My mistake was not asking for the definition of "not bad". Went to Buehler's and had breakfast. About 10:40 returned to the lot and the car had not moved from the parking spot I left it in. Yes, they were busy. Yes, the parking lot was full. I am now questioning the point of appointments completely. Second time this has happened at this location in the last year. What happened? Conrads (Jackson Twp) has done good work at fair pricing in the past but recently they seem to have forgotten about customer service. Made an appt for 8 am for suspension work. Dropped it at 745 am and left it for day. Never heard from them so picked up un-serviced vehicle at 6 pm as they were not going to look at my car that day (despite having an appt). What was that Seinfeld episode - they can take the appt, they just can't hold the appt. Figured they were busy so made another appt (830 am) a week later for new tires and aforementioned suspension problem. Dropped it off at 745 am. Never heard from them until 6 pm saying tires were installed. I asked about the suspension and they said that a junior tech looked at it but they needed a senior tech to inspect. So left car overnight with promise it would be serviced first thing next day. I assumed first thing would be shortly after their 730 am opening. But crickets chirping. Called at 1030 and they apologized but was told I am up next on the rack. By 330 pm - still no word. Fed up, I got a ride to Conrads and the vehicle was sitting in the parking lot and had not been serviced. Why lie? If they cannot do the work in a timely manner, just communicate! read more

This will be my last time using Conrad's on Fulton rd-Jackson twp . I made an appointment for a car alignment at 12:30 with the assurance that it would be done by 3:00. I told them if it wasn't possible I would make the appointment for an other day. Dropped car off at 12:15 and went back at 3:00 and car had never been touched. I came in to get 2 rear tires on my truck and now they are trying to charge me a extra $500 for new rims because "they can't hold air"

They got me too! Should have read the reviews. Tried to be one of their 5pm customers I should have known they were going to rush the job. Reasonably sure they did the oil change. Although when I came to check in they seemed a little bit confused about the different options that they had. Then when I came to pick up the car they were unable to give me a readout on what they had done. They were out of printer paper and did not seem very interested in printing up a receipt for me at all. When I asked if they had rotated the tires, the guy seemed confused hesitated and then said yes. When I asked him what the tire tread depth was, he looked at the computer for a second and then looked blankly at me and then just went and measured it while it was sitting out in the parking lot and came back and said they're fine. Lol. I'm reasonably sure that they did not take the time to touch the tires at all because it is now two weeks later and I'm in a parking lot and all four tires are about 8 lb low. I have my doubts whether they redid the fluid or not but I don't have any proof on that . All in all seem like they were phoning it in. Will be going right back to Goodyear. read more

i have gotten alignments here before and appreciate the warranty put in the alignment and have used that warranty to have my alignment fixed to hear that i shouldn't need one unless something significant happens to it is changed in my car. last time i went i was told i needed new tires, so i got new tires. they told me they'd price match but didn't, they asked me if i bought the tires there but didn't tell me if they saw such a history in their computer system. Then they tell me my car needs 1800 worth of repairs and sends me a video telling me that someone else put the wrong break parts on my car. all this sounds suspicious so i take it to another trusted mechanic for them to tell me i don't need any of the repairs they told me i did. I had taken my car in for an ac problem. My husband asked them to check for a clogged line. The master tech number 2235 said that wasn't the issue and tried to ignore the fact my husband asked them to check it. This was June 16th. They changed my cabin filter which yes it Def needed it. But never fixed the problem. I paid 115.00 for them to clean it out and put another filter in. Then told a family member that comes there to help them our from time to time from another location. That we declined the clogged line service. Why would I do that when it would of just been a little more to check that. Well needless to say my husband finally had time to look into it last night. Found the problem not only was it clogged and full if water. My heat shield was pushing against the line. If your not gonna do what the customer suggests when u call them and tell them you only found the cabin filter needed changed and nothing else. Then maybe you should do what your customer asked you to check. Maybe the master tech needs to hang up his wrenches and find a new job flipping burgers. read more

I am done with Conrad's in Jackson. My check engine light came on because they forgot the put the oil cap back on. Who does that?? Stop trying to schedule so many oil changes in an hour. Lost all faith in this company. They offer me a free oil change in the future for my problems. I am not coming back. They never once offered to return my money for today visit. I would not recommend Conrads. Took my car in for a $59.00 oil change (synthetic oil). Asked them to check breaks as they were noisy every now and then. At my last oil change at a different establishment they said breaks had about 50% life left but wanted to check just in case. Manager said it would be close to $600 for the oil change and back breaks only. After I questioned him he came down $50. I said that still seems like a lot. He finally came down to $393.00. But what if I never questioned the amount? It seems like they jack the price up just to see if people bite. How many people just say yes?? Then they were nice enough to give us another estimate on other "needed" items: tires, struts, tune up $2238.00. I wont be going back. read more

