On the phone, I asked if I could make the service appointment for a Saturday. I was told Yes. So I went in that Saturday for servicing, as scheduled. At the appointment, I was told that not all servicing work could be done. I asked why not. They told me some servicing work can only be done on weekdays. Ummm ... why didn't you guys tell me this on the phone when I was making the appointment??? Also, the guy's demeanor when telling me this was unpleasant and belligerent. The experience for the purchase was great, but that's where it ended. Trying to contact someone for service is impossible. I've called repeatedly trying to get a person on the phone so I can get my rims fixed. I bought the wheel insurance from them, but I can't use it because they won't call me back. The last time I made an appointment I was told I would have to come back on a Thursday and leave the car for at least the day. I was hoping to get my regular service done at the same time, but again, they don't call me back and it's been over a week since I've left message and wrote them through the Hyundai app. Not sure what's going on, but I'm at their mercy, so I guess I'll have to play by their rules. UPDATE: First, they never reached out to her to bring papers. She called for 5 hours the next day and they finally sent someone who reluctantly brought them to her. Dealership actually reached out to my daughter after this post. Doesn't give her back those hours she spent so aggravated but at least they wanted to listen. Management cares, but apparently that never trickled down to the sales floor. My daughter just had a terrible experience trying to buy out her lease. Despite the fact that she had a CONFIRMED appointment when she arrived she was told she did not. Sales person was totally disinterested and told her to come back another day...she lives an hour away and took off work to come. When she refused to leave he left for the day and left her there to wait...for over 3 hours until she got the attention of a sales manager. Never did sign papers. Eventually they agreed to bring papers to her the next day. This was not even the first time this happened. Last time she had a service appointment when she arrived she was told she did not and made to return another day. We are SO glad to be done with this dealership and would NEVER buy from them again. They are re only interested in the sale and not the customer. I would give zero stars if I could! read more

Crappier than crap service. Talked down to when made promises. No follow up. I bought my car at the end of August after my engine blew up. I was already upset that I had to purchase a new vehicle. AT FIRST. Conicelli is great, but that's a front for what is happening in the back of the house with management. My cars had dents and scratches in it since I bought it! They said they would repair it and paint. I've been there 5 TIMES NOW TO GET IT REPAIRED! Ever time I went it was due to lack of communication by their sales and management for me to come in (text to prove). The newest experience was me being handed off to, yet again, another person, who doesn't follow up with promises (I was supposed to be called Tuesday for my appointment Thursday bc they left a horrid paint mark and didn't do as they promised when they took my car last week, and I had to fight for a loaner). I was suppose to receive a call back about an appointment to fix a HORID PAINT JOB THAT THERE PAINTER DID WHO IS ONLY THERE ON TUESDAY AND THURSDAYS AND ONLY IF ITS NICE (What a job). I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND PURCHASING A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. Now I'm stuck in a warranty bc I thought they where great, but I was fooled and swindled. I have attempted to have my car serviced two different times at this location. Each time I booked, I showed up early. The first time I used them they were an hour late for a single oil change. When I used them a second time it was an hour after my original drop off when the car was still sitting in the lot - I asked what's up, and they said my car was currently getting fixed in the shop. Yet it was in the same parking spot as where I left it. Thinking about this from a business perspective - I would love to own a car shop. The customer service level is so low, yet people would still pay me to not meet the deadline. Literally, they can show up late, tell you that your car is getting worked on (yet in the parking lot), and a customer still pays. The only outlet is highlighting this fact through platforms like Yelp. read more

After emailing Pat, the svc mgr (he was away for the holiday wknd as informed from the auto reply email) I rcv'd a call from him on Weds. He said there was a miscommunication with the tech which I retorted by asking how do you miscommunicate "rotate tires"? I guess he really didnt want to admit that his techs & advisor tried to rip off a customer. But that got me wondering if the attempt to rip off a customer was done bc he was away (the mice will play while the cat is away) or if its a common practice their techs & advisors do to do the least amount of work they can but still get paid for. If its the former (the mice & cat scenario) I only hope that the tech & advisor who svc'd my appt were reprimanded & dealt with accordingly. And then he's gotta question does he really want employees who take advantage of & not have the customer's best interest in mind working for him? That is something only he can contemplate. In any event I am to take my car in this Fri for the tire rotation. He did offer to come pick the car up today but I opted to bring in & wait on my day off. So hopefully that appt will go smoothly. read more

