How happy you are with some contractor is sometimes not defined by what they did well but defined by how badly they messed up. While I appreciated his input during the design phase and his work ethics, the mess on a couple of camera installs has left a completely bad taste. When the pre-wiring was done for the security camera, I don't know why the pre-wire had to be right next to the light. Jacob apparently thought that it was going be a sconce - but communication is important. Don't assume - if not sure, ask. So his pre-wiring would be fine if it was a sconce but definitely not OK for the flood light. Even after that happened, I knew that there is no way the camera would fit. And I told him that it would be OK to have the wire come down and then mount the camera below the light. I was really surprised when he told me that he was able to fit the camera and the light. When I checked later, I was shocked at what was done. Not only the floodlight jammed into the camera doesn't look nice, it also cuts off all the light to that side of the house. When I mentioned this issue, he offered to fix it but at this point I don't know how one fixes this since there are additional holes drilled into the siding and the rock that would be visible to make the thing even worst. I certainly did not expect this level of goof up when you pay a professional to do a job. One other thing to add is that when the pre-wiring was done, he kept talking about using toning to figure out the location. Fortunately, I had taken pictures to help with that - otherwise I think he would be spending a lot more time to figure out the speaker locations. This was my time getting a home built - so I did not know what to expect but I would that a professional would know to take some good pictures/measurements so that the finish phase is easier. read more

I hired Jacob 3 times, first time for wiring cat6 cable for whole house + ubiquiti cameras, 2nd time smart light stuff, and lastly mounting 75" TV. He's very friendly and professional, and organized our cables really well. Our house had lots of old wires, essentially every owner did some new wiring but never removed old ones, it was a big headache and Jacob cleaned them all as part of job without much additional charge. On August 19, Jacob and his assistant installed a complete 5.1.2 home theater system for me. I used Jacob's company to purchase all of the audio and video components. He also ran 14 gauge speaker wire in the ceiling to replace the 16 gauge wire the home builder had previously installed. I began corresponding with Jacob last March regarding my home theater plans and he was always very responsive and personable and he helped me tremendously with selecting the TV and everything else for my system. All of the products were purchased through Jacob's company. Jacob was very timely, very thorough, and did a great job of cleaning up when he was finished. The job included mounting the 75" Samsung QLED TV on the wall and it looks GREAT (with no cords or wires showing). He is a master at "wire management" so that you barely see any of the wires connecting any of the speakers or any wires going into or out of the media cabinet. All-in-all, it was a very "clean" install. He also honored COVID-19 restrictions by wearing a mask during the entire time he was here. He not only installed the system, he also set everything up (including programming the remote) to be sure that everything worked (and sounded) like it should. Although it wasn't part of his contract, he set up my RING doorbell, too! I am so very pleased as to how great the system sounds and looks. I wished we found Jacob before hiring the other AV contractor. We would have saved a lot of money and time. Jacob and his partner knows what they are doing. Jacob is great on follow through and does great work. They adjusted and installed our TV mounts, fixed our Universal Remotes, installed Nest cameras, security system, and door bell. Reworked our network in our brand new home as our internet was very sluggish. Due to Jacobs help, we are on our way to having an automated smart home. He helped us install switches and outlets to work with the Wink system that I can control from my phone, as well as, install keyless entry locks and garage door openers that are also managed through my phone. We upgraded our whole house to the Sonos sound system with Alexa assistant that everyone in the house can enjoy. I am working on a small bedroom that is being converted to a "man cave" with multiple uses. Because of the small size of the room and the husband's wish for a large TV, I decided that having one installed on the wall would be the best solution. I was very fortunate to find Lo Vo Sol who did a wonderful wonderful job installing a TV on the wall. In addition to installing a 55" TV that they purchased at my request for no additional cost, they helped me to decide on the proper size of TV that would be appropriate for the room. They also installed a wall console I purchased to hold other TV equipment. Their installation of the TV and console looks fabulous with no wires showing as I requested and is their regular practice. What was really great is that the owner and his assistant were so informative that the husband asked for their advice on additional equipment. They made me comfortable having them in the home owners house. One thing that was very important to me is that they were very business-like and provided all information in writing and a written contract that reflected the changes that I requested.
