I had a routine maintenance appointment between 2 and 4 today (8/31/2023) and received a voice message at 11:18 that the technician was at my door and no answer. I was gone. I called back and was told a technician would be back to perform the service today. I just called back and was told no service today. This is the second time this has happened. Two year member with an account in their service plan. The one time that my Central Air Conditioner breaks down on a hot Sunday morning the dispatcher named "Izzy" tells me the soonest that they can come out for emergency service is two days away. I asked what about the promised 24/7 emergency service which is why I signed up and paid for the yearly maintenance plan. I was told nothing they can do and to just wait two days. I canceled my plan and will never use this company again. Many better options in Naples to go with. read more

Not sure if refund can be put on card - may have to get a check. Wonder how long that will take! Do not recommend. It's now 5/19. I just learned my "check" will be mailed out 5/27. So ... they were paid for labor ($399) BEFORE the job was done (which we didn't need--misdiagnosed). They charged my credit card immediately at my home on 5/6. When we cancelled this work due to ac worked once cut off switch outside was plugged back in, we were told they aren't able to credit the $399 back to my credit card (labor not ever done). I have to wait for a check. And they only send checks out once a month. So...they make an error - I pay for work before completed and I have to wait a month for a refund. You decide if this is good business and a company you want to deal with. No thank you! read more

Drain line clogged on my A/C. Called Conditioned Air. They said that the price was the same whether they came during the week or on the weekend, so I had them come the next day (Sunday). The guy did clean the drain line. He was there about 40 minutes. The bill was $480!!!! Note that was with no parts, just trip fee and labor. Obviously I got gouged. You have been warned. read more

The technician arrived 3 hours after the scheduled time of our appointment. The first thing he said when he walked in the door was "This call is $200 without doing anything for you". When we told him that the problem was the condensation drain was clogged and all he had to do was clean it he told us we could do it ourself and to get out our wet vac. We don't own a wet vac and told him to please clean it. We had been without air conditioning for 5 days and at this point and the heat index was 105-115 all week. He didn't really want to do it, but told us it would be another $200 to clean it. He reluctently did it and within 40 mintues of arriving he gave us a bill for $413. I will NEVER ever use this company again! The last air-conditioning company I had come for a service call charged me $79 for the diagonistic, not $200. They are taking advantage of customers during a very hot and stressful time. read more

We pay this company $225 in advance for two maintenance call outs. During the last two years or so everything has worked just fine. They come out when needed and unclog the air conditioner drain and deduct half of the $225 we pay up front. this last time however on April 11th they unclogged the drain and demanded $320, despite the past practice and that we had already paid. They intimidated my handicapped daughter into handing over $320 from her credit card. I have not been able to reach the supervisor a Mr Al Frizalone as he doesn't answer his phone. I contacted the technician who introduced me to this company and vouched for their honesty. He said that he would forward an email to the supervisor if I sent it to him, which I did. I have not heard back from this company and we are out $320 plus the $225 which we paid in advance on March 23, 2023. I contacted another local air condionetn company Condee Air and was told that they would have charged $120 to come out and unclog a drain, which is similar to what we paid Conditioned Air during the last two years which we were using their services. What they are doing is ambush overcharging and then making themselves unreachable. It seems as if others have also had negative experiences with this company, based upon the reviews. I am shocked because the past two years were nothing like this. I wonder if this company is under new management. read more

I wanted to do a contract for maintenance and called them up and they wanted my credit card number and I gave it. Two days later my credit card got hacked!. I hadn't used my card much before and hadn't used it in the 2 days. I called to inform them that they might have a problem there. All I wanted them to do is tell me they would check on it and get back to me. The receptionist wasn't very friendly or helpful so I asked to talk with a manager and then I talked with VP Tim Russell and he was the worst of them all! Another example of lousy service. This vendor called me a week ago to schedule an appointment for today between 8-12 to install a vent that was missing at one of my client's homes. As has happened previously for another appointment, they were a no call/no show. At around 10:45 I had a feeling this was going to be the case, so I called to follow up. After several minutes of waiting, I was transferred to a person with an English accent. While she was pleasant, she could offer no assistance other than to tell me she would have someone call me back. Never took my name or contact information, just said "someone will call you back"??? To no surprise, I'm still waiting for that call. Not only was this a waste of my time but the client's builder, who uses Conditioned Air, is fuming and rightfully so. read more

I would give a -1 star if possible. Worst price gougers in SWFL. Do not call. I had a quote from them for $1670 to replace fan motor. Called two other companies and go it done for $930, a $740 difference. Cost of the motor was $580, so they charged approx. $1100 for service/labor. If you want to use a company that takes advantage of clients in need of immediate service or any service, Air Conditioned is the one. I have changed y review to 2 stars, as I spoke to Chris and he explained their cost strucutre is different than some of the smaller companies. He did refund the $99 diagnostic change, which was appreicated. The follow up to mitigate an unhappy potential client was very good, although they are still not price competitive read more

