I purchased a TV on sale on March 29,2017 a 75 inch Samsung. I told the rep at the time I did not want insurance . We had home owners insurance . I provided a copy by coming back in the following week end to the store n faxed copy directly frm the store . I received my payment book n made 2 payments immediately. I received n automatically generated letter confirming insurance. I again went to Conns mesquite store n faxed info twice to corporate office from their offices. It is now May 29th n haven't received Conn's email stating their insurance has been removed frm my account and the account credited. Was told today to call corporate office @ 1866-892-8719. DO NOT SHOP HERE! Bought a laptop here had it serviced 5 times, with a promise of a new laptop the next servicing after the 3rd. They pushed it out until warranty expired now its broken again and I've been told to bad I will have to pay to get it fixed and will NOT be getting a new one! I bought a stove on Thursday 5/26/2016 from the clearance. I was very happy and approved very fast. I paid the 10 percent that I was asked to pay. My delivery date was for 5/31/2016. I got rid of my old stove because I was excited on receiving the new one. Guess What????? As I waited and called the delivery warehouse I was told the stove that I purchased was sold, SATURDAY...no one bothered to call. I went to the store and all I got was an "I am sorry!!!!" Don't deal with Mathew. He rushed us thru the process. Didnt go over any of the paperwork. Terms. Payments. When i got home i read the paperwork he set us up for payments on a couch of ocer $500 a month. When i called to cancel the salesman got angry with me and hung up on me. I called back to speak to a manager. Was placed on hold for 30 mins to be told they are too busy to take my call. Conn's HomePlus I posted my review way too early! I stand by the kindness of Hasan and while at the Conn's store I had a great experience, the people there were very friendly. HOWEVER my furniture was supposed to be delivered yesterday. I received a text and email that they couldn't deliver due to damage to one piece of my furniture. I guess they forgot about telling my husband and me that there were 3 in stock. So why not switch the "damaged" piece out. Once I mentioned that I was told my furniture would be here today between 9:30 and 12:30. Of course it never came and no one even bothered to contacted me. I was waiting at home thinking my furniture was coming. I called and was told my furniture is not being delivered today and could take another 7 days! Silly me, I took them at their word and removed all of our old furniture to prepare for this delivery. I have family coming from out of town today and no furniture. read more

I bought a MacBook Pro from Conns and purchased the extended warranty they offer for their products. I take my laptop in to get serviced because it just shut down and wouldn't power up. After almost a month and a half, I get my laptop back with a note saying "Dont let it go under 20%" (if its fixed, why wouldn't I?!). Months go buy and the track pad starts acting funny. (I asked a Apple rep about it while servicing my phone, and he mention the problem might have happened because of a battery problem, HELLO!) So I contemplated in taking it into apple but though of the extended warranty I bought. I take it into Conns to get it serviced, they can't fix it; approve me for a exchange. I receive about 3 calls from a sales rep that my replacement was ready, i mentioned i was waiting on my hard drive to come in, to call me again when its all there. She called me the next day about another 3 times that my hard rive came in and i can pick it up with my replacement. I go to pick up my product, and all of a sudden then don't have any in stock! I was more than welcome to go pick it up at the warehouse. or wait for shipment. I spoke with a manager about the problem and she "Didn't see the big deal" I ask about warranty and they stated that warranty ON THE NEW PRODUCT WOULD HAVE TO BE BOUGHT, THE WARRANTY DOES NOT TRANSFER. (despite what i was told when i bought it) 2 WEEKS HAVE GONE BY AND NO ONE AT THE STORE HAS CALLED ME ABOUT MY LAPTOP. I call the ext day to check if they had any in stock they guy told me they had 7 in the back room and 17 at warehouse!! I call corporate with a complaint and see about the warranty transferred, also submitting a complaint, thinking someone from managment would contact me, its been a month now and I HAVENT HEARD FROM ANYMORE! I went to purchase a stove and the sales person kept talking to keep us distracted Listen, he sold us a stove and we asked him to put it on our existing account and we asked what our balance would be since we had paid off an appliance. The sales person looked up and stated that our balance would be after the purchase of the new item $59.00 per month . And he would email a copy of the contract. I went to conns on