Unless I can't breathe, I would rather suffer alone at home. I've been to Dr's offices where you spend twice as much time waiting than receiving care. I have known Dr Garbis for a very long time since our kids grew up playing football together. But I only started going to him maybe 3 years ago along with my son. Let me tell you, what a world of difference. No longer are there any reluctance. The staff is professional, courteous, friendly and actually pretty fun to be around from start to finish. And they are really efficient. Hardly any waiting at any of the times I've been there. I even had to change schedule but none was available for the time that I needed for months. So I requested they put me on a wait list for that time if it showed up. Sure enough, they contacted me within a month because someone cancelled. Again, in and out like clockwork. I met Dr. Bonebreak and was blown away by not only his professionalism but how comfortable he made me feel. I am also very observant, this man has manners. I am big on always saying thank you to those around you! I noticed he always thanks his staff and is professional with them but you can tell he is kind. The young lady who assisted me with my Invisalign today was very knowledgeable, I was nervous about getting them. A little more so when I realized I had to wear them on the bottom and the top to fix the lowers. She put all that to rest for me. Walked me through maintaining them, and answered my 56 questions. I also noticed how thorough Dr. Bonebreak was with his notes on my teeth. Dr. Bonebreak wrote so much to ensure he was giving the best possible service. This makes me happy since I am spending a little over 6k to essentially make my teeth perfect. My older son has received treatment there for the last two years. My younger son went in today to have an upper treatment started. He is 9 and will need a lot of work done over time. We agreed on this treatment plan pictured here in October. Today I was told that if I needed to also agree to start lower expander treatment, which would add thousands to the bill. I explained to the doctor that I was a single mom of three children and I needed to take the treatment one step at a time. We had agreed on this plan and I was prepared to pay for this and get the upper treatment today. Dr. Selnick said that she was "not comfortable taking me on as a client" because essentially she needs her clients to be able to jump when she says to jump. That if I didn't "trust her" enough to have a good relationship and allow her to begin all of the treatments at once that she couldn't treat my son. She said she would consider it if I signed a paper saying they thought it would be best to do both upper and lower treatments and I said I would sign it. Then she said "it doesn't matter, I don't think you are the right fit for me." So to be clear, the right fit for Dr. Selnick is someone with money, who doesn't ask questions, who doesn't expect the agreed-upon treatment or payment plan to be accepted. Be ready to be asked (or demanded) to pay exponentially more and asked to leave if you push back. I'm mortified.
