We really love this putt putt course. We have played both sides and enjoy them both. We may have a slight preference for the haunted side, but only slight as they are both very good. There is trivia to play while you are on the course and if you complete the trivia, you get a scratch off card at the end. You may get a discount on a future round of golf or merchandise. If you're really lucky you will get something for free like a golf ball. The downside to this course is that it is very expensive but what else would you expect at Universal? The other downside is that if you come during the day you have to pay to park. Parking in the Universal garage is free after 6 PM which is why we've almost always played after 6 PM. If you are staying on property, you can take the bus or boat from your resort to CityWalk and you don't have to pay to park that way. I really wish this course or the movie theater validated parking during the day. read more

Sci-Fi or Haunted. Those are your choices. The Haunted course is probably more fun at night and that's exactly when I gave it a go. Hint -- select a brightly colored ball to make things easier! I don't know how long it has been here but everything feels new. Which, for mini golf, is a huge bonus with most courses feeling old and tired. Some unique challenges but also some small, what I would call, bad design decisions. Easy enough to play around those faults. The cost? I still don't get why it is so expensive. It was a great experience. Not only was each green different and unique, my family added to the fun be choosing different ways to move the ball. Instead of right hand, use your left, roll the ball, roll the ball backwards. It made it all the more entertaining. At the last hole we rolled our balls in one right after another so we could watch the experience. Note, there are a series of trivia questions on the back of the card for extra fun and if you answer them correctly you get a prize. Super fun, but super hot. I love a well-themed mini golf course. This placed nailed it. The part that surprised me most was friendly service! ( Went on 04/16/2026 ) I forget the young lady's name that worked the counter, but she was actually friendly, not surly like most mini golf employees. We appreciated her most of all. Only one of the two courses were open at that time so we'll have to come back and do the alien/UFO one another time. There were some real surprises in here, things I've never seen a mini golf course do before like the creature from the black lagoon hole. I liked all the attention to detail with the headstones' sayings, hidden attributes to locate, and tunnels. The final 2 holes had a lot more to them. The theming of them was super cool (I don't want to give anything away). While completing the course, there were trivia questions to answer on the card provided. Once finishing, we were told we got them right, and each of us received a scratch-off ticket. Mine revealed BOGO golf, and I look forward to using it to come back and do the other course offered. After 6PM for 18 holes, add $19? to play both courses (26 total) you get some discounts depending on booking online, other memberships, etc. staff was so kind and informative. So, we are complete beginners and it took us ~1 hour to play but mainly because we were waiting in between holes. Most of them we got par, and then the rest were split between hole in one'rs or the horrific 8 shots past par as we cried and pleaded with god, on our knees that it really shouldn't be this hard to shoot a ball straight forward. We did the haunted course, and the theming is so cute with lots of water effects that were welcome on this hot day. 2 fans blowing mist were also along the course. My boyfriend and I came here for an early date and did both courses. I purchased ahead online and it saves 10%. We spoke with a nice lady who got us all set up at the counter. They have drinks and snacks there which is cool. We stopped by the bathrooms prior to playing and both were very clean. Gameplay was fairly easy and not too backed up. For a Saturday at around 4pm, it was less busy than I expected. There are fans with misters on the courses which is probably good in the Summer. It was breezy and 70° so perfect weather for us today. We played until about 6 so an hour per course. They were lots of fun and I will definitely come back sometime; also very well maintained. We returned everything and the guy at the counter was really nice too. This was a great mini-golf experience at Universal City Walk! We received vouchers for a free round of golf as part of our vacation package, so we decided to try it out on a Friday evening. They have two 18 hole courses. One with a spooky theme and one with a sci-fi theme. We tried the spooky theme. Staff were helpful and friendly and kept everyone spaced out to avoid crowding during COVID times, and masks were required. They issue you a golf club and a ball in your choice of colors. Each hole had its own unique challenge, and the theme was spooky and cute. The place seemed very well kept and clean. There was a small issue where my ball bounced over the low wall around one of the holes and got lost in the brush which required a walk back to the start of the course for a new ball which staff immediately provided without issue. I have lived in Orlando for several years and always wanted to play mini golf at the Hollywood Drive-In golf course, and last night, my husband took me there. It was raining lightly, but that did not spoil our fun. There are two 18-hole courses, the haunted course and the sci-fi course. We chose to do the haunted course. They offer discounts to military, seniors, and Advent Health employees. The scorecard also has a scavenger hunt, but we did not do it since it was raining. We had a GREAT time! The course has so many fun details related to the theme, like a haunted pet graveyard, a haunted fountain, a gangrene house with deadly plants, and many more fun haunted and spooky themes. There are also holes with a giant spider looming over the hole with his webs stretched out before the hole, a hole with monster's graves, and an extremely hard hole that was hidden in a maze with shrubs. I would love to return and play the sci-fi course. Rating from F to A+++, I would give it an A+++! read more

