Wow. My regular doctor said I will have to do acupuncture for a while to feel the effects. My friend did it elsewhere for a year and a half. Today was my first visit. After a interview we went to the acupuncture room. The table you lay on was nice and warm. There was a good aura. He cleaned the needle sights. Place the needles in all sorts of places. I felt kinda nervous and relaxed at the same time. Flip sides and laid there with other needles under the red light. Well now it is a few hours later and I feel really good. I'm so glad I chose to come here instead of the steroids my doctor wanted to give me. My doctor had said the steroids would take a few days which sounded sooner then the acupuncture. But he was wrong. The acupuncture has made me feel so much better the night of. I highly recommend coming here. UPDATE::::: only had soreness for maybe a day and a half after. And the pain never came back, so I drove over to his acupuncture office today to tell him he healed me, he cured my pain, and that I know it doesn't happen for everybody right away but it did for me. He did such a great job. I do a lot of physical, straining work, when I have to crawl in the attic, crawl under a house, I would won't get into major specifics, but I beat my body up all the time. So if I ever have pain again, I will come back here immediately this guy is just the best And that is the reason why I went to him in the first place because he has the best reviews. I had severe pain in my left lower back with burning pain radiating around to my front thigh area. The pain was so bad that I had to go to the ER. I could not stand up straight and the pain was horrible! Walking was almost impossible unless I was leaning way forward and taking small steps. Sleeping was extremely hard. The ER doctor gave me a referral to the spine center at my primary medical facility. The doctor had mentioned acupuncture as a possible treatment. I did not know what to expect. I made an appointment and met with Dr Yoon Jeong. He was very welcoming, asked me several questions about what was going on and documented them in my chart. After that, we went to the treatment room, he had me lay on the heated treatment table and began to place the needles. He came in several times to check on me. When he removed the needles, he had me stand up. I was able to stand up straight and walk with no virtually no pain. I was absolutely blown away!!! Baaaaad low back pain. In retrospect, I wish I'd gone to Dr. Jeung before getting an epidural. Instead, I included acupuncture, PT and medical massage as my post-epidural recovery regimens. I thought the acupuncture really reduced the remnants of my pain and allowed me to eliminate analgesics after the epidural. Dr. Jeung has 40 years of experience. He's verrry good. The doctor doesn't really explain what he's doing or why, so I never learned anything about acupuncture or how it could help me. I tried asking him some questions about how it could help my migraines but he didn't answer any of my questions. The doctor interrupted me a lot (especially on the phone) and overall made me feel like I had to be super passive and not learn anything about the process. At the first appointment he said it was basically a consult appointment, put in a few needles, and said we would do more the next session. But in the next session he did the exact same thing... They also messed up the billing and billed my session without my referral so I had to call my doctor like 3 times to get it paid for. When I tried to talk to Dr. Jeong about it he would not let me talk, just constantly interrupting me. Super frustrating. I was going to give two stars but at my last appointment he went from putting needles in one person straight to my room without washing his hands, so I decreased it to one stars for basic hygiene. read more

Dr Jeong is amazing! I was referred for Worker's Comp to work on my carpel tunnel, ulnar nerve entrapment & a pinched nerve in my neck. Having never experienced accupuncture I was nervous but Dr Jeong is so warm and very good at what he does. The treatments helped with relief for pain, tingling and numbness I was experiencing. His approach is holistic and he often helped treat other things that were wrong and it was pretty neat to see how one little needle could help. He has intuition from years of experience to know which needle placement will be beneficial. If I need services again I would gladly return and I have recommended friends as well. read more