Please consider this before contacting Conditioned Air (CA): I had an appointment for a service call. A technician did not arrive during the appointment window. When I called (several times) they would just say that the technician was running late. They also said that the service call would be $169.00. I had a current service agreement with them that clearly indicated that this type of service call would be $99.00. During several calls they insisted I was wrong and said I could not speak to a supervisor as they (the dispatcher) could only contact a supervisor via email. I finally canceled the service call (3 hours after the scheduled appointment the technician had still not arrived). The next day I called their office in Naples, FL and eventually talked to Al Frizalone who agreed that the service call should have been $99.00 and said that I would be issued a refund of $225 (the cost of my service contract). After about 2 weeks I had not received the refund. I talked with Mr. Frizalone numerous times about this. Each time he had an excuse for why the check had not been issued and even said he was going to drop the check off at our house when he was in the area. After about 3 weeks of stalling tactics I contacted the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Within a couple of days a VP at CA, Jeff Zanella, told me and the BBB that he would be signing a check for $225.00. After several follow up calls and more than 2 weeks, I finally received a check....however it was for only $112.50. I called Mr. Zanella who assured me it was a mistake and that the correct amount would be mailed that same day. It has been almost 2 weeks and I have not received the check. In other words, after over 2 months, CA is still playing games and not being an ethical and honest company. I would not recommend doing business with Conditioned Air. read more

I have mixed feelings about this company. I liked the salesman and the techs but pretty poor customer service otherwise. I called one day to speak with service. Got put on hold for a while but the automated attendant says you can leave a message so I attempted to do so. I got bounced back to the operator/receptionist who put me back into hold as soon as I mentioned that I wanted to leave a message for service. This then happened two more times before I got somebody else to take my name and number. 48 hours later I called again since nobody returned my first call and finally got somebody to speak with. I got an appointment for service immediately which was great but they wanted me to call back to confirm because I had to arrange for somebody to open the condo. When I called back the next day to confirm the receptionist told me she would have to take my name and number. I told her I just wanted to leave a message. She said she couldn't take a message. Huh? A receptionist that won't take a message? Interesting concept. read more

We would give conditioned air a negative star if offered. Bought a new build home in Del Webb, March 2019. The AC unit, a Lennox, was installed by Conditioned Air. we signed up for a 10 year warranty. In December 20 21 the fan motor inside the unit would not turn off. we called conditioned air because it's under warranty and the tech came out and said the fan motor was bad and it needed to be replaced. The service call was $125 and he was here about 20 minutes. of course the warranty only covers the labor for two years. The next tech comes out and replaces the fan motor. My husband asked for the motor he had just removed and the tech told him no he could not have it. Reason why, conditioned air will send it back to the factory for a new replacement. So he handed us a bill for $399 for labor only. It took the tech less than an hour to replace the fan so why would I pay the first guy $125 for half hour and this guy $399 for less than one hour. Conditioned air is a rip off would never recommend or use them again. They can take that so-called warranty and shove it where the sun can't shine. What good is a warranty when you get raped for the labor charges. Tech was nice and seemed knowledgeable so they get two starts for having a friendly staff. However I needed r22 filled in my air conditioner and my usual company was unavailable. I was told to call conditioner air and ask them to fill 1-2 lbs of r22 just to hold me over till Monday. The woman on the phone informed me that it was a 40$ service call fee and around 50-60$ a lb for the R22. Asked the tech to put 1-2 lbs of r22 into the system and explained the situation and what my normal tech told me to have them do. The tech from conditioned air then proceeded to put 4lbs or r22 in my system and told me it's 100$ per lb. what I was told would be about a 200$ service cost 440$ on top of that I specifically said multiple times 1-2 lbs max. Prior to him filling it the tech said got it 1-2 lbs. still puts in 4lbs. good job AC company. Got me once. Won't get me again. read more

Had a new system installed . A little over a year later it iced up and failed.Conditionef Air service tech came out said it needed a charge . He said he charged it and the cost was 575.00. I paid it thinking system was fixed. Within an hour it iced up again. They sent another tech out and he diagnosed it as a clogged or bad orifice. It was fixed under warranty. I sent a letter asking to be reimbursed for the charge that it did not need and there has been no response. I thought Conditioned Air would respond to me but nothing. Don't trust them. read more

My air conditioning went out over the weekend so I called Conditioned Air. They said a technician would call me ASAP. The technician called me 6 hours later at 11:00 pm. No thanks. I would wait for a technician in the morning. So this morning Conditioned Air called to let me know they could schedule someone to come out some time TOMORROW! No appointments were available today. Do they really think I will wait 2 days to have my A/C repaired? They should have told me they could not help me WHEN I CALLED THEM. At least I could have made arrangements with another company. Part 2 of Conditioned Air. During my inspection of the AC drainage issue I removed the front panel of the unit to inspect the inside drainage. During that inspection I noticed that the "A" frame evaporator coils are starting to RUST. (Remember, my unit is only SIX months old) I then did some internet research on this and found that Lenox settled a class action suit last year regarding the rusting of their evaporator coils. (I know, I should have done that before I spent $5k on a new unit) However, Conditioned Air had to be aware of this and still recommended a Lenox unit!! read more

Work report from Conditioned Air claimed drain line was vacuumed. Call to office to get satisfaction was no help. Dishonest, shady. Avoid at all costs. read more