A group of us went here to play mini golf to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. He's always wanted to try this place so it seemed like a perfect time. We chose the haunted house side since it looked cool. Check in was fairly easy, except they do have a policy that you need two proofs of FL residence to get the 10% resident discount. That was annoying since most of us didn't have two forms of FL ID on us, but since we were a larger group we ended up getting the discount anyway so it wasn't a big deal. Just keep it in mind if you go with a smaller group. The golf course itself was really fun. They put a lot of effort into making interesting holes with varying levels of difficulty. They really did great with visual and audio details to make the theme cool. It's kind of like if you took the haunted mansion and made it into a golf course. This is definitely my favorite mini golf course I've been to and I think it's a great activity for date night or a group outing. This is by far the best miniature golf course in town. You not only get an original course, but the music is toe thumping. And the added humor of each hole's sign, the trivia questions to complete along the way and the scratch off tickets at the conclusion are all added value. On the bummer side, this course is not easy to get to. You have to pay for parking (free for locals after 6 pm), walk a long distance and go through security scanners before reaching CityWalk. But this course is so fun, whether you choose haunted or sci go, the two courses are original, beautifully themed and well maintained. I've never encountered some of the obstacles before which make it fun to navigate. For one hole, we entered a monster's mouth which made a swallowing sound as we entered. And we had to putt while standing on a revolving platform. So original. The theming continues with humorous signs at each hole. The scorecard includes six trivia questions to answer throughout the course. And the music is also on theme, but so engaging that you will find yourself dancing along the way to the Monster Mash or The Jetsons theme while in Sci Fi. At the end, you get a scratch off card which gives you a chance to win a free game or discounts on addl. rounds or merchandise. My spouse and I frequent this mini golf spot a lot but on May 23rd we had an amazing time. The team members that worked that night (from 9pm-11pm) were exceptional! I typically love mini golf, but this place is plain rotten. For the price of two, you're practically signing the death sentence of your bank account. An arm and a leg doesn't even begin to describe the insurmountable amount of money this place costs. The price would perhaps be reasonable if every hole on the course wasn't the same as the last, but that wasn't the case. You have your choice of themes; Ghosts or Aliens, but I would've liked to see a theme of variety. The architects of this course must've had a tight deadline because I was putting par 2 the entire time. Zero intuition was put into the construction of this course, which supplied me with zero challenge. The whole point of mini golf is to be challenged, but the founders of this fakakta dump must've missed that box on their checklist. It deserves one star, only because I'm physically unable to make it less. (I also got friendzoned pretty hard after going here, so that might factor into the bias of my review. We tried the Haunting of Ghostly Greens course and loved the theming and degree of difficulty on each hole. Not too difficult but also not super easy. Side note: they have their own restrooms inside of the course gates. We golfed first thing in the morning and the ladies restroom was super clean. And they had a trivia card you could fill out along the course that you can redeem for a scratch off card that might contain a prize. We got a discount to use later. So far one of the coolest mini golf (range) I've ever been to! The theme was really cute they really kept up with the theme. I did the haunted golf course and each one has a ghost related theme (inspired by movies: Frankenstein's monster, ghosts, giant spiders). There are a lot of colors of golf balls to choose from rainbow all the way to black and white. Covid efforts: sanitizer provided, masks, social distancing including making you wait until the party ahead of you goes further I. Although hard to maintain as some groups move faster than others). The design and the lights are really nice and everything seems to work like the moving features and water hazards. The curbs are lit so with a very pretty neon light so that you can see where you're going and not trip in the dark. Service was friendly and they do have bathrooms in case you need them max. This was highly fun! It's great for the family, children will love it. They have 2 themes, sci-fi and haunted. Both are 18 holes courses. We only did Sci-fi. The alien theme was entertaining, and the music was fantastic. If you go to Guest Services, you can purchase a pretty sweet bargain. For $24 you can pay entrance to only 1 themed course and a meal at selected restaurants in City Walk. It was a good time and we are surely coming by again to do the other course. read more

Note: I played the alien/UFO course, so that's the part I am reviewing. This is a fun course with unique obstacles that is in great shape. I was disappointed with how short some of the holes were and how much it cost to play (around $17 for a round). Universal did a good job with the theming--UFOs, aliens, and decorations were high quality and some moving parts were incorporated into the holes. A few fans/misting stations were available to help you cool down. I would try the other course next time, probably wouldn't pay full price to play the UFO side again. read more
