I have been in customer service for quite a while. I have never had a supervisor tell me to ask for a perfect raising, EVER! I was told their pay and raising depends on surveys. Anybody who works in customer service or depends on surveys should understand that. To beg for one is telling of the customer service level. I purchased a 70in LG television from the Stapley store about 3 months ago. I also got the insurance that should anything happen to television it is repaired or replaced at no cost. I moved to another apartment and my television no longer works according to Conns I damaged the television. No one came out to check it out, look at it or anything. I sent a picture and the rumored specialist stated I damaged the tv. What I am saying is AVOID all Conns stores. They do not honor their warranties, they don't even bother to lie about it. I don't recommend them at all the only problem is they are predators of people without great credit. They prey on people who really cannot obtain credit through a reputable furniture company. DON'T DO IT. I purchased a Samsung Smart dryer and the receipt that I received stated I would receive next day delivery. I was really not expecting that since it was later on a Sunday that I made the purchase, but I did expect some sort of communications. So on Wednesday I called to find out about when my dryer would be delivered and spoke with a manager, she informed me that it was scheduled for Thursday. I would not have someone home that day so she checked for a Friday opening and was told I could reschedule my delivery for Friday. Since I did not receive a text the night before alerting of my scheduled time, I called the center again to find out when the truck was going to be arriving. At which time I was told I was scheduled for Saturday delivery. I asked to speak to a supervisor as to why I was told I was scheduled for a Friday delivery and why now it is Saturday without even a single communication again. Now I am being told by another member of management, that deliveries are not made on Wednesday or Fridays which is crazy when your website states that deliveries are made daily. I am now on hold with another department manager (which I was disconnected from so I guess thats another aggravation) in order to cancel my order because I am not interested in doing business with a company that can not even make a delivery without several lies being told. read more

I purchased a $325 Beverage cooler here while my house was being remodeled - the sales person was nice and when I asked if they had a "built in" beverage cooler he said we do - right over here and he showed me the $300 one - I said great I will take it - purchased it and put it in the garage with the rest of the appliances where it sat for 4 weeks until the kitchen remodel was complete. When the contractor removed the fridge he said this is not a "built in" and can't be used and boxed it back up. I took it back and was told sorry its been 32 days since you got it and the return policy is 30 days. Heaven forbid if I'm one, two or three days late. They will ring my phone early in the morning all day long for that one payment. I made this mistake twice now. First was with a laptop, said it was going to be shipped in a few days, it never did. I called they said I could go pick it up at the local warehouse, I get there and they have no clue what I am talking about as all online orders for laptops and computers it gets shipped from out of state from the manufacturer. So I called again and they finally figured it out and I got my laptop another week later. Second time it said you could get 3 years no interest on a TV that was $2299, well thats not the case as it has to be a total purchase price of $2999 to get the 3 years which is straight up false advertising on the website. I still bought the TV and did 2 years no interest, and I got a delivery date for 2 days later. That day comes, no call or anything to set up a delivery window. So I call them and they said my order is not processed because I didnt respond to an email providing more documents. I got 5 emails from Conns regarding this order, not a single one of those 5 said anything about needing more documents. They send they would send the email again and I would get it in a few minutes. Two hours later, no email. So I called AGAIN and told them to cancel it and I went into the store, set it up there, did not have to provide any documents or anything aside from my ID and got my TV the next day. If your going to do business with Conns, DO NOT ORDER ONLINE, just go to the store. If there is not Conns store near you, do business with someone else, trust me. Unless you like being frustrated and not getting your items when you expect and also enjoy calling several times and sitting on hold then yea go for it. read more

I paid for a dinning table with chairs for $1500 . First the lady name Katherine Lynn who helped me Lied about having them in stock. Then weeks later I get a call saying they have two chairs available and waiting on two more to come in . Great service. My credit is very low, honestly, but I was surprised to know that I could still finance some great stuff. A big new TV, soundbar, and now a computer desk/chair. All great prices and easy service. Low weekly payments, but easy to payoff in 90 days for zero interest. When dealing with employees, Phillip was our most recent associate. My wife and I were so thankful for all of his help. He gave us plenty of time to choose and decide on what we wanted, was very personable and insightful, and was so helpful in getting our new stuff loaded into the car and having delivery readily available on the same day. I have yet to experience their competitors, but with their selection and service, it's hard to even bother going anywhere else. read more

