Arrived at Logan at American terminal. After getting my luggage, I headed out to pick up bus. Could not find pickup location as I was on on further side of terminal. So, called the 800 number to get clarification as to exactly where to wait for bus. They could not tell me so instead of hauling all my stuff to the other side of terminal, I decided to wait where I was and to flag the bus if needed. The bus arrived, stopped at the further end of the terminal to pick up passengers. When he took off again, I flagged to have the bus pick me up. The driver was having none of and it looked like he was going to head out without me. When he did stop, he was rude and argued with me, even though I had called their office for help. No one should be abused like that. Poor service at best. I will contact their main office to voice my concern. read more

Had a 17 year old daughter en route and talked to the customer service agents throughout the day about her arriving up to a few minutes late and they seemed willing to help. I was told that the bus usually runs a little late and that they would talk to the driver to let them know she is on the way and should be there. She arrived at the last minute and started walking up to the bus just to have it pull away right in front of her. So my 17 year old was stranded in Concord, NH and the evening agents at Concord Coach lines were less than apologetic stating "we are not allowed to ask the driver to wait for anyone!" Wow, so are you serving people or what? I've had a plane to Ireland held up for a person. C'mon! Ended up having to pay 150 to drive her to where she needed to be...that, or be stranded in Concord in a bus station that closes at 10. This was the most ridiculous/horrible customer service I have ever experienced. Screw this business. read more

I have taken Concord Coach Lines to and from Boston/Bangor for nearly a decade. Their service is reliable, their buses are clean, and their staff are always friendly. Even during the busy holiday travel season they will greet you with a smile and get you to wherever you're going. Great example of how a business should be run, I hope they will continue expanding their offerings (they now go to NYC!). read more

I have taken Concord Coach busses for years between Portland and Logan or Boston, and it is always a good experience: comfortable, safe, punctual, a good value. Parking is usually easy at the Portland Transportation Center (except at peak times, like school vacations or holiday weekends) and is reasonably priced. This winter I have taken Concord Coach Plus twice from between Portland to NYC, and it is a fantastic service -- there's absolutely no better, more comfortable, more efficient way to get to the heart of Manhattan. Also, a shout out for Concord Coach's customer service, from the drivers to the staff in the main office -- they are polite and put the customer first. read more

Clean, courteous, comfortable and lovely. Imagine arriving to a clean bus station in Portland, boarding on time and being offered a bag of pretzels and a bottle of water from a friendly face as you board. Even though the buses heading south to Boston were incredibly packed, a woman ran into the station with barely a minute to spare and the friendly customer service rep held the door and urged the driver to stay as she ran across the terminal. This is not the service one could ever expect with other buslines (Megabus, Greyhound, Adirondack Trailways). The leather seats were clean and spacious on my trip to Camden, ME. In spite of being a holiday week, we arrived to the minute on time to every scenic coastal stop along the way. This was a remarkably pleasant experience. My return trip was a bit late due to traffic, but it was too be expected on a Friday afternoon with everyone scrambling to the coast. When I arrived to the Portland Jetport and learned all flights were cancelled for the night, I found myself back at the bus station boarding a bus to Boston. Although this bus was not as new and the wifi was spotty, the driver was great and we managed to arrive a few minutes early to South Station (a true wonder considering it was rush hour on a Friday). I wish all bus companies emulated Concord Coach Lines. Only reason I detracted a star is for the dirty seats on the bus to Boston (someone had a bit too much fun with the free pretzels). Also, the price is really reasonable. read more

Consistently the most enjoyable travel experience. The drivers are extremely friendly, buses are in excellent condition with all the amenities you would expect (movies, power outlets, and very comfortable seats). Also the price is unbeatable for the routes they travel. Never ever take greyhound when concord is an option, in fact never take greyhound period. read more

Yesterday November 16th I rode with Concord on a trip from NY to Portland. The conditions were difficult with heavy rain and wind mixing with heavy traffic snarling the masses leaving Our driver and codriver were professional courtious and polite. An ambulance flew by and caused a driver to instantly swerve into the open space in front of the bus and slowed. Our driver was able to avoid any contact with anyone while maintaining perfect control.This was no small feat considering the size of this vehicle.This was a first ride for me,Not the last. I've been taking this bus for 25 years from Boston to the lakes region in NH. It's an easy, comfortable, dependable ride. Even with the weirdos. Get yourself a sandwich at South Station, a drink, and a paper and enjoy the ride. If you bring a laptop there are elect. outlets at some seats. The drivers are excellent, most know shortcuts when traffic is heavy. All that I'm familiar with (one used to work at a psych ward, so you are in good hands) have been on the job for years, which is a good sign. At Concord you can get off and help yourself to a free cup of coffee. Some of the drivers think they're working night clubs in the Catskills. AND TURN OFF THOSE CELL PHONES! read more

Three years ago I rode the coach from Logan airport to Pinkham Notch to avoid renting a car. My wife was flying in two days later. Big mistake. The bus was relatively clean but the seats were not at all comfortable for a four hour ride. Poorly padded and crammed together. No cell phone use ? Really ? And the WiFi never worked ? But the big problem was the driver. Think prison guard / drill sergeant / Middle school principal. He was rude and abrasive. I am no pansy, I have worked construction and I have worked in prisons so I know whereof I speak. Then, when we reach PN all of a sudden he is sooo friendly and helpful ! He wanted a tip ! Not !! I killed him with return kindness and smiles and walked away into the night. I realize this guy has been fired by now but they hired him in the first place and probably hired someone just like him for a replacement. Lesson : Ride CC if you must, but you have been warned ! read more

Clean buses and professional drivers, air conditioning and crappy movies, free pretzels and water, got me from point A to point B in one piece... BUT, I have one major issue with Concord Coach Lines. Their arrival/departure times are an absolute JOKE. In their timetables, they do not account AT ALL for stoppage time at each station, where it took a minimum of five minutes for them to load the luggage and passengers at each stop. As the bus continued, it fell more and more behind schedule. This happened both on my trip from Boston to Maine and the trip back. I was 45 minutes late in both directions and as a result, missed my connecting bus in Boston. If Concord provided REALISTIC timetables, I most certainly would have booked a later bus in Boston rather than waste money on an extra ticket. The driver said "Look at all the people and bags" as if that were an excuse for being behind schedule. Isn't that part of running a bus line?? If you look at the schedules, it shows the bus arriving and departing the stops at the same time, which is simply a joke. Recommended, but only if you don't mind adding an hour to your trip. read more
