I will never purchase from this company again. I paid cash for a couch set and when it was delivered it was broken. They ate in no hurry to fix their mistakes. Disappointed in this company.. I bought a couch set 3 years ago, salesman sold up the warranty plan said it would be discounted on my next set after 3 years.. Lucky I did buy the warranty because the couches and recliners had to be fixed 3 different times. 3 years later we decided to buy a more expensive set and guess what? Now if you "used" the warranty you don't get the discount.. and it's 99$ to have the furniture delivered into your home. I'm already spending over 2k and you can't even bring it into my home?? Why would I buy a warranty and not use it when your product breaks?? What's the point of offering free delivery if you're just gonna leave unassembled furniture in boxes in my yard?? Was not greeted upon entering the store. I immediately smelled this chemical smell and when I looked to my left there were three or four employees cleaning a bedroom set and also spray painting indoors the furniture. I assumed everybody was busy which is the reason I was not greeted so I continue to walk around the store and did a full circle. I walked past two employees another walked past me and saw me multiple times while I was inside the store and I still had no one even say hello to me. Which is really sad because I actually found several items inside the store that I liked. The manager though, he wasn't personable...his energy and arrogance was not welcomed and although we didnt deal with him until we were checking out, he changed my view of doing business with Home Zone. I have recentey 05-12-22 purchased a bedroom suite from homezone my very first time buying from here ( Mesquite tx location ) I set up my date and time for the following week. I took off work and received a phone call that morning telling me that they could not find my home? They typed in the wrong zip code and was in Irving ! They started to tell me, we need to reschedule I told them no I cant so they said, it will be late this afternoon. When the delivery personal arrived they started to unload the head board and the guy dropped the headboard on the cement and damaged it he told me he will get with there office to see about replacing it !! Then when they were inside my house the same guy has the bedset up around my newly mattress ( frame ) which is the adjustable bed frame very expensive and I litterally just had that delivered and hour before they arrived from a differnt company !!! He brakes the legs to the adjustable frame while moving it and also strips the screws on the back of the mirror to my new dresser, the guy almosts drops his screw gun on me , he falls over and hits his head on the headboard , he lied to the office about the legs to the adjustible bedframe telling them they were already loose! WTH !! So the customer service side gets involved and basiclly telling me they will not replace the frame but have the other company fix it!! when you buy something especially when its only an hour old and someone breaks it you do not want it fixed you want it replaced especially when you spend thousands of dollars on it .Their delivery team Jake Bransford sounded like a kid and was arrogant, rude and and an ass! My wife and I had awesome shopping experience at Home Zone Furniture in Mesquite, TX. Bryana, our sales associate, gave us considerable help when requested, and the space to shop alone, when needed. The quality of our furniture is top notch, was delivered on time and with no complications. Kudos to Bryana and to Home Zone Furniture. We'll definitely send more business their way. So, after our furniture was delivered, we decided we'd like to purchase another recliner to finish off our living room(we mentioned this to Bryana during our purchase). We called the Mesquite store in an attempt to order one for pickup, seems easy enough. However, the store is not allowed to accept orders over the telephone, and require you to place the order in person. Now, mind you, we just purchased a full living room set earlier in the week and had it delivered. We requested a manager be notified of our request, but we were still unable to place the order. So, we are off to make an unnecessary trip to the Mesquite to buy additional furniture in person. Buyers Beware, I have bought furniture in the past and had no problems. However, I bought a table on September 2, 2019 and had it scheduled for delivery Sep.14. The table arrived and it was damaged and put together poorly. I didn't notice the damage because it was under the table and i only inspected what I could visibly see. I moved the table to a level surfaced to see if that would keep the table from wobbling (it didn't) and that's when I discovered the damage. Home Zone has scheduled 3 deliveries and each time has delivered a damaged table. I paid for a new table and I wanted a new table delivered undamaged. At this point, I just want my money back...This company sells inferior merchandise! read more