This was quite an experience, i have never bought anything from Conns but since I was purchasing the assistant manager's home thought I would just buy what I needed from his store. All went well with my purchase but the delivery people they use are very careless with delivery. I had purchased a washer and dryer set, refrigerator and 75 inch Sony television. The day they deliver my items the refrigerator was scratched and handles were on wrong side. The guys that deliver it tried to cover scratch with a black felt tip and said they could not change the way it opened. I am 71 years old and i knew refrigerator handles can be switched easily. After they left i called Conns and the said that they would deliver a new one, when they delivered another one tha handles were still in the wrong place. Third delivery and they finally got it right when they were taking the first one out it was also scratched on the side against a wall i would have never known unless i moved and delivery men never mentioned it. I had previously purchased a $500 television stand that had never had anything on it the that evening i noticed there was a 8 to 10 inches scratch. Update, well I have to add a huge disappointment as I spent the time with the Manager to get my items sooner, half was delivered one day, the rest was supposed to be the next day. Unfortunately, the first delivery went very well, the guys were awesome putting the appliances in place. The reset was to be delivered yet when they called - somehow the manager put my old address on the second half. Needless to say, now my delivery date is past the original date that was scheduled in the first place. I did ask for them to call me back- and I did not get any response. yeah, stupid mistake, and it could happen to anyone however, why would you change the address on the delivery ? This is lengthy but I wanted to include every detail. My purchase experience was great; however, the service afterwards was poor. My advice is to pay attention and get everything in writing. I was on 12 month cash option and it was voided within 3 months because according to them I was late. I was locked out of my account online so I paid over the phone. I was informed it would be paid that date. I followed up with customer service to advise them of the issue (both over the phone and email) and was told everything would be noted and a request would be made to reinstate. I was also informed that as long as I paid within 10 days of my due date, I'm ok -no charges, etc. II called several times regarding reinstatement and was informed that it was on there; what I see online is not updated....Moving forward...I check my account and it has increased by $2,000! I contacted them several times to find out what happened. My original bill was only $3100; I've been paying for a year and I still owe $2900?!!! I was told that since my cash option expired; they put 3 years worth of interest on my account!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! I can see paying interest from the time of expiration and interest added each month?! I'm paying interest for an additional 2 years and I've only had the items for 1 year. I am highly disappointed and want others to be aware. I was also upset that due to everything going on and the impact of COVID on our economic system that I was not given a few extra months for the cash option. I paid every month even while the pandemic is going on and have been a faithful customer. I get a ledger today and it shows mixed balances. My original amount of $3100 went $5162! Another example is that one week says $3160 and two weeks later my balance is $4485 and no one could explain this to me. I really wish I would've did more research. I feel the other customers and getting the run around with departments and still do not truly know if I ever spoke to someone from corporate office. I didn't ask to eliminate my debt. I didn't ask to skip a payment. I asked for an extra month or two extension on the cash option due to the pandemic. It is definitely a lesson learned and I will not be doing business with them again. I caution all of you to pay attention to every detail of what the sales person is saying, ask a lot of questions, pay attention to the terms-they will add all of the interest at once. Don't get fooled by the low monthly price listed. If you can't purchase with cash up front, then make sure you can pay it off in 3-6 months or sooner. I noticed a lot of Conn's responses are that they are sorry and direct you to reach out to yet another email or send them more information. Have anyone of you received an actual response? Resolve? I honestly think they do this to show a response, knowing that most will not follow up. Conn's should reach out to the customer, not just reply on Yelp or other social media to make it "look" good. I went into Conns to purchase a computer for 999.00 and they sent me to Progressive to rent to own which they wanted to charge a 1200 dollar rental fee plus the cost of the computer which would have came up to 2300 total. I felt that the cost was extremely too expensive. I have previously done business with Conns in 2007 through 2010. Things financially had took a turn and I did owe them money. When I was able to pay them I paid them off. This company has held that against me for over 10 years ago. I would not deal with this company if I have to rent to own. I went through HSN for the same computer a little cheaper, and they didn't do a credit check I just had to put money down and I only have to pay 145 over 4 months. That beats going through Conns who put me through progressive to pay double the amount. Progressive wanted me to pay 190 dollars for 12 months plus a deposit. So, I don't have great credit, but I do pay my bills on time (bad utilization and old bankruptcy). Anyway...I found some furniture I liked and finalized the purchase. I had renters insurance and faxed that in right away. All good. I got