I came in on account of the Yelp reviews but was disappointed in this instance and can not recommend. In my experience with acupuncture this is not one of the more talented practitioners. The office felt dirty and the acupuncture was in no way anywhere near the level of effective care I have received in the past in Bethesda and in Beverly Hills. Dr Jeong is wonderful! I came to him in 2015 with a ganglion cyst on my wrist after my family doctor suggested I have it surgically removed. Dr Jeong was clear that, because of its size, it may take some time to reduce, if at all. He asked for other ailments and treated those, as well, for the same cash price (he does accept insurance but I didn't have any.) I went ahead with treatment and a few days after my third session, I was shocked to find the cyst was gone. Movement was restored to the joint and there was no more pain. All without surgery. Other issues I had were low back and knee pain, which went away temporarily after treatment and had me feeling 10 years younger. Dr Jeong's private practice is very clean with parking out front. He takes appointments to save you time, but I have also walked in. His wife helps out in the office and they have a huge cabinet of Chinese herbs for making teas that will compliment your healing (I've not tried that yet.) This year, 2017, I drove back to Dr Jeong for help with reproductive health, stress, and a new cyst on my foot. He examined my foot and said that it wasn't cystic, but bone. He asked if I had broken anything, but I hadn't. I was skeptical because it felt just like the one on my wrist years earlier, so he treated the area for pain anyway. When I went to my family doctor, I found that I did in fact have bone spurs in my foot. He has a lot of insight and is highly educated and has been doing this since he was a child (he learned from his uncle before going to school!) He is now a highly sought after instructor and trains many people in SoCal. By the way, I drive out to Thousand Oaks from Glendale to be seen by Dr Jeong. He's that good. My first impression of Dr. Jeong was that he was a cross between Professor Irwin Corey and Mr Miyagi. I came into his practice with great skepticism. I'm 59+... I got through Colon Cancer, 2 Heart Attacks, Asthma, a cavalcade of broken bones, stabbed twice, face smashed in many times, and more oral surgery than a Goalie. (I'd been a Sports Enthusiast my entire life and was a Bouncer for over a dozen years)....Over the past 10 years or so, I've been developing a Numb feeling beneath my feet....almost as if I were walking over marbles that were covered by a towel. Sounds weird right?...Yeah, to me as well. Not to mention the pretty significant pain both legs have been feeling. Especially at night for the past several years...Every time I visit the office, the Dr. sits down and asks me what the progress if any has been made since the previous visit. Remember, I told you these symptoms have been with me for "10 years!".....I wish I could say I'm 100% better...I am not....That said....The pain in both legs that at times hit a 9 and made it so I could hardly walk?...The pain's now at a 1 to a 3 depending on how active I've been. As a Westside snob when it comes to healing modalities, I was close minded about venturing out of the 310 for needles. I first met Dr. Jeong ( pronounced Jung) about two years ago while he was at his Port Hueneme office. I must add that I was a bit nervous to try acupuncture, but my husband has used it successfully over the years for a number of aches and pains. One day I woke up with extreme wrist pain, and my husband suggested I give it a try. I held out and went to a traditional doctor and they x-rayed the wrist and found nothing. I was then sent for an MRI and they found something wrong with a tendon. I was given a brace and sent on my way. The pain did not subside and there was nothing further that they could do other than wait for it to heal. I have two young kids and I type all day as part of my job. Ouch! I decided to give Dr. Jeong a try. When I arrived (no appointment needed, but it doesn't hurt to call to confirm that he is onsite and available) I found a kind and compassionate professional. He asked me a series of questions and then began treatment. I was a bit surprised to find that I could hardly feel the needles, and he didn't use any directly on my wrist. After treatment he asked me to come back one more time. That night the pain in my wrist was actually a bit worse. My first instinct was to assume that acupuncture wasn't for me. My husband assured me that the treatment was working and that I should see it through one more visit. I am glad that I did. After my second treatment, the pain subsided completely. For someone who relies on typing all day, this injury was a big deal, and I'm so glad I gave acupuncture a try. I have since take my daughter in for a soccer injury and my husband goes for his aches and pains. Dr. Jeong also works with herbs that can help a variety of ailments as well. He really seems dedicated to helping the whole patient. In case you are wondering, the clinic is clean, comfortable and Dr. Jeong has a very impressive resume and track record. I was in Thousand Oaks on vacation and had really hurt my neck a week prior. I had gone to 3 chiropractors and 2 massages and none of them were helping with the pain or range of motion of my neck and head. My wife found Dr. Jeong on yelp and I was slightly hesitant because he only had one review. But his receptionist was very nice over the phone and they were able to accommodate me with a same day appointment. Just a quick note.. That I am VERY afraid of needles. Dr. Jeong immediately made me feel very comfortable and even did a full body assessment prior to the acupuncture. When it finally came down to sticking those needles in me, Dr Jeong gave me the time I needed to get mentally prepared putting my headphones in to help me distract myself. And it turned out I was worried about nothing. I just felt a little pinch 6 separate times on my hands and feet and 15-20 minutes later, after he then massaged and worked on my neck and back, I was walking out feeling limber and great. My range of motion drastically increased and the stiffness was mostly gone. I would strongly recommend Dr Jeong to anyone who is dealing with any stiffness or muscle/joint pain. Just leaving my second appointment with Dr. Jeong. I came in a few days ago with terrible neck, back and leg pain and tingling in my toes. I was also just getting over a mysterious illness that left me pretty nauseous and lethargic. After the first session my leg pain and neck pain was immediately better. I was shocked at how well I felt. I had more energy and was able to eat a meal for the first time in days. Now after my second visit I feel even more relaxed. Dr. Jeong made sure I was comfortable and warm during the treatment. I have poor circulation in my hands and feet so he warmed the treatment table/bed and used a heat lamp to keep me cozy. I've had several acupuncture treatments in the past but this is the first time I've experienced such drastic results. I had severe neck pain one morning, to a point where I was unable to turn my head or even move. I have never experience this type of neck pain in my life. Originally I was going to the doctors but my friend recommended me to go to an Acupuncturist first. I was a bit reluctant since I have never had it done before, nor did I think it would even work. My friend finally convinced me to try it and searched on yelp for the closest acupuncturist in my area with good reviews/recommendations and found Dr. Jeong. Since this was my first time, I was really nervous and still a bit skeptical but Dr. Jeong and his staff made me feel at ease and very comfortable . Dr. Jeong was very patient with me and answered all my questions. He was very attentive and pleasant. After the treatment was completed (which took a bit over an hour for me) I was amazed by my results and how much my neck felt so much better. The acupuncturist Jeong speaks and understand very little English, so it is hard to communicate with him. He might also be experiencing memory loss as he asks the same question over and over again. His technique is pretty strange too compared to several acupuncturists I have seen in the past. I went to him a few times and felt totally stressed out after his treatment when it should be the opposite. Another thing you should know before you decide to go to this guy is that his practice is not very sanitary. If you need an extra pillow to raise your head or your knees, he takes a vinyl pillow that he keeps on the floor under the bed and expects you to put your head or skin on it without using a pillowcase or a towel to cover it. He also has no clean gowns to give you. He tries to roll your pants up so he can needle your legs or knees. Very weird. I stopped going to him after a few sessions as it was unpleasant and useless. read more

I have had chronic issues with my neck/shoulder area from a car accident when I was a kid and he is the first one to alleviate the pain and help me progress with my mobility.
