I recently moved out but before I go I wanted to make sure I gave a HUGE shout out to Ashley. She is by far the best property manager I've had to deal with. She always took care of my concerns and was extremely nice. I've read some comments about her not replying to their emails. From my experience, that's not how properties communicate. They will speak to you directly, not via text or email. I was really happy here and want to make sure she knows that and don't believe the comments about the roaches ( eye roll ) not ONCE did I see bugs on the grounds let alone inside the building. I've lived at Concord square apts in Reseda since 2019. It's always been nice till 2025. Management isn't good here in regards to my numerous complaints regarding nextdoor neighbor leaving his dog poop baggies near my unit door because his dog is shitting inside his unit. BIG cockroach infestation this year due to filthy renters who leave trash inside their units. So tired of complaining to Ashley (manager) who does little to resolve tenant complaints. Watch out for this place as the management ignores your issues and doesn't want to hear about them. They are nice to you until you sign the lease. This place is full of cockroaches and they run around everywhere you walk even at the barbecue area. They don't spray the common areas and only the units with lots of cockroaches like mine which they couldn't get rid of them either after over two months of spraying weekly. I couldn't even use my kitchen and bathroom cabinets anymore. Also the maintenance guys are not nice if you ask them any questions about the issues in your unit. If you complain to Ashley, the manager, about any issues, whether it is the laundry machines being broken or the neighbors making noise at night, she doesn't want to hear it. She doesn't even look at you when go to her office trying to get her attention! Also if you email her about any issues, she never responds to it. If you ask her new assistant manager about any issues during weekend, she will refer you to Ashley who only works M-F and a lot of times is not in the office. I will never come back to this place. Lived here for over 3 years, the previous manager Elisha and Yoselin was amazing and everything was great before but unfortunately, they hired a new manager, Ashley, whom I know doesn't like and could care less about people who look like me. I was discriminated against, which I won't get into details until it is handled. In addition, the complex started becoming infested with bugs and roaches months after she got here. Before, I would only see crickets, a few spiders and 1 or 2 other bugs here and there but I started seeing A LOT of bugs and roaches around the complex at night to where I became scared to walk the complex at night as I have a fear of insects and I'm OCD. The past couple months, I started seeing bugs around my sink and tiny baby roaches which looked like the bugs were breeding and was quite unlivable for me. I couldn't sleep and was scared to cook because of it. The only thing they did was send a pest guy to spray the place and I'm not sure what he did but it made it worst as flying roaches and bugs came in my apartment and went in my closet. I was PETRIFIED. Even one of my friends visited for a weekend in June and spotted a flying critter, we were both so scared and paranoid as we didn't know what it was. I finally found it in my bathroom sink (Photo attached). I had to spray them with bleach because I can't touch bugs due to my fears. I thought maybe it came from the new neighbor but I don't think they would be transporting flying roaches which means the complex has an infestation that's not being handled. Considering I had a busy schedule between school, work and hobbies, I had always communicated with the prior manager via email or by going to the office in my spare time during office hours with no problem but Ashley is almost never in the office. Apparently she also doesn't know how to communicate effectively via email. She came in and lacked the personable skills to even introduce herself, she didn't inform us of any new policy changes she had that were different than the prior manager. She doesn't even say my name right nor does she care to ask or learn as I've corrected her before when I first met her. She's a terrible community manager overall, they should've just given the job to Yoselin. I rarely ever make any type of reviews unless I'm giving 5 stars but these apartment complex/companies need to learn to hire better human beings in service positions especially in LA housing where we pay so much for you to mess with our livelihood. read more