July 23rd to purchase a washer and dryer I was told it would be delivered in 2 days. On 8/4/16 after still not getting it and not even receiving a call as to why I called them and was told my order was cancelled, without any knowledge of them doing so. So that same day I go back to the store and asked for my money back. I paid $440 and was told I had to wait 10 business days I was mad but left. After the 10 days I only get half of my money that was on 8/19/16 that I got my check. I still haven't received the rest of my money. They shorted me $200 and all the corporate office tells me is that they are still reviewing it. It's been almost 2 months and I don't have my $200. Originally I came in for 2 refurbished washer and dryers but we ended up getting talked into 2 new washer and dryers there for 1200 added the warranty and the total came out to 1800 but now that I have paid 2,200 my Balance is still remaining at 2,000 that is 4,000 on washer and dryers?! I was NEVER told it will double my price if it was not paid off In 90 days. I have spent 8,000 there for furniture and came back because I was giving y'all another chance and then we get talked in to getting new washer and dryers instead of the refurbished ones because they were "cheaper" but I know now that was only a sale tactic. We were looking into coming to buy new beds there and now I cannot trust y'all. This is so disappointing and I am unbelievably unsatisfied. This has been a terrible experience. I want this solved, nobody will pay 4,000 for some 500 washer and dryers that is a complete rip off. My experience with Conn's was/is a nightmare. I purchased over $6000 in merchandise in less than one year.and i used the cash option plan. No I didn't read the lengthy contract/fine print for I trusted the sales persons explanation. He basically stated that I need to pay off everything by one year or there would be interest and a carry over balance. That is how he explained the "Cash option".... not once did he nor the many of Conn's corporate staff explain to me that my plan would be canceled if I was ten days late on a payment. I have paid nearly $1500 towards a $3000 TV and my contract was up 12/27/17 and I would have to pay $2067 to meet terms of contract. Ok... so I spoke with a half a dozen Conn employees at corporate saying I won't be making a payment in November because I would be paying off the $2067 for TV, $2600 for a computer and $300 on a DVD player. In other words I was paying all of accounts early. Conn's not once informed me that by not making a payment in November that I would lose all the money I paid towards the TV. Conn's was very willing to helping me set up automatic payoffs from my bank account knowing that by my decision to not make the November payment would literally cost me $900!!!! They unequivocally knew I was making an expensive mistake to there advantage. Again I talked to Conn's corporate numerous times , told them I would not be making a $149 payment because I was paying in full in a few short weeks. They didn't explain to me in layman terms as to what I was setting myself up for --TO LOSE $900!!!! I will pay them $2067 ( original pay off) next week as well as nearly $3000 more to pay off all my accounts in full. But it will be a cold day in hell I will pay them $900 more because they canceled my contract because I was ten days late with a payment that I advised them and they not once advised me of the financial complications of my actions. They unequivocally knew what was going to happen and helped me to set up the automatic pay offs but never advised me honestly. I know Conn's will try to ruin my credit and hound and harass me with phone call and send collection agencies after me after being a good and loyal customer. Spent $6000... never missed a single payment, paid every thing off early...asked for Conn's help/assistance is scheduling pay offs but never informed properly. Conn's is the true definition of the word "CON" for I was conned . If they can't find in their "heart" to forgive for a misleading information from employees for failing to inform me of what I was unknowingly getting ready to do then I will be very active in pursuing exhaustive reviews on the internet in an attempt to discredit this Con organization. Again they knowingly knew by with holding important information they would profit at a loyal customer expense. It is as if it is company policy is not to inform customers properly to make financial gains--I TOLD THEM I WOULDN'T MAKE MY NOVEMBER PAYMENT BECAUSE I WAS PAYING OFF THE ACCOUNT IN A FEW SHORT WEEKS AND COULD CONNS HELP ME SET AUTOMATIC PAYOFFS. I made a major purchase on May 27, 2019 on Memorial Day at the Town East location in Mesquite, TX I still have not received all of my furniture. Everyday they tell me it will be delivered the next day and I call the delivery company and they say we don't have anything scheduled for you. From the moment