The sales rep was great and spent time with me. However after paying 491.00 for a chandelier I went home the same day and found it at another store for 316.00. I immediately contacted my sales rep and explained the price difference. She got back to me the same day and said "they" would honor the price difference. However the credit did not go through. I called again and was told customer service would issue the credit. Instead of the $175.00 credit I was issued $45.00. We will no longer use Lamps Plus for our lighting and fans as in the past. If you find a price discrepancy know they do not honor it as they claim. VERY DISAPPOINTED! read more

Bit of a "meh" experience. As with all Lamps Plus outlets, this location has a lot of stuff. And, while they have a lot of stuff on display, there is a lot of the same thing . . . same style, same colors, etc.; they all kinda run together rather than providing a diverse selection. Some good quality, some bad quality, some priced low, some priced high so you just need to be careful. Lamps plus first off - of course, has a tonnnnn of lamp options. A ton, ceiling, wall, floor, desk, bathroom, hallway, lighting for any occasion - you've got it. I'd not been to this location and I think the stock showed on the floor is different than the location that I'd been to in west Phoenix. I was greeted the moment I walked in and asked if I needed help. I was really just browsing, so I didn't at the time. I did end up trying to find some lamps for the side of the bed, that don't have to be wired, and those were actually on the back wall. Some cute selections, and price wise, it is a higher price point than what you'd find at Home Depot, but also many more options. Plus probably because it's all lighting, the price point is a little more steep. They did have some sales going on that brought the prices down quite a bit for some items, so was definitely worth checking out. I did end up finding a selection of what I was looking for but took some photos and will have to make a decision with the Mr. And make sure he deems it a solid selection for us. But overall, nice spot, pricey but very nice, and the staff was nice also. I'll return. Only reason not 5 stars was because it wasn't an out of this world stellar experience. read more

We worked with Tess Dageforde to pick and order all of the light fixtures for our home. She is OUTSTANDING! She is resourceful, knows her stock and makes excellent recommendations regarding fixture choice, hanging height and extension rods, light bulb "temperature", appropriate wattage for specific applications, appropriate use of each fixture (inside, outside, mountable up/down, etc), etc. I was not acquainted with the "Certified Pro Sales Agent" certification that she holds but it is clear that it assures an extensive knowledge of product, essential contractor liaison requirements, ordering flexibility (e.g. extra rods, timeframes, storage/transport to build site, etc.). There also happened to be a sale that was applicable to some of our purchases and her irrepressible joy at being able to tack that on to our lengthy accounting was...how can I say this?....it was just SWEET. She is very easy to work with in every regard. There was never any pressure regarding choices or closing the transaction. Every discussion was transparent and driven toward the goal of us leaving COMPLETELY satisfied with the product choices and ordering process. I highly recommend asking for Tess, specifically. It is also worth noting that we had explored lighting fixtures at several other businesses - both brick and mortar stores and online. The total cost of our 15 fixture selections with Tess were less costly than 2 that we had fixated on at another business. We are delighted with all of our choices and do not feel we have sacrificed anything by going with the choices we made with Tess. My wife and I went here looking for a 70 inch fan for a new gym room ( don't mind the walls in this photo). Henry helped us get the fan we wanted and I put it up two days later. The fan did not work but the reviews said it's a common problem with the receiver that it comes with. I went back and Henry and and manager got me a new one and it works perfectly. The service here was great and they are not pushy but only an earshot away if you need anything. Here is the fan we got and so far it's great with the lighting and airflow. read more

The first time we came to this store I thought it was a fluke that not one sales associate attempted to help us make a purchase of a water fountain. That was well over a year ago. Fast forward to today, more sales associates at the computer but no one asked us if we needed assistance. Again, the associates were at the computer or wandering around the store. We attempted to use the kiosk and our selection was no longer available. We are in the midst of a large renovation and apparently they do not need our business. They need employees who have some customer service abilities. Highly recommend any where else but here. read more

Went into the store to purchase pendant lights, and a dining room table light. Observed at least eight employees in this relatively small store, and not one of them approached us to see if we needed help. We eventually sought someone out and asked for help. We were told the light we liked did not come in the color we had hoped for. The employee just walked away. I worked in retail years ago and thought it was just normal that someone ask if you needed help or help you look for other options. This is the second time I've been in the store and this experience happened both times. I'm updating my review of Lamps Plus. As anyone could tell by my first review I was frustrated and upset. Well, they took care of everything. Keli, the store manager contacted me immediately to get all the information and to offer multiple solutions to make me happy. It didn't stop there, she consistently communicated with me to keep me updated as they have been experiencing shipping delays for a year now receiving their products. As soon as my fans were in, they attempted to have them installed within 1 week. Unfortunately I was not available and asked them to schedule it out another week and they totally accommodated my schedule. Bill replaced my two fans and ensured my other fans were working to my satisfaction as well. I was wrong about Lamps Plus and their warranty. They made good on everything and I thank Keli and Bill for that! read more

