, only to be completely disappointed with my first visit to the shop. I went in for an A1 service, and a full vehicle inspection (oil change, tire rotation, and full car inspection with notes). I also added notes when I arrived based on what I experienced with my car on the way there. (vibration at certain speeds/ odd thunk). When I came back, I was told that they did not do the car inspection, and that they drove the car around to try and recreate the notes, but said they didn't hear or feel anything. Christian also realized that they missed something with my car and rushed my car back to the shop cuz they forgot to do the tire rotation. So I had to wait another 20+ minutes after the initial 1.3 hrs. they've had the car. Other than that, no notes about the car's wear & tear, no other notes with feedback on anything else my car may need. We've had the car 6 years and I brought it in for the inspection so I could see what needs done, and save up for it. This shop couldn't even be bothered to give me any other notes about the car. Not even the windshield wipers or suspension which other shops would have been happy to point out. When I pulled away and left, the car's low tire pressure light came on. This was now a huge red flag. I came back asking to see if they checked my tire pressure. They said they didn't cuz I didn't ask for it. This is the most BS thing I've ever heard. I have never had a shop tell me that they don't even check for your pressure, and that I had to ask for it. This also tells me they didn't check any of my fluids cuz they didn't include any info, even tire wear levels in my receipt. I rely on my vehicle for my job, and with my life for safety. When they finally got this tatted guy to come to the car to add air to my tires, he gave me the dirtiest look as he walked past. I was not rude at any point, stayed calm, and asked nicely and politely. I left quietly as soon as he finished adding air to my tires. So yeah, not for me. I was nice, kind, patient, no Karen moments, just polite. They were careless, stand-offish, and dicks to me. I got a lot less for my money, I feel ripped off, and now I have to go to Americas Tire Co. to have them double check my tires before I drive from Irvine to Lake Elsinore and back, something I do for work a few times every week. Don't fall for the hype. William saw me a few times and heard my concerns, but never stepped up to help out. Great show of leadership and customer care there William. I got charged a premium only to do the bare minimum with no care for the customers. Such a disappointment and waste of time and money. read more

Concept 3 was amazing. I went in for a wing install and luckily they also had enough time and the correct filter in stock for an oil change. Manny was extremely knowledgeable. While I was there, I met a nice couple who came in for issues with their G35 and Concept 3 was able to immediately diagnose the issue. There was no attempt at upselling anything, just a clear and concise explanation and with a great money saving recommendation. I am definitely a customer for life. Amazing Shop!! I have a 2015 Lexus that I am sick of taking to the dealership because they charge insane prices and I always feel like they're trying to sell me on stuff I don't actually need. I took a chance with this shop because I figured even if I saved a couple hundred dollars, I know that they wouldn't lie to me and say I needed work I didn't really need to get done at the moment. And sure enough they did an excellent service for 75,000 miles and let me know what I would probably need in the future. Didn't try to upsell me anything and they looked for anything that may be a potential problem in the future that I'm not currently experiencing problems with and that alone is worth its weight in gold. The shop is spotless. I have never seen a mechanical shop so pristine. They also run on schedule. Shut up for my appointment and within five minutes my car was in the shop being serviced. I will forever take my cars to the shop. I would rather pay local businesses than the dealership any day. read more

