We have had the great luck and pleasure to work with Connie's Natural cleaning since we bought our house in Oakland almost 20 years ago. We love them. It's a very stable team we've had come to our house all this time. Team members might vary from week to week but we know them all. Everything sparkles when they've been here and we love to come home to our clean and fresh house. They are pleasant, respectful, and careful. Connie supplies all of the equipment and supplies. Of course you can discuss what you want used out not used in your house, and the details of what you want cleaned, but you don't have to do a thing after that. That said, we do find it both helpful and respectful to tidy up our stuff so they can spend their time cleaning rather than tidying. Most of the team members don't speak English, but we can communicate somewhat, and Connie is always available by text. We also had dogs for many years, and they were lovely with the dogs (do make sure your dogs are safe with new people and vacuums and such, though!). I've been using Connie's services, both personally and professionally for about a year. Connie and her teams are great!!! The ladies who come to my house always know exactly what to do to make it sparkle. One time they even cleaned the hair out of my hair brush!!! They gave me a window form 2-3, they didn't arrive by 3:15, I asked for an ETA and heard nothing back. A later start time will not work for my family's schedule and I can't sit around waiting for them. We are SO happy with the cleaning service. We have a 2 bedroom 2.5 bathroom home and it was left sparkling clean. Tam and Kim Anh showed up right on time, ready to go! They also had masks and gloves on right when they walked in. The service lasted about 3hrs and they didn't miss a thing. I have had other cleaning services come by my apartment in the last few months but none compare to the service provided by CNC. Connie and her wonderful team just deep cleaned my house yesterday. I was stunned by how thorough and diligent they were in cleaning. I deeply appreciate their work attitude and work ethic. They take their job seriously and try their very best. It took them almost a day to deep clean my house. I asked them to take break and offered them drinks a few times and they said they were ok. I thought about just letting it go - but remembered I first called Connie due to the great yelp reviews they get so want to give others fair warning. I first booked a deep cleaning. Connie came to the house, on time, was very professional and thorough - looking in all the nooks and crannies - and then gave me a price. We agreed and that service was fantastic. We then agreed to a monthly arrangement and she gave me a new price. The problem I have with this service is not the cleaning - it's the owner. After agreeing on a monthly service I was asked to confirm the appointment (would expect them to call me but oh, well). The 2nd appointment, when I called to confirm, she didn't have me on the schedule because it took longer to clean my house than she expected and "I'm not making any money". Remember, she's the one who set the price! She hemmed and hawed and I finally had to say, "Ok, what do you want?" and she gave me a new price. And I agreed to it. And she said they would come that Friday. They came that morning to say they couldn't come until 3:00. ?? Ok - that gave me time to run out and have a key made for them. At 3:00 I got a call that they'd be there at 4:30 or so. At 5:30 I called them and said no thanks, let's reschedule. They came by and picked up my house key. The following month I was coming home after a very long day at work (with an additional meeting tacked on) and was so looking forward to a nice, clean house. As I approached my front door I see her business card stuck in the door jamb - ?? I walk in and realize no one has been in the house. I called Connie and asked why someone came to my house to leave a business card but didn't come in and clean. "They lost your key." WTH? Why wouldn't you call me and tell me? She then said they'd tried - at which point I said no, no one tried to call me as I had no missed calls. There was no apology, no discussion of how this would be made right. I finally said I was too angry to talk to her any more and would no doubt speak to her the next day. I got busy and didn't call...but I find it unbelievable she never called me. That was a Thursday - the following Wednesday I called her and she wasn't quite sure who I was and wanted to know if I was on their schedule. When I reminded her I was the person whose house key they lost and the person who never got her house cleaned she remembered - and asked if she could call me back the following Tuesday as she was out of the country due to her father's illness. I agreed and said I was sorry about her father but would definitely like a return call. That was June 8th. I'm still waiting for that call - to find out how they lost my key, to get an apology and acknowledgement that their business practices leave much to be desired. The folks who did the cleaning were great, friendly and did a thorough job - but the poor scheduling and really poor customer service was quite an unpleasant surprise. read more

Her staff threw away important paperwork form my daughter's desk. I went through the garbage to find it. I asked to switch days and this was a problem as well. Communication was not good. Connie and I had emailed and I thought we had switched days. Well, the housekeepers showed up on the regular day and moved my son's invisalign retainer......behind a guitar amp. Attension to details is often missing from Connie's staff but if she herself does it or is present then its sparkling clean job. My recent cleaning, i was not able to go behind and check everything. Later I realized that job was poorly done, kitchen cabinets were partially cleaned leaving behind greasy cabinets over stove which need most cleaning and dust not cleaned off from some corners of the room. read more
