I recently had very bad experiences with other HVAC installation and repair companies. Between getting charged $3,000 every few months for, "topping off freon" (note: my system was installed new in 2018, so I'm not even sure if freon was the refrigerant the system needed), to proposing a $20k install of a new unit while mind was under warranty (twice), to claiming that my warranty was invalid until I set up an email thread with my HVAC company and my repair team to prove that my system was under warranty, to finally claiming that the local supply shop was "out of parts" for 6 months straight (I eventually called the shop, and they confirmed that they haven't been able to get a response from the repair team.). LONG STORY SHORT, I've been through HVAC hell, and finally decided to go with a new, local company with stellar reviews that recognized my system's warranty. Mario came to inspect the system, identified the repairs that needed to be made, was in and out within 2 hours only a day after I requested service, and not even $500 later I'm enjoying a cool, air-conditioned home. Extra points for not trying to upsell me on an entirely new system (lol - happened to me twice since buying my home, neighbors actually warned me about non-local HVAC companies), AND I can safely say that when I DO eventually need a new HVAC system, I'll be going with Manny's. Although I have used Manny's several times, I continue to be amazed at the truly superb service provided by his highly trained technicians. In this regard, Jesus came out to look at our AC system yesterday, which has been working only intermittently. Following a very thorough diagnostic assessment of the overall unit, Jesus suggested that we hold off installing any new parts at this time, as the system is somewhat old and doesn't provide any specifics concerning what needs to be replaced. Indeed, I appreciated Jesus's honest and straightforward assessment, as opposed to relying on guesswork to resolve the problem. At this point, I expect that we will likely be replacing our aging unit sometime this year....and, without a doubt, Manny's will be the company I call to do the job. My HVAC wasn't completely dead -- it would run anywhere from 5 minutes to a few hours, shut itself off, then restart again. It was a complicated intermittent issue. I contacted Manny's Heating & Air Conditioning, and they were very responsive. Jerry from Manny's Heating & Air Conditioning was very professional and knowledgeable who diagnosed the problem within about 15 minutes, explained the repair clearly, asked for permission before performing each step, and verified the temperature and operation afterward. One important detail: my HVAC is a rooftop packaged unit with indoor access only through a master bedroom walk in closet. There are no building stairs to the roof, so the technician must bring a ladder and climb about 11 feet indoors. This unusual setup made it difficult for me to find a company willing to handle the access, but Manny's was able to take care of it without any issues. It has been 10 days since the repair, and the air conditioner is running normally again. The repair came with a standard 90 day warranty, but honestly the quality of the work mattered more to me than the warranty. I recommend this company. read more

Initially went on Yelp yesterday morning (Tuesday) to see about getting our air-conditioning fixed. Manny's Heating and Air Conditioning came up and responded to the inquiry. A technician was was able to come today (Wednesday). Company texted me when they were running behind, but the technician came within the two hour window. Jesus, the technician, was professional, personable, and explained the problem thoroughly. Cost was reasonable- $95 for the initial diagnostic. The total was $140 for a fuse that went out. Manny's was fantastic. Mario and Juan were the techs and they were knowledgeable, friendly, polite, accommodating, very reasonably priced, honest and professional. Which was a sigh of relief after the first company I called... A few days ago my heat stopped working so I asked a bunch of HVAC companies on Yelp for availability. I had another company (NOT Manny's) come to check it out first, and after like 90 seconds of fiddling with the unit they told me all sorts of stuff was broken, they'd need to come back at least once later in the week, and the repairs would cost a minimum of $1500, depending how much time they needed and how far they had to drive to get parts. When I prodded for information about how much of that was parts and how much was labor, I got the runaround, and a bunch of scare tactics. It all felt slimy. So I said I needed a second opinion. Manny's came the next day. In about 2 minutes, Juan and Mario diagnosed the situation as a minor maintenance issue and had everything back up and running. Then they taught me how to fix the issue myself in case it came up again. Before they left, they dusted down the whole inside of the furnace (the first company from the day before wanted to charge me $600 for this cleaning). I asked for a repair and was told my only option was replacement with a 5K mini-split. I had sent them a picture of my unit, but they'd failed to look at it I guess. I'll just say this, after four attempts to diagnose our issue by another Heating and Air company, and almost replacing a 2K fan motor based on their final recommendation, I called Manny's Heating & Air for a second opinion. This is a long and honest review of my experience with Mannys's Heating and Air Conditioning. They are a neighborhood favorite and family run company. We recently used them again for a new property we just purchased. Manny was the salesman / estimator who reached out to me the same day I had requested information. Manny asked me about my needs and how his company could support me. Manny was attentive and listened to all of my questions and concerns. His office personal Gisselle and Ceci communicated via phone and text and where available even over the weekend. Manny provided a very professional proposal complete with pictures of the equipment and pricing. We had an issue with our AC where the air coming out of the system was just warm air. I reached out to Manny's and was able to get a same day appointment. Our technician Jerry came on time and after inspecting the AC unit, he was able to diagnose the issue to the capacitor.