I just moved in recently and I am so happy and excited. The whole process was so nice and comfortable, especially with the help of the manager, Jonathan. He was honestly so nice and really thorough in explaining everything I had any questions about. He showed that he truly cared for the community and wanted the community to feel the most comfortable here. I was in a rush to try to move out of my last apartment due to roach problems. So for my next apartment, I wanted to make sure that there would be no such problem for my next place, and Jonathan made sure to explain and educate me on how I will have no such problems here. Just from looking around the community, I could already tell I wouldn't have such problems. The grass, pool, bbq area and the building itself looks so clean and entirely well kept. The manager Jonathan kills this nice place. He treats you like he is doing you a favor to ask him how much rent I have to pay instead of doing his job and do the numbers and reply. He makes you wait days to give you the correct bill. Every time my husband asked him for something Jonathan was very rude and unprofessional. Moved into the Concord Square recently. Vanessa from the leasing office really helped us out. She gave us a great tour of the apartment and was very patient in explaining all the important details making me feel comfortable with my choice to move in. She was also very helpful with the move in process. Definitely one of the best leasing agents I've ever interacted with before. After researching places to stay in Los Angeles, I soon found Concord Square Apartments. On the outside, it seems like it is a diamond in the rough. When you move in, you soon will find that it is an awful place to live. And for what you have to deal with, it is way overpriced. When calling for information and getting everything ready, they seem very nice and comforting. You will soon find that they are only kind and helpful when you are a potential tenant. When you are a current tenant, they are rude, unhelpful people. When moving in, I was not able to see the place until I signed my lease agreement. At first, people seemed nice, but soon you will find that the paper thin walls are not good, especially when your neighbors like to play loud music or fornicate constantly. Every time I made a complaint, it was ignored. Even when I needed maintenance to come and fix something, they ignored it. This meant, when I was there, I never had a stove, oven, garbage disposal, or a working air conditioner. It was awful in the summer when my apartment reached over 90°. One of the worst things was when I hand delivered rent checks. They would accept it with a smile. Soon after, I would receive a letter saying that I never paid my rent. This letter came with a nice fee of $75. Speaking of money, in my lease, it said that all I had to pay for is LA Water and Power. I still received bills maintenance that I did not agree to. When I finally moved out, I received 20% of my security deposit. They felt that they needed to renovate the place for the new tenants and they used my money to do it. The apartment was in the same shape when I left it as it was when I moved in. In conclusion, if you want a loud, weed smelling, neglected apartment, then this is the place for you. If you are like most people and want to live in a decent apartment, find someplace else. read more

I lived here from 2007-2009. I have really great memories here! I lived in the studio apartment, great open floor plan! From what I understand, it's still under the same management from then and they are on top of it! You'll be really happy! There's no washer and dryer inside the apartment, but the laundry rooms are open 24 hours and VERY CLEAN! The gym and pool are open until 10pm from what I remember, and also well kept! Personally, my experience was pretty good. I lived here for 13 months and the only complaints I have don't reflect the complex itself. I was working in Woodland Hills, and Concord was a good compromise for commuting and rent (950 at the time). Here are some highlights: - Well maintained. Pool and grounds are cleaned weekly. I hung out by the pool and swam a few times and it was very nice to have especially in the heat. - Nice unit. Mine had new carpet was pretty nice all around. - My neighbors were pretty quiet and I never heard much noise. If your neighbors happen to be loud, then that's too bad because the walls aren't the thickest. But that goes for most apartments. - Assigned parking. I wish it was covered because it gets very hot in the valley, but everyone around me parked respectfully so no complaints here. - Good staff. Jennifer is an angel and will try to help you in away possible. We had 1 issue about a rent check getting lost but it was out of her hands so I'm not going to hold it against her. Victor is the head maintenance person and helped in many times even just with general advice. He's a genuine guy so unless you're rude to him or get off on the wrong foot, he will be your buddy. - Not much to do in the area and you will spend most of your time driving to and from. But the area is safe and relatively quiet. - No bugs! The screen to my patio didn't align perfectly and I knew that might mean trouble for bugs so I just kept the siding door closed at all times. The result was no bugs. There were a few that came out to play when they worked on the apartment above me but nothing major. I saw a giant rat on my patio wall once that gave me a good scare but that again could happen anywhere. - The gym is small but you probably already know that. Get a gym membership or get creative. Check the place out. What you see is what you get. If you decide to go for it, befriend the staff and neighbors. Be positive, and worry about more important things like school or your job. read more

I would have to say compared to the other places in the surrounding areas this place was a gem lol! No lil' bugs greeted us on our walkthrough of the grounds when we came here three years ago. They have a fitness are with a few tvs, weight bench type of fitness machines, eliptical machine, etc., not uber huge but sufficient. The grounds are landscaped well and the staff seems nice, and the folks respond pretty quickly if you need something done in the apartment. Guess that's why we have lived here for so long. read more