They canceled my order twice claiming fraud alert...the part was $309.90, with shipping. I ordered the same part brand new (Genuine part) from another supplier Arch Auto Parts, and with labor $276.49...I saved $125.00...Conicelli Hyundai is horrible...my vehicle running great! I've been a Conicelli Hyundai customer since 2010 when I leased the first of 3 cars from them. The lease pricing was fair, transparent and painless. The sales advisors were knowledgeable and easy to work with. The cars I leased (Elantra, Sonata Hybrid and Ioniq Hybrid) worked flawlessly from the day I picked them up and the routine service I needed was done professionally and completed on time. My last lease ended 6 months after the covid shutdown so I was working from home and didn't need another car at that point. When I returned to work a couple years later and needed a car I bought a used 2013 Elantra based on my previous experience with my leased Hyundai cars. I just brought my car in to Conicelli Hyundai for service to replace the steering coupler which was expected to take 4 hours. I was planning to wait and work from the dealership but I thought I'd ask about their shuttle service. It turns out the shuttle service is limited to a 10 mile radius from the dealership and I live 16 miles away. I was OK waiting since I planned to do that anyway. Jim, the shuttle driver, was standing a couple of feet from me while I was talking to the service advisor about transport and he offered to take me home even though I live outside the shuttle range. I go out of my way to take my car to Conicelli Hyundai for service based on past experiences even though there is another Hyundai dealership 5 miles from where I live. Jim stepped up and without asking offered to drive me home. I would highly recommend this dealership for sales and services based on my 14 years using them. One caveat; the dealership is under construction as is the Ridge Pike along that stretch so it's a pain to get in and out of but based on my experience it's worth the effort. Do yourself a favor a go to another dealership. The first time I brought my almost brand-new car with about 25,000 miles for inspection they put 2 little gashes in my dashboard. The next time 2 months later I took it to be fixed I mentioned to be careful about not damaging my car interior because of what happened before.....they insisted with photographing every inch of my vehicle in case I complained about something that was already there. This time it took them 2 and a half months to fix a water pump that was causing an electrical problem. Upon picking up my car I noticed that the leather piping on my seat was damaged. There were pieces missing. I called it to their attention and I was told that that it was there before and it was normal wear and that my car was old. I insisted it was near perfect when I dropped it off and asked to see the photos that were taken before.I was told that they erased them already. After inspecting my car later I noticed many new large scratches on the vinyl panels and the leather seat and console. It looked like someone had a keyring on their belt in the driver's seat and it it made that damage. I also noticed that more than 50 miles were put on my car since leaving it there. They offered to ask their detaill guy to see what they might do to fix the piping on the seat. I'll have to drop my car off again for him to even see what could be done. Ummm, no way. I'll never let them near my car again. I only brought it here because it's under warranty. If you want to wait forever and have your car damaged... This is the place for you read more

Terrible service center. Made an appointment for an inspection and an oil consumption test that was started at another Hyundai dealer (a Hyundai engine had an issue out of state, surprising). They said no problem. As the appointment approached, we need to replace the front engine splash shield. Again told no problem. Then the problems started. They called back and said I needed to prepay for the part. Called back to give them the credit card and they said since it was after 2p (it was 2:03p) they wouldn't have the part in time. Ok, rescheduled for the following day at 11. Oh, but they can't do the oil consumption test that they already scheduled. It has to start at their dealer although the other deal and first scheduler told me they could do it. Get an email reminder for my appointment at 10a. Call, because can't make 10a. Tell me no new appointment can be made for 4 weeks. On Friday, they had three available appointments on Tuesday but on Saturday nothing for 4 weeks. I explain the problem and am told that a service manager will call me back. No call back. I call them again Monday morning. They tell me it is my fault, they don't understand who would have ordered the part because "I am giving them too much information" and that no one actually ordered the part. So even if I made the appointment the car wouldn't get repaired. The person I spoke to about the part told me the scheduler would loop back and confirm the part order. But this scheduler says it is my fault and I needed to speak to the parts department directly despite being told the opposite by the other two Conicelli employees. The scheduler blamed this on me. I always try to have my cars serviced by conicelli, but it has gotten to the point where it just so inconvenient. For a simple oil change it is taking close to 2 hrs for something that literally takes 10 min. Don't mind waiting an hour or so, but 2 hrs is unacceptable. read more

