This was a nightmare. Conn's: shame on you for subbing out your delivery process to a 3rd party vendor. They showed up an hour past the 2-4pm window. They were in an Enterprise rental truck, not a Conn's truck. Image is everything, who are these people? They show up with a fridge strap that is broken! They have a dolly that is meant for moving boxes, not an appliance dolly. So they decide to use the dolly to get the fridge up my carpeted full flight of stairs. There were 3 of them and the fridge was so heavy, they could not get it up, so I being #4 had to help them push the fridge up my stairs. Totally unsafe and could have resulted in serious injury or even death had the fridge slipped. Unbelievable. Finally get the fridge to the top of the stairs and one of the 2 non-Conn's vendors asks to use my bathroom. Normally I would say no, but we all just went thru a nightmare trying to get this up the stairs, so I said yes - but, I am thinking he just needs to take a quick #1. 5 mins later, he is still in the bathroom - this guy is going #2 in my bathroom!! Really? I don't know you! I was mortified. So now he comes out of the bathroom, hallway smells horrible and he is in a hurry to place the fridge and get out of here. So the Conn's employee and the driver are standing in the kitchen getting ready to hook up the water line. The kid who took the #2 gets behind the fridge and says "man let me do this, we gots to go!" So he pushes the fridge forward and the door smashes right into the corner of the granite and puts a big dent right in the door! I was stunned. After all that work and putting our lives at risk getting this fridge up the stairs, this guy wrecks the door because he is young, immature, stupid and in a hurry, and has no respect for other people's homes. Well, of course, all hell breaks loose at this point. Conn's employee gets on the phone with some guy named Montel or Montez, then that guy gets on the phone with me and proceeds to tell me "you got 2 options....either we take the fridge out now and bring a new one tomorrow, or you can just take delivery of this one and call Conn's in a couple days and tell them the door isn't working and they will just bring you a new one to swap it out." I said "wait...what? you want me to make up a story and lie?" He says "well that's your best option at this point." I was appalled and completely snapped, lost my temper, and started yelling at him because I was so angry at the stupidity of his crew and lack of customer service. He hung up on me. So I called John at the store and told him what was going on. After one hour of back n forth arguing with the crew, John, some guy at the warehouse named Dave I believe it was, then another delivery guy named Sean showed up, I kept telling them you are not taking this fridge out of here because I will be without a fridge and I need to get my food cooled down. Also, why are we going to risk taking the fridge down the stairs and then another one back up the stairs when you could just bring me a new door? The guy at the warehouse (Dave I think it was) kept telling me "that is Conn's policy, we can't swap out the door, we have to bring you a new fridge." That makes no sense!! So what happens when the next fridge comes and that one goes thru the potential of getting damaged? Wouldn't it be much easier to just swap out the door? No one would listen to me. They finally agreed to swap out the dented door with a new one. I told all of them ,including the guy at the warehouse "tomorrow is Monday.....I have to work.....Please make sure they call me 30 mins before they arrive so I can leave my office and come back home to let them in." Guess what happens? Monday AM 8:35am I get a phone call "we are at your home rang the doorbell but no answer" ... Are you kidding me??? These people are clueless and don't listen. They showed up unannounced and gave me no notice even after I had requested it numerous times and was told they would call beforehand. So of course they left and the door swap got rescheduled to the afternoon. Montel/Montez and Sean showed up to do the door swap out. At this point, I think both of them realized how much they messed up and they seemed remorseful. Both of them were polite and respectful and swapped out the door, and even took the plastic off and cleaned the fridge. It's a shame it took that much disaster to get to a point where real customer service was finally displayed. However, this experience is by far the worst I've ever had and as a result, mark my words, I will never step foot in a Conn's store ever again. Well I did all they asked. They asked for a positive review did that. Should've waited until the delivery had taken place. The delivery company had nothing to do with Conns. They were asked not to deliver at a certain time, of course that's when they wanted to bring it I called to put it on hold. Well they brought it it anyway. Then I got in touch with the manager Tim and he said he would make it good with me. NOPE! The sales lady Maria called to see why I hadn't taken delivery yet had to tell her the whole story she said she would follow up. Waited a month nothing so I called Marla to see about the lack of follow up with me and she said they hired a new district manager and this wasn't on his priority list. That's strange that a manager would take a customer completely off the burner after spending almost 4 thousand dollars on furniture and such. Do not waste your money. We purchased a bed frame and a living room set a week ago. While we love the bed frame, the quality of the couch and chair we received was drastically different then what was displayed on the showroom floor. Quality is terrible, comfort even worse. There was a slight rip in one of the chairs. However, once you sign for the furniture it is yours, but the delivery people are rushing to get out the door and onto the next delivery. Take PLENTY of time to inspect the furniture, sit on it and evaluate it for comfort and quality. A company that does not offer returns should be a RED FLAG. The furniture is so uncomfortable we are selling it on craigslist and will have to cut our losses. I have a credit freeze and fraud alert on my social security number and all businesses are required by law to check with the three credit bureaus before accepting applications as well as get the security ID pin number and have me speak to the credit bureau in person for approving the credit. However, i just received a call from this business stating my application for credit has been approved and they wanted to know what i wanted to purchase. WTF? So they ignored the fraud alert and bypassed the credit freeze so they could earn a buck? Manager states it was a web application so their corporate office approved it. read more

