A Most Curious Encounter in the Apothecary's Hall…read more Hark! Upon a fair and modest eve, mine errand did guide me to yonder house of Walgreens, where humble folk procure their balms, tinctures, and potions of modern make. Lo, as I did tread the aisle where soaps in abundance rest--fragrant bricks of lavender, rosemary, and milked honey--I beheld a sight most strange and wondrous: a man, noble in bearing, and of curious name--Brodius. There he stood, bold as any lion in the field, clutching a bar of lye-born delight. Without shame or hesitation, he did place the soap upon his tongue, and with solemn grace did chew, as though it were a feast fit for kings. I dared not speak, for awe held my tongue, but his eyes did meet mine, and he spake thus: "The suds, good sir, do cleanse not only flesh, But soul and sin alike. Wilt thou partake?" Nay, I partook not--but in that moment, I knew I was in the presence of a legend. The staff, though sore confused, did naught but gaze, for none could halt a man so resolute in purpose. Brodius vanished 'ere the hour turned, leaving naught but a trail of citrus-scented valor. Would I return to this hallowed hall? Aye, a thousand times aye.

Both the drive-up window and instore pickup lines are long and slow. They are understaffed but even if they had enough staff there is nowhere to put them. The physical pharmacy space itself is tiny. The retail store is large; one would think that the pharmacy would deserve larger and more efficient space. The instore waiting area is not well lit. The worst thing, though, a pharmacist there told me that Eliquis and clopidogrel (Plavix) are the same thing. They are completely different drugs and act in different ways. Be careful of any advice you get from a pharmacist there.

After 20 years of the same medication from express scripts they decide to go with a different…read moremanufacturer. This different manufacturer's composition of the medication caused me to have SEVERE side effects. They were probably CHEAPER than the original medication. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, USE EXPRESS SCRIPTS FOR ANY IMPORTANT MEDICATION. Trying to straighten this out has been a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend Express Scripts for any prescription. This could happen to you.

After being sent to Express Scripts by Cigna (won't do that again), I've been dealing with them for…read moreyears. a)if there's a problem with your prescription, they don't let you know. You sit around, wondering where the heck your meds are before deciding to call & the heavily accented person (no idea where their call center is) attempts to tell you why you haven't received. Does you no good when you're out & must now get transferred to CVS or wherever; b) I had repeatedly tried to cancel a med I took myself off but due to an overlap with doctor's orders, the meds were shipped to me anyway. When I called them about this, they denied I ever cancelled & blah blah blah but I could return for credit when received. Fast forward to me doing EXACTLY as I was advised to them denying my claim for a credit on an unopened package of medication (that I'd previously cancelled) because it isn't their policy to return medications (not what I was told) & since my medication was already destroyed, they couldn't be sent back to me. I would've given my very mild medication to somebody who could've used it before returning if I didn't think I'd be credited. Now, I'm out $90 with nothing to show for it. My complaint was elevated & I've told them to cancel everything. I will drive to Costco monthly if I have to, better than they acid in my stomach dealing with these incompetent liars. Can you imagine how much money they make every day? I trusted them when they told me what to do (& despite not cancelling the med as I'd requested multiple times) this is my fault/problem. I used to work in customer service where the customer was ALWAYS right. Wrote of thousands of $$ a day. This is what I get.
