The greatest yoga studio ever! Between the space, students and teachers it is truly a place to restore and sweat the mind, body and soul!

CT Power Yoga is a truly special place - I was new to yoga in general and honestly quite skeptical of the whole thing beyond the chance for a sweaty work out - but the space that Aimee and Tim have created not only gives you a work out (and sweaty it is!) but also truly a wonderful community of teachers and others who attendee. The vibe is fun and energetic while still providing a sense of restoration and calming. I felt instantly welcomed when I first arrived. The classes are designed in a way that whether you are a beginner or someone that has done yoga forever - you are in the right place. In the 9 months or so that I have been going to CT Power Yoga I can feel myself expanding in the physical Yoga practice as well as connecting with myself and others better mentally. I truly fell in love with yoga - but really it was this place and this community - as I have tried 3 other studios while on vacation and left each one disappointed because it wasn't the same as I had back home. The formats of the classes are all a little different, some play music while others are more traditional and even once a week a class with hip-hop playing (trust me it just works). So try them all. And a big shout out to the teachers that work alongside of Aimee and Tim - they are a big part of why the place is great - with special shout outs to Marian and Dorian who are more than absolutely fabulous in all ways. So even if you think yoga isn't your thing, but are willing to keep an open mind, stop in for a class and you might find yourself very surprised! read more

I had moved into Downtown Stamford just over a year ago and shortly after began going to Connecticut Power Yoga. This studio has truly been one of the best parts of Stamford for me. Not only are the classes and instructors amazing, but Aimee and Tim Elsner have done an amazing job at building a community that is engaging and welcoming. In the past year I have made close friends here, and have truly made yoga a part of my daily life. Initially when I joined the studio I was hoping to find an exercise program that would help me lose weight. I found that and so much more here. I lost over 45 pounds since becoming a member. Additionally, I have attended workshops and programs that have helped me develop in my career and in my personal life. CT Power Yoga has become a second hOMe for me in 2016/17. Before I met Tim and Aimee Elsner, I was unfamiliar with Baptiste yoga. I have attended warm/hot power in the past, but nothing like what CT Power Yoga has given me. I found myself. I made new friends. I opened my mind. I created more space for myself. The studio is very convenient to downtown Stamford and is reasonably priced. With the addition of recent teacher training, the Elsner's have added so many classes to the schedule too. This is the best yoga studio I have ever been to. They teach hot Baptise Power yoga classes , and share enpowering positive messages at every class. The owner couple, Aimee and Tim, are full of compassion and build the studio as a hub for the community and connection. The teachers and students are so welcoming, they encourage everyone coming to the studio to not just practice yoga but also to embark on a journey into setting positive intentions on and off the matt through yoga pratice and self inquiry. The classes are empowering and make you feel great after a good sweat. I have benefited from practicing yoga at the studio so much for the past three years, that I decided to take their Teacher Training program from September 2018 to February 2019 so I can share my experience with others through teaching yoga. I am now a certified yoga teacher and I cannot say enough how much I love CT Power Yoga and the amazing people I met there. Once you take one class there, you will fall in love with this studio. Absolutely love everything about CT Power Yoga!! It took me 24 years to discover my love for yoga, and boy am I happy it was Baptiste Yoga at this location. I'M ADDICTED! The staff is so warm, fun, bubbly and loving and the classes are the perfect combination of fun, challenging and healing. I can't recommend the studio enough!! Connecticut Power Yoga is hands down one of the best studios I have ever been to. I have tried a few other yoga places in the area and I can say without question that this is the best studio around. Aimee, Tim and the rest of their amazing team are so genuinely passionate about Baptiste Power Yoga and sharing their energy, positivity and practice with each yogi that walks through the door.