There were multiple mistakes and incidents so please read thoroughly before you decide to purchase anything from Conn's. I went in the week of Black Friday to purchase a Loveseat. I forgot a 10% coupon that they had mailed me. I called them the next day (which they promised to deliver) and they said they would apply the 10% no problem. The furniture arrived a day later than they said (not really a big deal but they did promise next-day delivery at the time of purchase). When the furniture arrived, there was a tear in the leather. They repaired it but it still wasn't brand new. That's not the part that bothered me the most. They had told me over the phone twice and in person twice that they would honor the 10% off and I never received any credit. I went back to the store for the third time and they said they could not do it. DO NOT SHOP AT CONN'S! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! THEY HAVE THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! In a time of world wide crisis this places lives up to it's name. I came into this store to purchase a deep freezer in order to stock up for the city being put on locked down due to the corona virus. For the size of the freezer and the warranty the price was reasonable priced. My and my wife 12 year anniversary is at the end of march so I was looking for a gift for her. I looked at a massage chair for her. I was not necessarily sold because it was something I could, and probably would have come back and gotten at a later date. The most important was the deep freezer. SO the sales lady talked me into getting the chair. During the signing of the paper work I specifically asked what the pay off for the freezer and massage chair would be if I had the means the pay it off before even my first payment was due. I was told and pointed out on the contract what the pay off would be. The next day everything was delivered, the very next day I got paid and went to pay off the account and the amount for my pay off doubled. I spoke with the manager and he tried to talked down to me and try to explain how interest works. Which would not have applied in this situation because I only had the merchandise 48 hours. The sales lady admitted to what she told me the pay was and they would not honor that. The spoke with the district manager and I spoke to their corporate office, with no one willing to honor the price told to me or take back the massage chair. These people are absolutely horrible from the time you walk into a location you are swarmed by a bunch of used car salesman. Making payments are a nightmare you cannot get anyone that speaks English they don't listen to anything you say they are just reading off of a script if you ask them a question it throws throws them for a loop and you have to hear their script over and over and over again!! Are these real people or just robots with extremely thick accents that are condescending script reading assholes!? My salesman talked me me into purchasing the extended warranty he said oh it's only five extra dollars a month but when I looked at the contract it was an added $500 charge that you're paying interest on I asked for it to be removed a month ago still hasn't been removed that I know of!! I was supposed to get a notification in the mail can't get a hold of anybody to find out if it was removed. Their customer service helpdesk makes you push a lot of different options to speak to a real person when you finally get there you get hung up on can't call the 800 number that you make your payments on because those people are incapable of answering a question.they also don't tell you that they add on insurance even when you show them proof you have homeowners insurance.I've been paying on this account for three years and it hasn't put a dent in it it all goes to interest! If I could give Conn's a 0 star review I would. Great up front while trying to earn your business but after they do is where the issues start. 3 of the 4 items we had delivered broke with in 3 weeks. Arm on the chair is loose. The power slide buttons on the chair ND couch get stuck the TV stand broke and last but not least the sound bar worked for a week. Called service center and talked to the bitchiest girl ever she was extremely rude. Took the sound bar back to the store they did not have the sound bar on stock said they would have it by Monday and would hold it. Made another trip to the store that next Friday to find they did not have it and some BS story about not knowing what would be on the truck. Told us the only thing we could do is drive an hour out of our way to the distribution center and pick it up there. Called and asked CS rep to have the solutions department call me which they never did. This place is called CONNS for a reason.... Horrible customer service. bought the extended warranty - now they won't fix my dishwasher. i've had the dishwasher less than one year. dishes don't get clean and there is standing water (that smells and is growing mold) at the bottom of my dishwasher. they're service schedule is very limited and there is no flexibility. they basically said, work with our schedule, or live with it. i paid full price for the dishwasher and paid for an extended warranty. the warranty does no good if they won't fix it. their repair hours are limited and it's a 4 hour repair window - monday through friday only. they told me they had several 3rd party vendors who could come on the weekends, but everyone they referred me to, won't. very poor service!!! filed a complaint with bbb and health dept for the mold. read more

