Our second time here and we had fun trying the second and more difficult of the 2 courses. It's mini golf but elevated. You can tell they take pride in keeping the place clean and in working order. The course sprawls out and around a man-made river and has lots of stairs to climb up to other levels with a fun cave area as well. I would not recommend if you have mobility issues or require a wheelchair or stroller. They offer snacks and a few sundry items. The restrooms are clean. My daughter and I went to Congo River Golf yesterday and ALL of the staff were amazing to us. I'm not sure who hires people there but they chose the best people in all of Florida!!! They literally treated us like GOLD!! I bought my daughter the package where she gets to hold the alligator, feed them, mining for crystals and the arcade. She's never had more fun in her life!!! First of all I come up from Ocala Fl to spend a nice adventurous day with my girlfriend and we were so excited to come to this place just to be dissatisfied and disappointed. First we had to wait about 15 minutes for the guy with the long hair to show up at the booth (finally) and by the time he arrived from doing who knows what there was a group of different people waiting right behind us. Which meant that we didn't even get to enjoy our first experience bc we felt so rushed of the different groups of people. They should really expand it out by 10 minutes at least bc we paid alot of money just to be rushed and honestly that's pretty ridiculous and rude. The wife and I both love miniature golf, so it was never in doubt that we would play some while we were down in Florida on vacation. We saw this place while we were on our way to Night of a million lights. It was not the best course I have ever played, but it was real solid and good option if in the area. Congo River has 2 18 hole mini gold courses, they both look great, and they both intertwine in the area. Some of the holes have spinners on them, they are always fun. They also have a bunch of other things to do here to enhance your experience here. They have a scavenger hunt while playing golf, paddle boats to rent, a small game room that has AC if you need a few minutes of the the sun, they also have gator feeding and holding that you can do here. Everything was really well maintained, the turf was in great condition. The staff was friendly and nice. The price was on the higher end, but that is too be expected in a tourist area like this, they do give you a discount if you play both courses. Overall A surprisingly good mini gold course. read more

We found this close to our hotel and took a chance. Upon arrival (with the amount of people) it looked like there was a long wait but we were pleasantly suprised to find we walked right on a choice of two courses. It turned out that not only was there mini-golf but alligators (to feed and take pictures with) and a coy pond for feeding. The courses were in great shape and had so much to see. They had a few challenges along the way, you can also look for hidden items for a prize. Game room too. We had a party of 6 and had a great time. Hope to return soon, enjoy! read more

So so SO fun! Never have been to a golf course so planned out and with a variety of holes and details. It's expensive to do both courses especially if you have little ones, however as a date night it's definitely worth it! Lots of covid precautions, social distancing, hand sanitizer, and face masks abound. Never been a huge mini golfer I always found it semi boring, but this changed my POV. We loved it! Friendly staff, no wait and then misting waterfalls helped us stay cool. The spinners around some holes give you additional challenges which make it even more fun. But the highlight was feeding and holding a gator. My youngest also loved the gem mining! I wish I would have just bought the deluxe package and would have saved a few bucks. I didn't expect we would end up doing everything! But it ended up being just about $100 for a family of 4 to play mini-golf, 2 to feed and hold gators and 1 to gem mine. While having dinner up the street, I suggested to stop by and play minigolf before heading home. I selected Congo because it had the best Yelp reviews of others in the area. And if did not disappoint. In fact, it had much more to offer than any other minigolf establishment I have ever been before. For $30 (two adults), we played one course. Yes, shockingly high so be forewarned. They offered for $8 each we could play both courses but I declined never having played this course (or mini-golfed in years) one round of 18 holes was more that I was down to commit. We played Stanley course - described as easier. Livingston was described as more challenging. Of course, the hubs won by a mile but we had a great time! Two very unique things about this minigolf experience: 1) You have a few items to be on the lookout for (hat, canoe, mask, spear, etc.) which made it fun. If you find everything, you can turn in slip for a "prize." We found everything except for the mask. 2) A few of the course have a spin challenge, which we found to be pretty fun and added to the experience. One challenge was I had to take my first put of hole as a "granny shot" between my legs. Believe it our not, this was my best stroke! And met the 2 par. Lol! Other examples that we experienced were: first stroke hit with opposite end of putter (I.e. handle), all strokes use foot instead of putter, take first shot standing on one leg only, and switch balls if bumped. It really made for a fun time. Two tips: 1) Bring your own insect repellent! Being so close to stagnant water, we were bitten a handful of times by some various flying insects. This was the only negative experience. 2) There are lots of stairs. Not ADA or stroller friendly so be forewarned. read more
