What a terrible experience with this so-called audiologist Walter Cox. He told us that we need hearing aids after hearing exams. My hubby and myself are in medical field, We like to do some research and mat get 2nd opinion. Walter become nasty after our explanation , saying " If you don't have hearing problem , why did you come to here? " " You are able to afford them financially" ...,. Unbelievable!! We thought our vacation was ruined. I wasn't optimistic, but I checked on Yelp to see if there might be an audiologist anywhere in the valley working on Saturday. I was hoping for a miracle. And I found one! Dr. Young answered the phone, asked us to send over a picture of the devices, and said he'd be happy to try and help. And he was only 9 minutes from the house we were renting! We drove to his house, with tubing, super glue, and skill - he fixed the hearing aid, and our family vacation was saved. We are so very grateful.

The audiologist I saw (and highly recommend) was Mary Horn. I think there are several others but I loved Mary. I was fitted for my first hearing aid "ReSound" brand. It syncs with my iPhone and I love the app and also being able to listen to books, music, phone calls directly through my hearing aids. It has changed and improved my life more than I can express.

One of the assistants came into the waiting, and asked me if it was ok to have Dr Gull's P.A. start the exam. I said "That would be fine." I'm getting ahead of my self. Let's start at the beginning. When I entered the office, mind you I've never been here before, and walked up to the reception desk. I'm a first time patient, so I was anticipating a nice welcome. NOPE, not even eye contact, just a "What's your name". Such a cold, unwelcoming greeting, which put a bad taste in my mouth, and this isn't even a restaurant. "Fill out these forms just the lines that are highlighted", she said curtly. It took me less than 5 minutes to fill out the forms. When I handed them back to her she said "Did you bring your drivers license"? "What do you need my drivers license for, I'm self pay?" I said. "We need it for your file." she said without eye contact. Strange for a receptionist to act that way. When did they start asking for divers licences? She asked for my credit card, scanned it, and charged me $175.00 for the visit today. (Shouldn't I get a discount if the P.A. gave the exam not the actual Dr?) Back to the exam room, Amanda came in, she was so nice. She asked me a few questions, looked in my ears, asked me if I wanted her to take out my build up of ear wax. I said "Yes." She took the wax build up out very quickly with no problems, and sent me on my way. When we walked out of the exam room, Dr Gull just made it to the office, he introduced himself, (he's very tall), and shook my hand. I told him Amanda took good care of me in his absence. He was please to know that. Now back to the unfriendly receptionist/cashier. Normally when you leave a Dr's office you make another appt, or just walk out the door. I didn't know what to do, I knew I didn't need another appointment. She informed me that it would be another $184.00, ($92.00 per ear), on top of the $175.00 I had already paid. A WHOPPING $359.00! Mind you Amanda did NOT say there was an additional charge PER EAR, to take out the wax. I believe that should have been explained BEFORE this procedure was done, especially if you are self pay. My appointment was at 9:00am, when I walked out of the office, the clock said it was 9:16am. In and out, leaving my head spinning.

I cannot believe I can't remember her name today, senior moment I guess!!! they were very very professional I was told about them through another person who has gotten her hearing aids through them, and couldn't say enough about how great they are! So I went there and I can hear !!!! I thank them from the bottom of my heart for helping me ! The office is small, but very, very adequate! The best part is, they took me right in , no waiting, no waiting in the room, and very nice! Also, I have heard that restaurant noise and things like that really bug your hearing aids and I'm here to tell you it is nothing like that! I was really paying attention to that very thing when I went to lunch today! Cannot say enough about his business!!! Terrific!
