So this store is the worst. To having stocker salesmen (Raymond) to them not following protocol when is come to taking a payment and doing a contract. I went into the store looking for a sofa. This guy kept following me like I stole something. Every time I touched something or sat on a sofa he would go up to me right away asking me if I liked it or what ever the case may be. When it came time to purchase the sofa that dumb ass took my payment without asking for ID or anything. Then proceeds to tell me he is going to write up the ticket but comes back to ask for my ID. I don't have it. Well he starts well I cant give you the pick up slip to pick up your stuff. But wait I just paid. He told me come back tomorrow with your ID and we can finish up. I don't think so. I go into another Conns store at AZ Mills it was great. But when I told them what happened my wonderful sales rep got her manager and I explained what happened. He stated that should of never gotten payment until they verified everything. Well he made a call talked to Raymond and a Jesus who acted brand new. Like what that happened I have to look at the receipts to see if that transaction was really made. I showed my bank statement to the AZ Mills manager who told those guys, hey I see her bank statement and it shows money being removed from her account. They proceed to place him on hold and then they come back saying there are talking to me. LIES because I was sitting right in from on the AZ Mills manager there was no phone call and no I wasn't talking to anyone. The manager called them out. And they gave in to refund my money. But I had to go in. I wasn't happy but I got my money back. Funny thing is one of the worker there told me don't buy anything from here there warranty is garage and the furniture is cheap. WOW yup lets just say this store is a joke and the Manager is not on his team. CONNS.. more like THEY ARE CONNING YOU !!! read more

Update: So I called today to make sure my warranty was cancelled and they still didn't receive the faxed paperwork. Then I find out that all cancellation forms are online and I can print them, fax, email, or mail the forms on my own. However, the phone agent told me yesterday that the form is not available online and she would need to mail the form to me via usps and also the physical store associate told me that I had to come to the store to cancel the warranty and that I could not do it from home. I really do feel this is all a scam to prevent me from cancelling their overpriced insurance and warranty plans before the 30 day expiration. So I emailed AND faxed the cancellation forms for both plans myself today. Original post: Beware..... I went to this location to cancel a warranty on my TV before the 30-day period expired so that I could get a refund of the amount I paid for the warranty. The customer service clerk had me fill out the cancellation paperwork in the store and then told me she would need to fax it. I called the main Conn's number just days before the 30-day period to make sure the paperwork had been faxed and warranty cancelled to make sure that I wasn't getting scammed. Sure enough, the paperwork had not been faxed and my warranty was not cancelled. I contacted the local store and asked to speak to a Manager. He pretended like the clerk had faxed the paperwork, but he would fax it again at that moment and I could call to confirm again. Right!!!!! I suggest that you receive a copy of the confirmation page of the fax if you go to this store to cancel a warranty and I also suggest you follow up with the main Conn's number to confirm your warranty was cancelled.....otherwise, you will be scammed! read more

UPDATE AGAIN: 12/27/2016 After leaving emails, messages, and voicemails on "Customer Service Supervisor" cell phone, still no response from ANYONE. NOBODY THERE CARES ABOUT YOU, THE CUSTOMER!! UPDATE: After receiving two identical messages from you, I doubt that by your canned and impersonal form letter that it will be given any credence whatsoever that would result in any change. If you are serious and this WASNT just a half-hearted dismissal, I would welcome a face to face discussion of the problem. I don't do social media. Yelp is the closest thing. Message me an email address that isn't a social media site if you are serious about rectifying this situation. ORIGINAL MESSAGE: I was on a walk from my hotel with my backpack on. I had just come from the grocery store and had 24 bottles of water in the pack as well as assorted groceries for my hotel stay. I walked into Conn's and was going to take a look at what they had. Well, Bob, my friendly helper/salesman/profiler, asked me if I needed help and I said I was just looking. He said "My manager said that I have to stay close to you because you have a backpack." Incredulously, I looked around and said "I have 45 pounds of groceries in my pack. Are you serious? Do you think I'm a thief?" I asked to speak with the manager. In the midst of this high-order absurdity, I remained relatively calm. I asked the manager if it was her policy or store policy to profile in that way. She overused the word "actually" in every sentence she spoke. I told he that 'there is nothing in this store smaller than a refrigerator in this store and if I could lift it and place said refrigerator in my pack, they would have much worse problems than a missing refrigerator. After retiring from the Sheriff's department with more than 28 years of service, I have seen my share of PCP user's superhuman strength. Thank goodness Bob was there to prevent that from happening. I was dressed in nice clean cargo shorts, a button down shirt, and my Army hat with an American flag patch on it. I sure didn't look like a dirtbag. I really recommend going somewhere else. This place is too much like a Rent to Own store or a Payday Loan company. This was my first and last time there or any of its affiliates. read more

