Brand new AC system- absolutely HIGHLY recommended company! I went with Connor AC based on a friend's recommendation (used for their AC system) and because they were local to me and easily accessible. Consult and walk thru was done by Jarred- absolutely professional in all mannerisms, dress, prompt, follow up, ...and easy on the eyes as well. I put the job off for a year bc it was just too much - cost too much and too much invasive work. I have a separate upstairs and downstairs AC units and the downstairs one literally breaks down every summer, electric bills skyrocket, house never gets cool, different guys adding all kinds of freon and tinkering around trying to get our house to cool down in 100deg Cali summers! Finally my downstairs one just broke down 80-85deg inside the house on a 100deg day. I called back Connor and asked them to update the proposal (post- Trump and tariffs) and was determined to make it work this time. My job entailed taking out my 2 old outdated builder's grade 10SEER fans in the backyard, then having the concrete that was custom built underneath them re-done. Then a whole new 16SEER Lennox top of the line system would be installed. And then it rained. Literally never rains in Cali but all 4 days of my proposed job showed forecasted rain!! Day 1- John and his helper Sebastian came to start the job. Work hours were about 8-2ish. They took time to prep and lay out floor covers to protect my carpet and tiles. Then they removed my 2 furnaces inside the attic thru a tiny 2x2 trap door in my closet! John and Sebastian work quietly and efficiently and really surprisingly make the most of their time! 4 days later I had 2 brand new AC units, got the heat working in these colder winter temps, John even re-routed my ducts to improve airflow and basically cleaned up my attic - which now resembles a fully functional clubhouse! Such clean and detailed work! I'm so happy I went with Connor AC and so impressed with the work done by John and Sebastian. They're quiet and clean and so professional. I know this because I asked and was told by Eric (a technician of theirs) that he couldn't tell me anything. He wouldn't even tell me if the issue was resolved or not. Felt like I was overcharged...Connor had installed our AC system in 2017. Just recently it stopped working so we asked Connor to come take a look. They charge $120 just to come out for diagnostic - which does NOT come off the eventual service. The guy came and said that it was a broken capacitor and quoted $600. I would've loved to shop around for a better price but unfortunately I was already $120 in the hole, so told him to replace it. Turns out capacitors only cost under $50 and typically the AC labor should be under $400. So I kind of felt like they were really overpriced. They were good with making the appointment and coming out at the time window tho. So they get the job done, just not cheap. read more

In 2008, Connor installed a new AC and new ducts in my attic. When they removed the old ducts, they said that they had asbestos. They also told me that they would disconnect them and leave them in the attic. Now, I am planning to install new insulation in the attic, several independent companies and Dennis from the Temple City, Building Department, told me that they should have NEVER disconnect the ducts and left them there. They should have stopped the job and they should have advised me to have them removed properly. On October 11th of this year, I contacted Connor and spoke with the secretary and son's owner. They remember doing the job, but DENIED leaving the ducts with asbestos. This was very unprofessional of Connor to have done this. read more

This is a big ticket item and it's so important to feel confident that you're getting what you need at the right price. At first they are very professional and polite, until something goes wrong, we bought a brand new lennox ac and within a year and a half the heating element went bad, they said it's under warranty, bit it will cost $775 to repair, when I asked for a break down they refused and claimed they do not itemize their quotes. They said its all labor and warranty charges, well they ordered the parts and sent a tech to repair and he was done in less then 2 hours. I wish I can Make 3 $350 per hour, now I under stand why they refuse to itemize. Then the tech goes in attic and created a Crack in a newly remodeled home totally painted. When we called Jared and Tara he showed up a few days later and said it just settled, coincidence, the day his tech comes to fix it settled, the house was totally remodeled and paint was complete w months ago and my wife said how can it settle so fast, he said stuff happens. He walked in my home knowing he would not be responsible, we spent $200k on the remodel and the few hundred dollars it will take are not the point, thank God I can afford it, it was the smug attitude and the not disclosing the itemized repair that really upset me. Connor Air recently installed a four-zone 5-ton Lennox air conditioner/furnace to replace my inefficient 20-year old system. My old furnace was in the garage; the new one was installed in the upstairs attic. The job was quite extensive as they replaced the duct work, added several new supply registers and returns, four thermostats, new attic access, new refrigerant lines, electrical & gas lines, etc. Jarred was