It took four months after being called a liar multiple times for them to realize it was used and take it off my account. Now I'm dealing with interest when I was told specifically by store manager at the time it was interest free loan. I tried to get a copy of my current contract and it's for items I don't even have and when I called to explain I want the contract to actually state what I have all o get is the run around . But they'll call fifty times a day asking for a payment but won't fix my contract? I just want my correct payoff and be done with this horror story. After a great experience purchasing on interest free financing in a breeze just over a year ago, I made my way back after an unfortunate incident that ended on a happy note thanks entirely to Conn's and their accident insurance coverage and great team! On Christmas Eve my teenage daughter threw a mechanical pencil and accidentally hit the TV screen which immediately cracked the glass and destroyed the pixels. I called Conn's unsure if I had coverage, that it would cover this based on how it occured, the time elapsed since purchase, or if I even had the coverage. I was BEYOND pleased to hear the lady on the other end of the phone tell me it was. The Monday after the Christmas weekend a technician arrived and was so professional and kind. He advised that he would put in a request for replacement and that I'd hear back within 5 days. After only 3 days I received a very nice voicemail that I could go to the nearest store to find a replacement TV based on the amount I paid originally. We arrived and the great salesman Justin and his manager (forgot his name) helped us find an even better and larger TV that was on sale for a big discount. After paying only for the optional, and highly recommended accidemt coverage on the new set, we went home with a brand new TV without any haggling or hassle. After dealing with a Best Buy screw up on delivery of a washer and dryer, I finally just cancelled the whole order at 8:00pm on a Saturday night. I did an appliance store search and saw this Conn's was just down the street. I called and the salesman, Steve, said they could help me out. I am leaving on Wednesday to drive my wife up from Florida and wanted the washer/dryer here before leaving. Steve helped me get everything I needed and set delivery for a time on Monday convenient for me. As I was leaving, the store manager said he would contact the warehouse Sunday morning to see if they could rush delivery by Sunday. I appreciated the gesture, but did not expect any results. The next morning I was out driving around when at 12:50 my cell rang, it was Steve letting me know they were loading the truck to deliver my items. I rushed home and they showed up within minutes. Not only that, but the delivery crew told me they were specially contracted to deliver just my stuff. When they inspected where the washer/dryer was to be installed, they said they had loaded the wrong plug. They had a three prong and needed a four. They then called the warehouse and someone drove the four prong plug out in their own vehicle. Conn's delivered my stuff 15 hours from purchase. I give my salesman, Steve, the manager, the warehouse folks and the delivery crew FIVE STARS. Now that is what customer service is supposed to be like. read more

The color on my expensive "leather" couch started peeling right away. They sold us on their damage insurance, however, this is not covered even though we were told things like this would be covered. Our less than one-year-old couch looks 10 years old. Embarrassing when company comes over. We do warn people where it came from and how old it is though! They start blowing up your phone a couple of days before your payment is due. We made a $2000 cash payment and multiple monthly payments and according to what our payoff is, we still pretty much owe the full balance. We bought from here because we found a very unique entertainment center and cabinet. We truly wish we would not bought our couch and chair from them. Never again! read more

I purchased a sofa and chair from Conn's Appliance on County Line in Centennial, Colorado 4/13/15. I was told that the price including delivery and tax was $1,591.21. My wife said she didn't think the amount of taxes charged was correct. I looked at it, but didn't say anything, since she had already told them it was wrong, and they said no it was correct. They told us they would deliver the sofa and chair the next day. I would be contacted by the warehouse between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM and given a 3 hour window that they would be delivered. The driver would contact me approximately 30 minutes before arriving. When I got home, I reviewed the bill and checked the tax amount. I live in un-incorporated Jefferson County, and felt like the amount of taxes charged was incorrect based on the fact that they were delivering to my home. The price of the goods was $1349.98, delivery was $139.99 and I was charged $101.24 sales tax. That computed out to 6.795% of the total price of $1,591.21. Sales tax should not have been charged on the delivery charge, and the rate should have been 5.0% or a total tax of $67.50. They owed me $33.74. I contacted them and they disputed this, but ultimately refunded my money. I wonder how may other customers they are doing this to, and pocketing the difference between the amount owed to the state, cities, and counties involved. On Wednesday morning I got a call telling me that they would deliver the chair but couldn't deliver the sofa, because it was listed on their computer as being at the Centennial store, when in fact it was at the Arvada store. They said they couldn't change the location on the computer and would not be able to deliver it that day. I told them to wait and deliver both at the same time On Thursday, they called