We stayed in Crescent Towers (via CondoLux) on North Myrtle Beach. While we had issues with Crescent Towers, the CondoLux staff were very friendly and attentive while they tried to facilitate us. We had plumbing issues that were addressed promptly. We also reported some rude tenants that were taking over the lazy river area. While CondoLux doesn't run the property, they were able to contact the condo association to let them know of the situation (and ask why nobody was overseeing the property and pool areas). So, while our stay at Crescent Towers wasn't ideal, CondoLux did what they could to make things better. We appreciate that very much. read more

We checked into our unit and when we arrived discovered that the telephones in our unit were not working and we weren't provided with wifi passwords. The after hours number doesn't consider non working phones an emergency. Kinda displeased with the disorganization of the check in process and the help after hours. I was very disappointed with the condo we rented. We first rented South Shore 601 in the summer and it was VERY dirty when we checked in. We were told that it is very difficult to get the condos clean in a timely manner because of the rush of summer (dirty stained toilets, hair on all the toilets, food on the living room floor and the refrigerator was disgusting). We had to thoroughly clean the refrigerator and freezer before we could even put our groceries in the refrigerator. They did send two ladies to clean the condo within the hour. We rented the condo again for Thanksgiving since we like the layout of the condo and it worked really well for our family. My parents checked in Sunday and again the condo was very dirty (carpet not vacuumed, refrigerator, kitchen and bathrooms were dirty and carpet in rooms had not been vacuumed). I called the agency on Wednesday and I finally got a call back today after calling twice...yes, I understand that Thanksgiving was Thursday. I finally received a call back from Stewart, VP of CondoLux, he pretty much told me that it was my responsibility to call the Sunday we checked in. I explained to him the situation that my parents checked in Sunday and that I didn't come down until late Tuesday night. He told me that it was my fault for not calling and he never took responsibility for the condo being extremely filthy for the second time. Stewart even saw that our first complaint in July was documented and that we checked in at 3:00 and I called at 3:40. He wouldn't listen to anything I had to say since I did not call within the first 24 hours. I am always willing to give businesses a second chance, but this is the second time that this has happened, I refuse to give them my business. read more