WEnt to the Ellet one due to convenient location and was planning on just getting tires. Thought it needed something else done due to vibration when the wheel was turned while driving so was expecting a little extra. No problem they said my ball joint needed done and they couldnt do alignment without doing it. Ill skip some details but the main thing is that they didnt tighten bolts down and it was super loose and I almost got into a wreak. They tightened the bolts down...really something pretty basic right??? Then my low tire pressure light came on like two days later...Remember new tires right? So I put air in the rear passenger side that was low. Ok maybe their sloppy asses didnt fill it up. Nope two weeks later same thing. Was Indiana visiting family and well glad I didnt die on the drive out because something wasnt tightened down etc so definitely didnt want to die on the way home. Took it to a tire shop and they said the valve broke so replaced it...Now my car is making some other noise that was never there before. So they try to sell you safetly but make your car less safe after you go there. Now Im probably going to have to take someplace else to fix what they did. Oh one more thing when I called about the low tire pressure, Mike, tried blowing smoke up my ass by telling me " oh with the temperature fluctuations,..." Do you think Im an idiot? Bang for my bucks! I got a full set of tires and alignment for just under $400, last time I bought a set from Firestone and it cost over $500. It was really nice being able to see the out the door cost online and have it guaranteed for 14 days too. The downside was that it took 3.5 hours to complete when they estimated 1-2 hours. They gave a discount for the inconvenience so I'm going with 5 stars. read more

Service at this station has gone down really far! Guess I'll be taking my service elsewhere! 2Hrs for oil change and lub with tire rotation ? I made a online appointment for 12:00pm only to find out once I got here that they have 7 scheduled appointments for the same time! I'm sorry to say that I got suckered in by Conrads again. I received a rewards certificate for $25 so I foolishly thought ok, I will get an oil change tire rotation and alignment. I scheduled a drop off appointment for 4pm today and arrived at 3:30 and left the vehicle. They told me it would be completed by their 6:00 close time. I arrived at 5:40 to pay for the work but the work had not even been started. My car was still sitting in the parking lot in the exact same place I parked it. So what does Conrads say? They make excuses as always, they got busy. Well guess what, I'm busy too. I'm shocked that they can stay in business because each and every experience I've had with the is HORRIBLE. Workers are great, but the company overall does not cut it. I went to this shop for a few years. In that time, they messed up my spark plug wires so my engine was misfiring, they use cheap parts/products that don't last and cause more issues, they overcharge for the parts and service provided, and they overwhel their workers on a daily basis so they can't slow down and do a good job. I think I have found a new page for tires. Conrad's recently moved into our area. It looks like they have normal tire, oil and battery service and other services. I have an old golf cart that had deflated tires that would not hold air because the tire would not seal against the rim. I called and they said they could help even though they don't work on golf carts. I brought in the tires. They took them right in and filled them with air. I was only there 10 minutes. They didn't even charge me. They even replaced one of the stems for free too. I helped myself to free popcorn that they offer in their waiting room. They also offer cans of soda. Overall a very service oriented business! read more

I went to get an oil change at the jackson twp location. I had a coupon that included a 4 tire rotation and a free alignment inspection. After the tire rotation my alignment was off and was pulling badly. When i asked them about the alignment inspection, they said they didnt do it. Reason being they said that all my fluids needed flushed so if any money was gonna be put into the car it would be for that. Also they didnt rotate the tires properly. I will never go there for any service ever again. Now im gonna have to pay someone to fix my alignment they messed up. All i really wanted was an oil change. read more

If you want free pop, water and popcorn - this is the place for you. If you want your car taken care of quickly, professionally, and safely....keep looking elsewhere. Waiting for over 2 hours for just an oil change and tire rotation, I was offered "options" like wiper blades, etc. When I finally got the car home and checked the oil level I found it slightly dirty (not pure clean). Got two new tires and was told my right outer tie rod needed replaced "sooner rather than later." Got the parts to do my outer tie rod myself. When I pulled it there was NOTHING wrong with it! Now due to having pulled off my tie rods I need an alignment. So I'll be spending money I didn't need to! My opinion is that they try to take advantage of females.