and told me that the chair was loaded on a truck and would be delivered, but the sofa still showed it was at the Centennial store, and they were not able to change the computer or deliver the sofa that day. A few hours later they brought the chair to the house. After bring it in, the delivery person was installing the legs, and I noticed that he seemed to be having trouble with one of the legs. He finished and positioned the chair. After they left, I tilted the chair back to install pads on the bottom of the legs, to protect our hard wood floors. When I tilted the chair, one of the legs fell out of the chair. When I tried to install it, I discovered that the hole was too large and the leg screw would not hold. I contacted the store and was told that someone would contact me and make arrangements to come see what the problem was. I still have not been contacted. It is now Friday morning, and I was told yesterday by three different people that someone would contact me this morning between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM and give me an update on the delivery. When I hadn't been contacted by 10:00 AM, I called the store and talked to James, who I was told was the store mgr. He told me that the computer still showed that the sofa was at the Centennial store not the Arvada store, and they couldn't change the location, so the warehouse didn't have the ability to pick it up and deliver it. He said they were working on it and would contact me later and have it delivered today. From the tax scam, to the delivery person not telling us about the leg problem to the fact that they can't change the location of the computer, tells me that this company is not the least concerned abut Customer Satisfaction. How much money do you suppose this company pockets by overcharging on taxes. The employees are rude, nasty, and unwilling to help resolve this problem. I sent an email about the tax problem to the corporate office on their web site in Texas on Tuesday the 14th. I received a notice this morning saying they had received my message, and would follow up. Only took 3 days to respond. After receiving this email message, I sent another message outlining all the problems stated above. I asked that someone contact me, and help resolve this issue. Oct 17th 2015 my husband and I went to the thornton 102nd conns. We made an order that day. It was due to deliver oct 24th. We called the 1800 number to cancel it on the 21st of oct. This amount was over 7000 dollars. We were told it was handled and canceled. Not realizing we took 3 bed covers a king twin and full. Which total 271.22 Which we have never received an accurate bill for ever. In November I was contacted saying I owed 3123.77 which is different then the many amounts this company has sent on statements after mid november. I have called and spoke to managers and many others of which all of my calls have been recorded since day one of them telling me in oct our account was handled and closed. Well now they say we owe over 900 dollars which isn't even possible even if you add the late fees which shouldn't be there because if they had billed us correctly we would pay the 271.22 in full but they can't seem to get it right. Anyways we are now in feb 2016 and they have reported to my credit hurting my credit over their mistake. I plan to make this known this company is not only unprofessional but very unreliable. I owe 271. 22 I have statements from the store to back up how bad this place is. Please don't go there I promise it's not worth the chaos. My family is having to go through hell all because this company we have faxed the paper work we got directly from the store and it is enough proof. All we want is to pay our 271.22 and get confirmation this account is closed and get it off my credit. I can't believe this company is even still open because they don't communicate between departments and they have collectors whom are very rude and inconsiderate. They harass your phone every hour for money you have proof you don't owe. I hope it gets handled soon. I'll be writing reviews everywhere I can and reporting to the bbb. This is unfair by all means. Desired Resolution: Billing Adjustment Desired Outcome I would like to be able to pay the correct amount which I have a statement from the store that has been faxed to their departments. The amount is 271.22 with a email and mailed copy that this is closed and I can send it to the credit bureau since they have affected my credit. I just want to pay the amount I could have payed right away that I rightfully owe and not have late charges or fake amounts for products we never had. I'll send a fax or email of proof of what I actually I owe I got from the store itself from the manager I just want this off my credit and never to have to deal with conns again. We purchased a leather sectional in November and were offered insurance that the salesman said would cover any damage, even if our kid stabbed the couch with scissors or wrote on it with sharpie, so we opted for the insurance. The couch was delivered a few days later and was set back against our wall, so at the time of delivery, my husband did not notice a tear in the stitching in a back corner. A few days later we moved the couch forward as we felt like we were too far from the tv and noticed the tear along the seamline. A guy came out and said he could not repair it but would take pictures to send to corporate so they could replace the back. A couple of weeks later, a woman called and told us they would not repair the tear as 'it was obvious from the picture that a large object was dropped on the couch,' which is completely untrue and there is no way to know that from a picture anyway. Its poor craftsmanship (the tear is right on a seam....the seam was clearly stitched improperly) pure and simple. DO NOT believe the sales person when he/she tells you insurance covers any damage whatsoever...this is a lie, it covers nothing, they will come up with any excuse to take your money but not replace/fix their poor quality offerings. read more