knowledgeable, professional, and answered all of my questions. I'm detail oriented and had lots of questions - about zoning, placement of the new furnace, equipment sizing, whether to install one or two separate systems in a two-story house, and how to get all of the utilities into the attic from the garage. A big factor in choosing Connor Air was they had installed a relative's air conditioner years earlier. It's quiet and still works amazing well after 12 years. On hot days it easily cools the home to a very comfortable level. About a week or two before the scheduled start of the estimated two-week long project I had to cancel due to a family emergency. Jarred was understanding about the situation and rearranged their work schedule to accommodate me until I could start the job about two months later. The installation crew, John, Francisco, Chris and Tim, were excellent. They were polite, respectful of my home, family, and elderly pet. They did excellent work, cleaned up each night before they left for the day and went out of their way to minimize the disruption. John, the lead installer, is extremely experienced and knowledgeable. He anticipated and answered all of my questions before I could ask them and at my request involved me as to the placement of new vents, thermostats, utilities, etc. The job was completed in about half the time estimated as Jarred was able to have four workers on the jobsite each day. Jarred Connor was a pleasure to deal with during the process of laying out the best system for our needs. The two guys who did the install were fabulous. They demonstrated an extremely high level of efficiency and knowledge of what they were doing. They were polite and cleaned up each day before they left. There were a couple of issues during the installation. One. had to do with scratches on the condenser. The scratches were not their fault but rather a shipping problem by the manufacturer. When I pointed them out I was told that they had already reported then and replacement parts would be ordered. The second issue was the result of the prior installation where the cold air return opening was not square. They let me know about the issue and that they would fix it. They did. It is this kind of attention to detail that makes doing business with Connor Air Conditioning and Heating such a great experience. Today I got a phone call from Jarred letting me know that all the parts with the exception of the new cold air return grill were in. He let me know the time frame for getting the grill. Once the grill arrives they will call to schedule a time to come and install all the parts. The cost of the system they installed was both fair and reasonable. I had called the company for my old house and they came by and said your better off keeping the system you have and doing abc.I liked their honesty so when I got my new home which had no system I called them up, they gave me a quote and when the workers came to start they were very good with our 4 dogs and I ended up getting along with them very well. I was quite disappointed when I called the office to schedule an appointment for maintenance and cleaning and the receptionist was very condescending and rude. She kept repeating that she wouldn't be able to schedule anything unless there was something wrong with my air conditioning. Well...let's see, it's been a few years and I hadn't had my filters replaced or cleaned so I basically wanted someone to do some upkeep on my system. It still operates, but I'm sure it could use a good cleaning and maintenance, that's all! And then she kept probing, telling me she needs to know that there's a problem with the AC otherwise why am I calling. I finally said, I think the unit could be blowing colder air! Then she says "See, now there's a problem! Now I can schedule you with a service technician." First off, if you don't offer just regular maintenance and cleaning service, then just say that, instead of probing for a problem. She then said there was a diagnostic fee of $105. I asked if that fee could be applied---got interrupted "I JUST SAID that it is an independent cost from any additional repair work" by her. I was shocked by how rude she was by interrupting me mid-sentence and making me feel dumb. I didn't want to give them my business after my experience with her. read more

We have been having several issues since the installation. Only after 4 years of the installation, we find out that our system is leaking. We had to pay to refill the refrigerant several times. Here is my experience: I call for service, explaining to the person taking my call that an animal got in the crawl space where unit is located and ripped the duct. The person taking my call tells me in order for them to know who to send out I need to provide pictures of the damage, I explained to her that it's in the crawl space and I can not provide pictures. The lady thought she put me on hold while she checks with her supervisor, I hear her mocking me " this is a Realtor for sure ( which I am not ) she can't crawl under the space and take a picture " the lady comes back to me, I tell her that she failed to put the call on hold and I heard every word she said, this is followed by silence, then she proceeds to tell me I have to provide pictures. I do not recommend using this company, the person taking my call was unfriendly and rude, the owner who