I brought my car in for a vehicle inspection. They inspected it. However, it has been over one month & Concept 3 did not email or text me what they found wrong with my vehicle. This is absurd, unprofessional & lacking as a business. I brought my vehicle in to see if something is wrong. What if something happened to me & my car while driving that I am not aware of because they have not informed me? I am still waiting for that vehicle inspection. I do not recommend them. They should be writing up the inspection before the customer leaves their business, not empty handed after paying for the service! They are in over their heads.. poor management, poor customer communication & foul language on their social videos.. I am sorry to say even if they are outstanding car mechanics receiving awards, it is an unprofessional business establishment. Update: So same day that I wrote this review, Mr. William Chang says on Instagram, "And for the F*****g B***h A*s person we did a vehicle inspection that left me a one star yelp, you're a lying sack of S**t that after doing a recommended vehicle inspection, you have a whole list of F****n recommendations. I had been struggling to pinpoint a rattling issue in my vehicle, and it turned out to be a failed rear sway bar links and the pillow ball bearing on the front passenger side air suspension, causing all kinds of noise. Services that I needed was an oil change and air filter change and I had all the parts for the services. It's not a typical oil change and requires more time to perform the service. Some places will not service my SUV but C3P did and didn't overcharge me. A few shops I found wanted to charge me 3 times more than C3P did so I was very thankful for that. These guys are amazing. Came in for a vehicle inspection due to my mustang had a rattle noise underneath that was driving me nuts. After months, finally concept 3 determined the issue and my exhaust hanger broke ans shifted the axel back exhaust about an inch back that was causing the rattle. They realigned the exhaust to fix the rattle. I just had to go to an exhaust shop to fix the broken welds. An absolute clown show of a business. The owner sold me on new tires with their "warranty" stating "yeah if you ever have an issue just give us a call and we'll replace it"... Fast forward to me having an issue, and they start to ghost me. Several calls where the salty owner says "please listen carefully because apparently nobody does" on the voicemail, asking you to NOT leave a voicemail and to send a text. Over the next month and a half I proceed to send multiple texts and emails. All with no response. Not until I say "if I don't hear back I will just come in on Monday" do they respond. So clearly they are seeing these messages. They then try to get out of replacing the tire under warranty in multiple ways. "Oh it's over a year, so you only get 50% covered"...yeah because you haven't responded to me... "Oh you tried to get it fixed elsewhere so that voids the warranty"...yeah because you haven't responded to me" They then say they will help me and to come in on Monday at 10:30. I come in on Monday at 10:30 and the little kid at the front comes at me extremely rude and they try another game..."oh you don't have this piece of paper with the phone number on it you're supposed to call? Whats the point of this piece of paper if you're not going to read it?" Whats the point of having a phone, asking people to text you, having an email address or even a business if you're not going to respond to your customers? I had enough of their bullshit so I'm putting in a claim with my credit card company and getting my tire elsewhere. These clowns are more interested in being Tik Tok stars than being solid business owners. The little kid at the front just complains about having 200 messages to every customer who comes in stating they can't get ahold of anyone.Want to see how professional they are? Beyond mad. Had a e85 fuel pump installed and after a year I was dead on the freeway... had it towed to a mechanic and they said it was my fuel pump. Had it switched back to OEM and kept my busted one so I can see what happened. I look at the wiring of my fuel pump and some amateur wired them and it's beyond me why they would do it like that. Whoever did it just twisted the wires together and then used solder wire splicers which made it have sharp edges and caused a tear in it, so it was exposed in my tank to the wiring which could have been bad. I literally had to cut the exposed wiring out because it was a little burnt looking, cut it down to fresh exposed wire and used the correct/ better water proof splicers and re-installed and it's working again. If you're going to solder them together keep wires straight and not in 90 degrees angles. How did he even get the splicer to do that? I know Will would have noticed this but this was terrible install. read more

I wanted to like this place. It was highly recommended, and I saw from their social media that the owner seems honest and transparent. But I cannot recommend it as my experience could have been better. 1. When you call, there is no voicemail; they ask you to text them, and then they will call you back. 2. When you do text, be prepared not to hear back. 3. When you call, be prepared not to avoid having them answer the phone. 4. Once you hear back, be prepared to be ignored or ghosted until you reach out again. 5. Be prepared never to have your issue addressed or even bring in your car. Day one: After multiple calls, I was able to speak to someone and explain my issue. They said they would call me back, but they never did. I had to call them again and was told to text them my issue with documentation. I did that and was told I would get a call, but the call never came. Day Two: No call or text. I called multiple times, and there was no answer. Day three: No call or text. I texted them to say I was going to take my business elsewhere. Finally, I got a text to apologize, but nothing about my issue, whether they would work on my car, or even a courtesy call. I cannot recommend it as they never allowed me to have my car worked on or even looked at. I can say that whoever handles their communication may ignore you, may never get back to you, and you may have a hard time speaking to an actual person, on top of never getting the opportunity to take your car, at least to have it looked at. read more