the coupon book about a week later. Check. Went online to register the info with my bank so I could do bill pay. Check. First payment due March 6th. I got paid 3/3/17 went on bill pay and scheduled the payment. It would be paid on 3/6/17. I get text reminders from them days before. I then get a call on my cell phone at work on 3/7/17. I didn't answer. I googled the number and saw it was Conn's. I wondered why I was getting a call on the due date. The guy was calling to say my payment was late. I explained I went on bill pay and it should be there. I was very rude, I must admit. I had the payment coupon book with me in my office so I called the toll free number. I was rather terse with the rep because it was a day after the due date and I was irritated that they'd make a collection call 1 day after the due date! While I had this woman on the phone I went on my bank's website and told the lady that I was seeing the transaction. Well, she asked me to fax her proof. So I did a screen print and faxed it to them. You'd think that would be good, right? Well, you'd be wrong! Today, I get a letter from Conn's dated March 7, 2017 not referencing my phone calls. The letter states that my payment is late and gives me the cash pay-off amount and that I must make a payment by 3/16/17. I MADE THE PAYMENT ON MARCH 3, 2017!!!!! I FAXED IN A COPY OF MY POSTED TRANSACTIONS!!!!! The letter goes on to say that if I don't pay it by the 16th that the cash option would be voided AND a late fee assessed. Sheesh! I realize that companies that extend credit are putting themselves at risk, but they're certainly charging exorbitant interest rates to compensate. I don't think they realize that when they harass their customers and treat them in this manner that it doesn't help. It's like a parent who nags their kids to take out the garbage. Right now, I have nothing positive to say about Conn's. PLUS, there's a seam tear in my sofa. I don't even want to place a call to see about getting it fixed or replaced because of the negative feelings I have towards them. I've only been a customer for a month. Loved my most recent shopping experience! Not going to lie at first I was a little hesitant about going because of the whole Covid-19 and scared their regulations weren't going to make me feel safe. BUT as soon as we walked in we Were greeted with a very friendly welcome from a sales associate named Ray. He was wearing a mask and made us feel comfortable with asking questions about all the furniture they had. He answered all of our questions, (I wanted to make sure I was spending my money the correct way). He ran back and fourth for us since we were so undecided.. He never rushed us like other associates tend to do. He gave us time and patience. If all the sales associates where like Ray I think I would be shopping more often! I was very disappointed mostly and how they just let me walk out rather than trying to work something out. I went in because a friend had bought a few things a few days before and got 0% interest for a year on everything he bought. I went in and talked to the same salesman that helped my friend. I told him I was kind of interested in upgrading my 65 inch LG to something bigger so we looked at a Samsung 75" priced at $1.500. There was a tag that said 0% interest for a year on purchases of $1.200 or more so I figured I'd do that instead of buying cash and help increase my credit score which is not too bad to begin with. We ran my credit and was approved for $3000 and no downpayment required. The salesman however said I couldn't get the 0 interest and was given so many different excuses I already felt like I was being 'Conned' pun intended. The interest there is 29.9% so means Id pay $450 extra for the tv. I told salesman it made no sense to pay that much interest for something I could buy cash, again I asked if there was something they could do and was told no so I just left. If I owned a business I would try to do whatever I could to serve a customer. They might not need the business. Oh well read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Be sure you read all the complaints before buying from them. They do not care about their customers. I purchased furniture from them. I was told 24 months same as cash in-store. Signed my paperwork, 12 months later they told me it was not 24 months but 12. They told me 2 weeks after the cut-off. So not only was I deceived in-store but they didn't inform me the 12 months was up so they could get that interest. I called and explained my situation and the lady put in a request for me an extended the cash option and said it would only take about 72 hours. I have gotten the run around for a week only for them to tell me no they won't do it. I've been a faithful on time paying customer and they don't even care. All they care about is the dollar. Had an amazing experience at Conn's. Allan helped us; he had wonderful customer service and patience. Allan went above and beyond to make sure that we received a fair price. He even helped us move our couch into the apartment (we rented a U-Haul and live across the street). The other employees also helped us load the U-Haul. All in all, this place was great. read more

I purchased a dual reclining love seat from Conn's. Two days after taking delivery I noticed the right side had an approximate 3" incline towards center. This is very uncomfortable. I called Conn's and scheduled a repair technician. The tech came, told me both sides were incorrect, and it would take Conn's 45 days to either repair or replace. After forty five days, I called Conn's and was told that after two days, this was normal wear and tear and I was totally responsible. Conn's would neither repair or replace, I was the owner of defective furniture. What happened to customer service let alone good craftsmanship? Buyer be ware, buyer be aware of Conn's. read more
