I LOVE this location! I took my pup to the Carmel location once and I will never do it again!…read moreThat's another review for another time. All of the staff here know my dog by name and greet him with excitement. They want him to be there and that gives me so much peace when I leave him. They have video cameras working from the minute you walk in until the minute you pick up. You can download an app onto your phone and check on your dog anytime. I'm so grateful to have a place I trust with a great staff! Thank you so much Camp Bow Wow Lawrence! You stand out!

I enrolled my dog in Level 2 training but chose to withdraw due to ongoing concerns with both the…read moretraining approach and overall customer experience. During sessions, communication from the trainer was often abrupt and, at times, dismissive. Instructions would be overridden mid-process, with the trainer stepping in to physically take control of my dog instead of allowing me to complete the exercise. This created confusion for my dog and disrupted the trust and consistency I was trying to build. I noticed big regressions in my dog's behaviors who had already mastered simple behaviors but simply signed up for permission of the social part to allow my dog to take advantage of their play area which has also been condemned by others. While Camp Bow Wow owners, who are also the trainers, are sold on reintroducing known skills, i.e., "sit," with their incentive methods--such as hand signals that were not part of her original training--without a clear transition seemed to add to that confusion. The inconsistency between my handling and the trainer's approach made it difficult to reinforce anything effectively at home. There were moments that felt unnecessarily harsh. For example, when my dog was in heat, the situation was handled with urgency and comments that came across as unprofessional rather than constructive. Customer service was another issue. Phone interactions were often abrupt, including being placed on hold without explanation and occasionally met with argumentative responses. In person, there were instances where staff handled situations without clear communication--such as physically repositioning my dog without first asking--which could have been handled more respectfully. Overall, I expected a more collaborative and professional environment, especially for a training setting where consistency and trust are critical.

I get that the owner must prefer animals-- but since animals aren't going to walk in on their own, human skills are also needed. Those are not skills this owner possesses. Her organizational skills are lacking also. When I spoke to her assistant to schedule the first time, I asked for a fax number to send the boys vaccinations, and after taking the time to do that, this woman had no idea how to access her faxes for some reason, and I had to bother my vet's office again. I took my two teacup Pomeranians here ONE time. One of my poms had a pretty, full coat when he went in, and when he came out, half of it was gone. I specifically asked that he not be trimmed too much. My husband thought we should give the groomer another chance. When I came for a second time, and asked her not to cut it short like last time, she argued with me, swearing she didn't cut it short. Now maybe she defines "short" as shaved to the skin or something, but his hair was so much shorter, that we had to put him in a harness one size smaller. Never had that with another groomer. Not only that, but however she cut his hair, it is not growing back. She basically wrecked his coat, and is trying to blame the dog, saying he has "coat funk" (which our vet says is made up groomer jargon). Rather than blaming the dog, all this woman needed to do was to listen to me when I told her not to cut too much of my dog's hair off. Instead, she had to be right, and had to have the last word. She refused to listen, was rude, and kept repeatedly using this term "coat funk." The final straw was when she said "I didn't give your dog coat funk." No lady, you gave him the crappiest hack job of a hair cut he's ever had, and wrecked his coat. You did that. Not the dog. And I will let everyone know that this is the last place to take a dog you care about. If your dog has any kind of double coat, I advise you to go elsewhere. If you have any special instructions you want implemented, go elsewhere. If you want to be listened to, go elsewhere. You and your dog deserve better.

They assured me they'd be careful and take their time. I found a cut and several scratched on my pups little arm upon picking her up. I've struggled mightily since then in a myriad of ways ranging from having to re-learn personal care to having to figure out working and taking care of my home. I've been familiar with Lyric Gorman of One Woman Many Trades for quite some time. I've always struggled with the idea of people coming into my home - partly because I do have a hard time managing it and partly because life with an even more significant disability now has made things more complicated than ever and my home definitely shows it at times. One Woman Many Trades offers a variety of local services designed to make life easier - housecleaning, organization, child care, personal assisting, and a host of others. One Woman Many Trades has helped me out around the house including house cleaning, organization, personal assisting, organizing tasks, and other things. When One Woman Many Trades enters my home, I know that I'm in good care and I know she can be trusted to non-judgmentally help out and to do so conscientiously and compassionately. I remember once she helped out with my bathroom. Oh my word, she deserved hazard pay for that one. Yet, she's been around disability and she gets it and she simply gets in there and gets the work done and treats people with dignity and respect. She's fair in pricing, compassionate in her service, a consummate professional, and extremely good at whatever she offers to do. I'm honestly someone who's insecure about having folks enter my house - but One Woman Many Trades radiates caring and she's easily one of the first people I'd call to help around my home. One Woman Many Trades is a certified nanny and babysitter and comfortable working with any age. She offers transportation and tutoring and is CPR and First Aid-certified. Services include such things as tidy/basic/deep cleaning, move-in/move-out, organizational, recycling and garbage removal, window cleaning, upholstery/fabric cleaning, laundry, contamination prevention, grocery delivery, personal shopping, transportation, home staging, home sitting, pet sitting, event planning, community-based habilitation, and others. One Woman Many Trades is a small, woman-owned business that offers quality work done compassionately. She's been undeniably helpful to me and she's had to work through a lot of my defenses and has done so patiently and with tremendous caring. She's what we country folks call "good people" and she's consistently done good work for me. I'd wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend her.