Concept 3 has been great for me. Been here four times now with my 2015 Subaru WRX. Oil changes, R1 front and rear brake kit, stainless steel brake lines, brake flush, CSF radiator, upper and lower radiator hoses, stage 1+ (Cobb), turbo inlet, rear differential carrier, rear differential lockdown kit, driveshaft lockdown kit, front and rear sway bars and end links, and lowering springs work and installation have been done here. Would 100% recommend this place. Have had interactions with William, Manny, and Goose at the front desk and they have all been professional and courteous. Never had an issue with contacting or setting up an appointment, but I don't really need to call or text someone a lot either. I normally have to wait for my car to be done and have seen their interactions with others. They have been transparent and clear about pricing and any issues that the customer needs to be aware of. Even emergency walk-ins were helped.(Broken lca) In fact they advised me that my stock radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced. I will be coming here from now on for service until my car is totaled or unfixable. I do like to keep my cars for a long time though. Last car had 500k+ miles and my first car has 379k miles. I was there when the previous reviewer Nabil was there. I heard Goose explain that he would have to contact the warranty company for the tire and that since Nabil took the tire to get fixed at a possible non-authorized location he may have voided the warranty. This is normal practice/policy for any warranty. But if he got the tire fixed, why is he trying to warranty it? I mean you mod your car, you voided your warranty. A lot of things Nabil said in the waiting room and posted on Yelp are uncalled for, but that is just how people are. From the front desk staff who was always kind always keeping you informed and very helpful it was easy from the beginning to get the information you need. I took my 2020 Mustang here due to a check engine light regarding the fuel filter, calling the dealer they were going in circles and stating they could see all these issues on their end. I called here they told me what to do took it in they said it would be one part it was and that was it. No engine misfire and everything else the dealer was already stating before even seeing my car. Amazing! My truck was also picked by Will as part of a community give back and I'm so grateful because he fixed my E-Brake, my ABS system and my A/C free of charge and I can't believe anyone now a days would do even a single thing of those for free. I'm a convert, this is probably going to be the only place I'll trust to eff around with my car because they keep it real AND they look out for you. No frills, no scams, no bullshit. Plus their social media content is golden. 100/10 Initially brought the car in for a second opinion, my usual mechanic tried convincing me that my timing chain was leaking (wtf) Turns out the car needed a tune up and a couple parts replaced. I went from expecting to pay $3600 with the other mechanic to paying $600-700 for the necessary work, no timing chain replacement required. Car is driving fine. Will explained succinctly what was done, what was needed, and found a couple parts for cheaper than they quoted me. So yea, I'll be back if/when the car starts acting up. read more