after having a horrible stay, with toilet broke the first day we got there, then kitchen sink was clogged for two days, so we were not able to wash dishes, put dishes in dish washer for it to over flow and water flooded kitchen.. Contacted Maintence to be told they would come out and fix and never did until the day we were checking out.. ***NOTICE*** This is a REVIEW of CondoLux and unit 1006 of Malibu Pointe. This is NOT a complaint as ALL complaints have been taken up with the company directly. In order to attempt to get a refund for my issues, I was forced to sign a waiver stating I would NOT make a complaint to any agency in an attempt to resolve the issue as I felt it was resolved with them. This statement is being posted for full disclosure to make this REVIEW as accurate as possible. I rented unit 1006 at Malibu Pointe from August 23rd, 2014 to August 30th, 2014 from CondoLux for a rate that was very reasonable at $969 after all discounts I was eligible for. I booked via the CondoLux website and was very happy with the site. It was easy to use and payments were easy to make. The required a non-refundable $500 deposit upon reservation, which is pretty standard fare for the condo rental world. After that and getting an email receipt with my information, I had until 30 days prior to arrival to pay the balance in any fashion I wanted, which was very lenient. The balance was paid promptly via their website as well. They also did not charge any sort of processing fee for the payments via credit card, which was nice as a lot of other rental establishments pass their processing fees on to the customer, so that was refreshing. I had a bit of concern after paying the final payment well before the 30 days prior to arrival in that I never got any sort of packet or other information confirming or detailing my condo rental aside from the payment confirmations, so I contacted CondoLux. They were very nice and informed me that I would receive the information packet via email 3 days before my check in. I was uneasy about this and thought that I should get some information sooner than that, but also understood why as they have an after-hours key box that you wouldn't want someone knowingly accessing before their estimated arrival. Arrival time came quicker than I thought and we arrived to CondoLux around 3:30pm on August 23rd, 2014 to a packed parking lot and many people coming and going. After a 10 hour drive and 2 screaming children in the SUV, I was ready to relax. This is where the problems started occurring. I went into the CondoLux building, which was directly behind Malibu Pointe, and took the elevator to the 2nd floor. I was the only person in line which was nice and I quickly got my keys and signed my paperwork. They also made an imprint of my credit card for 'incidentals' as they called it and promised it would not be charged without my knowledge, authorization, and approval. This was, again, standard fare for condo rentals so I was OK with that. On a side note, the people that I saw coming out of the office before I went in all had welcome gift bags given to them. When I got my keys and paperwork, I was the only one that didn't receive one. Not sure if that was due to discounts I received or the place I chose to stay. Regardless, I didn't really think much of it. We took the car to the parking garage, which I will note, has a very low height restriction of 6ft8in but we fit through just fine and found ample parking. We were given two parking tags to hang in the mirror so that we weren't towed. The first thing we noticed was that there were no luggage carts to be found. I saw various people with them so I knew the complex had some but it took about 15 minutes to locate one. This was understandable as it was check in time and everyone was doing the same thing. The parking garage was clean and free to debris which was nice. We took the elevator up to floor 10 and got off and found our room to be right beside the elevator, which was a nice location. Once we arrived at the room, we began having issues. The first issue was with the keys we were provided. We were given three sets of keys. Two sets had two keys on the ring and the last had one key. None of the keys appeared to unlock the deadbolt on the door to the condo. They did unlock the outside storage unit room though. We attempted to unlock the deadbolt for about 10 minutes until we realized that the unit wasn't locked at all. We walked in and I immediately began noticing damage to the unit and stopped my family from unloading into the unit and began taking pictures. I found numerous scuff marks, scratches, and gouges in the walls, doors, baseboards and furniture. I also noticed that the dryer in the unit was heavily rusted out in the drum, which was very shocking as this isn't something that just occurs all of a sudden. We got a last-minute 50% off deal and it was wonderful! We ended up with a luxury three bedroom condo for the cost of a two bedroom condo! Everything was great. I gave it a four star because we had to call for the Wi-Fi information and the condo had a few very minor cleaning issues. One issue was the master bathroom shower but that was really more of an owner issue. Wonderful staff worked well with us even with our late check in. I would definitely use Condolux again! read more

We found this beautiful property through CondoLux last year and we came back again. Malibu Pointe is such a great value and the location can not be beat. It it just steps from the beach. As mentioned above, we booked through Condolux and trust me when I say you should not book with anyone else!!! Condolux was fabulous!! They are very helpful and very attentive to any issues that may arise during your stay. Our garbage disposal broke during our stay and they repaired it within hours of calling in. Condolux is the way to go no matter where you book in Myrtle Beach! We stayed in unit 905, which has much better furnishings than most of the units at Malibu Pointe. I would definitely recommend this unit because the couches are so much more comfortable and brighter. The unit was immaculate when we arrived and the view was to die for. We went during the week of 4th of July so it was a bit crowded but not too bad. The pool area is rather large and nice as well. If I had to make some improvements to the property it would be the design of the pool area. The lazy river and the large pool were often too cold for us. The pool sits under the building so it does not get much sun. I would like to see a heater or a better design. I would often smell other people from other buildings cooking out on grills provided by their property. I wished Malibu Pointe had grills. Even without grills and a chilly pool we are still coming back next year and we cannot wait to book again. I also want to say that after the stay I realized I left my wedding band and engagement ring in the unit. The cleaning staff at Malibu Pointe and Stephanie at Condolux made sure that I got my rings back. I cannot even begin to stress how grateful I am for that. Stayed at Bay Watch Tower 1. It was Excellent. 5 pools. 5 hot tubs. 2 lazy rivers. Plenty of area outside for guests. At night the beach is illuminated by lights on top of the buildings. Made it very nice to walk the beach at night. Very nice gift shop that has tons of stuff you might need that you forgot. And even food ti make all kinds of meals. The condo was very nice. Modern with all appliances and very well furnished. Gorgeous view of the ocean. Its close to many great restaurants and tons of entertainment. I would love to have s time share or own one of these units. We will be back in the future. read more

