We showed up pretty late, so we were only able to do the Safari tour, which is one of the main attractions, but it was completely worth it. The way the Safari is laid out is unbelievable. Traveling through the park and seeing all the animals spread out across these huge open areas really makes you feel like you're on an actual safari. There's so much room and space for the animals to graze and move around naturally, and it was amazing seeing how different animals interacted with each other or how the sections were designed to feel natural and immersive. They also have a zip line that runs across the safari area and a hot air balloon that goes up and down over the park, plus plenty of other attractions and exhibits that we didn't even get a chance to see. Definitely worth checking out, especially the guided Safari tour portion. One important thing to note -- if you're searching for it online or using GPS, make sure you search for the "Safari Park" and not just the San Diego Zoo. The Safari Park is located up in the hills and is a completely different location from the actual zoo in downtown San Diego.

I went with a group of adults and we all had a good time. The "balloon" ride is a great way to see a birds eye view of the park, and I also recommend taking the tram tour.

I loved the first drop it was really smooth it was only the last few drops that was really shaky! Honestly I had to hover above my seat so I wouldn't be tossed on my friend lol! Tip: Come here early on the weekends because it is much cooler and less crowded. Also get on the Tram before 11:30 to avoid long lines. Some of the exhibits to see are the Tiger Trail, Lion exhibit and Gorilla exhibit. You can get real close (Just a thick piece of Glass between you and the Animal) and see how they interact. I have seen the Lions Male and Females fight over a Large Leg Bone the trainer threw out - It was Really cool. Also check out the Cheetah Run usually once a day at 3:30. 0-60 in about 3.5 seconds. Really amazing to watch!

They offer burgers, fries and nachos as well as churros! What else can you ask for!? With the southern end view of the mountains, it's ideal if you just want to forget about the worries of the world - even if only for a few minutes. With many tables available as well as shady spots, you can expect me to spend a little extra time here at the terrace. I'll be back for sure as I live food and one of a kind views of the San Pasqual Valley.

The horror campout was a blast!…read more The actors are really engaging from the moment folks start to line up. And they are far more creepy and realistic than the monsters you see in a typical haunted house. The Hell Hunt is really the draw to the whole event. Tons of fun. NOT easy! It really is important to read your dossier fully before arriving to put together all the clues and hints to help you along the course. The only aspect I didn't like was Blood Tag. But this was because of the participants. Even with goggles on, it is NOT ok to shoot people in the face, y'all! It might be helpful if the facilitators made this a rule of the game and announced it beforehand. The actors and "counselors" were just great all around. In addition to being creepy, and always staying in character, they were really helpful and genuinely wanted everyone to have a good time. For example, if they saw someone struggling, they would sort of help them along while still staying true to the game. *potential spoilers* Some favorite characters were: Sister, the doctor (meoooooow!), mothman (ULTRA creepy!), and the voodoo dancers (y'all really made me earn that shit!). One last suggestion/request - it would be cool to have a cookout, even if it's just hotdogs/veggie dogs and/or burgers or something simple like that. And coffee and bagels for breakfast would be nice (even though I didn't end up staying over, but had thought of that when I intended to). I love LEGOLAND! We used to live close by to the park, but our girls were girl by the time like a…read moreland came around. Now that our grandchildren are here, I have the privilege to be able to take them when they are available. I love that the park is so close to where my grandchildren live. I am able to take them sometimes after school for even just a couple of hours since we have an annual pass we can go anytime. I love that. The park is not too big that I can take them around the park easily. I haven't taken the kids to the waterpark located in LEGOLAND. I will leave that up to their mom to take them. Customer service varies. During today's visit I had a couple of employees that just aren't personable. There's a lot more pros than cons so I will give them that. Like anything else anywhere else the food and snack prices are very high. The good thing is they allow you to bring outdoor food and drink. I would return specially for some apple fries. If you haven't tried them yet. Make sure you do. I will continue to return to LEGOLAND as long as my grand kiddos, still wish to visit LEGOLAND. I noticed a few new rides and a little mini CVS kiosk.

However, it seems like for the majority of the rides, your child has to be at least 4 years old or 42 inches tall, & unlike Disneyland, you cannot wear your baby in a baby carrier for the rides without a height requirement - except for only ONE ride in the whole park, which was disappointing because at Disneyland I can baby wear my infant for MULTIPLE RIDES, and I spent about the same money for Legoland as I would've for Disney. Also, parking is $40 It's also a bummer that Legoland is typically only open from 10am-5pm. The day goes by fast when you aren't given as much time to explore. Besides those critiques, for YOUNG CHILDREN, Legoland is a wonderful theme park. They have a lot of different FOOD OPTIONS which made feeding the kids easy. They were well staffed and nearly every ride was open & operating. There are multiple different areas throughout the park where you can get some hands-on Lego building experience which is fun and unique to this theme park. Also, there are multiple playgrounds throughout the park which accommodated both my 3 year old and my 1.5 year old. So I could definitely see us returning BUT probably not until our kids are at least 4 years old, so they can actually go on some more rides.