you walk in the pressure begins, (mind you, it's not the salespersons fault) it comes from the top, down. Their training process is apparently PRESSURE the customer! My husband and I fully intended on purchasing a living room set, however because of the sales tactic and the pressure from someone following us around and not allowing us to talk alone, to view the furniture in our own time, or to even privately talk and decide if we wanted a monthly payment, things like that, so we decided against purchase.. and the reason we decided against our purchase was because of the sales tactic, the salesperson would say things like "your husband wants this" "you will be buying this" (I even had to argue to leave the store!!!) I literally felt trapped, & that statement is NOT for dramatic affect! then the sales person said if I didn't talk to the manager before I left that she would get fired on the spot, so I said OK..the manager came over and it was what I thought, he tried to convince us,, I had to stop him 3 times, I said "I need to stop you here, we have things to do, we are not buying anything, thank you for your time, we are leaving," he kept talking even as we walked, no almost a Sprint out of the store! Also, let it be known, when I ran my credit the first time on credit they told us 0% interest, they ran it again (only 1 month later) and told us it changed and if did not qualify for 0% instead it would be 19% interest-rate, we said will just pay for cash somewhere else. On 1.13.21 i purchased a GE Stackable washer /dryer . I spent a total of 1256.74 which included delivery and repair service agreement. It was delivered on 1.16.21 and it was discovered that the drain hose had a hole. I call the store to report the problem the person i spoke with after being on hold for 12 minutes stated the manager was busy with another customer and he would call me back on that following Monday. I never received a call, so i called and was on hold this time for 46 minutes, so i called back again and asked not to be put on hold for long periods of time and was told that i would have to come back to the store and pick out another set, the manager did not return my calls.1.20.21 the next washer/dryer was delivered on 1/22/21 after the delivery the washer was not working 2 different repairmen have been out 3 different times and i am still without a washer/dryer for bedridden brother we need. It is very hard for me and his caregivers to keep driving to the laundermat which had tried to explain to them but it seems that have my money and don't care about the customer. I called the Town East, Dallas, Tx store yesterday inquiring about a gas range that I wanted to purchase, gave them the model & brand & the price we had been quoted from BestBuy. Michael, sales person, asked the manager, Anna if he could match the price, and she said yes and to come on over to the store. We arrived at 1:00pm and found Michael, who tried for an hour and a half to get she approval from Corporate. Anna never spoke to me, didn't say ANYTHING, didn't try to assist Michael, she stood behind the counter, talking to some of the other sales staff members, ignoring any customers and me. At 2:30 Michael finally told me hat he could not get approval to sell range at that price. Anna would not even acknowledge my presence. She did say that she 'didn't have time to talk to me, that I could continue to wait or go to Best Buy'. Needless to say I left & called Nebraska Furniture, who will be delivering my range next week. I received a pre-approval in the mail so we visited the store knowing we needed a new bed and dining set. The approval process was quite easy, and knowing we had instant credit for $3500, we located our new bed and dining set is pretty short order. Everything seemed great, buying on a Saturday and being told and even reassured our new furniture would arrive the following day even though it was a Sunday. Within an hour of getting home, we received a call from the main office telling us we would received a call between 7AM and 10AM Sunday Morning with a delivery window of 3 hours. PERFECT, and exactly what the store had told us. And had they done what they said they would do, this review would be 5 Star positive all the way, But, not receiving a call Sunday by 11AM (one hour LATER than told), we called the number using our caller iD and inquired. To my amazement, I was then told that the table top was discovered to be out of stock, so our delivery would be delayed until Monday. I asked if anyone was ever going to bother to let us know that information if we hadn't called them. The lady said she just sent a e-mail to the store to let them know. GREAT, They let the store and not the customer know, that's awesome customer service. Next we called our salesman, who had written his number down is LARGE numbers and told us to call him directly if we ever had an issue. When we did, he said he'd get with