I stayed at a property managed by CondoLux - at the Ocean Bay Club - the condo was not well maintained, the stove top was dirty, the corners on the rooms had dead bugs and dirt, the shower curtain was moldy, and even though I checked for bed bugs - seen no sign of them, it either had bed bugs or fleas - by the 3rd night there, I was covered in bug bites on my arms, back and sides. Did not see the 'luxury' in the condo - it was less maintained than some apartments I rented while in college. Will not rent from them again. read more

We rented a unit at the Bay Watch from Condolux. Unit 838 in the tower closest to the Fish Tails outdoor bar. We have stayed there several times over the years, the last being 3 years ago. What a disappointment! We paid $173.00 cleaning fee and they didn't even change the sheets on our bed. Imagine our surprise when on Saturday night, when the office is closed, we got into a bed full of sand. The place was NOT cleaned, apparently for quite a while. Surface areas were ok, but the nitty gritty was not. Attached pictures show dirty vents for air conditioning along with the dirt they blow onto the popcorn ceilings, mold on a couch cushion, mold in the shower and on the plastic dollar store shower curtain, dirty coffee pot, broken plastic chair on the balcony, broken lock on the sliding door to the balcony, so much dirt and sand in the track for sliding door you could hardly open it. Even the hallway to our unit had not been vacuumed. There was the cover to a needle, a penny, plastic package papers, and SAND, LOTS OF SAND! The elevators were not cleaned. We went to the office on Monday to ask for a refund of our cleaning fee and were told we would get a call from Stuart. They did offer to send a cleaning crew in, but the amount of cleaning that needed to be done was not possible with all of our belongings all over. Stuart never called. We went back to the office on Wednesday and requested clean sheets. Other vacationers on the beach had similar stories to share. One woman made them come in and steam clean her couch and told us about her neighbor whose couch was ripped. The outdoor water wash off from the beach did not work so people washed off in the pools. The pools were not vacuumed. Condolux has a beautiful new office. Maybe that's where all the cleaning fees go. When we checked out we still had not heard from Stuart and we told them we would never use Condolux again. read more

