Normally this is my "go to" flower spot when I have a coworkers birthday, congratulations or other special occasion. They give a Cal State Long Beach discount with ID. However, why close at 5pm?? People work after 5pm. I guess these guys make enough money to pay the bills and that's good enough. But what about all those "I'm sorry I worked late bouquets" or the "oh shit I forgot our anniversary bouquets"? I tried to stop by at 6:30 tonight to buy Birthday flowers for my mother-in-law and found they were closed. My bad for thinking I could stop by after work!! I ordered three arrangements for $231.42 for Saturday March 23. They were NOT fresh arrived all wilted and sad looking. I was not there to receive but would have returned if I was. My mother in laws funeral happened to land on the weekend I needed the flowers, when I looked it up online it showed you could order and pay but when I called the store they said they had no funeral flowers and weren't gonna be able to do them because they were too busy. I ordered online reluctantly bc I was desperate for some flowers. Online also never had a time for pick up so i was even more confused, it just happened that when we called, they were just finishing it up. As soon as we got there we were ignored for 5 mins while the florist lady called the other lady to come out and help us, as soon as she comes out to give us the flowers she starts ringing up another customer, even though our flowers were already paid and good to go. I wouldn't recommend this place. The flowers also didn't look like what I ordered. It was supposed to be a lilac purple and flowers were falling the whole time. read more

i'll keep this short and sweet - my husband ordered a bouquet for me for mother's day to be delivered early (in this case, friday 5/8). when they were delivered that afternoon, he was upset to see that the lilies weren't open - i reassured him that they would open in a day or so, and that the bouquet was lovely, not to worry. unfortunately, this is what they looked like by sunday morning. every single one of them is dead. i mind far less than he does (it was sweet that he sent flowers in the first place, and sent them early so i could enjoy them all weekend), but it's worth noting that this cost $97. $97 for two or three roses, filler stock, and dead lilies. he's pretty furious, and i know that if i'd been the one who sent these to someone i cared about, i would be absolutely BESIDE myself. read more

Please save your time and don't stop here. I went in and was "greeted" by a customer service rep/ florist. She was working by herself and clearly very overwhelmed. She told me that their stock is in the refrigerator. I went in and was very disappointed. There were roughly 1 dozen arrangements all looked like they were made 1-2 weeks ago and VERY overpriced. I asked if she was available to make something small and fresh and she said no, she's booked until 4P. Also, when I was looking at the flowers on a cart she quickly said those aren't for sale. Disappointed in the device. The owners were condescending and snapping to their new hire who was going above and beyond to help me get the arrangement I wanted. Store had used cigarette that one of the owners had smoked right on the counter near register, with a horrible smell. Neither owner present would actually pay me attention and help answer questions. A third owner came in with lunch and they were more focused on that then helping a paying customer. I was asked why didn't I do this all online- well I live down the street and it's easier. Melissa, the new hire was amazing and I hope she lasts there. Order arrived on Mother's Day and it was not all what I ordered. It was supposed to be in a purple vase- owner checked and said yes they have one- it was sent in a clear vase. I paid for the purple vase. Called the store to discuss the mix up since my order clearly stated Purple Vase- I was told that they would deliver just a vase tomorrow and that's all they would do. I did receive a delivery from Conroy's on the 24th. The young man who delivered this time was very nice. He was NOT the original delivery driver. I asked him if he had any trouble locating my home and he said not at all. Despite my finally receiving a nice arrangement, there is no doubt in my mind that I only received it as a result of 1-800 flowers contacting this shop directly and telling them to replace it. Nothing in this shop's demeanor gave me any indication that they would replace the arrangement they mis-delivered or really cared anything about it. They never even said they were sorry. The only reason for the missing star is because he specifically asked them to deliver it before 10am (as I was leaving after that) and they failed to do that. They did say they could try and redeliver it but there was a two hour window and I didn't have that kind of time. According to google and yelp they closed at 6pm I stopped there today at 5:45 pm. If I could leave no stars I would have. I placed an order over the phone with Bridget for a valentines flower delivery. Customer service was great. She even called me back to verify the sku for the flowers I wanted. She asked me where I wanted the flowers delivered and by what time. I told her the address which is literally across the street from the flower shop. I told her my wife works at the hospital between the hours of 6am-3pm. She confirmed the hours and promised me the flowers would get delivered between those hours. She asked me for a credit card and finished processing my order. I was satisfied. Come Valentine's Day, my wife is telling me how everyone at work is getting flowers and chocolates and gifts except for her. I call the flower shop to find out the status on my order since it was getting close to 3pm. The person who picked up was rude and told me if I didn't pay for express then they had until the end of the day to deliver the flowers. I told her that was never expressed nor said to me with Bridget. I asked if the order wasn't delivered will I get a refund? She responded in a rude way, "I don't know you have to speak to the supervisor". I told her I'll call back at 3pm. At 3pm I called my wife and asked her if she received any flowers. Stay away from this place if you are looking for the best flowers and service! By far the worst experience! I purchased flowers the night before I had them sent to my mother on her birthday. When she received them they were wilted and bruised. Were these the same flowers I picked out? And how were they stored? My mother sent them back with the driver. We went to the store to exchange them and the women behind the counter (Ruby) had the worst attitude!! She was slamming things around, yanking out the flowers that were bruised and unapologetic. I have recently started utilising the services of florists. My new love is a real girly woman and loves to receive flowers. I have bought more flowers in the last couple months than my entire life. I was rather disappointed with the flowers I got here, as I was only looking for red roses the lack of selection didn't make much difference to me. The gave me the best roses I saw there, but the buds were already opened. Also I had to ask for them to put the little vials of water on the stems. They were also quite delayed because there is only 1 computer/register available for them to ring people up. So even though I was ready to go, I had to wait for the other girl working with a customer to finish before I could pay and get going. I would probably not go back. I have never really happy with Conroys, but it had been decades since I had been to one, and most locations have gone out of business, so I hoped/expected the remaining locations to be good quality. I selected the mangers choice arrangement. The flowers were very fresh and lasted well over a week with most still looking good at nine days.