The guys over at concept 3 are amazing! Quick and efficient! I Called around to have my OEM TPMS sensors replaced and programmed (I provided my own parts) on my WRX. (NOTE: I live in DTLA) Every where I called either didn't have the tool to program the oem TPMS or didn't work on tires all together. And before people go crazy... no I don't trust America's tires or Costco. After about a day of calling independent shops with good ratings I was fed up. I actually called Subaru in Santa Monica... they were trying to charge me almost $1200 to program and replace my sensors... THESE GUYS WERE SMOKING D*CK. Finally, I decided to reach out to concept 3. They were definitely farther than what I wanted to travel for a simple service but it was 1000% worth the drive. I reach out via text (awesome way to communicate btw) and was quoted 1/10 of Subaru's price.... F*CKING 1/10 of the price!! They were able to take me in the next day. As I pulled up to the shop I was greeted by friendly staff in the office. They Took my car in (sorry for being late guys) right away. Service was done in roughly 30 mins. No frills no bullshit. I paid what I was quoted... not a penny more. 23/10 would recommend this performance shop to anyone that needs QUAILY work done to their vehicle. This is the biggest mess of neglect, absolute 0 care and utter disregard of responsibility. I brought them 3 of my cars, and they managed to create problems with all of them. "We work on all cars upon request" is the biggest bs lie I've ever heard from any shop, because based on the work they did for me, monkeys with wrenches would have done a better and higher quality job. I brought them my Ford for timing belt service. They managed to damage crank pulley, and it was backordered from Ford so the car was stuck at the shop. Oh well, what can they do, so I wasn't mad or upset, I understood the situation. Then I finally bought the needed part (1.5 months later) and brought it to them. I was told the work needed is like 30 mins tops. A week goes by, nothing. I follow up and they don't have an ETA. Okay, I will wait a bit more. Overall it took them almost 3 weeks after I brought the part to finally finish my car. Apparently there were some issues with the tech who worked on it, but it really shouldn't be my problem, why do I need to wait 3 weeks to get my car fixed AFTER you had everything needed on hands? Then they release the car back to me, I pop the hood and there coolant expansion tank is bone dry. How the hell do you release the car back to the customer with no coolant in it?! Absolutely outrageous. Then the issue started with one of the rear shock making noise, squeaking high pitch during driving. I had to drive back and forth to them to get it resolved. It took them 3 tries to fix it. Every time they were simply guessing what it could be (swapping the shock left to right, cleaning the dust shield, etc.) - they spent absolutely 0 time actually trying to diagnose the problem. And then the alignment that also took 2 tries to get done right. Then I brought them Civic. They did some engine work and rear brakes. Shortly after the brakes started making a horrible high pitch noise while driving and not using the brakes. I go back, they tell me it's the coating, drive more. Fine, drove more, same issue. I go back again. Some random drunk as hell dude (Will's friend I guess) rides with me in the car explaining how sport brakes will make noise. Except the brakes that were installed are ECO version. Also who the hell let's his drunk friends interact with customers?! Unacceptable on so many levels. I drive more, same noise. I go back 3rd time. They swap pads left to right, making the noise even worse. I pressed up to change brakes under warranty. They finally did after a month of back and forth. And what do you know? The noise is back with new brakes. Clearly they have no idea what they were doing, because after brake inspection at a local tire shop revealed the brakes were installed incorrectly. This places swaps motors, but can't install a set of brakes correctly?! Wth is this?! I have reasons to suspect it was done un purpose, because there is no way to make the same mistake twice in a row. Then I brought them my BMW for thermostat replacement. They did it, CEL went away only to return 4 days later. I contacted them, brought the car back in, they scanned the ECU, did not do any inspection or investigation, and told me it's probably sensor, or wiring. I asked them to get the quote so I can get it fixed, because I needed to register the car, and needed to pass SMOG. he quote never came. I went to a local BMW shop who scanned the car extensively, and told me everything points back to bad thermostat. I go back to Concept Lame, and they told me it's not thermostat, it's sensor, or wire, or whatever. Time was running out, the quote never came because they are too busy making stupid videos instead of actually working with customers, I brought my car to a local BMW shop. They replaced tstat, and what do you know? It fixed the problem. I brought they tstat that was taken out of my car back to Concept Lame and asked for refund on part cost, I will eat the labor cost. Months of excuses "oh we gotta contact Wordpac to process warranty" and "oh we haven't heard back from them" - today I was told that because I took my car somewhere else the warranty is denied, and there is nothing they can do. And they said someone else told me that before. Well that was absolute news to me. So you just kick me around for 5 freaking months just to tell me the warranty is denied?! So I paid for service that didn't fix the problem, got defective part installed, I was refused a quote on further repairs, nobody did any inspection, I was lied to with waiting excuses, and now I have to just suck up the cost and forget about it?! Hell nah! These guys are absolute crooks! I wasted so much gas, time and money going back and forth. How do you manage to mess up 3 different cars from 3 different brands?! How I haven't reviewed this place since I been going to Will since I started modifying my Genesis is beyond me. I've been going to his spot since he was off Imperial. (Edit: I did review, and then years nothing has changed. Still great service, but continue if you wanna hear me gas them up!) They're one of the best shops in the area, that while they specialize in the KDM scene, will just about work on any car. So if you have some work to be done: brakes, tune up, aftermarket parts, modifications, oil changes, whatever you may need, they got you. I really can't say much more than I trust everyone here with my Car, and I'll be going here for as long as I drive my cars. I live in Irvine, but will always make the 30 minute drive to have Will and his crew work on my car. Horrible at picking up the phone. After days a girl picked up and quoted me $280 for a brake fluid flush. I ended up doing it myself.

I would like to start of by saying this shop was everything I've been looking for when it comes to honesty price and time. Made an appointment and the process was so easy and very friendly they worked on my 2014 bmw 650i installed a dp on it and they got it done within a day amazing!! Found concept3 from @xnday and I was amazed by their work and attention to detail. Their instagram/tiktok videos are funny and show a customer stating a problem and them fixing it. Will runs a well built/structured business that makes it easy for customers to have their cars fixed. Rating 5 stars for great communication, pricing and speed. They were able to find why car kept misfiring and throwing weird codes. Ending up being a vaccum line. Found out my alternator was giving out and got it rebuilt within 1 day. I'm definitely coming back for more work on my other cars and recommending them to anyone in search of a reputable shop! read more

Took my 8th gen Honda Civic Si for an A/C diagnostic. I know they don't specialize in Hondas but they had good prices and I enjoyed their content. Had to change my A/C compressor, they charged a reasonable price and allowed me to use my own sourced part. Overall great experience, great prices and great services! Would recommend and I would trust this shop to do future repairs on cars when I'm in the area. read more