I recently returned from a week's stay at Malibu Pointe Resort which I booked through Condo-Lux. I've rented with them 6 previous years so I am very familiar with them. They have great prices and friendly staff. I had no issue with unit except floor could have been a little cleaner. Everything worked fine and condo was very comfortable (except hide-a-bed sofa was very uncomfortable). I have stayed in this resort twice before, once in this same room. My family and I stayed at the Crescent Keyes recently located in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The trip was scheduled and paid for in full months in advance. We arrived at the beach on Sept 9th, 2017 and departed on Sept 16th, 2017. This was the same week Hurricane Irma was predicted to strike South Carolina. Upon watching news reports that the storm was headed for South Carolina we attempted to reschedule the trip. Crescent Keyes said they would not offer a refund nor reschedule the trip under this circumstance. They did offer me to come after the storm has passed and enjoy my remaining paid days. My options were to not go and lose out on the money paid or enjoy the remaining days of my vacation after the storm has passed. Due to it being a natural disaster the same week as my trip I find it hard to believe they were unable to reschedule the trip for me. This was one instance of their customer service showing their true colors. The one star is given because the room was clean and as far as the hotel amenities we had no issues. The customer service experience was horrible. Crescent Keyes let us know we would not get our money back regardless if we used our scheduled reservation. My wife left a brand new gray dress in the closet during our stay. Upon arriving home she realized it was left in the room at Myrtle Beach. I called the same day and let them know the garment was left behind. They informed me someone would contact me back the same day with a status update. No one ever returned my phone call that day as promised. I have called every day after that and have been lied to continuously. I have been promised numerous phone calls to no avail. Since then I have been told a number of different things, but the garment has never been located . First I was told that no one will be able to enter the unit for privacy reasons. Although I find this strange because an exterminator entered the unit the week we stayed there with no issues. One of the customer service reps by the name of Kathy promised she would look into the issue. This gave me a little hope since so far I had gotten no where with any of the customer service representatives. Kathy listened to me explain that no one has assisted with this matter and assured me this would get resolved. Kathy never called me back as promised that day. Since Kathy never returned my call I decided I would try her again to see if anything was found. Upon reaching Kathy for the 2nd time she was very rude and unhelpful. No customer service rep offered to check with the current room tenants or at least call to see if the dress is still in the closet. I let them know on my last call to just be honest with me if they would NOT check or look for the garment please just tell me that and I can stop calling daily. They assured me again last week someone would be calling me back. I informed them I would have to post a review about the below average customer service. I held off to see if they came up with any new news. As you can see I am posting this lengthy review because again they never returned my call. This customer service was terrible and I will not be staying here ever again. Beware if you are in the Myrtle Beach area of this location. Extremely loud construction was being done in the unit above us for two full days of our stay. So loud that we literally had to shout to hear each other. Not exactly what you'd expect on a relaxing beach vacation. On the second morning, I decided to call the office. We certainly wouldn't have booked this condo with the knowledge we'd be stressed out each morning and forced to hurry out of our unit to avoid the noise. I originally spoke with Monica. The noise was so loud in the background I had to shout to her on the phone. When I said something along the lines of "how would you like this on your vacation?" Her response was that she'd be at the beach if she were me. Basically insinuating I was wasting my precious beach time by complaining to her. I found this so condescending and rude. And certainly not what you'd expect from a customer service representative. Her rude attitude put me on the defense at this point. I asked if I could speak to a manager. She put me on hold briefly and returns to say that her manager spoke with me yesterday (I guess that meant she didn't want to speak to me again?) BUT the problem was I didn't call the day before. They didn't even take the time or energy to know who I was and that I was not the same person who had called to complain the day prior. Once Sherry got on the phone she insisted there is nothing she could do. She said they have every right to do work on the unit above us and she has no control over it. At this point, I'm so frustrated dealing with someone who is supposed to be making our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible and all I get from her is that she can do "nothing". I just spent $1500 and drove for 2 days with my husband and 3 kids to get away from the stress of life and be in a calm, serene beach condo with an ocean view, and instead I'm listening to a jack hammer for 2 full days and all I get from this woman who is supposed to be in charge is that she can do "nothing". Do you not offer vouchers? Do you not offer a discount? Her response was that that would not make the noise stop. Are you kidding me?? Who are these people that you have employed for you? Have you not heard of the value of making a customer happy? We had friends who stayed in a beach house not far from us. When they arrived, it hadn't been cleaned yet. The owner was contacted and not only did he immediately send a cleaning crew, he also offered a voucher for a dinner out. Guess what? My friend was no longer focused on the fact that it wasn't clean but moreso on how well he took care of the situation. She would return there and also recommend his place to friends. That is customer service. Your manager then when on to say that she "feels bad for the people we rented from if they don't get all their money". So, what about us? I eventually decided I've wasted enough negative energy on these two women so I said I was going to go. She said, "I'll think about doing something for you and if I am I'll call you back". I never heard from her. I can hands down say this was the worst customer service experience I have ever had! Needless to say, we won't stay at or recommend Condolux rentals to anyone ever again. My family and I recently stayed at Malibu Pointe. Condo 1105 was nasty....your feet were black from walking across the Master Bedroom carpet to go to the bathroom. The flooring in the living area was not as clean as the bedrooms. We reported a broken lamp when we arrived, no one came. We asked for bedding for the sofa bed and they sent see-thru sheets and one pillow....I guess you need to share. All linens were old and worn. read more