The staff and my advisor were all friendly when I took my car in for a state inspection and oil change. The oil charge has increased quite a bit since my last oil change. They have me back for another oil change in 3000 miles. I have called the dealership service department to make sure I got synthetic oil and why I need to replace the oil in 3000 miles. I can't get through to a live person because they are busy and was told to leave a message and someone will call me back. It is almost at the end of the day and no one has called. Worst experience from a dealership I've ever encountered. This being my fourth year as a lessee with Hyundai, this whole ordeal has deterred me from purchasing or recommending Hyundai ever again. Two years with Hyundai in Abington was a great experience which led me to stay with Hyundai. But after dealing with Conicelli Hyundai, I would not refer them at all due to the unprofessionalism and a brash display of lack of empathy for paying customers. The service work was done in a timely manner. Joseph Sergi was not helpful whatsoever from beginning to end. He showed a lack of concern and understanding until there was something they needed in return which in this case was the loaner vehicle. Upon my vehicle being towed to their shop, which I was told twice on the phone by service reps that no loaners were available. Until I expressed my disdain online, a loaner magically became available the same day. In addition, my car was damaged either in route or in possession of the dealership. There were lower front and middle fender damages to the body and undercarriage. After several attempts via my insurance company, I was left with a damaged vehicle. After an extensive investigation henceforth proving the dealership was responsible for the damages, I was immediately written off stating it was the tow company's fault. This review consisted of requests for photos and video footage of activity on their premises, in which I was initially told was against company policy to release photos and that I was to return the loaner immediately. I eventually received surveillance footage after a grueling duration of time only after refusing to not return the loaner prior to the agreed return date. My insurance rep stated that it was conveyed to him that it would cost $300.00 to release photos to the insurance company, leaving me stuck with an estimate of a thousand dollars plus in body damage. The tow company had also provided photo documentation of my vehicle with no damage prior to and after delivery. However, the company I pay hundreds of dollars to monthly for one of their vehicles were absolutely of no help. Never before have I witnessed such a lack of accountability and customer support from a dealership, especially owning a car still under it's original warranty. This entire experience with Conicelli Hyundai was an absolute disappointment costing me valuable time, unnecessary stress and hundreds in car rentals and insurance deductibles. The only reason I provided two stars was the fact the service manager Pat McGarry had stepped in to arbitrate some of the issues, otherwise the ball was dropped in this instance read more

I don't think I've ever had such awful customer service from a service department. I feel so bad for the people taking the calls because they literally get the brunt of customers calling complaining and it's really not fair to them. My car has been with this Service Dept for five days now and when I tell you I cannot get anyone on the phone to speak to me about my car I am not exaggerating. They just want to send you texts and not respond or address their customer concerns with actual conversations. I recently moved to the area so I only picked this location because it was close my home, but I'll be finding a new service home. I only gave two stars (because the min is one star anyway) because of the customer service reps are actually nice and try their best to get people to answer the phones, but they have zero luck. The service Dept received my tow, saw I had no oil, then tried to just had the car back to me like having ZERO oil is normal and not indicative of a deeper issue, especially considering they did my last 2 or 3 oil changes. Clearly something else is wrong, but the indifference to consumer safety is appalling. I'm not sure if this is indicative of the manufacturer or not, but this is my first and last Hyundai purchase. read more