Since there is no H.R. department looking out for the best interest of the sales associates, hopefully this review will help address that issue and the lack of leadership at the store manager level and even the regional level. The toxic environment at Homezone Furniture in Mesquite is clearly the result of Chris Cooper's micromanaging, biased and even sexist behavior to name a few. Chris Cooper has even gone as far as to speak behind his sales representatives backs and speaks poorly of them with fellow manager Robert of Burleson referring to them as "douchebags" for being only seconds late lacking moral courage to confront anyone face to face, Actions and words unbecoming of managers that should set the example and not gossip and spread rumors like Chris Cooper and Robert are known to do. As long as you don't inconvenience Chris Cooper during working hours and say yes sir no sir while he is swiping left and right on Tinder and Bumble dating apps you're on his good side. I don't know about you but I thought this was a furniture store selling furniture for the hard working American not Chris Cooper's personal time but if you can provide a suitable girlfriend for Chris Cooper in exchange for furniture that he is willing to buy for you then you are also on his good side just ask the sales associates still working there. I don't think anyone of them would be willing to allow someone they know to date such a low value individual and simp. Growing up no one ever taught Chris Cooper how to become a man that explains it in his lack of masculinity towards other male associates, his sexist behavior towards other males and only hiring women because of his shortcomings as a man in his personal life, bringing stress and frustration into the workplace affecting the rest of the sales staff with his emotional behavior. Last but not least is the despicable behavior towards Oneil Whyte one of the hardest working people I have ever met, Chris Cooper singles out this young man on a daily basis. Who knows why, maybe because of the color of his skin or because he feels threatened and jealous which are common Chris Cooper traits, you should judge a man not by his skin color but the content of his character these are tough times we are in for Chris Cooper to be showing such childish behavior. Picking and choosing when things are inappropriate or "red poster" making up the rules of the store as he goes. You are never allowed to call in sick according to him because you hurt the team are his words but only chooses who to enforce the standards upon showing once again biased behavior and unfair treatment. I myself only ever called in sick once this year but wasn't allowed to be ill,knowing full well COVID 19 could of been present in the store which consequently shut down for a day for COVID 19 because another associate was ill. I guess selling furniture was more important than the well being and health of the staff which are grounds for a lawsuit. Fair warning to anyone choosing to work at the Mesquite location as drama follows Chris Cooper but do not stand your ground for he will certainly shed tears for not being included since it's a place of business and not a place to make friends. Let's hope these issues are dealt with swiftly so no other future associate has to deal with this. read more

Me and my boyfriend finally went to look for a bedroom suit the other day and this was our last stop thanks to Bryan! We had went to about 3 different locations so far and were feeling so pressured to buy something at the other places, so when we came here it was nice to not feel pressured at all! Bryan asked what we were interested in and then explained everything to us, offered us water and gave us plenty of time and space to discuss and decide on our own what we wanted. We probably walked around the whole store about 5 times and once we decided we got to sit down and watch UP & enjoy ice cream while we did paper work so it didn't feel like such a drag waiting. I bought this dining table and chairs. The first time the delivered it, it was cracked so they had to send a new one. A week later they sent this table, I checked it and seemed fine, I wiped it with a damp cloth to get the dust off and started feeling these raised parts of the table.. and as i looked closer it's like black gunk lifted off the table, but you can't clean it off without it damaging the table. So I called and they said "that's how it comes" and if i wanted to return it ... that it would be a 20% fee. So you want me to pay you to return the damaged table you sent me. What a joke. That's not what the display table looked like.. and it makes no sense for a table to have three random black marks. So no that's not "how it comes." There was no need for such a condescending remark. Don't purchase furniture here, customer service is trash.. and It's all cheaply made. Order something from overstock or Wayfair.. same quality for a way cheaper price. read more

My wife and I stopped in at Home Zone with little expectations. We had never heard of the place until a Google search, and thought we'd stop in to at least "cross it off the list". We were greeted very warmly by Charles who let us know we were free to browse without pressure. We were very surprised at the quality of furniture available. Definitely not your big box chain cheap stuff or super high-end boutique, but value for the quality was awesome. During our browsing were checked in a couple times, but not in a pushy way. We ended up finding an entire bedroom suite of quality we really liked, and Bryan assisted us in getting the deal done...even got a little extra discount. We were very pleased. read more

If i could give 0 stars I would!!! My order was delivered 2 hours late. Then the handyman stated that he did not have the correct nails/screws to put together my bed set. Now I have to wait until tomorrow for someone else to come out and finish the job. I paid for the delivery and set up and had it scheduled for today November 7, 2020. The way they handled things in store was ok but to have this happen is a huge inconvenience. My spouse had to miss work so that he could be here when they were supposed to bring our items. They specifically said it would be from 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM. Then we received a call saying the trucks weren't working that they'll come at 7:15 PM then received another call saying the drivers were behind on orders so we waited and still no arrival until 8 PM!!! I expect a call or email regarding this issue because I am very disappointed with this service. I spent a good amount of money and to get service like this makes me not want to spend more money with this company. My advice to anyone looking for furniture look elsewhere! read more