We stayed at Sea Watch Resort through Condolux, North Myrtle Beach. The Condolux staff were very helpful and nice. I went through their website to find the perfect location to stay. The website was very easy to navigate, and their communication was polite and timely. They even have an app that makes things even easier. The resort was wonderful. Amenities galore!! Dirty and terrible customer service. We rented from these people and when we arrived the place looked like it had a kegger the night before. Carpet was nasty, we were scared to take our shoes off. The wicker furniture had something crusted caked all on it, truly disgusting property. Towels had red stains on them and the bathroom light was shorting out at the switch and did not work. After taking two days to get back to us the Supervisor Terry Seidlitz told us that they could clean the carpet and fix the light but she refused a refund because it was livable in her opinion. Sorry but i don't want my child staying in that dump. The thought of my 1yr old crawling on that nasty carpet or putting her hands in her mouth after touching anything in that place makes me sick. We had some last minute changes, and she was totally responsive. An older TV in one of the units 'blew up', and it was replaced the same day. I voiced my concerns regarding a maintenance man entering the condo-- and most worrisome, the bedroom my daughter was in dressing-- before the 10:00 am check out time. He knocked on the door but did not wait to be allowed in the condo and from the kitchen I saw him enter the room my daughter was in. I followed him in and he said he was checking a water leak and then immediately left. I registered a complaint with the clerk upon checking out of the condo, never heard back, so I emailed, never heard back, so I filled out the evaluation form they sent by email, never heard back. I can only guess it's commonplace or that they do not care about guest safety. Beyond this issue, the property was less than average. There was a huge hole in the ceiling of the closet in one of the bedrooms which was concerning. The condo itself was right across the street from a quiet beach but the roads and alleys next to it are covered in trash. The lazy river is tiny and the pools are just okay. I stayed at the Emerald Dunes the in late June of 2011. For the price this place was a not a good value. The Kitchen was dirty, dishes were unusable, the counter had real Band-Aids holding the top on. The porch furniture was unusable, the chairs had hole. The worst part was the game room that was advertised was a total disaster. There was not one piece of working equipment. The Ping-Pong table more like a work bench, paint stains all over, no net and no paddles or ball. The air hockey/shuffleboard, had cigarette ashes that looked like they had been there a while. The odor was horrible, and I saw a cockroach the size of a rat. This was a major part of the decision was to use the game room with the youngster. The picture was totally deceptive. The dryer in the condo did not work. We called every day, we had at least 4 service men visit. All is all the place was a total rip off. read more

Worst rental agency we've ever used. They passed the buck from day one. We drove to their office and they gave us the manager's number who had voicemail she never returned. No hot water for 2 days and the plumber who eventually arrived said the heater needed replacing and to keep the breaker shut off unless we really needed hot water. REALLY? We called every day and no one ever returned our calls. Someone came by the day before we left with a plug for the kitchen sink. Everything needed addressed "by the owner" of the condo. No idea who they were or how to reach them. 30 year old condo that needed updating 20 years ago. I only gave them one star because you can't leave a half. I had to clean out the dryer lint that had been in there for months if not years. Do yourself a favor and use someone/anyone else for any real estate transaction. Condo Lux? Condo SUX. Bring VHS tapes if you want to watch a movie. The ocean view was beautiful but I think that was God's doing. read more