My issue concerns a tech that came out to my home to install my fridge I purchased for my new home that has an home inspection prior to move in. Two techs came out to my home on Sunday7/28/19. My 20 year old nephew was home to allow the gentlemen in. Once they arrived they were to connect the fridge. My water was not on as I just purchased my home and it was due to be on the following business day. So, I my nephew calls me and says they tech informed him that customer service will be calling me. I asked why, and he stated while the techs were still their, and I asked about what. he stated he didn't know. So customer service phone me as I was in route home and stated the techs are reporting the valve is corroded. I said, I don't see how and that the techs didn't inform me of that. So, once I arrived at my home the techs were in there truck. One got out and stated everything looks good. He stated, he thought it was corroded but it was because the water isn't on. I said, well how do you confuse the two? I said, do I need to do anything. The tech said no, he said I hooked up everything and the water line for the ice machine. If there is any leaking just give us a call and we will come back out to fix it. He added, just turn valve off/on to start to stop working.The tech ensured me that there was no issues so I didn't ask him to show me or to go behind him. My water was turned on the next day which was Monday, and water was coming from the connection valve where my fridge was hooked up. Luckily my nephew was still at the house to turn off main water line due to flooding occurring from pouring leaking water. So, once I got home the fridge was pulled out and my nephew showed me what was on the floor. It was the valve piece. So, I phoned customer service and asked if someone can come out due to leaks. I was informed that the techs reported of the corrosion and took a picture of their work that didn't indicate hooking up water line for ice machine. I informed them that the tech verbalized to me face to face everything was ok and to call if any issues. The customer service declined to help. I then asked for a supervisor who stated there was nothing he can do, do to what the tech documented. I then phoned and made a complaint at head quarters. And they phoned me back three days later which is today I spoke with them in regards to the incident report I filed on Monday. And stated there is no evidence that the tech hooked it up. Conn's is a welcome addition to my neighborhood. It replaced a Sears that closed - they are very similar in some respects. Conn's has an excellent variety of home furniture and appliances. From couches to chaises (I got a loveseat and a chaise lounge) to big screen tv's, dishwashers and bassinets, their selection is good. Conn's (like Sears, too) specializes in giving credit to folks - even those with less than stellar credit reports. The sales people (when I've gone in) are friendly and come up to help. read more

I had never been here before and my wife had visited once before. She got a line of credit and got the card in the mail so we went to see about getting a Christmas gift. We found a bluetooth speaker for sale for 109.00. We took the card and the item to a clerk and then the fun began. They had to enter all the information about the item in manually because the do not have scanners for the bar code. Then they wanted my wives social to enter into the computer for the transaction. This whole process took almost 20 minutes. They also had her sign six different places including a statement that the product was in good order and worked dispite it still being in the box. Then the clerk took all the papers and the product to what I guess was the store manager and then came back and wanted a copy of her DL. We decided that we no longer wanted to make the purchase and the manager took all the papers and torn them up and said Okay. When we asked if the charges would still go through his reply was not until midnight and only if i do not go into the system and cancel them. He did not offer us anything to prove this would happen and were very dismissing of our concerns. I have purchased cars that took less time to run the credit and sign the contract. read more