Not only it was one of the most worst experience despite the harassment from management , they also scam people without even blinking when they look at you, they will make your move in process as nice as you can imagine with lots of smiles and help and "understanding" but wait that's a trap once you signed you screwed. Wait until you will have to move out I just came back from the court and could not have been happier about results of proof that this people are heartless monsters. They will not return your deposit they will make illegal by California law charges on to you deposit and even court said it today they are not aloud to do that. They have no right to charge you for the repaint unless the damage is exiting wear and tear Those people will take pictures after you move out of the place of every dust you have in the place and I have worked so hard in every corner to clean this place like i have never clean any places in my life, they took a picture of a hole I the wall from hanging a picture they couldn't find any damage so they had to do something, so pathetic of them its unbelievable they took such close picture that even an ant will look like a size of an elephant on that close up , thankfully I have taken videos of very close ups and pictures of the place to proof that this place was left in amazing conditions. People don't think twice take them to court law is on your side as long as you follow the rules of you contract. they will try to undermined you and they will take money from you but don't let this slide, it cost you very little to sue them but you will be proved again that this shit hole is full of scammers who have no idea what is the law they will just not return your deposit with a hope you do nothing about it. To call this place a nightmare is an understatement. Let me break down my complaints: Cockroaches: My apartment was infested with cockroaches the moment I moved in (May). I notified management immediately, and the problem wasn't fixed until December (after four treatments). Each treatment is a long, complicated process of rearranging the stuff in your entire apartment. Unless you put in a few hours of rearranging your stuff, you'll end up with chemicals coating your dishes, pots, pans, computer, etc. Sometimes, the chemicals took multiple days to dry. Crazy Neighbors: The management team leases to people who have issues with mental instability, and they say there is nothing that can be done to stop this. One man doesn't seem to understand the difference between reality and fiction, and yells at himself while walking around the complex at 5am. Another neighbor must be clinically insane. I have had to call the LAPD on her multiple times. The cops were told she is on a multi-year lease, and management has said they will not evict her. Her yelling about every issue imaginable, writing bizarre letters and sliding them under my door, putting a chair at my door to watch what I do, are all beyond awkward. If you live near her, she will document your life and try to follow you. She has obvious mental problems, so talking to her doesn't solve anything. I say she's a stalker but the LAPD has said they can't do anything about it until there is documented proof of her following me. I'm currently in the process of moving out of this apartment and finding a way to document all this even further so she can be arrested and treated for her diseases (hopefully). Maintenance: The maintenance people tend to argue with everything I ask to be fixed. Once, I found my bathroom flooded about a half an inch due to a leaking shower head (water would splash up and away as it hit the hot water handle). When I called maintenance he had the nerve to tell me that's perfectly normal. It took four calls to maintenance and a new maintenance guy to fix it. Turns out, the first guy installed the wrong washers at some point. Other incidents involve them denying that the toilet was broken. I have asked them to allow me to record the conversations (required by CA law), but they said they have been notified by management that they are not allowed to be in an apartment that is recording the conversations. I'll give them one thing: the place looks incredibly nice, and gives a great first impression. Don't be fooled though, because they go cheap on maintenance, management and anything else that you wouldn't be able to notice until you sign a lease. Once you sign the lease, you'll notice there is a high opt-out fee as well as clauses that are designed to make it tough for you to sue them. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Cockroaches and terrible management is bad enough as it is. But living around people who have mental problems is brutal. Be careful, this place is a borderline insane asylum. P.S. I have e-mails, photos, and a recorded conversation that verify my stories. However, I will not post those on the internet until I have moved out. read more

Most apartment complexes jam as many units + a swimming pool into the smallest area possible to maximize profits. Not Concord. The complex is more like a park with buildings throughout. It has a pool, hot tub, gym, laundry, and all the other typical apartment complex amenities, but the real selling point is all the green. There are trees and large areas of grass throughout the complex making this place feel more like a little oasis in a sea of concrete. Is it the cheapest place out there. No. There are sure to be cheaper places that are more mom and pop sort of locations, but part the reason you come here is because of the incredibly organized professional feel you get from the staff and owners. If you're living in the Reseda area, or are going to school at CSUN this place is worth checking out. read more