Customer service is poor to say the least. Purchased an outdoor ceiling fan and when installing noted that there were parts missing (transformer and remote). 45 minute drive to the store to receive them only to find out later they are a universal transformer and remote. Once installed, by an electrician, the fan only runs on 3 speeds out of 6 and will stop for no reason and start up. Contacted an employee at the store to have a tech come out but they only install. No help with the fan except to bring it back to the store. The attitude of the employee was one that didn't care. Last time shopping there. read more

Lamps Plus seems to get a really bad rap. Either they are really bad, or I have just been extremely lucky at both the Dublin CA location and the location in Peoria. Last month I had a lot of things to take care of for my aging Grandmother. As I have written in other reviews, my Grandma is losing her eyesight and on top of that loves to "get a deal" and if there is a coupon involved, it is that much better. Grandma had been on the hunt for a new ceiling fan for her bedroom for months and (a) could not make a decision (b) kept finding ones she liked online and then the item would be out of stock or (c) the price was higher at place x vs. place y but again it was back to the fact that she just couldn't make a decision. Not to toot my own horn (okay, just a little), I went to Lamps Plus, found a ceiling fan I knew she would love, worked with Jack (who was great, btw), took a picture, put the fan on hold, drove back to Grandma who agreed it was perfect and went back to Lamps Plus to make the purchase. I was able to arrange for an install during my trip, they took the old one off, set up her remote and almost an instant makeover to the room. Additionally with Jack's help, I purchased "Daylight" bulbs which don't take anytime to warm up so she could have as much light as possible AND much to Grandma's delight was able to use not one but two coupons towards the purchase! All in all, success and with great customer service I hope more people write more positive reviews! read more

We needed a ceiling fan for a game room that didn't look like it was designed in 1945. They seem to have a LARGE selection of them. We also needed a sconce and a dining room light as well. We looked around and a few salespeople asked if we needed anything or if they could answer any questions. Nothing pushy at all. When we made up our mind, we went to the counter and found a salesperson, asked a few questions, they walked around the store with us and then grabbed what we needed and rang us up. They let us know bulbs came with one of the fixtures, but not all and made a recommendation for LEDs based upon the individual locations. The sconce went up easy as did the dining room light, but apparently there is something to be said about designs from 1945 as this was a difficult ceiling fan to install. Mind you, they didn't make it, but it was tricky and I can't knock them for it. All in all, a really good experience and if we need more lighting, I'll be going there. read more

We went to the store off of 83rd Ave yesterday evening. We had our design pictures and we had previously looked both online and at other retail outlets. Our sales person was Sandra Spann. She asked us detail questions about sign of tables, kitchen islands, size and height of entry hall, etc. She wanted to know our other furniture styles. She asked about our budget. Then she went to work. By the time we left, she had completed our immediate needs for a whole new home. What a relief and what a wonderful experience. Please, if you want a great sales person to help guide you through the maze of lighting needs and design---ask for Sandra Spann. I purchased a $500+ ceiling fan at this store but had to return it because it hung lower than I liked. It was never installed & the only thing taken from the box was the down rod, the motor & some wiring. The first thing that happened was someone started opening the box checking to see that all the parts were there, fair enough. A manager was then called to check the wiring then, the sales person who sold me the fan showed up & started asking questions like, "are there tall people in your family?" and telling me for my ceiling height the fan was "to code". Might be to code but I did not like it hanging so low. The sales person then looked at the manager and mouthed, "it's up to you." I'm positive she didn't know I saw her & that's when I said, "just tell me are you going to take it back or not!" All of a sudden the salesperson became apologetic & said she didn't mean to upset me that she was just trying to help. The manager then said there was no reason they wouldn't take it back. The salesperson at the cash register then told me she would staple my return receipt to the original at which time I thanked her & left. Won't be shopping at this store again which is too bad because I really like what they have. It was like I was committing a federal offense by trying to make a return! read more

One short week ago I spent about $250 for two yellow lamps for my baby's nursery I'm putting together. This is a lot of money for me to spend-on lamps-, but I splurged to get the look I want. I ordered these items online. The shades I thought were off white as pictured online are actually a yellowy beige. My husband and I went to the store to exchange them, and they were going to charge me $60 even though I wanted to exchange for lesser quality, plainer white shades. They were insisting on a 10% restocking fee for the whole lamps even though it's only the shades I wanted to exchange. They were only going to give me $12 credit for each brand new, cellophane-wrapped lamp shade that I believe ran $40-$50 each. In short they've absolutely screwed me over. I will have to buy two expensive white shades somewhere else RATHER THAN GIVE THEM ANOTHER PENNY OF MY MONEY EVER. My husband even called the online people and they are sticking to this. It's ludicrous. I will NEVER DO BUSINESS with this ridiculous company again. They price gouge you and HAVE A HORRIBLE GOUGING EXCHANGE POLICY. read more