While our experience with condolux company was a very good one, the unit #609 at laguna keys was extremely disappointing. Here is the list of issues we found: GFI outlets tripping daily in two of the bathrooms Pull chain control for ceiling fan caused sparks in the lighting fixture Kitchen cookware was terrible(Teflon badly scratched on 2 of 3 teflon pans) Kitchen corner cabinet was broken/others were peeling paint Refrigerator badly rusted on freezer door Not enough drinking glasses/bowls Carpets were filthy with spots Sleeper sofa very uncomfortable - people chose to sleep on floor instead No pillows for the sleeper sofa All mattresses were very noisy and uncomfortable Not enough seating on the balcony - only 4 decent seats, the other 4 were wobbly. This unit sleeps 10 - where are the rest of the chairs? Condo sleeps 10 - dining table for only 6 and 2 bar stools Missing slats on vertical blinds - did not fully cover windows No pillows for the sleeper sofa - had to buy pillows and pillow cases Security doors to the building were an issue - level one door from garage was broken for the majority of the week. Stayed in Malibu Pointe in August 2011 and we'll definitely be back in August 2012. The 3 bedroom condo was so spacious and clean and the price was very reasonable. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, pots & pans, and utensils. I had brought some with me in case but we never needed them. The pool and lazy river were very clean. We were right across the street from the beach and still had a nice view over the top of the condos in front of us from room 905. We didn't use the exercise room or game room but they were pretty small, however, that was not a concern for us as we spent most of our time on the beach or out and about. All in all it was a very relaxing vacation for us in a very clean, well-appointed condo. read more

Arrived early to the area and were told that as soon as the condo was ready we could get our keys. Didn't hear anything and went back at 3:00 to see all other guests waiting to check in as well. Once 3:00 hit they started randomly calling out names to hand out keys, clearly they had no intention of letting anyone in early even if their condo was ready. Arrived at the condo and keys didn't work, and there were resort members in the unit removing fans and dehumidifiers from a leak/flood the previous week. Dropped our stuff and hit the beach, came back and realized two of the TVs weren't working, there was moldy bread in the kitchen drawers, and there was a cigarette in the sink drain. Since theses weren't "emergencies" waited until Monday to call them. One of the TVs was fixed on Monday, the other was fixed on Thursday - no confirmation calls to let us know the issue was fixed or that service people had been in the condo when we weren't there. On Monday when we initially called they said they would check with housekeeping about the issues and get back to us...WE had to eventually call them again on Thursday and got the same response. They finally called us back Friday evening and said that there wasn't anything they could do but we should have called when we checked in and they could have sent someone out to re-clean. Problem wasn't with the condo (which was lovely) or the resort (which was also lovely). Problem was the customer service. Condolux representatives were dismissive of our concerns, never apologized for our inconveniences, and lacked in communication when issues were addressed. They did offer a discount if we were to book with them next year, but with the way they handled our business this year, we have no intention of booking with them again. read more

