The chicken and waffles were so good. The blueberry waffle was delicious and the waffle with strawberries and barbecue sauce was so good as well. The service was delicious and the ambience was pretty busy because it's Lexington market and there's always interesting people here I would come again.

Chicken and waffle.... Connie's Triple Mix

Stopped at the Charles Plaza location while on lunch for jury duty. Young man at register was nice... order took a few mins so it was made to order. I ate inside of the Plaza which is not the best but it was peaceful. My food was perfect.. waffle & chicken was piping hot just how I like it. I ate everything in that container! I believe I picked the Triple mix and that was tasty, not too sweet.

The weather was nice so had to come grab peach tea half and half . The wait was short and the we use was pleasant :. Unfortunately it was just okay, even with a cup full of ice ... the tea did not hit like I thought it was suppose to. It was just oka

I was in town for the weekend and came across Connie's near the hotel. At first I couldn't tell if it was open because the "food court" had a lot of closed down spots but sure enough, Connie's is there! It only got better from there because ordering was super easy on the tablet. There was a short wait while they made both the chicken & waffle to-order but that only means they'll be as fresh and hot as can be... and they were! Absolutely delicious. The syrup came in a cup on the side and it was the final piece to the puzzle. Don't judge it by its looks! The food is stellar!

I ordered the peach tea, I did not get a hint of peach. It was just a sweet syrupy tea with a hint of flavor that did not taste like peach. I opened up my order and had to ask myself what I did to deserve it. It just looked so unappealing. I had to pick up an exam in the waffle because I did not see any colorful specs as it is usually presented in the photos, but I saw a few along the edges. When I called, the person that picked up the phone said that the waffle would be topped with crunchberry pieces and that it was not very sweet. I did not get any of that display. The chicken breast tenders are not good at all. They were moist, but I was not picking up any flavor at all.

It's a bit run down. Old televisions, old furniture and pretty dirty. So far not impressed.

I was sadly let down by this place. It was in a little strip mall food court that was dead and deserted. The chicken was a little overdone. The syrup was cold and overall it was underwhelming.

What a difference a day makes! I have to give a 5-star rating this go round. Management swiftly responded to the elusive powdered sugar with a free meal! I am grateful. Destiny was charming, a complete contrast. Communication is vital, and Connie's Chicken and Waffles has it down. Every day won't be a bad day, but it's good to know someone is looking out!

The food court area is a little depressing, although we went on a weekday morning so perhaps it's more lively on the weekends? That didn't serve the restaurant well though as it's just gray and uncomfortable. The food was okay, it felt like something you would get from a college cafeteria, I liked the waffle, probably wouldn't go again. The guy serving us was nice though, and it seems like they make everything to order.

In this climate cleanliness is extremely important/necessary. Staff was friendly and I wanted to try this establishment for some time now. After seeing the up keep and food food handling safety... I'll pass. Hopefully they will see this review and take it as a quick leaning experience and improve before the Health Department steps in.

SHUT THE FLUFF UP! SO GOOOOD!!!…read more We were in Baltimore with a few hours to spare in the morning, so what to do?!? First thing that comes to mind is... crab for breakfast! Ok yelp, show me watcha gat!!! Oh, AND Open Early! Unfortunately, we have just a few options pop up (Wha?!? REALLY?!? It's Baltimore, aren't they famous for crab?!?), so we choose to hit Blue Moon Cafe! Yelp directions are on point and only street parking from what we can see. We brave the brisk chilly breeze of early May to get to the cafe... BRRRR!!! Inside motif has a dark theme to it and small patronage area. Per the lovely Nicki who greeted us, Blue has been on Food Network a few times... DDD, Best Things I Ever Ate & Destination FOOD... so settin' the bar HIGH from the start! Ok, okay I dig the confidence!! Menu is via QR code but Nicki, becuz she's fun, excitedly announces the recs to the newbies, which are Sweet Baby Jesus & Cap'n Crunch French Toast. Thanks for the heads up! Sweet Baby has lump Crab in the dish so that's a confident YES! for that, but I spy something more appealing than Cap'n Crunch... Let's EAT! SWEET BABY JESUS!: Wifey and I wanted crab and this was Blue's big gun! So YES! To The Dish! It may appear as a simple Hash Brown dish but it is so much GLORIOUS than that! To start, Hash browns are browned & crisped perfectly and then the angel's touch happens... lump crab (generous portion) with Old Bay Seasoning, fresh diced tomatoes, melty cheese, 2 over Medium eggs and homemade Hollandaise Sauce. HOLEY MOLEY! DEEE-LISH! Generous crab serving allows you to have crab with EVERY bite of this dish! Mmmmm :) Love the ooey gooey stretchy cheese! Love the runny eggs! And that Hollandaise?!?! LEGIT! This heavenly dish deserves all the hype! The only drawback was the dish got cold fast because of the cold weather outside I assume. By the time I finished my order, and got to helping Wifey, not as WOWzers compared to when it first dropped on our table. Now we know... eat fast when it's cold outside. lol SHUT THE FLUFF UP! FRENCH TOAST: Once I read "peanut butter" in its ingredients, no way I was passing this up! Buh Bye fan fave Cap'n Crunch, maybe next time lol. Officially, menu "says" it's a Pretzel encrusted French Toast, layered with chunky peanut butter, marshmallow fluff and Chocolate drizzle... allegedly. The chocolate drizzle was not present when the plate landed but generous melty smooth peanut butter completely covered the top of the marshmallow fluff. Sliced Granny Smith apples and thin pretzels also topped the dish, with a powdered sugar drizzle over the entire plate. I asked for extra peanut butter on the side just because no one ever puts enough for my liking lol. And whattya know?!? This newest iteration of the dish was FABULOUS! Did they run out of stuff? Who cares! The synergy these items had with each other just made an amazing bite each and every time. BOMB-alicious!!! I don't really like marshmallow but it wasn't a hindrance here. I devoured the entire thing. Compliments to the chef! ;) VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION! Definitely worth a visit and a return visit, as well! If it's cold outside, focus on eating not chit chatting lol ENJOY! :)