As a retired driver it's easy to just be a grumpy old man. I try not to be. I have given excellent reviews of this service org, in the past. But currently it's just not as good as it was. 1. Grumpy - when I walked in everyone in that area wouldn't make eye contact. I felt like the invisible man begging for service - a nuisance. 2. The visit lasted for 2 hrs. I was waiting for my car. 3. Whining - was told the part being replaced was difficult and time-cosuming to install. 4. The oil change/filter cost around $80. It used to be free(could be mistaken about that). 5. Grumpy - Using the Covid scare as an excuse, they no longer offer a coffee stand - they even took the machine away. Having a complimentary cup of coffee is a given at any business where you are waiting. Especially there, where there is no place to walk and get some coffee. I do like the place but may find some where else to go next time I need service. read more

My wait time was so bad I'm embarassed to put it on here. let's just say it was several hours. There were no updates so I had no idea what was going on. I couldn't help but notice my car wasn't even in the service garage until the last hour or so I was there ( i went out and checked myself). When I complained nothing was done. Conicelli Hyundai's service team is always thorough and professional. I had to go in for a state inspection and an oil change, but I also knew that my right rear tire had a leak and may need to be changed. The service team was able to locate the leak and patch it without having to change the tire. I also was eligible for a free state inspection since I purchased my vehicle at this location, so my charges were only $94 for Pennsylvania emissions, the oil change, and a tire patch. STAY AWAY FROM HERE. Didn't buy my car from this dealer but I can confirm that their service department is a nightmare to deal with...at least from my personal experience. I have a 2021 Kona and the engine went at 27k. Since they are the closest dealer, Hyundai told me that it needs to be towed there. On Tuesday evening, spoke to a someone from the dealer who informed me that their earliest appointment would be May 9th, over a month away. It's already stressful enough having your engine fall apart on your two year old car at 27k miles, but to then be told that they won't even LOOK at it for over a month is insane. Who care about that stupid 100k mile warranty if you're without a car for a couple months. Employee told me he was going to speak to his manager about getting an earlier appointment. He told me that I would hear back from his manager that day or first thing the following morning. Next day comes, no contact. Fast forward to today and I get a call/voicemail from an employee who said, "I was told to call you back because something's wrong with your car, our soonest appointment is May 9th...". Apparently, there's some serious disconnect with communication between their employees. I tried one more time, woman answered and told me that they aren't taking any "big jobs" until after May 9th. If I needed an oil change, they would get me in sooner but for anything like this, I would need to wait and basically be without a car for months, which is crazy. She then clarified if I bought my car from them, which I didn't, and told me to contact the dealer than I bought the car from. So basically...you'll get treated like a second-rate customer if you did not purchase your vehicle directly from them. This experience really made me NEVER want to purchase a vehicle from them in the future. Thanks Conicelli for the let down and unprofessionalism. I'm not sure if I can still recommend Hyundai (I'll have to see what happens with my car), but if you're going to buy a Hyundai, I'd recommend doing it at one of the other dozen dealerships in the Philadelphia area. read more

Daughters car needed a new engine as the result of many mysterious mechanical issues and the Hyundai engine recall. The process took more than five months since the engine was back ordered. Thankfully she was given a loaner car for the duration. Finally got the car back and life goes back to normal. Remember those endless Hyundai commercials back in December, touting Hyundai's Sign-and-Drive offer? TV commercials never influence me to buy something I don't already intend on buying, but those commercials lured me like moth to flame. I told my wife I was interested in buying a Hyundai, to which she replied, "A Hyundai?! But they're cheap cars." I told her she was wrong, since Hyundais are now quality vehicles. So we take a vacation to Texas. And what did we rent by sheer coincidence?... A Hyundai Santa Fe! After a week of driving, both my wife and I were highly impressed by what we experienced. I decided to buy a brand-new Santa Fe. I checked the Conicelli Hyundai website and saw they had the absolute perfect red 2023 Santa Fe SEL en route to the dealership. I went the the dealership, spoke with Abraham Holmes (a terrific guy) and plopped-down $1,000 to reserve the SUV. A few days later, it arrived. I made a deal for no money down (and no trade-in) PLUS 0% interest for 48 months. And they accepted the offer! (I actually gave a total of $1,550, to round-out the monthly payment amount, but it was essentially a Sign-and-Drive deal.) Let me tell you, the process was so smooth and easy.