called me back ( I requested for a supervisor to call me ) clearly has no sense of costumer service as well. she too sighted with her employee that they prefer costumers to provide pictures, even if it means to crawl in the crawl space. We installed a new unit 10'years ago and with permit pulled which is required by the city of San Marino . We didn't know the permit was not finalized after installation until we are selling the house recently . When call the company they only forwarded us a permit applied but not the finalized permit . When I question the lady working there , she said it's our responsibility to have the city inspected the work and finalized it . They don't follow up . I told her I didn't aware of this and we did plumbing and solar ,all permitted and finalized by the contractor . She reply oh we don't do plumbing not solar . Acting like I am stupid . This is a very bad business practice and to all those who applied the permit using this company make sure you follow up with your city . Don't end up like us after 10'years to find out we do not have a finalized permit . Beware . I also informed my other friend whom I refereed them to this company . Regretted. read more

Jarred Connor is a true gem, and he knows his stuff! My AC was completely DEAD. He asked me these questions over the phone: Is there air coming out of the vents? Is the thermostat on? Is the outdoor and indoor unit on, and making noise? How old is the system? Is the filter dirty, or been replaced recently? Is there ice anywhere on the unit? I answered all of those questions, and when he showed up, he looked at my air intake, thermostat, and the unit itself. Within 30 minutes viola, I've got air! All that was wrong, was a fuse, which he had the part with him, based on the questions he asked. In closing, Jarred knows his stuff, he is honest, and he is more than fair. I got a premium air conditioning system from Connor Air after looking at all their options. With financing it seemed to be the smartest long term investment for my home. Jarred was very helpful in answering all my questions and even did 2 walk-throughs with me on site to clarify everything before the job started. He was even willing to change the agreed-upon location of the outdoor unit up till the job-start date. Cody and Chris made the upgrade over the course of 3 days. They were very clean and professional about the work, getting in around 9am and being done before 3p. It has been over a month since the installation and I cannot be happier about the unit. I have had no issues other than getting the Rheam system to connect to my app, but that's not on Connor Air. I have since figured it out and I'm all good on that front. The system has been great at keeping our house warm over this unusually cold 2019 winter. I'd be happy to update my review come summertime, but I can't imagine any issues, especially with their bi-annual maintenance checks. 8th A/C company that came to diagnose our problem. None could or were willing to climb to our roof - we only have external roof access and it's about a 40' climb. Finally fixed and so happy with the repair experience. We first spoke with Mary in the office who assured us numerous times that they were able to service our townhouse community. We had several other local companies offer the same assurance but none of the technicians that came out were able to. Their technician Raymond came out. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He reminded us to always replace the batteries in our thermostat and replace our air filters. With the problem being the capacitor, he was able to replace it right away. BEWARE - A VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER. TOTAL RIP OFF. I'm very disappointed: I got 3 ductless air conditioning and heating units. While they are very nice when selling and installing, I only got to enjoy the units for 1 year and 1/2. I'm still paying on the $9,000 loan. Each unit cost me $3,000. And I got 3, one for each room. Only 1 year and 1/2 and I noticed the air wasn't cooling or heating properly. So they came and did a test that has cost me $500. Now they are telling me that the copper pipes that the free-On is leaking through is not covered by them nor by the manufacturer, mind you, I'm still under manufacturing warrantee but these pipes that apparently are becoming more and more commonly defective are NOT Covered by anyone, neither is the labor. Whaaaat?!!!! They don't offer warranties on parts and manufacturer doesn't cover these parts. So I'm fucked! Though they apparently reached out to the manufacturer, they have not heard back from them and now the summer is coming and I have no air, I spent the winter with space heaters. Cuz even though LA is warm it gets pretty cold in the evenings in the winter in my place. And in the summer my place is like a sauna, gets unbearably HOT. I've waited all this time, now about 6 months, I don't know what to do. They said it would cost me around $2,500 to get it fixed plus the $500, I already dished out. I don't know what to do, like I said I'm still paying for the $9,000. Loan. I thought they were going to b great! This sucks!!! They told me they've done all they can do. Which is NOTHING, just CHARGED ME $500. For a test that they didn't even explore all the way to the top as they were supposed to. Took them 30 min In Total. TOTAL RIP OFF.