NEVER, EVER, EVER buy anything from Conn's!! They don't guarantee Next Day Delivery and they deliver damaged merchandise and tell you you're stuck with it!! We purchased an LG refrigerator and they told us they couldn't deliver it the next day. Then when it was delivered, there were superficial damages to the lower drawer that they refused to acknowledge. Their management takes absolutely no responsibility and they offered no concessions whatsoever. They don't stand behind their products or their customer service. Double dipping. Has written me two different contracts on same item. 1st contract voided to be superceded by second contract. This store management refuses to write void on first contract and supercedes old contract on 2nd contract. Ruining my credited and harassing me 4 times a day to pay on both contracts. The Luv seat and couch I got from them for $2800, were so poorly made, stuffing fell out of them from manufacturer defects. It took 4 months and filling BBB, for them to fix them. The terrible washer/dry, they refused 30 day returnon. After filling BBB, Against them, I returned a this producted that destroyed my clothing. They took off first contract. Now. They want money for two contracts, double dipping me. Now, I have them and management for aiding and abiding criminal activity. read more

On 11/26/2016 we went to the Conn's located on 4531 E. Thomas Rd. in Phoenix, AZ. We purchased several items with a grand total of $7,446.63 and over the years we have spent close to $25,000.00 at Conn's. Included in this purchase we bought a black Bowden TV Console for $399.99 and the Fireplace Insert that goes with the TV Console at a cost of $240.00 and the name of our salesperson was Cherie and the manager on duty at this location was Scott. We agreed to have all the items delivered to our home on 12/2/2016 and have everything set up because it was my son's 9th birthday on 12/3/2016. So I took the day off of work and all of the items were delivered and but the delivery drivers didn't set up the Bowden TV Console so I called the store and Cherie told me that there would be an extra charge for the delivery drivers to set up the Bowden TV Console, but since the drivers had already left I said I would set it up myself and at no time did Cherie or Scott tell me that if I wanted the Bowden TV Console set up that there would be an extra charge. So, I opened the Bowden TV box it came in and when I opened the box the color of the Bowden TV Console was white. I called the store immediately spoke with Cherie and Scott several times and told them that I need the correct Bowden TV console item delivered to me because the one that was delivered is the wrong color. Cherie said that the wrong tag was on the item that I wanted. Cherie stated that the tag that was on the Bowden TV Console was for the white Bowden TV Console but she also stated that they don't even have white Bowden TV Console's in the store. Cherie and Scott both stated to me that they have one black Bowden TV Console at their store and it would be built up and delivered to me on Saturday. So now I am now agreeing to another delivery date for Conn's incompetency. I told Scott that this needs to be delivered to me before 10:0 am on 12/3/2016 because it is my son's 9th birthday and I will be having a lot of people setting up for my son's birthday and I have get my son out of the house because this is going to be a surprise birthday. Scott stated he does not control the delivery times so I get the confirmation time from the delivery company and they stated it would be delivered on 12/3/2016 between 12:15 and 3:15 in the afternoon. So, my husband stayed home along with my niece so they set up and wait for the caterers and for the guest to arrive as well and now they had to wait for the delivery driver to arrive from Conn's. I get a phone call from Cherie around 1:00pm on 12/3/2016 and she stated that the black Bowden TV Console they had at the store was damaged. She also stated that if I wanted it that Conn's would take 35% off the price of the Bowden TV Console. I told Cherie that I am not at home and when the delivery driver delivers the merchandise that Lee will make that decision to either accept or deny delivery. Lee refused to take the product because the damaged was so visible and the Bowden TV Console was not even completely built up as promised by Cherie and Scott. The delivery driver said he could not get the Fireplace Insert because it was missing pieces. The delivery driver also stated that he was arguing with staff of the Conn's store on Thomas because he was delivering damaged product and on the receipt, it said that it was new merchandise. When I finally got home with my son I had to spend most of my time with Conn's on the phone instead of enjoying my son's birthday. The delivery driver didn't even take the wrong merchandise with him. So now I have this big box in the middle of my living since Friday 12/2/2016 sitting on the floor and the box is very heavy. So, Conn's ruined my sons 9th birthday and Conn's can't even acknowledge or care about this. read more