Concord Square Associates LLC will not return you deposit, this company or the managers they find any reason to charge and make deductions from the deposit. ​ I move in to Concord Square apts on Sep 2017 and moved out on Dec 2018 and I had the worst experience by trying to get my deposit back from this company, from $700.00 they send me a check for $235.00​ I left the unit super clean after expending 3 hours of my time cleaning up I invest $100.00 to get the carpet professional clean, this is a 400 s/f studio unit and I left this unit in 95% in move in conditions. ​ ​ On December 30, 2018 the manager at Concord Square fail to show up to the appointment to do the final inspection of the unit, I suppose to return the key the same day and I end returning the key on the January 2, 2019 because the office was closed for the holidays, event tho I explained to the manager by the name Jonathan Usher he didn't care about my explanation why I returned the key two days later, his answer was when the tenants return the key is when the office take possession of the unit. ​ In the statement they are charging me for two days of rent for the amount of $98.00 ​ also $95 to clean up the apartment, shampoo the carpet and other charges to fix small holes from picture frames in to the walls, and full paint the unit etc. the only valid charges was my utilities for $154.00 bottom line my refund from $700.00 I only got $235.00 ​ ​ In my opinion this people are very dishonest and don't care for others money, I worked very hard to put the money together to move in to the nightmare place in Reseda. Concord Square they call there self a PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT COMPANY the way they treat the customer is very unprofessional by not resolving any matters and not returning phone call I will give not even 1/2 of star to the company and good luck if you make the decision to move in to this apartment complex and said good bye to your deposit. I just spoke with a lady at the corporate office who pretty much showed no signs of work ethic and customer care. She began to get defensive and accusing me of complaining about the manager simply because I was unhappy about not getting all of my deposit back. Which by the way, is no where to be seen. The actual apartment was nice and clean with a decent sized window and a bar counter. My studio didn't actually have a patio or dishwasher as advertised tho, and considering the rent (almost $1300!) I don't think I can overlook it. The courtyard is beautiful. They really put a lot of work into making the complex look and feel like a little suburban oasis. The problem is the neighborhood couldn't be further from the definition of "oasis". For the people who said the neighborhood was safe...bish where?! There was a shooting death merely a few blocks away last week, and the month before there was a woman who was shot 7 times while in her car!! Don't be fooled by the big palm trees and clean streets, this neighborhood is definitely gang infested. All in all I don't think this apartment is worth the price for what you're getting. I see that not even 2 years ago rent was around $1000. $1000 is still a stretch for this neighborhood but I would have bumped it up to 4 stars if that were the case. The fact that they are asking for $1260 utilities NOT included is just a straight up rip off. You can find similar apartments in much safer areas that offer entertainment options like Sherman Oaks, Valley Village, and North Hollywood! Again, the apartment and the gaited community are cute, just not $1300 cute. read more

I lived there over 2 years ago and had horrible experience. The framing structure of the building is constructed without noise proofing. The entire structure rattles when someone slams their door. The sounds are very easily transferred from top to bottom or bottom to top. When I left, I handed them my apartment in the best condition possible but they only provided very little refund. They said they had to use my security deposit to paint all the walls!!! The walls looked fine to me. No markings as far as I was concerned but they said is just standard procedure and they had to use my security deposit. I would not recommend living there. read more

I absolutely love living here! I used to live here from 2006 to 2011. I moved out to relocate and cried saying goodbye to the staff here! when I moved back to the area in 2013 I did look for other apartments yet I ended up at Concord. Why? Because the staff is the best. I love my place - it is small and maybe a bit overpriced since studios and one bedrooms are small but I do believe you pay for a great service too. Every time there is an issue in the apartment (which is rare) they take care of it the same day. They keep the place clean and well maintained. The pool area is nice and quiet - you can go and won't be overwhelmed by screaming kids. There is a sauna that I rarely use but the few times I did it was like my private one. Downsides are very few and not a deal breaker for me: gym is small and old equipment but it saves money for who is not a hard core gym fanatic and parking I wish it was covered (can't really do anything about this one). Elisha - the manager - is wonderful!!! Victor - maintenance - is the best! Marcos works in the office and he is delightful to deal with. If I could buy my place here I would!