My husband and I recently dined at Blue Moon Cafe in Fells Point, Baltimore, and were disappointed…read moreby our experience. The issue began when my husband politely asked a question about a menu item because it appeared to be spelled "browns" rather than "hash browns." He simply wanted clarification regarding what the item was. The server asked him for context, and he explained that he was referring to the item as it appeared on the menu. She then replied, "Oh, now I have context. That's a hash brown." My husband explained that because of the way it was written, he wasn't sure what it meant and was only asking a question before ordering. At that point, the server's tone became noticeably louder, and she responded, "Well, I only work here. I didn't write the menu." We found this response unnecessarily defensive and dismissive. At no point was my husband criticizing the server or correcting her. He was simply trying to understand a menu item. Shortly afterward, a different server began assisting our table, which gave us the impression that the original server was upset by the interaction. When my husband placed his order, he specifically requested that the restaurant's "animal sauce" be served on the side. The menu does not explain what animal sauce is, so he wanted to try it separately before putting it on his meal. When the food arrived, the dish was completely covered in the sauce rather than having it on the side as requested. Afterward, we learned that the sauce is a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise. My husband does not eat mayonnaise and ketchup on eggs, which is exactly why he requested the sauce on the side. Unfortunately, because of the uncomfortable interaction earlier, he did not feel comfortable asking for the dish to be corrected and simply tried to eat around it. The meal was not inexpensive, and because the sauce had been poured over most of the food, he was unable to enjoy it. Approximately 80% of his meal was left uneaten. We understand that mistakes happen and that restaurant environments can be busy. However, customers should be able to ask questions about menu items and make simple requests without feeling uncomfortable or concerned about how those requests will be received. Description of waitress: Caucasian Middle aged Heavy set Extremely loud voice Rude ( nice/nasty) We wanted to share this feedback because the interaction negatively impacted our dining experience and left us feeling unwelcome. We hope this feedback is received in the spirit intended so that future guests feel comfortable asking questions and making requests without concern.

My girlfriend and I decided to check out the brunch here. Our server was Montez who informed us…read morethat he was the only server and asked us to bear with him which we really appreciated. Our order was taken once Montez was able to make his way back. We also were told that the bartender called out which left a deficit in their coverage but I loved how everyone shared in making sure they helped in anyway they could. Our food came out in a reasonable time. I got scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, turkey bacon, and glazed apples. My girlfriend got scrambled egg whites, regular bacon, and pancakes. We also got a bottle of Prosecco for the table. The food was came out hot and prepared to our liking. It was several people celebrating birthdays so the energy was nice and the DJ was definitely on point! There was also an option to purchase hookah if that's your thing. The GM came over and introduced himself and we were checked on often between our server and the young lady that was hosting. We really appreciated the transparency on the staff coverage which makes all the difference. There is parking lot right behind the establishment that requires payment. They also have street parking it just depends on your preference. We definitely plan to return for a drag brunch which they also host:)

I've really tried to give this place grace, but I can't give it any more of my business. Of my…read moreseveral visits, the only consistently positive experience I've had is Jasmine's service. Even during busy times I've been where she was the only server working, she's always really pleasant and never made me feel rushed. This review is about tonight's experience. After picking up my order (by foot), I get home and see that someone named Maurice called to let me know only half my order was given to me (I believe he's the manager). I asked if he could just credit that portion of my order, and he said I'd have to do it through the app (there's not an option to do so). There was no offer to have the order delivered to me so I just walked back to pick it up. He did apologize for the inconvenience when he handed me the bag, and said he put a $10 card in the bag. When I got home and open up the food (dinner-sized scallops entree), they gave me the smallest scallops I'd ever seen, they were not pan-seared (or under-seared), were rubbery and had NO flavor. This was not worth the price, the inconvenience of walking a half-mile back to the restaurant for, and def not worth the $10 card that I'd have to spend $30 to unlock on an order that automatically includes gratuity. I hope if this happens to a patron in the future, they will consider having the order delivered, and at least throw in a complimentary appetizer or dessert if it's too much of a hassle to credit them. As for the food quality...i just want them to do better. The place is beautiful and I want them to succeed.

I really appreciated her vibe, and I noticed that when food is ready, she actually comes out from behind the counter to hand-deliver it to customers. That kind of small gesture goes a long way. The place is mostly carry-out, but there are a few bar-style seats if you want to eat there. The menu isn't your typical fast food lineup either, they've got some creative, non-traditional options that definitely stand out. We tried the Jerk Chicken Cheesesteak, Fried Chicken Sandwich, 1908 Chicken Cheesesteak, and Fish Tacos, and they were all delicious. Seriously, everything was seasoned well and packed with flavor, with the exception of our fries, which isn't the end of the world. The jerk cheesesteak had a nice kick without being too spicy, and the fried chicken sandwich had the perfect crunch. For drinks, we had the Strawberry Lemonade and the Peach Half & Half, both were refreshing and hit that perfect sweet spot without being too sugary. Overall, Café 1908 has a cool vibe, great food, and friendly service. It's one of those hidden gems you're glad you stumbled across.

I chose a jerk chicken quesadilla and my bf chose the cheesesteak melt. We also ordered a side of fries. I enjoyed the roasted peppers in my quesadilla. Overall, this spot was good and I'd order from here again.