I am currently staying at the Blue Water Keyes Condos in North Myrtle Beach and CondoLux is the management company for the unit that I am staying in. The staff over the phone are extremely pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately this is not the case in person. The young woman who checked us in was so rude, and not only did we (my husband and I ) deal with her but my brother in law and sister in law as well had the same experience with this person. We arrived early and they wouldn't let us go to the room, fine, they have their policies, but their claim was that the condo was being cleaned. So we expected a clean condo when we got there, not the case. The in take vent was filthy! covered in dust, we have two infants staying with us and one with terrible allergies. the floors were filthy, the knees on my sons clothing and the top of his feet were black , same with his palms from crawling around, none of us want to walk around bare foot because it's so filthy. Not a nice way to spend our vacation. We also paid for a cleaning service to come everyday for the duration of our stay, and mind you we paid up front and today no one came! I called the office and of course because it is Sunday no one is there. I have read other reviews with similar complaints and someone from Condolux had responded saying that they wish the guest had called the office and they would have sent the cleaning service right away, well I did just that about the vents (it wasn't until after we were settled that we noticed how dirty the floors actually were). I was told it would be taken care of and that someone would come to take care of it and no one did. I will not book through CondoLux again. They don't stand by their own words. Condolux has been a company that I have been unfortunately dealing with for several years as my family insisted on staying at a properly they manage at Crescent Keyes. This year I reluctantly got my own condo to join my family during the vacation, and since I paid for it I feel at liberty to post an actual review. For the past several years we have all come accept the fact that the hot tubs are always messed up. Either the switch isn't working or they are closed for some unknown reason, whatever the case may be, this trip was no exception. And I know, I know "we are not responsible for the facilities". Ok so why are you taking payment to use those said facilities? It's a blanket policy to alleviate you of any responsibility because there is no way to get in contact with anybody who can fix any problems. The lazy river is filled with fire ants and the building itself is in poor condition. Let's move on to the condo: admittedly this was one of the nicer units I have stayed in (unit 1205)... We slept well in the bed and woke up refreshed to a beautiful view, until I got up to shower and noticed a large blood spot on the sheets (not noticeable the night before when we got in as it was dark). The sheets had clearly been washed but the blood stain was there, so someone wasn't paying attention. When I called to report this I was hung up on after getting into it with the manager for not reporting it sooner (it was Sunday when I noticed it). This company awful, their facilities are poorly kept, and they accept no responsibility. Save yourself the headache and get a hotel where there are actually people available to take care of you. RUN - don't walk - from CondoLux. I had an awful experience with them this summer. I replied to an e-mail offer they sent me. It directed me to a list of condos on sale. At the bottom of the web page, it said: "Your Myrtle beach Condo Rentals - What's Included? Why, a wonderful Myrtle Beach vacation, of course! Other than that, all of our condo rentals include linens and departure maid service." The offer required telephone reservations. I called the number, booked a condo, was never told about any additional charges for linens and maid service, and was given a total. I received an e-mail confirmation about an hour later and became suspicious when it did not include any itemization. I called back to ask what was included in the total charge and was told that there was a $54 linen fee, a $54 cleaning fee, and a $55 processing fee - none of which had been previously disclosed to me and despite the statement on the web site to the contrary. I told them I wanted to cancel my reservation. They did, but charged me a cancelation fee of $100, even though I cancelled within about two hours of making the reservation and even though I cancelled because I was charged for items that the web site stated were included in the sale price. I have been to Myrtle Beach about 15 times over the last dozen or so years. I have never had an experience like this. I complained to the Myrtle Beach Better Business Bureau - no help. read more

Condo Lux Vacation Rentals rented a condo to my girlfriends and me on Oct 10, 2016, the day after Hurricane Matthew hit. Matthew devastated half of our eastern seaboard and it was impossible to travel there. Governor Haley evacuated the cities on the coast, roads were impassable, I95 was closed north and south bound. Two of us traveling from Florida were under evacuation and had flooding issues with our homes. Three traveling from Maryland could not get there due to flooding in North Carolina. Betty Robbey of Condolux refused to refund our money even though NMB was a disaster and travel was not recommended. She would not even consider trading us for another week next year. They closed their office for four days, never updated their message until Monday and that message said you stay on the line or submit a claim form for a refund. Nothing to encourage you that NMB was safe, electricity was on or leave a message and we will call you back. Very rude and no compassion for the storm victims. Ms. Robbey told me she could not make my house in Florida whole by giving me a refund. I will never do business with this company. Shame on them. read more

Do not stay at Emerald Dunes or book any condo through CondoLux. They will charge more than the deposit amount they advertise on the site and also, the place is filthy. We called and reserved the above and called the next day after reading the reviews on this condo about the bed bug infestation, dirty furniture, broken pool chairs, dirty cabinets, roaches. That is just a few of the complaints. They will not return our deposit which was 30% when it is clearly stated in the ad on their site that the summer deposit is $200. Our deposit was $1143.00. They had ample time to rent this place but because of the bad reviews they could not rent it, but kept our deposit. I called the manager who will not call me back. Consumers need protection against the dirty way they treat people. Read the reviews. Not good. Hopefully this will keep someone else from losing a lot of money for nothing. read more