the delivery people and see if they could "at least" deliver our bed. Remember, knowing we had a new one coming and since they don't remove existing furniture. We had to move our old bed out to make room for the new one. Now with the new one "delayed", I guess they think the floor will serve us well until they get around to delivering what we are paying for. But we didn't give up just yet. Even though our "call me if you ever have a problem" salesman hadn't called back. We sent him a text message to ask if he'd found out anything about delivering our bed. He texted us right back telling us he'd call the warehouse manager and get back to us. Well it's been several hours now, he has NOT called back or texted us and obviously there will be no delivery of any kind today. in fact, there won't even be any information provided until (yet again) sometime between 7AM and 10AM Monday morning. MAYBE. And that's if we wake up able to move after a long night without a bed. Perhaps Conns will be so kind as to deliver what we purchased tomorrow. If not, I'm sure they'll get around to it eventually. Very disappointed in the service and even more disappointed in the salesman who obviously is all talk and no action. Good products, and the pricing is within reason, so we'll probably shop Conns again in the future. But, we are not going to count on them following through on any promises. They've now proven on multiple occasions with just one purchase to not be trustworthy or honest with their customers and that's NOT a good thing. read more

We picked out a clearance refrigerator, washer, and dryer. On the day of our delivery, only the washer and dryer came. After many phone calls and a trip to the store, we found out they actually sold the refrigerator we picked out to someone else. No, "I'm sorry." No, "Please let me make this right." Nothing. We picked out another clearance refrigerator and asked the manager what he could do since we waited all day, had to take time out to come back to the store and pick another refrigerator out, and would have to wait another delivery day, none of which was our fault that they resold our refrigerator. Then, on the day our second delivery was scheduled, for 10-1, we got a call saying they never even picked up our refrigerator that morning. Could we please do a later delivery or the next day. I said absolutely not to the next day and they gave us a 2-5 time slot. We waited at our new house, that we don't live in yet, with no water, and our two year old until 9. When they called to tell us that they weren't going to be able to make it, it would have to be the next day. Again, I said absolutely not. I will say, Chris, the coordinator found someone, finally, to deliver our refrigerator. But not before my frustration and disappointment with your company has completely ruined this experience. read more

This store location is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. The managers don't take ownership of company error, nor do they attempt to address employee brashness. I have contacted the store location by phone over 7 times and only one time was my issued even attempted to be addressed. Randy was awesome and the best sales rep! If I owned a business, he would definitely be my manager. Mathew, Eddie, Anna and Steven were all less than professional. I purchased appliances from this location in 2016 and needed management to step in at that time, but all was handled, even if not to my complete liking. I decided to give them a second change and I am highly disappointed. Not one person took ownership or even offered a viable solution for my issue and I spent my entire Sunday dealing with this location. I am currently out of over $150. Consequence for purchasing a defective dryer! I have one star because I couldn't decline to give any star! Their finance website does not show you a complete payment history and the only way to see the balance owed is when you try to make a payment. Well, they show I now owe nearly $1400.00 after making $1,000 worth of payments! They say the payoff would be nearly $1,200.00 WHATEVER THEIR GIMMICK IS, IT IS TOO STINKING RICH FOR MY BLOOD!!!!!!!!!!! The credit website does now show a complete payment history and they show no record of the original sale! At BEST all you can get off this site is spotty information! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS AGAIN AS LONG AS I LIVE, and you can count on that. They keep sending me mail saying my credit line has increased with them, and I was actually once considering getting some things for our church through them. Horrible business to get involve with. I bought an sofa and love seat price was $999.99ea. when I was in the store yes the sales people are very pushy. I had bought 4 items before this sale and never had a problem. This time around I have had nothing but problems. You do the math on the $999.99x 2= $1,999.98 plus tax. How did this end up being over $7000. when I got that payment booklet to make payments @ $205,26 for 3yrs. I ask them to come and pick up the sofa and loveseat. they call me over and over saying they could not just pick up the set but they have too pick up everything on the contract. I bought my grandson an PlayStation. I wanted the PlayStation just didn't want the over tax sofa and Loveseat. I would have been better off getting it from rent to own its only for 18mos. They make their offer look great and financing easy, but don't be fooled, these people are really bad. I thought my payment was due on the 15th but in fact was due on the 11th. So when I realized on the 12th that I had made this mistake, I tried to log on to the web site and pay my bill. However, the site would not let me do it, because they already had me in collections in less then 24 hrs. Now don't misunderstand me, I was late and I should have made my payment in a timely fashion, that is my bad, but to be told I am in collections less then 24 hours after my due date, really. What this shows me is that they are looking to have their customers fail so that they can call the note quickly and take your stuff back for void your finance terms (1 year no interest). I purchased a washer and dryer from this location, and was told since I purchased the units early, I would get an early delivery. Not true, they wanted to deliver between 3pm and 6pm. I had to take the entire day off work, to make sure I was home for my delivery. Not only do they miss my delivery window, they miss it by a lot. They finally showed up at 9:15pm. I would not recommend financing anything with this company. The hidden fees they do not inform you of before the contract is printed. When I questioned the additional charges (insurance}, I was told I had to take it out. My homeowner's insurance covers the exact same things and is not an outrageous fee. They solicited me in misrepresentation of the company. It says 12 months no interest. Well when the contract printed out, there was again additional charges for financing. Again I remind you 12 months no interest. The interest rate was outrageous. Now I'm having to make another trip to Mesquite,Tx. to rectify this. Please do not think of shopping here. 1. I have been informed that local employees have no control of Conn's delivery system. According to the sales associates and members of logistics, a computer decides when deliveries are made regardless if the time generated is convenient for the customer. 2. I purchased 3 rooms of furniture. Upon the first delivery attempt, the wrong items were entered and delivered. One items was left off of my order all together 3. After the first delivery fiasco and the revision of my order, the delivery personnel showed up without parts to complete one of my bedroom sets. 4. This now brings me back to the ridiculousness of #1. I cannot get the missing items to my bedroom set, because the computer continues to generate times that I am not available to be home despite expressing this to delivery personnel repeatedly. I should not be inconvenienced when I purchased the merchandise purposefully during my vacation time in order to make sure that I was available for merchandise set-up. My vacation has now ended, so I am being told that all I can do is wait to see if the system generates a time that I am available for the set-up. It has been almost three weeks since my purchase and my guest room still do not have the parts needed to complete the bed in this room. This is EXACTLY what the name implies....CONs!!!! Fell for the advertising about your "YES" money. My husband and I don't have BAD credit, we just don't have a lot of credit. Went to the store and were waiting to here back from the inquiry. I am watching the screen and it pops up DENIED. The salesman then says "OK and then I do this". He proceeds to tell us that while we couldn't get a Conn's card, that we qualified for another type of financing for up to 2300.00. He then takes us to the true CON(n) artist who proceeds to tell me that while I have qualified for the "special financing", there is NO interest rate. It is a "leasing fee". I asked how that worked and he stated that we only needed to pay 150.00 a month until it was paid off. If we wanted to we could pay it within 90 days, but we still had to pay the 150.00 month regardless. If after the end of the 90 days, we didn't pay it off entirely, then we could only pay 150.00 per month for 12 months. We would have ended up paying 2800.00 for a computer that was 799.00 which was marked up over 100.00 in the first place. I again asked the man what the interest rate was after hearing this and he again stated that this was merely a leasing fee and not an interest rate. My suggestion to anyone is to go to Aaron's and rent to own. They only mark stuff up minimally and you can pay 120 days same as cash or pay out the ACTUAL price of the merchandise. read more
