When I came in, I knew this was a get *bleep* up depot. All the smoke paraphernalia you can ask for. Hard to soft alcohol and a take out corner for the munchies. Even if you were tipsy walking into the place. Everything is easy enough for any drunkard or stoner, to find their tools of the trade. The fellows are quite hospitable and engage in good convo. Doesn't feel at all like a "buy your *bleep* and go" type of place. A 5 minute walk away from the hotel. Its a perfect spot, in a area that looks desolate.

I was able to get my bottles of Eagle Rare 10 year and Buffalo trace bourbons here where it is almost impossible to find in most of the Liquor stores in the greater Metro Detroit area. I was also able to special order the Appleton 21 year rum here which I had been unsuccessfully trying to get for over a year. This is a very tough one get even nationally. Big Kudo's here for Sylvan Liquor for taking care of me on this one. This is a family run business where they are so friendly and helpful and clearly have made customer satisfaction a priority. No gruff unfriendly folks here only smiling happy faces where they are ready and willing to help you find the perfect liquor for you and if they dont have it, will special order it for you upon request. This has become my local go to liquor shop and have well earned my loyalty where if you are in the area and like all things liquor than you need to check this business out!. Five stars +++

Plus Vikings Blood is 30 plus dollars no matter where you look and same goes for here. Anyways they have all kinds of alcohol and the stacks of bottles up to the ceiling, it gives a cool vintage look, fitting for it's history. You have to ask for a receipt and the screen facing the customer never works. Yesterday, the guy over charged me the first time, I caught it by asking him for the price. Then he changed it. After I got the receipt that I requested, I found another overcharge and went back. They never dispute the claim, I'm certain that they are aware. Each overcharge was approximately .25, but if they do that to every customer, they are cleaning up! This behavior has gone on for quite a while. The only person you can trust in the store is Kelly, the Lottery clerk. Best Practice: Verify the price vs the charge, ask for a receipt, and check that receipt!!! Unethical Behavior!!!