Large selection of furniture for very cheap, but we had a horrible experience after delivery... We were delivered the wrong chairs to our dining table, then after contacting home zone about the issue, they directed us to their delivery department which was already closed, so we had to wait til the next morning to contact home zone. Home zone claimed they will deliver the correct chairs on Wednesday before close.... Wednesday rolls around, they never came to deliver the correct chairs (and didn't attempt to contact us, we had to figure it out the hard way because they closed at 6 and it was 6:30 and no delivery was made) Thursday, we contact them about the delivery never being made and they tell us it was an inventory mistake and they actually don't have the chairs we ordered in stock anymore. So really, we are stuck with these chairs they accidentally gave us that we DONT want. The other option they gave us was to take the display chairs for only 10% off... But we would have to pick it up ourselves. So stupid. So lame, and not worth our time. Not once did I feel that they were actually apologetic for the mistake THEY made and not once did I feel that they tried to redeem themselves as professionals. I don't recommend. The trouble is not worth it. We really should've taken the hint when two angry customers were in line next to us while we were ordering our dining set/couch. read more

I rewrote this review to better organize it and provide an update on service. Summary: Decent quality furniture at a reasonable price. The delivery service had some issues, but the customer service took care of the problem in an exemplary fashion. See below for details. Topics: Bedroom set, couch set, delivery service, customer service, sales service, pricing. Pricing: The prices seem similar to what I see on their website right now, though we did have warranties with all the items for the same pricing. The price seemed reasonable/slightly better for the types of furniture when comparing similar items at other stores (ashley, rooms to go), but we only looked at a few other stores that day, and only 3 other stores (meaning that I am no expert regarding pricing). Sales service: The sales staff was not too pushy, and Giovanni pulled two balloons down for our 2 year old, which was nice (I am aware that he wanted to make a sale, but it was still nice). They talked us into warranties, which per some other reviews are a one time use. The sales staff told my wife they didn't have a copy on hand (I was distracted at the time), so I don't actually have a copy besides what is on my receipt. That's a point of annoyance and something I now have to try to remedy. Couch set: We bought a top grain leather couch/loveseat on July 4th. The couches feel nice and are comfortable. There was a minor abrasion on the loveseat and on the back of couch. The connection of the rocker recliner loveseats to the center console seems a bit weak/wobbly, but hopefully this is just normal play by design (based on my 2 year old climbing over the side to get on). They smell like leather, and hopefully this is real and not a perfumed polish. The leather feels like it's not as thick as that on my parents, but our couches cushion with more give by design, so I'm not totally sure on this. They seem good, and time will tell if I've been had. Bedroom set: Bought a 6 piece bedroom set (barcellona set) July 4th as well. Per the salesperson, the wood is all oak. By my inspection, the pieces seem to be a combination of composites, hardwoods, and veneers. Oak has blemishes which can be seen in all of the pieces, so this was expected. The blemishes are polished and add character in my opinion, but I would understand if people wanted non-blemished woods. Pieces are heavy. The marble (or some type of stone) tops for the dresser and bedstand are comprised of many small rectangular pieces of the stone that have been manufactured together, and are not a solid sheet. Customer service: First, let me say I was really paranoid as there aren't tons of reviews for the store, and some of the other locations average 3 stars. The nearby mattress store mentioned they had heard a few people with customer service finance issues, but I wasn't overly concerned as I was paying in full. I called to talk to the store about my headboard that was damaged in delivery, and was referred to Carrie with delivery. He sent a tech out to assess the board. The tech decided it could not be fixed. They replaced the board next week and threw in a mattress protector as the tech and I accidentally ripped it when we were lifting the mattress off the previous week (my fault really). This headboard replacement was not part of the warranty per our phone conversation, and I was overall very satisfied with my customer service experience. Delivery service: Overall I felt the first crew was in a rush. They damaged the headboard during assembly, and didn't line up the bedframe/nightstand with the windows and wall. I noticed a couple of abrasions to my hardwood floor near where the couch sits, and I'm suspicious this was them. Luckily I have etched wood and I can easily fix this when I want to. See below if you want more details of my delivery experience. The guys that delivered my replacement headboard were superb. Long story about delivery: There was a weird/careless incident with the 2 delivery guys in the bedroom. One is working on the nightstand (left of bed) while the other is assembling the bed. The one working on the bed has it mostly together, and I assume had to access the rear of the headboard to take off a protective panel. He grabs the foot of the bed and yanks it hard to move it away from the wall (it's a heavy set) right into his co-worker. This guy yelps/shrugs and walks away from the corner trying to walk it off without cursing. Everything seemed fine, all drawers worked and no scratches on any of the pieces. Review was too long: In short, they damaged the connection, but customer service replaced the damaged piece. read more
